Wolves have offered Stoke's out-of-favour striker Kenwyne Jones a move to the Molineux, with both sides still to agree on a fee. Pulis is thought to be very resilient to dropping on the £8m fee paid from when Stoke bought him from Sunderland, and it's expected to equal out to about £6.5m once everything has been agreed between the two clubs.

If this deal doesn't take place although it is highly likely as both sides are interested in the deal, then Wolves will look to potential alternatives that can come into the club and have an instant impact. Striker's who have been shortlisted include Jelle Vossen, Andre Alves and Jordan Rhodes.

They have also been in brief contact with Tottenham over the possibility of signing Sebastien Bassong on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. Bassong is a versatile defender, that can play anywhere across the back four.

My thoughts on this are Wolves have bought Eggart Jonsson who can play any where in the MF , so perhaps Wolves will use the rest of the kitty and buy Jones ? It will take money to keep us in the premier league , how ever imagine being relegated , losing 35 million plus television rights.Perhaps Steve Morgan oe Jez Moxey would be willing to up the ante a little bit to stay in the league? also if a striker comes in SEB is wanted by a few championship clubs that too would generate cash.

Jones deal + Bassong on loan is interesting and if the poster below got, say, Kevin Jarvis mixed with Matt Doyle in a swop for Keith Gardner of Sunderburn then who could argue?

What I also forgot to add about Eggart Jonsson is that he can play across the midfield and also as a central defender.Also Stoke want to sign Michael Uchebo so there could be a surplus of Strikers at the oat cakes stadium.

wolves have apparently enquired about bringing keith andrews back to the molinuex .and also a bid has been accepted by sunderland for craig gardiner for 4.2 million with jarvis going the other way for an undisclosed fee . i work closely with an agent of one of the players .

Why would we get an undisclosed fee plus Gardner for jarvis if were giving sunderland 4 mill. Name the agent if its true

That would be an awful lot (literally) of midfielders signed up this window. Sense or squad limit whichever comes first should apply in this case.

Agree with the above especially when you look at what liverpool paid for carrol last year cant really compare them though but i suppose you can compare villa paying 10m+ for that bloke from wigan cant for the life of me remember his name! but anyway jarvis is better IMO
