There is always red tape in big business deals such as buying a football club for example, plus no one knows when the deal was meant to be completed by, so we wouldn't know if it's dragging on or not.

The E&S stand to lose face if they don't at least get in on the action. They've already been beaten to a massive story about their home town club half a mile from their front door, by a journalist thousands of miles away in Spain. They've then apparently been shown up by some itk posters which appear to have some credibilty. Think about it. They've got to come out with something. There's an apparent delay. room for a theory.

I think Tim is thinking, obviously there's red tape in the deal, but they have best paid most informed lawyers on this (deal is worth ten's of ÂŁmillions) , who are paid to foresee red tape, sort it and accommodate doing that in the planned time frame (that they advise over timing) . They are meant to be slick. So for red tape to have reared up and delayed things, it's not standard red tape and is therefore obviously suspect.
I'd bet as others have suggested, it's due to Brexit and it may mean Robin Li has to get a UK Visa (rather than EU one he may have) , especially if his investment plan is as you'd expect SMorgan would have negotiated, ongoing (so more than a couple of years, so past point Britain has actually materially left EU) .
And issuing UK Visa's (especially on basis of existing EU Visa) is maybe getting dealt with by a Govt Department that has been shocked, confused, and overrun due to Brexit, with little leadership due to PM election etc.
Maybe it's even worse due to Brexit than we imagine and the chaos has spread, maybe they've had riots in London and society is collapsing? Has anyone seen Moxey since the photo of him going to London? Perhaps the Capital has descended into chaos, he never made it back and the media have been issued a Govt NDA to pretend to everyone North of the Watford Gap it's not happening.

Other than those rumours, mostly all we've had is silence from the club indicating a take over is somewhere in the process of trying to happen. How does it not being Robin Li fit into that? If Guillem Balagué is to be believed, then all the papers have been submitted to the fa. This should mean all negotiations had been done unless someone has moved the goal posts. As much as I dislike Morgan, I can't see that being the case. Not sure how long the fit and proper test takes but it seemed pretty quick on the villa takeover. Just don't know why Wolves insist on the non disclosure, any small amount of information would make things a lot easier for the fans. Yes its still on or no there's been a breakdown would do! The fact nothing has been mentioned on the latter, makes me believe (hope) something positive will be announced next week.

It was at least 3 weeks for the villa deal to be confirmed after it was announced.
If it was announced when papers were submitted to FA then we are ok and maybe the Wolves takeover will be announced back end of next week if we are on same time scale?
