its going to be dean smith if wolves can persaude him. brothers girlfriend works behind the scenes and tipped us about it a few days ago (we like to bet a few quid) so we could get good odds. we picked up 66/1, dropped to 20/1 now, still a long shot a lot of people will think, but trust there's a high chance of this happening. i'll probably get lots of abuse for this, and i'll accept it if i'm wrong but i'm just sharing a view from behind the scenes at wolves.

Hes got an awfull record with walsall no thanks rather try to stay in the football league

I hope not I really want coyle along with a lot of wolves fans if moxey and Morgan want fans back on side they need to listen to them

We could have all the managers mentioned but unless the thinking at the top of tree changes we are going nowhere.

If it really is to be Dean Smith, could this be more proof of Moxey's penny pinching?nothing to do with Smith's managerial capabilities, but it would save a fortune on the personalised manager's kit. wouldn't have to replace DS.

Not convinced

With Richard O, Kelly leaving Bristol he will join as number two to Dean Smith

We've changed kit anyway so it's have to be changed!

Dean smith did well with Walsall last season considering they were favourite to get relegated. What kind of football does he play? Long ball or on the ground?

My mates dads youngest brothers sons cousins daughter who works in madrid says jose has ruled himself out seriousley the pose re dean smith if he can be persuaded eh meks ya laugh how about jackie mcnamara ex wolves and done great job at partick

He tries to play good football which I like and he has brought in a really young team at Walsall which I also like. Personally I would prefer someone looking to make their way up the managerial ladder over someone like Coyle who doesn't really offer anything new.

You might as well have a treble and go for Lord Lucan and Shergar turning up the same week he's appointed! Go and troll somewhere else!

Troll? I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years thank you. like I said, i'm happy to take abuse if i'm wrong, but its not been proven wrong yet

Mixu paatalainen has got job

10 May 2013 16:48:31

FC Steaua București head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf in talks with Wolves FC. Wants to bring Raul Rusescu with him.

I honestly can't see our board appointing another foreign manager for a 100 years. Ian H

Love this site. Everyone knows somebody who knows somebody who definitely knows who will be manager. All 100%

Not going to happen but I'd take him if it did. Steaua play great football.

11 May 2013 13:33:52
I'd take him too. But why would he come to Wolves?

This would be excellent. The best option out of all those suggested so far.

Apparently Leigh Griffiths confirmed at a hibs sponsor's night he will be leaving us to sign permanently with them. Shame, looked a player. Nevertheless it gives us a chance to really start a fresh and bring in players that will get us back to where we should be.

Don't we have a year option on him? In which case if we take it up then they have to make an offer for him before he goes anywhere?

Get a sell on cluse on any outgoing players worth any money.

Pat Fenlon said last night on STV that he hasn't spoken to anyone at Wolves about Leigh Griffiths yet and that he probably wouldn't be able to until we have a new manager in place.

A web site now reporting that Fenlon doesn't know where Griffiths will be next season

Jacket HAS got the job 100%, will be announced in a couple of weeks so everyone will think they have taken their time to get the man they wanted. Another major mistake from Morgan and the OILSLICK. P. J.

Oh he's got the job HAS he?

100% that's a bold statement.

And how do you know this?

If it's true (which I pray it isn't) then yes, it's another horendous decision by the people who run our club.

I really hope you are wrong.

No he hasnt.

Lee Wolf.

Im new to this stuff and i'm a PNE fan but my in-laws are wolves fans, everything I had read in the Express and Star is total rubbish, so don't believe stuff from Express and Star because it's a waste of time, always check your club's offical page or even the tv rumours, but yet again, tv talk aload of s*** too

Afraid I'm not wrong, I got this info from a sports writer mate of mine. Big big mistake Coyles the one for me. I'm gutted its going to be Jacket. P. J.

Utter rubbish.

100% cool going to go and lump on at the bookies then

I heard this the same day he resigned from milwall think its between him and coyle now

Coyle has stated he wants the job I'd give it him! He'd do really well in this role and did a great job with Bolton

Be careful. Crafty people are amongst us who try to manipulate bookies' odds by creating false rumours so we all "lump on".

Total rubbish m8, they are in the process off interviewing and they are taking on board that the fans reaction is, and the fans want coyle.

Coyle 1000% fans choice I don't think morgan would get anyone else. he needs to listen to the fans not moxey again

Well your sports journo is wrong! its Coyle my source has been 100% so far

Thelwell and Moxey both departed at 9am on Flight BE843 (Birmingham to Edingburgh) this morning.

They are apparently opening (tentative) initial talks with three managers whilst they are there - one is Pat Fenlon from Hibernian. Other two unconfirmed, but only one of these is a Scottish Premier manager!

Could be going to see Griffiths and to hold that 'meeting' which was stated last week?

It might be Jackie McNamara who did a fantastic job in getting Partick Thistle promoted (although he did leave to manage Dundee Utd in January). Jackie as manager with Colin Cameron as number two, he currently manages Cowdenbeath.

The scottish leagues are of poor standard though. If you want someone to bring long term success in the higher divisions we have to look at someone with more experience than Jackie Mcnamara

Terry Butcher - if that's why they have gone up there. (If they have)

Fenlon would be a great appointment if true? Has a good record and worked under financial strains promoting youth.

Fergie was from Scotland. and we all know how successful he has been. People all write the Scottish leagues off but look at other leagues around the world which are around the same level e. g. Portugal those leagues have produced some good players and managers Mourinho, AVB. The footballing world is far wider than England these days and there are many talents that are waiting to be found.

Pat Fenlon's record is p69 w24 d16 l29 34% success rate in a mediocre league. We sacked a bloke with a 33% record! No thanks

If he comes he should be able to control griffiths

Terry Butcher has done a good job at ICT. But I'm not sure anyone else in Scotland is Wolves material. In fact I'm not sure Butcher is either.

I wonder if Owen Coyle has been back up living in Scotland whilst he hasn't been working

Any chance we've left Moxey in Scotland?

10 May 2013 23:19:59
That wasn't what I meant!
McWulf

10 May 2013 09:53:52
Owen Coyle just said he wants the job, that ok by me. Good coach won't take any Crap. P. J.

Where did you see this?

It's on the Express & Star website, so it must be true.

10 May 2013 12:27:23
I'd gladly take Coyle good manager plays nice footy

I don't think he's take head coach role as he doesn't have full say on what players he wants etc its the wells choice and he has to say yes or no so Dno if he'd be that interested?

10 May 2013 07:46:30
Just seen Karl Robinson down molineux! Interview?

You will see a few Faces at the Mol because they are interviewing 10 to 15 candidates. Just because you may have seen one don't mean he's got the job. P. J.

I hope so! Would love him to get the job! Exactly what is needed.

Karl Pilkington would do a better job

You don't interview at the club. It's done in private at some hotel or other

Media Wolf Pete

^ wasteman, Karl Robinson would do a great job, we need to show adventure and not do things on the cheap - I would genuinly rather spend 2 or 3 seasons in league one building up a better team with a better style of football, than bounce back up with hoof-it football and risk falling back down again or becoming mid-table dross. With Robinson you would get some real passion - New Manager, New Players, New Generation

Completely agree, Robinson would show some real ambition

10 May 2013 07:12:00
Karl Robinson will be appointed as the new Wolves head coach.

Fingers crossed! Massive introduction in the new internal set up. Great coach with great potential.

Completely disagree, big budget with mk and finished mid table, massive sense of his own importance with no basis for it. yet another scouser too. no thanks.

10 May 2013 06:07:22
Any news on Leigh Griffiths?

How's Berra doing?

Crap as usual. P. J.

Owen coyle next week!
