Wolves to announce the signing of Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace at 11am this morning. Season long loan with a view to a permanent £4m deal if we are promoted next season.

Hope your right

This will be as well as the signing of Joe Mason. KJ Is very keen to have 4 strikers to rotate next season. This will also cover the possible loss of Dicko. He is said to have had his head turned by the interest from Everton, but Wolves will not let him go cheaply even though he only has a year on his contract. Rumours suggest that Wolves won't stand in his way of a move to the Premier, but that they will also offer him an extended deal to keep him. The figure involved to get Wolves interested in selling him, I have heard is somewhere in the region of £1.75 - £2m even though he only has 12 months left. But I have also heard that we are interested in a swop deal. But I have not been able to find out the name of the Everton player we are keen on.

Would be a great couple of signings but don't understand why Silverbug would announce it and not us. More likely the new away kit released. If Dicko goes to Everton would try and get Leon Osman in return. Colin Doyle gone to Blackpool so he can't be that great but would try for their keeper Joe Lewis now. Also the liability that is Mulumbu going to Norwich thank god as really didn't want him, would miss loads through bans.

The announcement is the light blue away shirt, no signings, if there were signings then Wolves would announce it, not silverbug, Wolves won't be making any new signings for at least two weeks.

Its past 11am, no announcement, someone been on the juice early!

Tbh I've read something from about 2 days go saying we're on the verge of signing dwight gayle but report in the E&S and Cardiff news paper wolves are set to make a second bid for joe mason a lot higher than what the last one which was around 1.5 so it wouldn't surprise me if wolves bid about 2.5m for him in the second bid as kj is a big fan of joe mason and I think kj wants 2 strikers to come in to add to dicko and afobe because even if one gets injuried And we only have 3 signed it's going to leave us a bit short of strikers with Liam Mcalinden coming in unproven at this level that's why I think we're trying to sign both gayle and mason so we have more than just 2 options to use on the pitch

12 Jun 2015 13:18:47
Really can't see why Mason is worth our interest.

If he was any good surely Cardiff wouldn't have loaned him out 3 times.

Please can someone tell me different?

Gayle is hands down the better choice surely.

I would have liked Mulumbu.

Also Ameobi rumour gone quiet.

Kenny rates him dot I'm afraid

12 Jun 2015 13:49:31
I'll tell you otherwise.

Sicko loaned out to Blackpool, wolves then Rotherham??

But he's been cap for us!

12 Jun 2015 13:56:01
Sicko went on loan to Blackpool, us then Rotherham.

Afobe been out on loan loads of times so you have to look at how a player not only has talent but fits into how the team plays etc.

Kj hasn't done to badly in transfer market so just get behind any signings we make. To many negative wolves fans around these days.

Come on you Wolves!

12 Jun 2015 14:34:40
Agree about too many negative Wolves fans around, barring Leon Clarke KJ has done pretty well with transfers, though the jury still out on Saville and Rowe. I rate Mason from what i've seen and Cardiff have been pretty shocking last couple of years so maybe the managers there have not got a clue, so just get behind any signings we make whether you agree with them or not. Also why all the talk about replacing Sako when we have already signed Jed Wallace. Love the new away kit will get mine asap.

12 Jun 2015 14:38:57
Well boukari has been declared fit a ready to go In pre-season and in the games because as you know he's been training all summer as is tommy Rowe now with boukari been declared FIT I think this may stop any winger coming in over the next month and half because I think kj will give boukari the games In France(if we end up with some) and against burton& Shrewsbury to impress before he decides to sign someone now I think he's going to be like a new signing plus he's quick he's skill full and should score goals at this level and also when we signed him he was rated a lot more highly than sako so hopefully razak will do well

12 Jun 2015 15:11:28
We don't need a lot of new incoming players just add a couple of quality players and I would say we have a pretty good squad.

Rowe and razik will both be like new signings. Graham in the reserves at the moment will certainly get a few games looks like we have stolen a really good player there.

Just all keep in mind that our point total from this year would of been enough to get play offs in most past seasons. We didn't have a afobe at start either.

I really like what not just KJ is doing but the whole club as a whole.

12 Jun 2015 15:33:14
According to a poll in the local Cardiff paper, fans have voted 80% not to sell him - so I did vote in favour of selling him!
Kenny has a better than 50% success rate in picking "good uns" so I'd trust his judgement. (Having to up an offer always gives grounds for reconsidering how much you think a player is worth.

12 Jun 2015 16:50:52
Well be truthful did u expect us to pay 2m for afobe because I didn't mason is like him a bit with so many loans so hopefully it will come off like afobe

12 Jun 2015 17:54:48
Dwight Gayle is a top Wolves target as competition/replacement for Nouha Dicko, followed in the pecking order by Callum Harriott as a backup Striker/Left Winger.

Wolves still have big offers in for both Sammy Ameobi and Youssouf Mulumbu but facing massive competition.
