West Ham agree an undisclosed fee for Matt Jarvis, believed to be a total of 10mil, add-ons included

Good get the money and bring someone new in.

I can only see jarvis as a bench warmer for any other club cos he really shouldnt have been on the pitch for us in alot of matches,
he only played every match cos he was a MM favourite.
Watch him fall from grace when he leaves.
Im serious here

^^^^
agreed he aint really that good kept on running the ball out of play most of the time

Get the money and run i say.

How many times does he run the ball out and how many bad crosses does he do, if some fool wants to pay 10 mill for him then snatch there hand off

I was really impressed with Forde yesterday. I think he can be better then Jarvis in the next couple of seasons

TWOLF

If this is true take the money.Jarvis had a better second half of last season , the first half was woeful.Ten million could get us two players of his ability.
Gibo.

So dissappointed in Jarvis, we bring him in from a lower league club, he is part of the team that took us down ?? Get a grip kid you aren't better than Wolves ! Home the demise is slow and painful watching on from the bench ! #noloyaltyinfootball

Let him go cos he is a confidence player as soon as it goes wrong for him he will fall apart, i dont want to see this ungrateful little scroat in the ground again.
he isnt as good as people are saying ,10m snatch hands off ,the mugs

I agree wiv TWOLF forde looked good yesterday just needs to improve shooting and cud b twice the player of jarvis

WILKO

Suddenly everyone turns on Jarvis and calls him useless, whereas in previous seasons you'd all put him first on your team sheet!! Fickle fans! {Ed011's Note - That's because the rest of the squad is slightly more useless. Didn't you see us play last season haha! Onwards and upwards!

Fletch has now said he don't want to play for the first team again and he's happy to sit out his 3 year contract how arrogant

Express and star

If i were in charge of Wolves i wouldn't pay him his wages simple he is breaching his contract surely?

Yeh right Fletch, how bout we terminate ur contract as u would be in breach and u can't play for anyone for 3 years. It's a short career after all that's why u want to cut and run isn't it?! LMAO

What a kcoc he is eh' over paid waste of space. Steve i take my hat off to you for your service but god why do you have to be acting like a spoiled child? i agree with stale he's running the risk of ruining his career. i dont care if we let him rot in the stands and make an example of him to show you dont walk all over the mighty wolves

Look how stale treated podolski an he is way better you don't want 2get in the wrong side of stale lol !

Fletch has a choice and its a simple one! Be professional and play giving 100% if a move isn't agreed before deadline day or say "No I'm not playing!" when selected and get no money" The PFA would have to back the club!
He wants to look at what Ronaldo did at Man Utd! Told he wasn't able to go to Real Madrid that summer but played his heart out that season and got his move the following year! He and his agent only have themselves to blame signing a lucrative contract for 4 years last summer! Happy to take the money thinking the contract isn't worth the paper its written on! Guess what Fletch?!?! It is worth the paper its written on and its legally binding! Maybe should have negotiated a relegation release clause! Maybe that would have meant less money?!?!

Let fletcher rot in the reserves and train with the kids for 3 years, will teach him a lesson, you never know he might Grow up then

What person beside fletch and his agent could possibly disagree with any of this

I have a great idea, lets sell him for the fee of 12 million which is the price we put on his head initially anyway.
Or is that too easy?

Hey guys I'm putting in a request! I've given everything for wolves but I want to support a team in the prem. I'm not good enough for a top 6 team so I'll support Sunderland. But if they get relegated I'll prob jump ship again cause I'm an absolute disloyal p***k!

If we sell him for 12mill we'll make about 3mill profit. So not much more than we've made on s***ely! Need to hold out for 15-20mill.

I'm dissappointed at the complete lack of professionalism shown by Fletch, complete mersonary !

12 mill is the price that the media has hyped. Have you ever seen Wolves say that is the price.
I think the fact that they have turned that bid down indicates not.

11 Aug 2012 20:52:32
I have a really good idea if Fletch and Jarvis are so desperate to further their careers by playing football with a premiership club next season why don't they drop their wage demands to free up more money for Sunderland and west ham to spend on signing them!

Morgan &moxey could cost wolves big time if jarvis and fletcher stay and dont play first team football if i was wolves i would take the 12mill sunderland off them 9mill off west ham.cos value will drop if not sold befor transfer window closes.

Safc fan here, starting to sweat now aint you,if i was oneill i wud tell u where to go and wait till january and get fletcher for 5mill,greed gets u nowhere in football and weve learnt that lesson

Just get the money in, its a no brainer surely? No use to us on the bench but the 23 million will be huge for our club on and off the pitch, no need to dick about.

SAFC, what planet you on talking about greed. Villa offered 18m for Bent but you wouldn't let him go for less than 24m!

SAFC don't think for one minute we won't tear his contract up and retain his registration for the next 3 years, u want him come and get him you know what we want

I'd laugh now if Newcastle came in and offered the £20million for that mercenary Fletcher. That'd piss off the scum that is SAFC.
Notice the a? it stands for "administrated" something Wolves have never been.

11 Aug 2012 20:30:23
Coach Ståle Solbakken will appear with central defender Pedro Geromel another former player of his time at the 1st FC Cologne to attract the Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Coach Ståle Solbakken apparently wants another former player of his time at the 1st FC Cologne to attract the Wolverhampton Wanderers. After Slawomir Pesko wants to win the Norwegian central defender Pedro Geromel for the English second division club. The club provides for 2.4 million euros allegedly for financial reasons, the retired former captain.

"We will also talk about Pedro Cologne," Solbakken told the Express: ". The Spanish clubs have financial problems - maybe we can get to the train as" Sevilla is also interested in the Portuguese.

Source from Online focus which i translated on google translate :)

I was about to say wtf! then you said google translate

11 Aug 2012 19:24:39
Wolves interested in Pedro Geromel, a CB.

Wooo a defender for once

Yeah but we still desperately need some creativity now weve lost kightly, jarvis and fletch, in my opinion i think we are more likely to be relegated than promoted if we dont improve our midfield and attack

Relegated? Don't be ridiculous.

If we lose Jarvis and Fletcher I won't be so confident about finishing top 2 but we'll still be favourites to make the play offs.

Keep the faith, Stale knows what he's doing.

Whats to say pezsko is not as good as jarvis?
Also if fletch is so great, how come he has never held down a regular starting place at wolves? Mick ignored him the first year, then he was in and out with doyle for the rest of it.

If we look at Jarvos performances last season he only played a few good games, the money we may get for him will defo be too much so just let him go, as you say pesko may be pretty good for all we know!!

11 Aug 2012 18:53:57
There was some very brief moments of good play but there are a few issues. Doyle was crap. All he did was consistently fall over which a lot of the time meant lose the ball which kinda stopped the passing we were doing. Ward had good moments but simply lost the ball too often. I think that some of the players just simply don't match the style of play stales after. Also seb should of buried some of his chances. On a positive note tongo looks like he could become a very good and important player. Maybe the reason why pezko has been signed is that he matches the style of play and hopefully so will siggardson. But a new cb is defiantly needed. An fletch and Jarvis need to go soon because more players are required. It may take a few weeks/months for the new playing system to work so we have to be patient. Also I believe this is our first competitive win at molineux in 2012 I think so at least we have a wining start

I agree with most of that, but have to disagree about Doyle. I thought he played ok, he put himself about and made some good runs. He will only get better and that goes for the whole team.

AW

Got to disagree with the part about Doyle, he worked his socks off and I think if he had a stronger forward up with him (Sigurdarson) then we would not need any more strikers. I think Stearman played quite poor but hey what's new about that. Henry slowed down our attacking play so if we swapped Ohara for Henry I think that would be a championship winners side

I disagree wiv the doyle part but agree wiv the rest because he looked better he only went down lots because the couldn deal wiv him didnt hav too many chances and the ones he did were difficult apart from 1. i also agree tht SEB shud of scored loads more he shud of had 3 or 4

WILKO

{Ed011's Note - SSN reporting that us and Middlesborough are considering a loan move for Josh McEachren.

I don't think he's really what we need at the moment. He went to Swansea and made no real impact.

Jarvis replacement no doubt

We need defenders not centre mids as we have signed two new midfielders which look awsome, have davis and ismael who may be able to play so not really worth while.

Two that look awesome?

Yes, alot better than the s***e last season prick!!

I've only seen one play so far, prick, so have you, prick, so to say we have signed two midfielders that look awesome, prick, is a bit premature, I guess a bit like you, prick

Mate i have seen then both play for their previous clubs, did you think they just came off the streets!!

11 Aug 2012 18:07:32
{Ed011's Note - Rather than Moxey and Morgan out I'm annoyed we scrapped the Director of Football plan. Moxey and Morgan both have things they're good at but for neither of them it's football - a DofF would've broken up their monopoly a bit, could've helped structure or reignite our scouting system and could've helped balance the Football vs Business scales which are clearly out of place at the moment. Someone in that position could also have helped Solbakken in making sure he isn't out of his depth and it would've helped to avoid any kind of debacle over getting a new manager like we had last season.

And I think it's worth adding that Johnson got a big round of applause as he walked over to take his penalty, which was a quality goal and he applauded back after he'd scored. Maybe Solbakken aimed for a draw on purpose to show off how good we've gotten on Penalties ;)!!

Reality check. Morgan has and will always have a monopoly over the club while he is here because he owns the club.

Was pleased for Rog. It's a new era, new start.

Pleased for Rog. New era, New start.

11 Aug 2012 18:07:27
For christ sake get some players in.
Henry is just too negative to be a captain.
Stearman is just too crap.
Hunt is a waste of time.
How many chances does blake need

Too peed off to remember the others

God i hope something changes for leeds match or its going to be a hammering for us.

I posted somthink like this on the banter page and a fan wrote in calling me a baggie and get off site, its nuthink todo with a baggie itw we in the real world and if we strugling against aldershot how we gona cope with leeds

Well its true they were crap and nothing as improved with them ,,they are not good enough and that is that.
christ sake Doyle stay on your feet cos ur a footballer not a earthworm, its getting very embarrassing now seeing it

Stale has brought in the right players and it looks like more is to come. We didnt play our complete strongest team against aldershot so stop moaning. We ent got Mick no more and berra wants out so just look forward.

Personally, may be cos a run a company this is.
I like to see people moaning it shows that they care and would rather have moaners any day.
All football fans from all clubs moan cos they care and i regard them as the real loyal fans

It is amazing, given that no team in history has ever slipped up against a minnow?! Well other than man utd, arsenal, liverpool, chelsea, barcelona, brazil, argentina, france, blah blah blah...................get a grip, it was basically a friendly.

How can you say moaners are loyal fans, loyal fans are people who support the club not put the club down everytime they do something. So im guessing you moaned when jarvis got an england cap or when we avoided relegation two seasons ago!!

11 Aug 2012 17:49:26
Not going to get too worked up about having a poor first match at the start of the season, but there are a few things that are a concern to me already....

... our deffence has been poor for years now, and STILL we have not improved it with weeks left of the transfer market open.

... Morgan and moxey are making things hard for Stale, the blokes hardly had alot of time to assess the squad and now he hasnt a clue who's even going to be here at the start of the season.

... Our three best players from last season (best as in least rubbish more like) all have asked to leave and want out... i expect more to follow suit.

... Rumours are Stale doesnt do alot of comunicating with the squad and alot of players are used to be best mates with Mick, there out there comfort zone, on half wages now so i can understand why there thinking of leaving.

... I cant help but think Moxey doesnt handle things well and has too much say, the first thing i'd of done after last season is took our 3/4 players that came out with any credit last season, Kites, Jarvo, Fletch & Hennerz ans told them they can have a new contract with there same wages as an aknowlegment of there efforts and worth to the club.

... I hope Stale get all the money from sales to strengthen the team cos he will need every penny, my fear is that it wont happen we'll struggle to gel the new team together and fans will turn on Stale insted of the real problem that is moxey.

Mill wolf.

up the wolves, (trying to) keep the faith

I think those same players will still be there cos nobodys going to pay that money

11 Aug 2012 17:38:45
couldnt go today..how did the crowd react to roger? was there any negativity towards our other ' stars '?.... {Ed011's Note - No everyone has been fine with RJ, people have gotten frustrated with players but nothing negative other than booing Berra every time he's touched the ball.

Agreed, Johnson is our last thing to whinge about today, bigggers concerns are the deserting ship rats right now. Infact R.J had a good game. Shape is of a team thats not sure who's going to be there much longer though.

He got a standing ovation for his penalty

You will find that Roger was given a stand ovation when he stepped forward to take his penalty. he did well of course he made 1 or 2 mistakes but all in all a much better performance from him and much more positve.
PortonWolf

Get bloody rid of ward

11 Aug 2012 11:20:14
Jarvis hands in transfer request.

One thing about Jarvis is he will play until he moves on unlike cry baby Fletcher.

If Jarvis go s. whu or Southampton surely he must realise he will probably be back in the champ ship next year ??

Thanks morgan/moxley outside new stand can not bloody get in moxley was at one of the windows to look at us peasants

Jarvis play...nobblers...pulled a sicky today...Listening to WM commentary apparently we are all at sea with the prediction of getting battered at Leeds..No shape or purpose says Franks. A club in crisis.
Looks like we've been duped with false promises and the sniff of profit taking....theWolvesVicar

Always will be duped with morgan

What's disturbing is franks is so wolves pro biased normally he is describing the performance as absolute dross. couldn't go today due to work commitments but am keen to here what other wolves fans witnessed...worrying times?...thewolvesvicar {Ed011's note - I'm sat in the North Bank and Johnson has probably been man of the match. We're playing one winger in Forde who is too young to be the only winger, he's played well but doesn't have the experience to be the only winger and it tells. We're playing three more defensive midfielders but Doumbia has looked good, I hope Solbakken realises that Davis is not a right mid soon because putting him out there just shuts him out of the game completely, I'd rather see Peszko on one side and Forde or O'Hara on the other if he's adamant about playing 3 centre mids. The strikers just haven't had much too do and haven't much themselves; Sigurdarson is going to have to be phenomenal otherwise there is a lot of work to do. We at least need a CB, LB and creative CM my choice being Henrikson.

With Morgan and Moxey running this club, I dread to think what this season holds. McCarthy should have gone in December or at the end of the season. Connor should never have got the job and now we have a manager no one has heard of!!

Franks has just let fly...rows and rows of Redrow houses at Compton...£25 million coming in...Never mentioned prem money but finished: what is Morgans real agenda with Wolves?..TheWolvesVicar

You have hit the nail on the head fully agree well said sir

Absolutely disgusted with today's sick notes, the word professional gives a clue of what we expect at least Berra turned up.

You watch professional footballers and then our athletes, who are the real sportsmen!

Today is the day I fell out of love with football 28 yrs a season ticket holder at wolves but no more I'm totally lost for words they got us relegated not me but I have to suffer my boys play for fun and with their mates on Saturday and next week their dad will be watching. Thank you kightly fletcher and Jarvis wwfc first game 1967 last game 2012. Greedy b******s.

Stale atleast is signing new players like doumbia and pesko, atleast that shows that he isnt just relying on the crap such as edwards, henry and berra and he is playing the youth - he looks forwards!!

That says it all the greed has won, stick with it pal another bully may be just around the corner.

Today was letharghic on and off the field went in hope came back in despair a 200 mile round trip davisward zubar Stearman ikeme Doyle nouble Ebanks no doumbia Henry forde Johnson youdid ok

11 Aug 2012 10:53:13
With rangers down the pan, why not go for Lee Wallace again? Correct me if I'm wrong but it was money which lead him there, now they have no money, we should give it a bash for him! Decent LB!
WordsleyWolf

Far to close to home for Stale, expect a player with a name that contains at least one of the following letters qwzxyv

Infact that proberly going to be our new left back, theres only one qwzxyv ! haha

Mills Wolf

Maybe because Wallace is crap!!

11 Aug 2012 10:34:56
{Ed011's Note - According to Sky the Times is reporting that Sunderland are considering a £5million move for Scott Dann and apparently they've been told Wolves want a £20million fee for Fletcher.

After what fletcher has done id demand £20mil to :D
PortonWolf

Kinda getting sick of the whole Fletcher saga. Take the initial 10 mill we first put on his head and lets move on.

I would really like him to stay, he'd kill it in the championship. But we can't afford to have players who don't want to be apart of our club.

Let him rot in the reserves ,,never let players think there bigger than any club

I agree with the "no player bigger than the club" but those type of players can be cancerous to our team... if he wants out, bang! set him free

Sell him for say 12 mil, sign some replacement of some kind and let fletcher do it 'henri camara style' and just drift off nowhere!!

11 Aug 2012 10:26:23
According to Tim Nash Jarvis has told the club he wants to leave. Things seem pretty low at the club at the moment (to me anyway) - I just hope the players we've brought in are good enough! Tim Nash also tweeted me last night saying there was no transfer request handed in but it could happen.

SSN online jarvis has handed in transfer request!! Gutted bring in Ismail lets see how good the kid is
UTW

Money talks folks West Ham after Jarvis, they paid the most on agent fees by a mile last season, im sure a call come in we will offer you 80,000 week, but i dont think we would miss him too much, Chumpionship would target him next season anyway to take him out the game.

Jarvis is very overated get shut

Money talks folks West Ham after Jarvis, they paid the most on agent fees by a mile last season, im sure a call come in we will offer you 80,000 week, but i dont think we would miss him too much, Chumpionship would target him next season anyway to take him out the game.

Think we will miss jarvis the most out of all the players that will leave, gutted hes going, my favourite player down the mol by a mile, always looked dangerous on the ball, lightening quick, we will not be able to replace him.

I think the biggest miss is Wayne, with De Vries going and only having Ikeme who is not very experianced then he is our biggest miss. Not a player who is overrated and puts the most crosses without a goal into the box - meaning Jarvis!!

11 Aug 2012 09:23:12
The Mirror are reporting that Jarvo has handed in a transfer request in order to try and force through his move to West Ham for 9m

Let the bugger go

And now you turn on Jarvis! ...quality 'fans' we have at this club!!

I think you'll find its the players turning on the club we support, so what do you expect eh ?

Mills wolf

Were not fans of the players were fans of the club, and if they choose to turn there back on the club then we shall turn on them !

He has played bad and got us relegated, we make him a player who gets an england cap and a player who has played in the prem and is liked by other teams and he repays us with wanting to leave. I forgot that means we should love him!!

He hardly played badly and got us relegated mate, he was our most consistent player for 3 years and also we didnt get him his england cap, he got it for himself!

^^ you call the player who puts the most crosses without a goal the most consistent player for us, and he played for wolves when he got the england cap so without us playing him and hyping him up he wouldnt have gotten the cap. Just get your cock out of his arse mate!!

11 Aug 2012 09:13:55
Would like to see stale put a team out today that will hopefully start against Leeds. I would like Johnson and bathh to gel as I think this could be a solid partnership in this division. I know Johnson had a bad season but im confident he will turn it round and repay us. I also thing bathh has the potential to really cement his place this year. Lets get behind the team today and make a positive start.

Ste is wolves

That would be good, see where we stand with the players and see whether these new signings are going to change the squad or just be useless buys!!

11 Aug 2012 08:51:26
Sell Fletcher, Hammil, Jarvis and Berra. Buy Boenisch at LB move Ward forward to replace Jarvis. Then sign Rhodes, Whittingham, & Dann . I think anyone who doesn't want to play for us should just go move on old gold and black forever

Did i just read that u want ward moved to left wing? Cant beat a player, isnt overly quick, cant cross! Is s***, soyeah can we plzzzz! NNOOOO

Not Dann, his wages are through the roof however I can see your point with his Johnson connections whilst at Birmingham. Personally I'd give Batth a go with Johnson. Wittingham is a great player and I'd love us to sign him. Rhodes would be god but didn't Fulham bid £2 million for him yesterday? Granted it was rejected.

Agree with all that apart from pushing ward up he hasn't got the pace or skill to be a successful replacement for jarvo, still agree we need to sell while we can at these high prices and get some money in to re-invest in the team and get some good players in

Get rid of ward he is bloody useless

P!atience. Ward will go as soon as MM is back in a job

I really bloody hope so

Ward shouldnt be in the squad so you got that wrong. Dann also had a bad season, so two defenders who got relagated and had bad seasons i think isnt the greatest move, and he would cost some. Wickham would be good but it probs would be for a season loan. And Rhodes, well theres no point we have got nouble, sigurdesson and if wickham is a possibility and we would already have seb and doyle!!

11 Aug 2012 08:27:51
According to the Daily Star

SUNDERLAND are ready to offer Connor Wickham to Wolves in a last-ditch bid to land top target Steven Fletcher.

Wickham, 19, endured a frustrating season at the Stadium of Light last term following his £8m move from Ipswich, scoring just one goal in 15 appearances.

IMO we have enough forwards at the deal is only a loan deal so see ya Marty O'Neill.

Gibo.

A good friend of mine works as a bin man and picks up the bins for one of the directors, he caught his son the other morning who was going out, who gave him 3 interesting parts of information.

1) don't expect matt Jarvis to be hanging around he's either going to Southampton, Wigan or Sunderland

2) we would love to bring in Scott dann, the new boss believes are football style should begin with defence and if we don't concede we won't lose, and they believe a dann/Johnson back pairing would be the best the championship has ever seen.

3) surprise indication was that Carlton cole has been involved with talks, but funds must be raised first

Derrick (the secret wolve)

Lol its feckin bin nen now.

Brilliant! I suppose you were bored and thought you'd try to be funny? Why does everyone link us with Dann!?

1st estate agents now binmen wat next...?

WILKO

A window cleaner.

Funny you should say window cleaning, my mate cleans the windows on the molinuex and noticed something very interesting.

They're not bin men them refuse disposal operatives and my mate is a window cleaner at a well known estate agents!!

I bet it wasnt a trophy

I told u this morning Jarvis wasn't wasn't hangin around didn't I now look! and yes I am a bin man and proud bet u wouldn't put up with what I have to, I ain't no window cleaner and I ain't no estate agent
I've given you some honest rumours and all you do is joke about my job. Us wolves boys should stand together not ridicule each other. Steve bull forever

Derrick (the wolve)

Derrick, if you being totally honest with us then hats off to you and i apologise on behalf of all of us, but theres been every tom dick and harry coming out with all sorts of stuff recently from "i work at range rover and fletcher was in here with his motor saying how he's not going to leave wolves" to 2my mates dads best freinds next door neighbour aunt is an estate agent for wolves footballer only and Jarvis has just bought a house here so iss staying"

Nothing personal toward you or your job mate, and i used to work for biffa so i know you earn your money.

I do however have to question links to Dann & Cole as there wages would go against our stupid peanuts for players policy.

Mills wolf

Well let me tell u all! being a bin man is hard, me and my mates are grafters, I don't spend all day on here making up rubbish about are beloved club.
We were given some info from a reliable source which u chose not to believe and ridicule all of are jobs we are bin men and we are proud. And matt Jarvis will be leaving as I stated!

Sony suppose your could collect a few player to take to the tip on your rounds Derrick

I will be dumping the lot in the trash can there bloody awful lets hope the deal for Carlton cole will happen

Derrick ( the secret wolve)

I thought this was a wolves forum site not bin-men-are-s***.com {Ed011's Note - That sounds like an awful website.

11 Aug 2012 00:18:05
I am almost certain that as soon as Berra leaves a new defender will come in

Matt jarvis has just told my dad that he wants a move to a russian league side.

Team for today.
Ikeme

Zubar
Johnson
Stearman
Ward

Pzecko
Davis
Doumbia
Jarvis

Sighurdson
Doyle {Ed011's Note - Henry has been made captain for it so I had expected him to start.

Berra is a class act expect a swap deal with Poyol as Berra apparently like Barcelona and the change of scenery is just what he's looking for.

As anyone showed any interest in berra yet

^^^ its berra wat do u expect directors lining up at solbakkens door

WILKO

Buy berra get ward free

11 Aug 2012 00:06:49
maybe jarvis will stay he's made no noises and his wife is going on holiday with danielle o'hara so maybe behind closed doors there all good mates. i suppose im being optimistic eh?

Looks as though he has put in a written request

According to various reports Jarvis has now handed in a transfer request (West London Sport, Wolvesnews rumourmill) {Ed011's Note - He's starting today would be surprised if he picked today.

Again, there has been no transfer request from Jarvis but he has told the club he wants to leave for PL football

If he has told the club he wants to leave isn't that a transfer request!

Get bloody shut of him he is overated
