Don't know how people can slag off ward? Name me another player who can play as many positions as ward.. He come to us as a forward.. And has played LB, LW, RW, ST, CM, Attacking Forward..seriously can u see fletcher or Doyle playing that many positions. When he first got put left back he was s***eee.. But let's be honest I'd rather have him than elokobi, even though elokobi was great for us in the championship, when we was in the prem he didn't look comftable on the ball nd any wolves fan can admit that. Stephen Ward gives everything for the shirt and both domestically and internationally managers clearly see something in him. Yes he has defensive faults but as a left winger he would do well for us in the championship.

It seems to have been in fashion for some time to have a go at him in the same way as it was to have a go at McCarthy. To all those that persist with this - over 30 million for Jarvis, Ward, Fletcher and Kightly is not a bad return on under 9 million outlay. If Solbakken improves players to that level I'll be very happy!

Can't u read either I sed ward wasn't good before but tbh think hes proved to be a good signing in the end, even if we sell now we've made money on him. But if we keep him the better, would be good to have his quality in the championship... Football is opinionated sport. So it's my opinion, I'd rather support players who have stopped.. Ward only plays because we have no real viable alternative. The clubs that have supposedly been interested have very good managers at the helm but it's funny how they are also some of mccathy's best mates in the game. Ward is decent on the ball and is one of the best players in training but where do you play him because true he can play lots of positions he is just poor in every one of them.

He needs to be repalced and Elekobi is even worse as he cant pass or defend (ward better going forward) If we got any money for him i'd be pleased but �3M - I'd have O'Neil sectioned at that price - at �300K i'd have him in therapy.

Apparently Everton have joined in on the race for Jarvis.Apparently they have bid the complete ten million pounds asking price.

Everton don't have a tenner to spend let alone �10m. {Ed011's Note - They just sold Rodwell for �15m

That 15 mill is to pay off some of the 30/40mill of debt {Ed001's Note - the issue is not their debt as such, it is in the club's mortgaging of future season ticket sales. That massively affects the income they can expect to receive each year and has hamstrung them. 30/40m would be able to be paid back, if they had that extra income stream, without it, it becomes a huge millstone of debt.}

Ed, that Rodwell money will be put towards paying off some of their debt. Hardly any of it will be put towards transfers. �2-3m of it, maximum.

According to the Birmingham Evening Mail Stephen Warnock is surplus to requirements at Villa Park! I don't know what you guys think but I think he'd be ideal for the Wolves at left back at the moment! Loves a tackle, comfortable on the ball and is good going forward! Are we that broke moxey cant/wont pay for a player with better terms we obvious need & risk losing.. usual tight wad!

I understand the need for bargaining and that one starts from a low base, expecting to have to go higher during the course of negotiations. However, if Geromel is as good as he seems to be, offering a derisory sum is counter-productive. It prolongs the process, increasing the risk that other clubs, especially ones with a higher status, will come in with a better offer. It's not as though we have time to prevaricate either, given that the new season starts on Saturday.

Bearing in mind how very secretive Wolves always are in their transfer dealings, how on earth do you know what (if anything) we've offered Cologne? This is clearly just another attempt to bad mouth Moxey for whatever reasons of personal vendetta you obviously have. Are you Albion in disguise?

If Moxey is so good at negotiating how come he sold Malone in Jan for �150k and after only 4 months he has now been sold on for �650k.Moxey got �5m plus a few add ons for Lescott,two years on Everton sold him for �20m.He also sold Elliot Bennett and Mark Davies on the cheap.Bennett's value increased tenfold in a couple of years and Mark Davies is currently valued at �8m,we sold him for a max of �2m{because Moxey let his contract run down like Kightly].Moxey has wasted football opportunities at Wolves time and time again.Nothing wrong in identifying where the problem is,what is needed is a solution to the problem.

Moxey may be a slimeball but if he is good at anything it is getting the best deal for the club. In or out.

Pedro Geromel, watch him on you tube and not sure if anyone else as notice but, if we sign him, he looks like he plays on the right side of the central pairing which was occupied by Roger on Saturday. Interesting to see if he replaces Roger or Pedro will play left.

It doent matter if there both right sided. Pique and pedro are both left footed. The same as when thiago silva was at milan, him and mexes

SteveBullStand- SSN have reported that "Wolves hope to sign Geromel". He would not be signed in time for Leeds but should be signed for the Barnsley game. Us , Sevilla and Celta Vigo are Favourites but both Spainish clubs are struggling Fiancially make Wolves the biggest favourites for his signature. He could possibly be made captain as Solbakken has stated that the captain could be a new signing.

Geromel is going to join wolves and become captain, stale stated that a captain will be decided on incoming and out going transfers so i have come to believe berra is off and hes in, so lets hope for the best !

Please someone tell Stale that it didn' work last year bringing in a new player and making him captain, sign him but give him time ro settle. karl Henry captained us to promotion before, at least let him lead us into the season.
