Gamboa is player linked with summer move to wolverhampton wanderers.

12 May 2017 21:50:27
Should of got redknapp.

12 May 2017 21:59:59
You've got to be having a laugh! He hates it north of his beloved Sandbanks. He will be slumming it in the Midlands for as short as possible to get a last payday!

12 May 2017 21:18:46
Looking to buy Joe Hart, Geotge Friend, Jordan Hugill and Jason Steele. And Lambert is going to Norwich City.

13 May 2017 10:03:44
Haha yeah right.

12 May 2017 21:13:05
Aitor Karanka; would much prefer him to bloody PL. If this happens I'll be happy. He's also got good links with Mourinho and Real Madrid and more pulling power for English players ide say than PL. let's do it now. so we can start the season knowing who's in.

12 May 2017 21:25:07
Mendes is his agent.

12 May 2017 21:32:09
Yeah I seen that. Which makes it even more believable.

13 May 2017 00:17:06
Lambert has links with Jurgen Klopp, Borussia Dortmund and Celtic. Links don't mean anything.

{Ed007's Note - And Motherwell and St Mirren.}

12 May 2017 19:22:01
Lambert gone (allegedly) announcement to be made tonight or tomorrow.

12 May 2017 19:41:18
Hitc reporting that thelwell said back in November that lambert was promised control of any transfers when he first took over.

12 May 2017 19:41:45
Guess who is AITOR KARANKAs agent?
Yes you guessed it.

12 May 2017 20:31:23
These comments indicating that Lambert preferred to buy Hugill at £2m rather than blow mega bucks on Abraham sound ridiculous. Why would he want to make life difficult for hi self when someone else is picking up the tab. There is more to this story than meets the eye.

12 May 2017 20:46:11
I can only think that Karanka is coming in. Foreign with Championship experience. Did a good job at Boro but by all accounts his teams play a very boring style of football. Our club is in the wrong hands though I fear.

12 May 2017 20:51:08
I won't shed a tear for Lambert but Fuson need to make a massive statement with the next guy or they will look shambolic season tickets to sell and they need to sell wolves in China.

12 May 2017 21:02:52
Old news Derby wolf.

12 May 2017 21:38:04
Boring football what you think we been watching the last 5 years.

12 May 2017 16:56:35
Paul lambert has been sacked. Set to be announced this evening. "Alleged" that paulo fonseca is being touted for the job. Personally I have no idea who he is.

12 May 2017 18:00:50
He manages Shaktar Donesk.

12 May 2017 18:11:12
lamberts a goner, karanka already lined up.

12 May 2017 18:17:53
Hang on no one has asked PT who he wants.

12 May 2017 18:31:40
Someone who can put round pegs in round holes and don't try to complicate what is an easy game. Someone who can have us fighting for promotion and not languishing in the bottom half of a mediocre league. Lambert failed miserably! Roll on the next contestant. 👍.

12 May 2017 18:42:31
A fancy foreign name always sounds good.

What about: Paulo Lamberto? Doesn't speak any English as far as I can tell.

12 May 2017 18:45:28
This Paulo Lamberto could be a great shout!

He could play Giorgio Seville at left back.

12 May 2017 19:00:51
And Diego Eduardo in midfield.

12 May 2017 19:02:44
Singapore sports news reporting that Chinese manager will be appointed.

12 May 2017 19:04:09
Apparently they are looking at Jose Conceiro, looks absolute rubbish. He's had more clubs than Tiger Woods! Disaster! How to derail a train by Fosun!

12 May 2017 19:14:22
Shame, liked Lambo personally.

12 May 2017 19:18:50
It's a beauty contest!

12 May 2017 19:20:51
I'm quite happy that lamberts going but not the way it's been handled he might have been touted by Norwich let's get it sorted quickly otherwise we lose out on transfers like we did last year I'm a fan of marco silva.

12 May 2017 19:43:49
It's Aitor Karanka.

12 May 2017 20:51:02
It all points towards silva. clever appointment by wolves in P. L get us safe etc. Fits with mendes etc. I wonder 🤔.

12 May 2017 21:02:03
Fonseca has very promising credentials and looking at his managerial stats his teams score plenty of goals and he has an 88% win ratio with Shakhtar! If we are going for an up an coming foreign manager we could do a lot worse! Has taken teams to the Champions League and won a domestic cup.

12 May 2017 21:08:16
Diego Eduardo 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

12 May 2017 21:10:09
Just heard Solbakken left Copenhagen.

12 May 2017 15:51:23
Just heard that Lambert has been sacked but it has not been announced yet. He rrived at Compton at 1 p. m. today and left a couple hours later with a couple of bags. Apparently FOSUN have three names lined up to take the job. They will employ someone with experience of English football. Rumours I've heard on Twitter so far are ranieri or Karanka. But Lambert has definitely been sacked. Also the rumours that he was interested in Abraham, Lawrence and Hanley are ALL False.

12 May 2017 16:29:45
If karanka is to replace PL the get ready for some very boring football! It all seems to fast becoming a farse! 😰👎.

12 May 2017 16:34:53
Winston. I was sceptical about those three names as well. It's like Lambert is tying to big himself up to us fans, knowing that his time is up.

12 May 2017 17:01:50
Is it just possible that given Hull's plight, together with our previous interest, they're clearing the way for Marco Silva?

12 May 2017 17:14:23
I wouldn't trust lambert with my money if I were fosun the formation he's played wasn't working but he never changed it if he goes I hope we go for Japp Stam.

12 May 2017 17:50:49
No official news anywhere yet.

12 May 2017 14:59:16
Let's all look forward to a relegation battle next season as Mendes brings in saleable assets rather than experienced players.

12 May 2017 16:15:24
Next season will be one hard long slog. Look at the teams coming down from the Prem. Three of those in the play offs will be up there again next season. Then look at others who just came up short such as Leeds, Derby, Norwich, etc will be up there also. I fully expect Forest, Villa and Birmingham to improve. Whatever the club decide to do, they have to get it done quickly and correctly. Whether we’ll be in a relegation battle I couldn’t say, but to get into the top 6 will be an tough.

12 May 2017 18:17:09
Jas behave thay have not been here 12 months yet.

12 May 2017 13:44:03
The main problem we're looking at, is a possible repeat of nearly a year ago.
A massive influx of players from the Mendes stable. Who either can't play together, or aren't good enough for the championship.
Then the club appoints a head coach, again a Mendes boy, with no experience of this league or this country.

12 May 2017 14:56:38
Not saying I agree with what's happening as still undecided about Mendes, Lambert and Fosun. But I don't think we can judge Mendes' ability to provide us with good quality signings based on what was a rushed job last summer.

He just had to get volume in last year. Think would be an improved offering this summer with time to choose quality and not just quantity.

Whatever happens, it will be an interesting summer again!

12 May 2017 15:05:19
Thing is people need to stop comparing what's going on now to last summer.

Facts from last summer
Takeover delayed, delay caused us to lose the manager theyd got prepared to take over in Lopetegui to the spain job, delay also most likely caused us to lose out on targets fosun had earmarked. We had 34 days before the close of the transfer window and a threadbare squad. People talk about Mendes's influence etc but without his influence last summer we would have been in a far worse situation in terms of having a squad with even less quality and a lot less players. We panicked because of how little time we had to work with. Saying Fosun haven't learned because of what's going on now would be naive. The championship hasn't even concluded for this season yet still the play-offs to play. Transfer window doesn't open till july and pre season is nowhere near upon us, i'd say if they have doubts on Lambert now is the perfect time to get rid with plenty of time to get the right man at the helm for the start of the window and pre season.

Also people say about managers with no experience of this league? Zerngas problem wasn't this leagues experience it was his managerial pedigree full stop. Talk about experience, look at the top 6 apart from Hughton at Brighton not much championship experience there!

Before this season

Rafa- None
Stam- None
Carvalho- less then a full season at sheffield
Wagner- Few months back end of the prior season
Jokanovic- 1 season with Watford (which he got promoted)

Exeperience isn't always neccesary if the managers good enough.

12 May 2017 15:40:52
How has it come to this?
Whatever is going on, it has been handled badly.
The darkness is closing in on us again.

12 May 2017 17:03:02
Sbrek.
Well said.
Anyone worried about next season should stop worrying.

12 May 2017 17:28:23
Sbrek, yes, let's look at his influence last year.
He brought in, or advised on bringing in, 13 players.
Of the thirteen, Eleven were pretty much rubbish.

Think about it. That's an ENTIRE TEAM of players who were no good.

12 May 2017 18:19:26
Sbrek has it spot on, I don't think the players brought in last summer were as bad as people make out. A lot of them were just threw into the championship and hadn't got a pre season together.
Costa - Brilliant
Cavaliero - When fit, very good and could be as good as Costa
Saiss - shows promise. Should be better next season
Oniangue - looked decent, better than Saville and Evans, could be a good championship player
Bodvarrsson - not had the luck, can't fault effort, probably not quite good enough
Stearman - not a bad back up
Borthwick Jackson - looked very good for united, bad attitude at wolves, don't think you can judge that before signing him.

12 May 2017 18:19:43
Lowwolf, I'm interested to know who your 13 players your referring to are? As not all were Mendes influenced or advised?

Mendes players advised in:
Costa
Cavaliero
Texieria
Borthwick-jackson
Silvio
Ola John

Thelwell and other scouting resource influenced
Saiss
Bodvarsson
Lonergan
Prince
Gladon
Stearman

Not all of our signings were Mendes influenced and in fact the majority of the players he had an influence in were loan deals?

12 May 2017 18:41:35
Loan or signing, the majority were very poor.

12 May 2017 18:45:11
SO, you're more than happy to let an agent fill our club with HIS players? Irrespective of whether the head coach wants them? Even if they don't fit into his plans or tactics.

12 May 2017 19:16:11
Lowwolf I think your missing the point of what my actual paragraph was about, it was purely we shouldn't panic at getting rid of Lambert and that although how bad this season was things could have been a hell of a lot worse then how it ended up giving the proceedings of how things happened last summer with how late the takeover was! I was also just stating that as much as people don't want to look at the facts without Mendes's input last season we would pretty much have been surefire candidates for league one in the 17/ 18 season. The two who I'm assuming out of last seasons signings you class as non being rubbish cavaliero and costa were both Mendes players and were petty much our saving grace. Also as StuCorbett has rightly pointed out our signings weren't as bad as they're being made out. Players like Saville and batth etc who were problems in our season last season were very much already part of the club. As regards your question about Mendes I think we would be silly not to utilise his contacts and power in the game but also I would like to point out he hasn't filled out clubs by all means! Out of the 6 players he influenced in bringing to the club only 2 will actually be contracted to the club come next season due to the others being loans or Silvios case a years contact, incidentally the 2 players left will be the only 2 players you class as being good enough for our team?
