Calm down mate. Smoke screens and mirrors in some ways. PL only had a 1 year rolling contract and some are saying he has been tapped up by Norwich, could be hedging his bets. Apart from the 5 straight wins he hasn't really been a roaring success. The last 6 games were hardly great mate. The Mendez thing is trickier and causes divides. Last season it was completely messed up because of the deliberation between "the sellers" (M&M) and "the purchaser" (Fosun) . We were always behind the starting gun as far as purchases went and player movement. The delayed agreement also lost us our 1st choice manager by Fosun. Thankfully we were handed a gem in Helda Costa by Mendes otherwise we would have been finished. As for Mendes, we can't deny the contacts he has and we always looked in awe and frustration when he is wheeling and dealing with the top club sides of this world then and now. We can't deny he has influence and it's a good thing that we have that avenue to explore. His company is part of the Fosun group to so they ain't going line other agents pockets when they can keep it the group. This has to be a structured approach mate. PL needs to pull his head in as does Mendes and work together with Fosun and get it right with the right mix.

If PL stubbornness gets to him and he does leave we have to accept his decision - for me if that happens Fosun need to appoint Marco Silva.

Eddie​ I think you have pretty well nailed the current situation. PL or his advisors looks like he is playing a bit of brinkmanship -back me or sack me. I don't blame him in some ways, he is his own man and has confidence in his own ability. But these are big players he is dealing with and sometimes you have to play the cards you are dealt. I fear that the Silva boat has sailed and his next stop will be the likes of Everton West Ham or even Arsenal.

Good sense there mate. If Lambert can't stand the heat he should get out of the kitchen. He should work with Mendes. After all, PL is our coach, not manager, not owner.

Again and again we see foreign coaches and players succeeding at top levels in the PL and the Championship. They improve our standard of football.

To get where Fosun want us to be, we have to go international. Marco Silva would be my man if Hull get relegated.

the statement 'we are giving all transfers to Mendes' is pretty conclusive. Lambert was always going to go back to Norwich anyway.

Agree Eddiepye! This is sense! What upsets folks is the mention of various potential managers that may come in of Zenga ilk, who have no credibility and even worse no experience or track record in our leagues or their own! Everyone wants to see a management team working in harmony and singing from the same hymn sheet. Sadly things seem well short of that and even worse rubbish being suggested to replace PL walks! For a long time now I've been a supporter of Marco Silva. Whether that will come about if PL walks or is pushed I don't know. What I do know is the 3 players mentioned by PL on his wish list, if purchased would improve our team immeasurable! So credit to him where it's due for going for tried and tested quality. He is the manager and as such should have the final say! ⚽️👍😉.

Jose Couceiro surely not!?! . he's had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus, has a worst club career history than Walter Zenga and zero English football experience.
If this happens my 58 years as a WWFC supporter home and away and season ticket holder ends here.
Enough is enough we must end the association with Mendes now before it's too late.

well one things for sure the league don't lie and we finished 15th, not good enough whoever is running it, so nothing will surprise me if there are changes, still cannot make my mind up with Lambert in charge, because let's face it the home form was terrible also team selections, especially at home.
With the money Fosun have we need quality players, also in my mind deap down a quality manager/ coach Thelwell needs moveing on don't now what he actualy does to improve Woves F. C. and through him there is a lot of dead wood that want moveing on.

All these papers saying Paul lambert leaving because of mendes involved is rubbish. Lambert simply has not been offered a new deal yet as his current contract runs out next month, Jeff shi is due in for contract talks and green light for transfers, Tom Lawrence as mentioned before is top of list.

Lambert and Thelwell will leave Wolves in next 48 hours.

Jose Couceiro is not the replacement but the replacement is foreign and of better pedigree.

Big turnaround in last 48 hours as couldn't agree on policies.

The only manager I would like to see come in to replace PL is Marco Silva. However, in PLs favour, I agree with his wish list and would see the players mentioned as certainly improving our team. Mendes needs to Fox Trot Oscar in all this! His role as I would see it, is to provide advice on what talent is available, certainly not controlling transfers. He's an agent not a manager and that is all anyone needs to know where he's concerned I would think! ⚽️👍😉.

This is getting ridiculous about Mendes. Fosun cannot possibly think that having an agent in charge of a clubs transfer policy is a good thing. As I have said many times before, it is a conflict of interest, and now seems to undermine the manager, regardless of whether this is Lambert or someone else. If Lambert walks then fair play to him.

This is no way to run a football club - we will make some money but go absolutely nowhere whilst Mendes lines his own pocket and we have upheaval every year.

Looks like Mendes is using us to get his clients work permits for big moves. The manager should always have full say when it comes to players in and out. Jeff Shi was only saying the other week they need to learn from the mistakes made last summer also said Hiring Zenga was the biggest mistake they made so why would they do it again and hire another one of Mendes's mates. I know he got us Cav and Costa but i'd love to know what his arrangement fee was in those deals.

So more of the same next season. Manager who knows nothing about English football let alone the Championship. Random collection of players ranging from the superb to the pretty crap, previous season's players drafted in because said players aren't good enough, manager gets fired because results aren't good enough. And the icing on the cake will be another relegation battle.

On the plus side, we might keep Costa. Initially, at least.

If this is true Wolves will become Mendes's Shopping window for youngsters from the continent trying to get noticed by Premier League clubs. We'll see one or two quality players per season look good for Wolves and then say goodbye after a season. Financially we won't be ruined but we'll become a selling club that never moves forward!

I suspect that as usual the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Whether you like Lambert or not the manager should be backed in the transfer market. It does make sense to utilise the contacts Mendes has so why can’t we just have the club all working together.
