I wander what sir jack would think of selling the wolves to Morgan who then sells to China. He would be so sad and feel betrayed. The deal must be done and I just think through the excitement that we should think of sir jack and I has that moxeys first job is to get sir jacks statue in place.
Wolves fans should all remember the journey and yes the pleasure we are about to witness needs to have a moment for him and his family.

I personally think that Morgan has sold the club to someone who can and will take us to the next level without running up a large debt which will stop any future investors if they decided to sell. If Man City or Chelsea owners decided to sell, there would be little interest due to the massive debt they have. I think Morgan has sought assurances that this won't happen to us much like Sir Jack did.

Re Eogg, I get what you mean, but it's a bigger World than that now and people like SJH, his generations and previous ones made it so. They won - British values like SJ's are at the forefront of the best of the modern World, and people like Robin Li who was educated in America and worked for big American Companies, who are innovating and enterprising but with high standards and style, represent that.
We birthed the Industrial Revolution, with someone like Robin Li, one of the top ten IT business people in the World, it could be the next step we've been waiting so long for, the Information Technology Revolution finally arriving for us, a chance to regenerate. Along with more money in the town in general, the IT thing could give the town a modern image that could propel it and the young people forward into something really good, with real opportunities.
And our real identity and heritage, both as a football club and region, seem to perfectly fit with Robin Li's agenda, so it will be the real Wolves, SJH's Wolves who go on to whatever glory Robin Li helps us to achieve. And a lot of that success, or at least extra support, will be in China, so Robin Li will be helping us take our identity and values there, making the World even more Brit.
Regardless of how rich, there's loads of foreign owners I'd have been dubious of and disappointed with, but I think Robin Li is something really special, is best placed to help the club and town back to being something special and SJH would be very pleased.

It's not personal fantasy, I've read up on him a lot (he was even Co-Chair of a UN Commission into IT) and get reliable feelings about people. And I can see what his business objectives must be.
Plus, I know how image works, realities are irrelevant it's perception that counts, a belief / perceived image can snowball over time into a big reality. Why Moneyshop was such a disaster but Robin Li with his World leading IT reputation would be so good.
And, I was lucky enough to be mentored by Randy Lerner's super rich and successful cousin / nephew when I worked for his American bank, and know what these American business minded movers and shakers (like Li became having been educated in America and worked there) are like. I'm 100% convinced Robin Li would be an awesome owner, it makes 100% sense when I think it through and it fits perfectly with what I can feel too.

The current situation borders on disastrous. No deal for three weeks-therefore no transfer deals and the season will have started.
Even Express and Star statind deal far from complete. Saame old situation with player coming in-ie Powell-fails fitness test, but is fit enough for Wigan.

I think the Telegraph picked the 3 weeks thing up from Franksies WMRadio piece today, which he may have said just to cause a stir to get callers and listeners, without having any genuine clue. Or maybe that's what Wolves have suggested to both Franksie and Telegraph, because they want to play it down so they can make a bigger surprise splash. I still reckon announcement this week too.

Yeah, don't listen to the 3 week thing - I personally think it will be this week or next, by the very latest. The people taking over arn't stupid and won't want to start the season without it being announced. You'll also find that agent Mendes has sorted many of the new players out already behind the scenes and are ready to come in right now.

Mr Morgan has reported privately in recent weeks to have commented that there was nothing in the offing. It is of course possible that something could have developed subsequently.
The Li or Lie ( is the name a clue? ) takeover "rumour" is high speculative and therefore I suggest that all take it as such. Expectations should be managed to avoid extreme disappointment if it does not come to pass.

Totally agree with Ulf and YamYam! If the papers are with the EFL then the deal is agreed between both parties already and due diligence completed. Just the fit and proper test and if successful should be pretty much there. That's why I'm not reading too much into the telegraph/ mail stories as they are making out we are still at the due diligence stage.

The Telegraph also says that Moxey is to remain as CEO if the takeover goes ahead. Further stating that his position would have been under grave threat if the rival bidders had been successful.
Can you believe it Moxey has done it again, he is the master of self preservation.
Jackett to loose his job. Jackett is a decent dignified guy who has done well for Wolves. The first two seasons he built a good team out of nothing and they played attractive football. Last year was different. Yes he made mistakes, but he was operating under many restrictions and the injury list had a huge affect. In my view the fans should thank him and wish him well if he does go.

lol, maybe this is what those mysterious extreme sale conditions of Steve Morgans were that we kept hearing rumours about? The buyers had to say they believed and agreed with Steve Morgan when he said.
- both Moxey and Thelwell are the best in the business and should stay.
- that the clubs executive pie (or in the case of Chinese buyers) dumplings budget was sacred and couldn't be cut.
- that the Preston carpark incident really happened.
It sounds like there were 2 potential buyers, maybe the others agreed to believe Steve Morgan about almost everything, but just couldn't keep a straight face over Moxey so they got booted? Maybe it was Bill Gates?

Lincs-wolf, there is actually a much higher chance of him coming to us as Liverpool would have to pay over the 25% of top deals in the premier league so they would have to pay more than 25mil to sign him I reckon.
They would also have to offer him + 80K on Wages I reckon, so it looks like if Liverpool REALLY want him then ( considering they have the players they have) . They will get him if not, then he will have to try elsewhere and because Wolves would offer him first team football more than Liverpool it would be easier to get a work permit.

It's pretty obvious Lopetegui wants a team of Sako's, not a team of average players from the championship like Powell. Agent Mendez has a whole host of talent waiting for the new man who doesn't care one iota about FIFA fair play. I was like everybody else and presumed on £5 million pound players coming in but, considering Mendes is going to be the main man who's bringing in players for us, I'm not so sure. All of Mendes's players are of high quality and nothing below the £10 million mark. I can't comment on the Talisca rumour but it's absolutely incredible Wolves are already being linked with such quality. It gives us a glimpse of an incredible future.

I phoned the ticket line about this fact and they said its a technical issue and ST are on hold for maximum of 48 hours as some data hasn't been transferred across to the new site.
I said - "yeah ok, its because of the takeover isn't it" to which the girl just laughed.

It's fabulous that all you guys know all this stuff as fact. I'm a bit confused though, because much of it contradicts much of it. Like, the ones that go 'failed his medical' without any evidence offered. And others that go 'yeah, defo gone to some other team', though without explaining how they know it, and others that say 'i wouldn't hang around either, all this waiting', like as if a week or less is a huge amount of time when organising a multimillion pound takeover of the company, without explaining why it's a long time.

The document that mentions ding lei is in Chinese but has been translated seems it bit confusing looks like Chinese did a e&s job ( repeated old stories) they seen ding mentioned previously so just put 2+2=5 also said wrong stuff about Milan - on diff note we got Chinese web site now so somethings happened.

Could have brought villa for that but would also have taken on a club with 30 million of debt and a wage bill that's double the size of ours for a squad of players who proved last season aren't good enough for the premier league. So I see it as a positive sign for us as they obviously see it as a chance to build a squad good enough to become established in the league as opposed to trying to do it with dead wood.

And yes, as Championship Wolves don't matter - I was surprised but it's definitely how it is, the National press almost completely ignored that we'd been sponsored by Moneyshop and had a 14k+ petition against it, if that had been a Prem club would have been all over National sports news. It's why (certainly if it's Robin Li rather than Ding Lei) this is so ace, because the World is changing, going global, only Prem and other Countries top Division equivalents matter now, and we were getting left behind in the Championship completely and permanently.

I don't care if it Ding Lei, Robin Le, or Bruce Lee for that matter, I for one will be happy in a takeover that will inject some new ideas and fresh direction into WWFC. Some of the quotes regarding Ding Lei being a dissapointment are a joke, quit ya moaning and embrace a new horizon.

Ding Lei is potentially no different from a hoard of other rich foreign owners of British football clubs, for all we know Ding could be another Viktor Tan with crazy ideas, he has money but it takes more than that and we have no evidence he has it. Plus the link with him looking to invest in Zimbawe, in the Robert Mugabe regime is appalling. I'm not embracing an owner that is willing to be involved in Zimbawe, SJH would spin in his grave.
Whereas Robin Li is something really special, he might be worth £11billion now, but it's from innovation rather than licensing (like Ding) , so in a few years time as his innovations grow, he could be worth massively more, like over $50billion. He is connected to UN, has proper understanding of Western business and culture. By association he would naturally gift the club and Wolverhampton a very positive image, Ding wouldn't.

Joking aside, when the tumours or Ding Lei appeared 6 months ago or so, I don't remember anything untowards him then, nor do we really know anything other than what we can read on internet about Robert li, they both are a unknown until recent press, so I embrace it, neither will be any worse than the current regime which is draining out beloved club of anything it has.

It seems Ding Lei was touted as being interested in Wolves in December, maybe just because he was in the area - at the time he was travelling outside of China, that maybe included Europe, maybe even Wolverhampton, but apparently definitely included him visiting Zimbawe to consider investing there. That's such a bad connection, Robert Mugabe gets his forces AK47's from China, which is kind of illegal as his forces have a habit of committing crimes with them. Our Monarchy won't even talk to Robert Mugabe, so I don't think S-Union-JH would want his beloved Wolves selling to someone who'd consider investing in, is maybe even to some extent already involved in Zimbawe (like many Chinese already are) .
That aside, there's nothing bad against Ding Lei, and he does have money, and the club need a new wealthy owner. He's just not automatically incredibly good like Robin Li is, who's like a Chinese Richard Branson. If Robin Li I think it's safe to assume we are in the best hands possible, if it's Ding Lei imo he'll need to prove himself.

Wolves extremely close to signing two Manchester United players. Steve Bruce has confirmed that Nick Powell has agreed to sign for us - Hull had previously tried to sign him. Also, Mourinho has put Tyler Blackett up for sale. We're expected to submit a bid of £500k with bonuses for appearances bringing the fee closer to £750k - though it's unlikely that deal will be finished until a takeover is complete.

The FA has reportedly given the greenlight to Chinese billionaire Robin Li's takeover of Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to reports on social media, paperwork on the deal - which will see Li buy out current owner Steve Morgan for a figure believed to be between £40m and £60m - was completed on Monday afternoon.
The club is said to be planning to formally announce the takeover on Tuesday, ten months after Morgan decided to put the side up for sale.
Li's estimated fortune of £10.6 billion would make Wolves the English side with the second wealthiest full owner, behind only Premier League heavyweights Manchester City.
Rumours have suggested that Li's first act as owner will be to replace manager Kenny Jackett with former Porto boss Julen Lopetegui.
