Anyone heard any news on replacing Afobe? I haven't found anything.

10 Jan 2016 18:50:02
I think he's injured Wolvesbrain. That's why he wasn't in the squad yesterday.

10 Jan 2016 18:51:38
Yep its Siggy.

10 Jan 2016 18:56:02
Absolutely, you will forgive my sarcasm, but here are their names:

Le Fondre

Sigurdarson and

Enobakhare.

10 Jan 2016 20:00:14
What thoughts on kiki from m/ borough £2m?

10 Jan 2016 20:25:20
Can't really blame Afobe for leaving, the clubs up for sale and after last season everyone expected us to show ambition sign some decent players and push for promotion we've become a very avarage mid table club who don't spend money. I think everyone could see Afobe leaving so hopefully our recruitment team have a long list of possible replacements. Very unlikely though. Would love to see Bright Enobakhare given a chance though.

11 Jan 2016 00:08:35
There's a hot young striker at Bury by the name of Leon Clarke. Anybody know anything about him - I've heard that we've been linked with him in the past. Haha.

11 Jan 2016 07:53:14
What about a loan move for crouch, he not getting regular football at stoke, only stumbling block is moxey calling stoke his number is probably barred.

11 Jan 2016 08:31:59
Crouch would be good, if he can rekindle is old form that is. I suspect we'll go for a loan player as Dicko will be available (hopefully) before the end of the season and we have Alf. Looks like Siggy will be OK to play soon - who would have though he would be our number 1 striker?

Enobakhare has presumably fallen out of favour. But knowing Kenny, he can be back in favour at the drop of a hat.

11 Jan 2016 09:52:19
Just a thought, I know he's young but why not given niall ennis a chance, he must be worth looking at if United, Chelsea and Arsenal were keeping tabs, and he's in the england youth set up. The club kepts harping on about players for the future so why not! Beats getting in another Grant Holt on loan.

11 Jan 2016 13:50:45
Euroman we have no chance of crouch with wages he is on, and we all now that Morgan is the tightest owner we have had with the money he as and what he spends on players, and what's worrying is no sale of club at the moment It makes you think if he is happy in what he is doing.

11 Jan 2016 17:24:12
I know bigwolf but if it's a loan deal we might be able to cut a %age with Stoke on that. I doubt we're looking at him anyway.

10 Jan 2016 17:59:51
Heard that Adam Armstrong is coming our way, Iorfa being tracked by premier league clubs.

10 Jan 2016 18:08:51
Armstrong is not for sale or is he available, he is on loan at Coventry City and Newcastle want to keep him there till next season when he will be in there plans so not a chance, Spurs are looking at Iorfa and that is all I have heard.

10 Jan 2016 18:10:13
Highly doubt we'll get Adam Armstrong.

10 Jan 2016 18:21:57
From where? Not likely his loan was extended by Newcastle last week.

10 Jan 2016 19:58:08
Were trying to hijack the zach clough deal.

10 Jan 2016 20:12:36
As much as I like Zach Clough he was outstanding against us last January, we have ALF who I think is same type of player probably in my opinion better. Given time and play to ALF strengths this could be interesting.
If we played 4:4:2 I wonder how ALF and Bjorn would combine spinning of the shoulders of opposing CB, it's just a thought an many may disagree but it causes the opposition food for thought may not even allow the fullbacks to push up against us.
Any way I'm sure we all have a opinion, but we all want what's best and that's WWFC. UTW.

11 Jan 2016 08:03:23
We won't see that money it's morgan getting money before he leaves I reckon the club will be sold soon.

11 Jan 2016 08:40:59
we won't play 442 because our defence is inept.

10 Jan 2016 17:03:46
Confirmed by Sky Afobe signs for Bournemouth.

10 Jan 2016 13:55:06
Think a lot of points need to be addressed by the majority of wolves fans. First of all regarding Afobe, yes he will be a massive loss to the club and yes we shouldn't of sold him but he didn't want to go to Bournemouth simply as that. Saw them as a smaller club than Wolves and pleading to stay until another club came in, admits himself his attitude hasn't been right and 10 mill for him at this stage gives us a better deal than Bournemouth. Second of all, regarding jacket. He is the best manager we will get at the moment, his tactics have been wrong at times but his basis of what he's trying to implement is correct. He has stated he needs experience and only Morgan can allow him the funds to pay the wages of the likes of Williamson. Morgan has thrown the club under the bus simply as, look back at solbakkens summer transfer window spending millions on the likes of sako, Boukari and siggy, got to feel for KJ who has had nothing near that! And for Kevin thelwell he's done s absolute disgraceful job. Holt, sagbo, Danny graham, wallace to name a few have been the worse signings I've seen at the club apart from the like of frankhowski and that's saying something! Club from KJ upwards needs a complete re-vamp very soon, stick with KJ, get a new owner sack thelwell and supply him with the funds to get the club we love back where we should be.

10 Jan 2016 14:37:37
He couldn't wait to get out.
Personally think Bournemouth is a good move for the guy.
Think he has been poor this season, the system doesn't suit him to be fair.
He has suffered through the injury of Dicko, who is our biggest miss and had he stayed fit think he would also be PL bound.
The key is the re-investment of the Afobe money.
Jackett was guarded with his comments yesterday.
My gut feeling is he will get a max 5 million from Afobe sale, plus all the money from future sales.
He will have many targets for sure, getting them through the door maybe tougher.
Think the season is pretty much written off.
For once think we may be in for a busy window.
But then again we are wolves and we may see none.

10 Jan 2016 14:44:48
System was unfair on him but there's a reason nothing has been offically announced yet, when he moves he wants it to be on his terms, he's holding out for what he can get. All that being said it should be announced later today maybe even in the morning. Even if jacket has 5 million to spend that won't get him a fat lot, best we can hope is a loan from a premier league club for a striker on 60k a week and use the money to pay his wages; and we all know that won't be happening.

10 Jan 2016 14:50:54
Pretty fair summing up Realist but you have missed a big point .
What happens when the Moxey consortium take over will the money still be available or go in Moxey's pocket?

10 Jan 2016 16:47:20
There will be no takeover in the foreseeable future.
I f Moxey is part of a consortium he will want the strongest possible squad anyway.
Don't see your point.

10 Jan 2016 16:57:14
The only persons pocket it can go in is Morgans. We were always going to be a stepping stone for afobe. With offers of around ten million and no money from morgan to buy players, he was always going to be sold. I look at it this way, if arsenal thought he couldn't cut it in the prem and sold him for 2 million, then getting 9 million a year on is good business. It not like he's in the same class as Robbie Keane, when he was here. Good luck to him, just hope if some of the money is given, then it is spent wisely.

10 Jan 2016 17:32:57
My point is simple look at what Moxey has done here since he came in 2000, who else has been here longer on $500k and drives a Porsche with the awful management of the club
Who brought Morgan in? He did so he could keep milking us.

10 Jan 2016 19:28:21
Moxey has he's advantages and disadvantages, a removal of him could go good or bad, risk people above us would have to take. Morgan is useless, and thelwell even worse. Grabban's contract is up at the end of next season and Norwich would surely let him go for 3/ 4 mill, also the loan signing of Armstrong or a fit again bjorn would suit grabban very well.

11 Jan 2016 07:56:50
I have watched the Wolves for 60 years went to my first game when 4, I have been through the good and the Bad so feel entitled to view my points on the club :Wolvesnorthbank you are completely wrong : Afobe wanted to go - his words : He wanted to go in the summer also wants premiership football and salary : Afobe say nothing Wolves could do to keep him : So not the Clubs fault : Moxey has the run the club as a professional Business no debt and in a good position to attract a buyer : Morgan has not done much wrong except for a couple of poor appointments as Manager and not sufficiently spending In the summer, believe he was ready to sell then : Morgan stated his intention to sell and to keep Wolves running however no money available for transfers : So Afobe money needed to improve playing squad. The club will be sold in the next few months : Players will now come in : not Williamson I hope he wants excessive wages and a 3 year deal and is 32 ( remember Johnson/ O'Hara) we cannot go that way again : We can only hope the players brought in improve the squad and lay a basis for the new owner to start with : We nned to get behind the team, and show our love for the club, not keep moaning were not spending millions : We will have nrew owners and as our motto says Out of Darkness Cometh Light : PS impressed with Siggy and Zyro.

11 Jan 2016 08:34:19
Great post Pete.

Finally someone talking some sense.

11 Jan 2016 08:52:38
sedgley I agree with a lot of what you say and moxey as run the club as a business but he has had to much interference with the playing side of things, unfortunately for us this is were all the problems start he should be allowed no input into the playing side of things, also he is an attention seeking spoilt brat who thinks the sun shines out of his own fat backside the worst appointment we have ever made as a club.

11 Jan 2016 09:17:25
Spot on Pete at last the voice of reason on here. As I said yesterday good riddance to Afobe another badge kisser only out for himself. He wanted out 6 months after we signed him so let's move on, we will be here long after any player. Also think Dicko is much better anyway as he can play numerous systems and not just when 2 others do all the work for you like last season. Proved this season he is nothing special on his own. Anyway not too keen on Clough as not prolific and as someone said a lot like Alf. We need an out and out striker to put the ball in the back of the net although Crouch is a great shout if true. Big target man for wingers to supply. Unsure about Williamson now as I wouldn't pay stupid wages to a 32 year old so look elsewhere as been there done that. Finally guys I understand the negativity but please don't relay it onto the pitch but get behind whoever is playing and leave the protests or whatever for after match. Wolves aye we! COYW.

10 Jan 2016 12:24:53
Looks like Sigudarson hopes to be back in a few days which is good news. Posted by him on social media.

10 Jan 2016 13:14:56
best news we have had in months, hope he comes back and proves just how good he is, fans love him and now he can pay that faith back!

10 Jan 2016 13:28:56
Agbolahor and Washington in.
Expect a bid for Iorfa,
Been tracked by several PL clubs.

10 Jan 2016 13:38:05
Interesting Realist, I think u know a lot more than most on here?

10 Jan 2016 13:48:58
Siggy will replace Afobe and the realist is right expect a bid for Iorfa.

10 Jan 2016 13:58:10
I am pleased and relieved for Siggy.

However a big dark cloud is looming Wolves fans e very dark cloud.

10 Jan 2016 14:47:13
Bostin news about Bjorn, I think he was not given enough time as a central striker and could fill the void left by Benik, still need renforcements UTW.

10 Jan 2016 14:48:27
Not a chance on iorfa kid only just signed a new 3 year and half deal which will keep him through this window and most likely summer.

10 Jan 2016 14:58:03
A contract only protects the club of him walking away for nothing and increases the sale value.
All I said is expect a bid, if we choose to sell is up to erm . Steve Morgan.

Taxi for Iorfaaaaaaa.

10 Jan 2016 14:51:40
In the shape of the Moxey consortium to buy Wolves.

10 Jan 2016 16:09:00
Washington
Agbonlahor
Williamson
Moxey

If we got these 4 in ASAP then I think we would be in for a good 2nd half of the season.

10 Jan 2016 20:52:50
I will take 3 of them Dot one of them will be expensive and can't get into a side that's defo going down.

10 Jan 2016 09:34:17
Not a bad result or performance yesterday considering we did not expect anything. Disappointed about Afobe selling cause he did know where the net is but Morgan only cares about his high price tag. The quicker he goes the better no interest in team get a owner to invest in the team and push us further.

10 Jan 2016 09:52:19
Zach cough to Bristol city we can't even compete with them now, we will end up with 250 K forward from nowhere,9 million for adobe and we will get 1 million at most for players, what a joke, the two m's go know you are killing this club.

10 Jan 2016 10:52:46
Adobe pmsl.

10 Jan 2016 13:09:44
Soz afobe it's my spelling is terrible, here's some more bad spelling moxey and Morgan are TWITS I think that's how you spell it.

10 Jan 2016 09:26:30
Wolves want to step up there interest for 3m rated Conor Washington.

10 Jan 2016 12:04:44
That is half again that we are supposed to have paid for Afobe. Is he that good?

10 Jan 2016 12:29:33
Washington is great- as being local to Peterborough I've seen him play quite a bit, he'd suit our play style! Fast, Strong and Knows how to finish- I guess you could say like afobe, but I'd say he's more skilful with the ball, and very very agile!

10 Jan 2016 17:39:57
I've not seen a lot of Washington so I will reserve judgment till I've researched but if he's that good how come Bournemouth have paid 10 million for Afobe, and not 3 million for Washington? Just a thought.

10 Jan 2016 00:47:43
French press saying we made bid for senagalease defender cheikh m'bengue who is a LBZ he 28 snd esd signed from toulouse gor €2m but running his contract down he playef for france (u21) now senagale french press seem certain we in for him is he stearman replacement I wonder.

10 Jan 2016 08:39:24
He's a LB. He'll be replacing Golbourne.

10 Jan 2016 09:11:41
We don't need a new left back! We need a centre half with pace and two strikers!

10 Jan 2016 09:39:47
We do need a left back. We only have Golbourne. Doherty is filling in but he isn't a left back.

10 Jan 2016 09:50:44
Yeh obviously JACKETT isn't a fan of Scotty or he wouldn't be playin an average right back in his position! Also were losin the best striker at the club because Afobe is pi--ed off with playin a role he didn't come to do and bein left so isolated! Sooner the takeover happens the better and JACKETT is shown the door! Good luck Benik.

10 Jan 2016 10:01:47
With the 10 million from Afobe, we need to spend 6 million on 2 strikers and 4 million to spend on a centre back and a left back. Preferably the centre back being Mike Williamson.

10 Jan 2016 12:26:55
Wolvesbrain, You do realise we won't get 10m? Reported that Arsenal had a clause in the contract as to gain money from our sale, so we'll lose money there- and M pocketing some of the money so realistically we'll have 6m at most.

{Ed001's Note - there is a fee for the FA (I think it is 5% but I could be wrong) plus 5% is split between any clubs that he was developed at through the academy system. There are other fees to be paid as well.}
