20th July we will know if first consortium has been successful, is what I am be told.

18 Jul 2016 20:06:23
Who is first consortium?

18 Jul 2016 20:16:37
Who as told you this Derbywolf, well not the name we now you will not say that but give us a clue say 80% 90% or are you 100% sure or are you another shit fan in disguise jelous of us being taken over.

18 Jul 2016 20:20:49
Yawn.

18 Jul 2016 20:35:36
As time goes on and on I'm feeling more that the spanish map dos'nt show Brom and someone pointed at Wolverhampton.! and they looked up wolves and ran it. Please let it not be the s**** . The thought of Moxey heading a takeover makes me sick. Its a pain now and if nothing else we should be given some kind of statement. The club are not giving a t*** about us. What a way to carry on.

18 Jul 2016 21:29:54
Another ITK who knows nothing, come on you lot just wait for announcement, nobody knows nothing, not even the players, so sandwell fans, bored kids, drama queens, attention seekers, jog on!

18 Jul 2016 21:30:39
Bigwolf fully understand your sentiment, l have known some stuff for weeks and frankly doing my head in. So I an wire happy to divulge privately to the editor my season ticket number etc to verify.
I do not know who is involved on the leading consortium, but we all will know in 48 hours if they have been successful or not.
If not successful I know of 2 consortium's in line waiting.
Information is from two sources I have know for a lot of years and trust. Both devote Wolves fans.

18 Jul 2016 21:41:04
More drivel.

18 Jul 2016 21:41:09
So less than 48 hours and we will if my info is correct.

18 Jul 2016 21:42:11
I take it if they are successful we will hear later in the week then?

18 Jul 2016 21:43:43
Who are the other 2 consortiums involved if the first one fails?

18 Jul 2016 21:47:20
It's Tweedledum and Tweedledee's consortium's.

18 Jul 2016 22:00:40

Paul t next group on line is Chinese but does not include Robin Li. They will come in if first group do not finalise on 20th July.
Third group are a mixture, mainly Europeans, they were impressed with the while c set up and with Morgan!
Information from two separate sources who I have known for a long time and neither would make it up that's for sure.
I apologise now for telling you this I should have just said something like "squeaky bum time is 20 July"
Again happy to verify to editor I am season ticket holder.

18 Jul 2016 22:03:57
What a load of tosh. fact is since nda signed we will not hear nothing until its completed. its as simple as that.

18 Jul 2016 22:08:23
Just say who it is, the football league or fa have had the paperwork. Give a big clue else?

18 Jul 2016 22:10:06
Correct you won't took 20th July.

18 Jul 2016 22:10:11
Are these Americans or British then?

18 Jul 2016 22:11:07
Ed thanks for taking out my rude comment!

{Ed003's Note - more the point it could cause the thread to end up a row,no need.}

18 Jul 2016 22:16:45
Do 2nd consortium is Chinese 3rd is European wbu the main one.

18 Jul 2016 22:16:54
Sorry Paul what are you asking me?

18 Jul 2016 22:33:11
No Brits, no Americans and no Moxey.

18 Jul 2016 22:37:13
I think the uncertainty is starting to get us all fearful of the coming season and let's face it no one really knows what's going on. Derby Wolf I appreciate you have contacts but why would only the first consortium have a deadline and why would it fail I'm not sure. Surely the only reason any will fail is the fit and proper test by the league and let's face it if the Leeds owner can pass then anyone can. It will be interesting if a takeover goes through who will come on here and say my contacts full of it. We'll see.

18 Jul 2016 22:57:05
If u know 2 out the 3, as a Wolves fan which would be the best one for the club in your opinion.

18 Jul 2016 22:58:56
Darbo I am not after glory of any kind
Should have kept my mouth shut, sorry made a mistake giving out what I knew.

19 Jul 2016 07:57:32
Hope your right Derby, and hope the 1st consortium is wealthy and ambitious.

19 Jul 2016 09:25:00
Derby I wasn't looking to shoot you down sorry if you thought that. I would be happy to get new owners in sooner rather than later and I hope you're right at least your posts differs to a lot of others jumping on the band wagon and saying they are ITK.

19 Jul 2016 09:53:15
Nobody am in the know. let alone people writing crap on here. we've had a announcement every day for the last 3 weeks.

19 Jul 2016 05:58:42
Isn't Blackpool's owner a convicted rapist? Or was that after he's already purchased the club? Or does 'fit and proper' only cover finances and that?

{Ed003's Note - After }

19 Jul 2016 16:11:03
I think you have to look at the Blackpools owner father Mr Owen Oysten for the answer to that question!

{Ed001's Note - Owen is the owner, Karl, the son, is the chairman.}

19 Jul 2016 16:27:43
All I can say is the wait is killing us all.

19 Jul 2016 21:09:55
The same ITK people who posted it would happen last week? Just keep singing tomorrow tomorrow.

18 Jul 2016 18:07:58
Robin Li not involved with AC Milan takeover.
From Bloomberg

goo.gl/N81Adq

18 Jul 2016 18:43:16
Also seen the press release from Baidu ( his company) and yes they deny that he's involved I AC Milan takeover but they haven't mentioned Wolves at all. I find that strange surely they would deny both at the same time if there was nothing in it. Don't you agree?

18 Jul 2016 19:02:11
Yes I do darbo I've tweeted the guy at bloomberg and he's looking into it.

18 Jul 2016 19:08:03
Do you have a link to the press release as I can't find it?

18 Jul 2016 19:17:18
For me it sounds positive let us know as soon as you know Bhamwolf 👍.

18 Jul 2016 19:19:21
This would seem to put into question ballague's initial claim though wouldn't it?

He seemed to be saying Li was in for Milan and Wolves - and at least half of that would appear to be wrong?!

I just don't see why a multi billionaire would but Wolves when they could buy any premier league team they wanted and save a bit of time.

18 Jul 2016 19:21:25
Be careful l just hope it's not the Baggies he is involved with!

18 Jul 2016 20:02:40
Can't believe Balague was wrong.

18 Jul 2016 21:31:55
A corsortium involving robin li as purchased Milan. robin li is buying wolves on his own not with a consortium.

18 Jul 2016 21:51:19
Why pay over exhorbiant prices for a prem team rap if u got spend £200m min 2b even half decent and still may not win league yet can spend £30-60m on championship team ( debt depending ) then say another £30m on team prob win league ( lots coverage in Asian press) then push on in prem - end day championship clubs = value for money.

18 Jul 2016 17:07:42
Just spotted a tweet stating that the takeover is to be confirmed on Tuesday - sky sports news.

18 Jul 2016 17:27:42
Nothing on sky sports.

18 Jul 2016 17:30:02
Where have you spotted that then?

18 Jul 2016 17:35:28
Have you got a link?

18 Jul 2016 17:38:45
don't bother guys it's some sad baggy boy who has set up a FAKE ACCOUNT check the spelling because they'm all thick in SANDWELL.

18 Jul 2016 17:39:59
Fake account only 3 followers.

18 Jul 2016 17:40:11
Fake account chaps.

18 Jul 2016 17:40:13
Anyone ever heard of skysportsnaws lol.

18 Jul 2016 17:41:34
It's a fake dnt get your hopes up😟😟.

18 Jul 2016 17:41:52
It's fake skysportsnaws.

18 Jul 2016 17:41:55
That's a fake twitter account.

18 Jul 2016 17:43:26
Its not the official twitter account of sky sports - @skysportsnawshq.

18 Jul 2016 17:54:49
Been working at the molineux all day in the bar and had to travel over to the billy Wright stand where they hold press conferences. I can confirm that there was a big set up in the press conference room for tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm. It's up to you how you read in to it but it looked like a potential takeover or new signing to be announced.

18 Jul 2016 17:57:41
Oh well, I'll hold my hands up and accept I've been hoodwinked.

18 Jul 2016 17:59:48
Robin Li isn't buying AC Milan. check bloombergs twitter account.

18 Jul 2016 18:07:14
Some itk posters on the boggies site saying they're going to be playing boring defensive football again next season with 17th considered a success. Recons he's 100 percent on this one.

18 Jul 2016 18:50:28
Don't shoot me.

But does anyone get the feeling that Moxey could be buying the club.

It does not make sense why there's know news anywhere. Just rumours and stories and today's the day.

If he buys the club the longer he drags out the deal means no time to bye players.

I really hope I'm wrong. worried.!

18 Jul 2016 18:52:10
True, Bloomberg is saying that Robin Li is NOT buying AC Milan but there is no mention of Wolverhampton Wanderers either.
Zachwolf re your post that there will be a news conference at 2pm tomorrow well i'll take it with a pinch of salt and just wait and see whether anything happens or not.

18 Jul 2016 19:00:18
JP how come you did not take a picture of this so called press conference room? only asking as a pic was published last week with a conference room set up. Where did you get the info it was set up for tomorrow at 2.

18 Jul 2016 19:02:34
Zachwolf are you 100% certain of this?

18 Jul 2016 19:20:34
sorry I meant J P are you 100% certain of this?

18 Jul 2016 21:54:05
I said two weeks ago that moxey had been given time to
Get a rival bid together!

He will be involved no matter what with Mrs moxey on the noodle bar!

18 Jul 2016 16:21:29
Haven't posted since 2012, when I said that Curbishley wouldn't take the job.

Just heard from a man I know very well, has a very"responsible" job at the club, that the Robin Li rumour is total nonsense.
There is takeover talks but not with Chinese people.

UTW.

18 Jul 2016 16:44:34
Wow you don't say lol tell us something we don't know.

18 Jul 2016 16:48:25
So why hasn't Li or his representatives denied it?

#rubbish.

18 Jul 2016 16:48:44
Then surely with E&S naming Robin Li and putting his photo up, Wolves would have felt obliged to at least tell E&S that it wasn't him, out of simple professionalism because they'd have to assume he wouldn't appreciate the unwarranted attention - especially considering he's apparently involved in trying to buy AC Milan and rumours here could exacerbate tension there.

Letting that rumour run if it's false, even prominent in their local paper, would make Wolves look incredibly unprofessional to ordinary people, the football World, and people like Robin Li, surely?

And it also voids most of the rumours from the Continent because they came from the Spanish guy who said it was Robin Li.

18 Jul 2016 16:51:44
Who is taking us over then?

18 Jul 2016 17:05:54
4hrroundtrip, Yo ay half talking a load of BOLLOCKS!

18 Jul 2016 17:08:15
4hrroundtrip,
No wonder yo ay posted on here since 2012 lol.

18 Jul 2016 17:15:19
The so called in the know people know one thing and that is "nothing"
No-one but those very high up in the club and those who are possibly buying the club know what's going on, I said it before and i'll say it again keep your feet on the ground.

18 Jul 2016 17:18:35
I think workers within the club are being fed none sense to put people off the sent of any news actually coming out. I've said time and time again when we announced signings in the past the first time they have come out is around 12 hours before confirmation.

18 Jul 2016 17:18:57
Dantheman15,
we've had everybody from ding lei to fatman and robin mentioned in the takeover the only ones they ain't mentioned is ****ing
Steptoe and Son.

18 Jul 2016 17:28:20
We know Jorge Mendes is involved so perhaps it's him runnin a consortium? perhaps it's him and his company Gestifute? Perhaps the Chinese aren't involved and Robin Li's name is bein put about to put people off the scent?

18 Jul 2016 17:28:33
I've heard it all Karlis.

18 Jul 2016 17:52:22
Paul Tamworth you might very well be onto something there it might be a bit of a long shot as they say but who knows.

18 Jul 2016 17:59:54
Wilfred Bramble is the alleged money man behind the takeover, he has a man named Corbett lined up to be his manager.

18 Jul 2016 18:59:18
jimmyjones the other rumour being bandied about is that
it's Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble lol.

18 Jul 2016 20:15:33
They've certainly been spotted talking to banks lately, but could it be a Top cat consortium?

18 Jul 2016 21:53:08
Hahaha.

18 Jul 2016 22:06:04
lol I like it!

18 jul 2016 13:13:54
got a link here for everyone from what looks like Portuguese source stating lopetegui wants pele, and helder costa at wolves when takeover completes. the article is dated 18/7/16 - today!

goo.gl/CGkQJB

18 Jul 2016 13:19:36
If someone could translate that would help tho.

18 Jul 2016 13:33:05
Here you go, translated for you.

Helder Costa and Pele, Benfica players who at the time spend lined up in Monaco and Paços de Ferreira, respectively, assigned by the incarnate are, according to A Bola, in the sights of Wolverhampton, English club is preparing a new project to be led by Julen Lopetegui, former coach of FC Porto.

Everything is dependent on the completion of the acquisition of the Championship club process, second tier of English football, by the Chinese billionaire Robin Lin, a project that has the support of the Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes.

Other familiar names in Portuguese football, as Ivan Cavaleiro ( Monaco ) , may move to Wolverhampton if the transaction is formalized.

18 Jul 2016 13:33:27
Just transfer gossip.

18 Jul 2016 13:41:15
Wlvs is right, I've done a translation on a website. I have been told the takeover is happening just not a name of who it is, people will believe what they want but it's not far away apparently so we just need to wait.

I have read this board for a long time but not commented for a long time but now I thought it was time there is a lot of false rumours but that's what happens on these sorts of sites but we are very close to it being finalised. I've been told by two different people who have told me other things that came off also the fact they know our new keeper is staying with his mate Darren Carter ex birmingham player which I know to be true also.

18 Jul 2016 14:22:39
Chris Waddle.

18 Jul 2016 15:00:26
Scorching!

18 Jul 2016 15:09:57
Think some truth behind this as I heard all these names mentioned same day story was leaked in Spain all were like now linked to new manager be intresting if happens.

18 Jul 2016 15:30:09
If you want to translate a page, with your mouse cursor hovering over page, just click right mouse button, it brings up a mini-menu with translate page as an option, just left click that in the mini-menu.

Re the take-over, it's good they have linked Robin Li again. It's like pin balling between a definitely ace or $$$$ future. Robin Li would be ace, Mendes would be ace, some other potential buyers would be the exact opposite and would imo be awful.

If I had confidence about who the potential buyer is, I could forget about it and let it run it's course, but while we don't know the buyer, I'm desperate for info as it has such a big bearing on whether we should want this to happen or not.

18 Jul 2016 15:36:00
Who's A Bola?

Is he related to E Bola?

18 Jul 2016 15:47:30
surely players linked won't keep waiting - what's your take Ed001 you heard anything from your contacts mate?

{Ed001's Note - all I know is that I would be worried about Mendes' involvement, nice guy but he is not going to be there to help Wolves. It was his involvement with Valencia that has seen them struggle so badly. He just wants a shop window for his players to play in, then sold on to make money.}

18 Jul 2016 15:55:24
Dad's Army Corporal Jones Don't Panic

18 Jul 2016 16:04:47
AC Milan still owned by finnivest group so obviously that tells you that the sale of AC Milan has NOT been completed yet.

18 Jul 2016 16:13:39
Now we just need Private Fraser telling us we're all doomed.

So Mendes might be a shark? Or I can try and pretend maybe he wants to make Wolves great again and as a top agent has best chance of achieving it :-) Morgan did promise he'd ensure a buyer that had Wolves best interests at heart, I just hope it's not the same heart he had transplanted in and is now being offered as part of the deal.

If Mendes is thinking of 'using' Wolves to our detriment, I think he'll have a harder time off fans than he's expecting. I saw a bit of Judge Rinder before, and unusually they had a Black Country couple on.

No arguing or sign of being willing to compromise and be reasonable like you see in people from other areas. Straight forward - he'd cheated so she'd destroyed all his personal possessions. Judge Rinder tried to explain how this was wrong and she was liable for all the damage, but no, the girl was adamant, he deserved to have all his stuff destroyed and that was proper justice, the law was wrong :-) I hope Mendes doesn't assume he can soft soap us.

18 Jul 2016 16:21:24
Just remember Balague has never said anything different - he fully expects it to go through, so why are people still doubting?

18 Jul 2016 16:25:39
Ulf, you make some long winded and seemingly intelligent posts.

Why on earth are you indoors watching garbage like Judge Rinder?

18 Jul 2016 17:28:44
ty youknowsit, I'm currently looking after my late Mothers partner who has alhziemers, so can't go far and have a bit of spare time to fret and think about Wolves.

And today he was watching Judge Rinder, heard the Black Country accents so got drawn in and caught a bit. I think maybe large audiences of people with alhziemhers could account for a lot of daytime TV :-)

18 Jul 2016 17:44:06
Guilleme Balague has been on holiday for over a week and judging by his last comment on Twitter he wouldn't be tweeting again until just before the season kicked off - he pretty much started the whole ball rolling, and the rumourmill has just been freewheeling downhill since his last post.

i'd take everything that I have heard since with a big ole pinch of salt!

18 Jul 2016 10:28:47
Julen Lopetegui this morning has stopped following Porto on his twitter feed

Trying to find out any scrap of evidence to prove that this takeover is going ahead but idle rumours don't do anyone any favours so best to wait for official confirmation from Wolves.

18 Jul 2016 11:34:45
Agreed. plenty of miss-information being circulated. What is clear Wolves are in a period of non-disclosure, which suggests something is happening!
I think we all hope though this is a new awakening of our great Club and out of the Darkness come a brightly burning light!

18 Jul 2016 11:40:38
juan carlos arevalo has stopped following all wolves posters.

18 Jul 2016 11:54:01
Another RUMOUR! No he hasn't stopped following us.

18 Jul 2016 11:54:27
Best comments I have heard Rugeleywolf2 agree 100%.

18 Jul 2016 12:18:40
MATTyG,
check his twitter account he's removed everything to do with Wolves.

18 Jul 2016 12:35:58
Sorry boys, my bad,
should've gone to specsavers!

18 Jul 2016 08:40:05
Daily Mirror today:-

Super agent Jorge Mendes – representative of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho among others – is part of the group attempting to purchase the club from building magnate Steve Morgan.

That deal to is nearing completion. However, it is understood that the widely circulated name of Robin Li – founder of internet search engine Baidu – is NOT the buyer.

Li has been linked with Wolves but sources close to the club have indicated that the country’s sixth most wealthy individual will not be following up acquiring a controlling stake in AC Milan by adding Wolves to his portfolio of sports’ businesses.

18 Jul 2016 09:00:18
That's the same story they ran the day before. Only thing they forgot to mention was that AC Milan is still owned by Finnivest Group.

18 Jul 2016 09:01:02
Funny how robin li was at the crew game then.

18 Jul 2016 09:07:14
Also, is the the same Daily Mirror who reported on 6th July that Robin Li was buying both clubs. Seems that there is so much bull flying around that no one can remember what they originally said. Let's just wait for the official statement from the club rather than trying to second guess what the papers say as it's obvious that they know nothing.

18 Jul 2016 09:07:23
Bollocks!

18 Jul 2016 09:13:04
Have any proof of Robin Li being at Crewe? Not calling you out just interested in this?

18 Jul 2016 09:13:39
How did you know robin li was at Crewe game.

18 Jul 2016 09:26:03
LMAO - Do you two really believe him that Robin Li went to Crewe!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Christ alive.

18 Jul 2016 09:29:44
He couldn't have been at the Crewe game! .

He was at mine having tea.

18 Jul 2016 09:45:02
Let's face it nobody nows what's going on, they the club have made a very good job of hushing it up, what I would say though if there was nobody interested in taking over Moxey would of told you by now that there was nobody interested, but to keep quiet like this tells you its only a matter of time before we are told something one way or the other these things take time.
Also I think a lot of these made up stories are from the baggies fans who seam more interested in we than there team.

18 Jul 2016 09:52:14
Obviously we all want Lei or Li, but actually Jorge Mendes wouldn't be bad on his own. He's worth £1 billion and has many contacts within the game.

18 Jul 2016 10:06:37
Agreed wavidsmith, if he's involved we won't end up with some pauper. ANNOUNCE IT WOLVES! I know u want to! 👍👍👍.

18 Jul 2016 10:14:02
There's that many rumours on here you don't no what to believe even a bit of information from wolves would be nice give the fans some respect and give some updates.

18 Jul 2016 10:34:20
Re wavidsmith I don't think we do all want Ding Lei, some money is not worth having.

In December Ding Lei investigated investment opportunities in Zimbawe. Some Chinese prop up effectively criminal African regimes like Mugabe's by supplying them AK47's, Ding Lei is obviously in with that type of Chinese. SJH would die a second death if Ding Lei who is happy to associate with Zimbawe and Mugabe bought Wolves, I'd be as ashamed of that owner as I am Moneyshop sponsoring, it would completely conflict with the clubs heritage and wreck the clubs image and potential for greater support.

I think it must be Robin Li though, or with him linked so much, Wolves would have at least clarified to E&S it wasn't him as I doubt he'd appreciate the unwarranted speculation, it would be hugely unprofessional for Wolves to have allowed Robin Li's name to be falsely dragged along with this.

18 Jul 2016 11:10:18
Ulf.
This is a rumour site, not the guardian. And I'm a guardian reader.
I don't think that Moxey or Morgan care who they sell to, as long as they get plenty of buck for their bang. They don't care for heritage, or tradition, it's business, it's money, and that's it.

18 Jul 2016 12:22:24
You don't think SJH would have an issue with a Chinese owner who was happy to associate himself with Mugabe? I think Morgan has a real responsibility in this sale associated with his own legacy, he's already said he's willing to sell to a foreigner and that is already in conflict with SJH's legacy who did him a favour selling to him for only £10, because it was on trust. Fair enough, modern World, foreign owner, but Morgan still has a responsibility to make sure it's a decent foreigner (ie one not happy to invest in and support murderous and criminal regimes like Mugabe's) , if he doesn't he'll have properly betrayed SJH's trust, ripped him off and his legacy will be permanently wrecked.

Though if it's Mendes and a group of Europeans instead of Robin Li that would be fine :-) Just not Ding Lei, unless Ding Lei is willing to stand up and denounce Zimbawe, trash his links to it.

Ulf.
Seriously, do you really think Morgan cares? His legacy at WWFC was shot the moment he threw his toys out of the pram at Preston, he's been vilified ever since, along with Moxey ( who is just a scapegoat) , we all long for the days of exciting football, McCalliog, to Waggy, cross, Dougan knock down. Richards scores in front of the North Bank, but money talks, and we NEED money to achieve our aspirations . I want to go into Europe with the Wolves, I was 11 when we played in the EUFA cup final, ( and hated Martin Chivers, and Spurs ever since) , and have seen other teams draw level and go past us. Bournemouth, Norwich, Southampton . All fine and decent clubs, but even their most die hard fan would surely concede we're a bigger club. We ARE a sleeping giant, and the sooner Morgan relinquishes his hold over the club the better.

Can I just say, Sir Jack could have sold Wolves in his day to exactly the same people, but refused to. I believe Morgan has just gone back to Sir Jack's old overseas contacts and put it to them again. It is only thanks to Sir Jack's legacy that we are linked to all of these Chinese owners, Morgan himself has done very little with the sale of the club. I would even say Moxey is probably of more use/ importance in this whole takeover saga because, despite what is written about him, he does actually care deaply about Wolves.

Wolves is Moxey's life (yes, and pay packet hehe)

FFS, I want to go on record here and state, I was at the Crewe friendly, I wish I hadn't been but there you go, I was. Also, I wish to clarify here and now, that is not me walking behind KJ at his post match interview. I do however believe that was Ding Lei's son Bruce.

But I was there, and I can tell you, on my housing benefits and child support I am not in a position, repeat not, buying Wolves.

Ulf, please step down off your soap box. Morals where money of this size are concerned play a very small if in deed any part in this or any other sale. Do you think France had any morals when selling exorset misiles to Argentina during the Falklands conflict.

+1 Spanish wolf

No one seems to care about the arms the united states pumped into the middle east for ISIL/ ISIS either.
