BIG Indicator towards Roger Johnson moving to Wolves; his agent has said that the player will be sold and it is case of when and not if. This basically means Birmingham are desperate to flog him to make money, they probably want £10m. I hope that we don't wait over this because the big clubs WILL take him, we need to bid for him NOW and get him quickly before we lose what could be the difference between the championship and the premiership.

The hold up in the Jamie O'Hara deal is due to Wolves' interest in Sebastian Bassong who they have tabled a £7m pound bid for.

Spoke to O'Hara at Belfry driving range. Signing this week, no problems with deal just with timings of him, his agent and Moxey being together to finalise (due to holidays).

He said Wolves are talking to another Spurs player but would not confirm who.

Reckons Johnson is Mick's first choice target (behind him!) but thinks Moxey will not go above £7-8m. Dunne, Upson and Mills all second choices depending on Johnson.

Reckons we will be mid-table next year - looking for houses around Sutton (Wardy and Hunt close by).

...and he is a good golfer!!

Wolves have offered Tottenham £12 million for defender Sebastian Bassong and midfielder Jamie O'Hara. The stall in O'Hara's permanent signing for £5 million was because of McCarthy's interest in signing the defender in a joint deal and Redknapp has asked Bassong whether he wants to join the club. Part of this agreement is also that Wolves will be allowed to loan Robbie Keane with a view to a permanent deal signing next season.

I know this from a very strong source within the Molineux who is involved in the in's and out's of the transfers. Wolves are known to be very secretive about dealings and this applies to this too, if you remember last season, McCarthy denied any interest in '£7m-rated Steven Fletcher' then what happened? We signed him.

Guirane N'Daw has reportedly said on a french radio station that he has been contacted by representatives of Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding a move to the Black Country club from French side St. Etienne. Real Zaragoza had an option to sign him permanently after his loan spell there but the spanish club have decided not to take up that option after only making 9 appearances in La Liga last term. Wolves have been tracking the Senegal international for some time now.

Wolves WILL sign Jamie O'Hara 100% i can confirm, wages have been agreed it is just personal terms being agreed and permanent accommodation needs to be found for the player. The club aren't rushing into any agreements with the player contracted on loan to Wolves until the 30th June anyway.

I can also reveal Jez Moxey has said the club are willing to smash the transfer record of £7m spent on Burnley's Fletcher - this could be an indicator that we are going to try and sign Roger Johnson from Birmingham, obviously not for the ridiculous £14m price tag but I reckon between £7-10 million.

Overall expenditure with these two signings would add up to between £12-15 million so I expect that unless there are outgoings then Wolves will look at the free transfer market and especially, Matthew Upson who has loads of premier league experience and would meet Mick's criteria. Other possible signings could be a cut price deal for both Bassong and O'Hara in a £10m deal.

They may also consider a foreign defender to play alongside Roger Johnson IF we can sign him - Names being mentioned are Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, Sebatien Puygrenier, Damien Perquis and Abdou Kader Mangane all of these defenders could be available for less than £5m and would be a cost effective alternative.

If all else fails and Wolves cannot sign Matthew Upson because of wage demands or competition for the player and Bassong decides against joining the club and no foreign alternative can be found then Wolves will look at their lowest priority singing - Matt Mills from Reading.

You heard it here first,
