Regarding Vialli,we think the odds have been slashed because quite simply he has applied and has/or will get an interview as is standard for any job vacancy,no more no less. I hope that helps a bit. cheers ED 003

Interestingly, Sky are the only bookie offering these odds. 365, Hills, Ladbrokes and others I have checked dont have him listed

He works for Sky Italia by "sheer coincidence".

Curbishley rejects Wolves!

Breaking news

"After long consideration and despite the attractiveness of Wolves the club and the package on offer, I must decline and move on. I thank Steve Morgan for his time and courtesy but this isnt the right move for my family or for me. I wish Wolves all the best - they are a massive club"

Doesn't say who is next but Bruce wants the job!

Source?

Where has this come from can't find it anywhere on the net

Yes good one - albion fan i guess!!!

Where does it say this??

Does not supise me morgan could not sell the club

So where did you get this from? everything i've heard states that he will be appointed tomo. the reason you state does seam weird, as he put himself forward for the role so couldnt really say its not the right move, unless that not the reason he would decline of course.

And you know this because ??

We need the club to put a comment out now

Dutch press are saying Steve Maclaren has registered his interest in the Wolves job and that his club will let him talk to Wolves.

However, the same paper says that Wolves have not yet responded to Maclaren.

Holy moly..... nooooooo !!

Maclaren is a very good manager. Not really his fault he landed at Forest into a club going into decline.

He would have been a success at Villa but their idiotic fans screwed that up.

I am sure he would prefer to stay overseas, than return to a job where the fans will condemn out of pure ignorance from the start.

Maclaren would be an excellent manager for us.

Deluded or what have to be a baggie he won't come back anyway considering he's only been with twente a few months

Could be worth a shout as 1st team coach, build his rep back up in this country.

Cheeky bid for Woy - his contracts up in 4 mths

16 Feb 2012 12:33:15
Peter Reid will be manager with his assistant being Alex Rae and Karl Robinson.

Steve Bull will be given a coaching roll also and Don Goodman

LMFAO! so untrue. why bother posting idiotic suggestions. nothing from what you have said will happen. Curbs will be in place by tomorrow, no doubt! he already has a meeting with SM at 3pm today

Wolves – Moxey has provisionally decided against Bruce and Warnock's interest has switched to the jobs at Leeds and Huddersfield.

One of the reasons for Warnock's change of emphasis may stem from the media reporting:

"Morgan favours a short-term big bonus deal which could be reviewed at the end of the season when Wolves' fate will be known.

Gordon Strachan has joined Curbishley as the top contenders but Moxey is reportedly considering the appointment of Peter Reid, having been impressed with Reid's motivation and management of cash-strapped Plymouth.

Reid will only be offered the job until the end of the season, when Moxey is keen to look at a Director of Football style appointment, overseeing a talented coach, such as Paul Tisdale

I'll have a pint of whatever this guys drinking

Yeah - I read about Mox wanting a short term solution.

Also read about Reid being considered.

Dont think it will happen

Has to be Curbs

LEAKED: Alan Curbishely has an appointment with the Wolves board on Thursday at 3pm in the Compton Training Ground which will see Curbishley leaving from London to catch the train to Wolverhampton at approximately mid-day. I can also confirm to you that he is the stand out candidate for the job and Morgan is very keen to thrash out a deal with him whether it be short term or long term on the same day if possible.

One of the apparent deciding factors for Curbishley's interest in taking up the Wolves managerial post is how financially astute the club currently are and felt that he could take the club forward on a long-term basis if given the chance to.

The other candidates for the job are purely being thought as back ups should this deal fall through and aren't currently being strongly considered until after tomorrow's interview with Alan Curbishley.

Many of you may remember me as the man who brought you the news of the emerging tensions back in January after the Aston Villa game between Morgan and McCarthy and now it has been confirmed maybe you will have more trust in my reliability. 'FWF'.

We are told club is well run not oweing money this is not a manager that has won things

There's an article on Sky Sports website containing an interview with Curb's agent, saying an interview is 'imminent'. That was of 9pm yesterday (15th) so I can believe he's going to be our man.

From the interview: "He wasn't going to come back to something that didn't whet his appetite."

"He doesn't need to go back, but there does come a time when you want to go back, and Wolves is a big, traditional football club going places."

Going places we need class in the team for that mr morgan

Are the board going to interview anyone other than Curbishley,or is Morgan pinning all his hopes on one name without weighing up other options ?

I have no idea what has happened in the meeting today, it has been kept completely disclosed and I believe Morgan will be weighing up a short term contract offer for Curbishley with a large bonus if the club are kept up after the end of the season. But, it all depends on what happened at the meeting today so IF both parties have agreed I'm quite sure contract talks will be beginning tomorrow and knowing Steve like I do he will look to have it all sorted by the end of tomorrow and for the press conference to be held on the Saturday morning.

To the above, I'm 100% sure that Morgan has focused all his efforts on signing Curbishley and like I mentioned above, Bruce and Warnock will only be considered as alternatives should this deal fall through as the worst case possible scenario.
