Wolves to sign Clayton Donaldson for£500,000 next week.

With Donaldson and Wes Thomas (from AFCB) in their sights, Wolves look like a force to reckoned with.

Christophe Berra has been offered a contract by Ipswich Town FC.

I bet his wages will have gone down dramatically!
i thought & he thought he was premier league!

I don't give two hoots about Berra. But 2 points though: (1) he ain't Wolves and (2) he's rubbish

As a programme seller?

Morning All.

I can tie up one or two loose ends that might interest people. I am friends with a Molineux employee who admits that they know nothing solid as employees but these are the rumours currently going around in Molineux.

1. The rumours of contracts being paid up is only true as regards Johnson and O'Hara. This is why both of them are being quiet and keeping there mouths shut at the moment, they have been told any outbursts and they will be left to rot in the reserves.

2. Henry is closing in on a move with 3 clubs vying for his services they are believed to be QPR, Hudderfield and Derby. Fee in the region of £500. 000.

3. KJ is a little concerned about left back and is warming to the idea of reintroducing Stephen Ward to the first team squad, although he would remain transfer listed.

4. Doyle as we all know has his heart set on a move to Celtic. Wolves though rate him in the £2m bracket and this is a major stumbling block. Expect Doyle to still be here at the start of the season and possibly until January. Although rumours do suggest that Celtic might try to take him on a seasons loan if a fee cannot be agreed, but Wolves are not particularly interested in this.

5. Griffiths WILL start the season as Wolves new number 9. his partner will be Siggy or possibly a new signing.

6. Wolves came close to signing Kevin Davies as Player Coach, but he didn't want to up root his family and that is why he opted for Preston. This is also the reason that the Kevin Phillips link suddenly went cold. Expect more rumours with this link in the near future. Phillips is said to be very open and keen on a move to Molineux.

7. No one insde Molineux has any knowledge of the link with Craig Davies.

8. KJ is looking at his former club. The wide player whos name eludes me at the moment (the one that nobled Peszko at Molineux) is high on his wanted list to replace Sako.

9. Finally there IS money available to spend. But it could well be the final weeks of the transfer window before we see much movement KJ believes that the squad is strong enough to give us a solid start and then strengthen after a few competitive games if we appear week in certain areas.

Finally - don't shoot the messenger, had a long chat over a beer with my mate last night and this is what he has told me is going around the walls of Molineux.

If it was left up to me this is how I would start the season with what we currently have, and I don't think it will be too far away, in the case of 2 names appearing the first player may leave and the second one would take his place.

1. Hennessey
2. Doherty
3. Elokobi
4. Davis
5. Batth
6. Ricketts
7. Price
8. Edwards
9. Griffiths
10. Doyle/Cassidy
11. Siggurdarson

Pretty much picks itself really. Oh well, its all food for thought and we will all know in 16 days. Up the Wolves and let's get behind the lads as we enter this new era for our club. Onwards and upwards.

Scoopy Wolf.

Good post Scoopy I have to say all this sounds plausable and I have to agree with the starting lineup

Celtic do have the funds to buy Doyle, the received 12 million pounds for Victor Wanyama. The QPR link with Henry is now dead in the water. Kevin Phillips lives near Cannock so he is hardly uprooting his family considering his son plays for the youth team. The Craig Davies link came from a reporter based in Bolton.

All sounds good apart from wards going to Ipswich pzecko was nobbled by Williams of palace (highly rated) and lee Evans will be a starter with siggy partnering griffiths and Sako on the left.

He never said Kevin Phillips was uprooting his family he said Kevin Davies was!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Stearman starting alongside Batth.

Good post by this person above but I actually work for Wolves and am always suspicious when people quote their mate that works here however, even though I don't know the ins and outs of the football side of things I would probably agree with most of what is said but also wanted to add if this is the starting line-up then I personally think it should be strong enough to get promoted this year. I have been here for a number of years and have never been looking forward to a season starting as much as this one. I for one am delighted with Kenny and wish him all the luck with us and hopefully he will become a legend manager here at Molineux.

There is NO WAY Jonny Williams will come to Wolves. The Palace fans love him, he is a local lad there and loves the club and plays regularly.

He will be an impact sub for Palace in the Prem, great creativity and engine.

He didn't say Williams was coming he said he was the one that tackled Peszko

Yes he did, and I quote "is high on his wanted list to replace Sako. "

how can that not mean he wants to sign him?

The forth post down does not mention that once!

Oh I see what's happened I thought you meant the forth comment Down you mean the first one my bad sorry
