Why do people think a new manager and a couple of signings will see us promoted? Still won't have a squad brimming with premier league quality like Newcastle or a stable club like Brighton. There will be at least eight clubs with bigger stadiums and more support than we have, consolidation is best we can hope for next season.

28 Mar 2017 10:59:35
How many of them clubs are more rich . money talks. and money buys better players.

28 Mar 2017 16:27:35
Agree Wednesfield wolf what you say, we have the money 4th or 5th richest club, and we gave Newcastle good close games, Brighton only beat us 1-0 and they have to come to molineux were we are due a good game, if they were that good they should of beat we a lot more the season we have had, joking apart if we had performed at molineux we would of been close to playoffs and who nows because dare I say it we have hit some form at the right time, but molineux is our big concern, hope Lambert sorts it out from now till end of season.

26 Mar 2017 11:02:41
I don't understand all the talk of Lambert getting sacked? We all knew it was going to be a struggle this year as the closer it got to the start of the new campaign without a takeover being finalised.

he's had 4 months in charge and we are already talking about sacking him? I understand the position is not where we want it to be but you can't expect to change ownership, change players, change staff etc and try a different brand of football and do it all within 9 months and get promoted?

We have the biggest squad in the league so its no surprise Lambert has took longer than most to figure out his best 11. he's proved with Norwich he can get you promoted playing high pressing and attacking football and even went to the Prem playing that sort of football and in doing so was close to the Liverpool Job before Bredon Rodgers was appointed. He managed to keep up Villa with a shoestring budget and probably the worst squad in the league as we all saw.

I can't see why people like paul tamworth want him to get sacked and then only to attract a manager with the same CV. If you follow in the footsteps of Cardiff (ole gunnar solskjaer) Or Birmingham (Zola) just to get a bigger name youll end up doing exactly what they both done or are doing. I understand in the prem if you go out and spend the sort of money man city and teams like that do then you probably will need a bigger manager to attract the bigger players but we aren't there.

Lambert has had one transfer window to bring in his own players but was limited due to the size of the squad he inherited. The 2 signings he did make seem to get better the more times they play and look great value for money.

I honestly think given a full pre season and to shift out the deadwood and sign 4 quality players as he plans to in the summer. Then we have a great chance of promotion next season. Lambert has showed in the past he can work with "difficult owners" so I have no doubt he would be able to work with mendes or thelwell in recruiting new players.

26 Mar 2017 11:27:23
We wouldn't of gained promotion with Jackett we wouldn't of gained promotion with Zenga and imo we won't get promoted with Lambert. We need a change all through the club and especially the manager, back room staff and players, their all to cosy. The management and squad are no where near good enough to gain promotion, hopefully Fosun realise this after this dire first season for them.

26 Mar 2017 12:00:58
I agree with zenga but as for jackett I think its debatable, you can't take anything away what he did for us. He bought through a lot of young players and managed to keep sako in league 1 and managed to get us an instant promotion to the championship at a time where we probably the lowest we've been for decades. Then his first season in championship missed out on play-offs with the highest point total there has ever been. The following season he lost afobe (sold) sako (free) and dicko through injury (43 goals the previous season they scored) and was told the club was up for sale bringing uncertainty around the club. So I think jackett is debatebale mate.

& as for Lambert I think its unfair to not give him time when he's proved in the past he can play attacking football and get promoted from championship and play the same way in the prem. If you have gone to the games this season you would see we aren't far away from being at the other end of the table. he's had 4 months in charge and we are looking like a team where things are starting to click. We are finding out our best 11 and starting to play football like he promised and then you want him to get sacked and start all over again?

And as for dire season I don't think you can blame that all on Lambert? Before Lambert was appointed we had already sacked 2 managers and bought in 14 new players mostly foreign and was leaking in goals within the first 15 mins of a game and had the worst home form in the divison and 1 point off relegation. he's got 6 home games now to put it right. You have to have patience.

26 Mar 2017 12:24:31
Lambert is part of this dire season and why didn't we buy a 20 goal striker in January? This seasons over, just have to make sure we're not relegated. How exciting hey? )

26 Mar 2017 12:53:26
We didn't buy a 20 goal a season player in January because either none were available or they were overpriced. Let's not go on about Sam Win all being available because since he's moved to Sheffield Wednesday, he's hardly set the world on fire. Neither has Jordan Rhodes. We can't say money is no object either. Would you pay £50k for a car that's valued at £10k? It's the same in football.

Paul Tamworth, what you need to do is write to the club directly and detail exactly what they should do to improve the fortunes of the club whilst avoiding making a loss. Hopefully they will consider your views and welcome you onto the board and then you can run the club and make the changes required as you see fit.

26 Mar 2017 13:02:28
I may just do that Jas, that's probably the best comment you've ever put on this board )

26 Mar 2017 13:05:08
PT seems to want to change everything, never able to allow for some stability and is delusional if he thinks we can attract the high level staff and players in our current position. Always calling for a change of manager, backroom staff etc. without a view that further change will bring further disruption and possibly further decline.

26 Mar 2017 13:29:46
Or SUCCESS?

26 Mar 2017 13:52:31
PT, if we were to remain unbeaten for the rest of this season winning 9 of our remaining games and drawing the others, over the summer, PL recruited 4 maybe 5 experienced players, would you still want him out?

26 Mar 2017 14:53:54
do not gang up on paul tamworth he is just letting his inner child out. I see his point about letting paul lambert go however I see the point about patience and having stability.
just ask yourself this question what is the true definition of being a football supporter? is it to abuse someone with your views or is it to offer alternative ideas without saying a swear word every single other word. let's all calm down and respect each others view. the only thing that we all can agree on we have a passionate fan bunch of fans.

26 Mar 2017 14:56:32
I tend to ignore what paul tamworth puts most of the time. Let's not forget this is the same person after the fulham game and how well we played. Instead of posting positive things about the team and how great the result was. He decided to post that we were being linked to Oscar Garcia or Paulo Sousa as future bosses and be happy about it? and none of the above had any sucess in the division. Paul u want instant sucess and change the style of play? I bet you couldn't name me 5 foreign managers who have all been appointed in the championship and got promoted within there first season? Saying that I bet you would struggle to name me 5 managers who have even got promoted within there first season?

26 Mar 2017 17:30:04
Well we changed Mick, OConnor, Solbakken, Jacket, Zenga and have not had a sniff of SUCCESS!

26 Mar 2017 19:38:45
Gee Wolf I haven't swore at paul tamworth. It's not me who types in capitals or puts! It's not me who brings negativity. I'm just sayin we should have patience with lambert and not chop and change managers all the time. I haven't disagreed with having a bigger manager to attract players when we are in prem if you are going to spend stupid amounts of money. I'm not against a foreign manager in the championship either. However, which ever manager a club has they have to give him time, especially in the championship. To me to want to change lambert now when things are going well and he has the team playing how he promised and given his history of getting out of this division and managing in the prem, to me is stupid. Why be so negative when there is buzz at the minute? We gave mick 2 and half years to get us promoted and now people go on about sacking lambert after 4 months without even having a pre season or a summer transfer window? What's the difference?

26 Mar 2017 21:56:13
PT you will not be happy till wolves win the premier league and you will still moan tht we should have won more games if you change everything at once you aren't gona achieve much one step at a time mate trust PL UTW.

27 Mar 2017 09:07:57
I've got to be honest after the Rotherham game they could of sack PL there and then and I wouldn't of been at all bothered. That game was one of the worst performance I've seen from a wolves side for a very long time but now after 2 great away wins things are looking up. I only hope now they can take this form into Saturdays match there can be no more excuses about playing at home if PL wants to win over the wolves faithful and keep his job then not only does he need to win home matches but he needs to entertain as well and start sending the fans home happy. UTW.

27 Mar 2017 10:20:40
A lot of Wolves fans on here accept mediocracy, u r 100% correct 1877stlukes👍.

27 Mar 2017 11:24:09
mediocracy? No paul we just don't expect miracles mate. We all want sucess and get promotion but u have to look at the circumstances of when he's taken over us. We couldn't buy a win we had a huge influx of foreign players come in to the squad. Lambert has come in and steadied the ship. Sometimes the football hasn't been pretty I agree Rotherham was terrible but it was all about the win and it's proved right because since that win we have gone on to win 2 vital away games playing well in both. I just don't understand your timing of being negative when we have just won 3 games on the bounce?

27 Mar 2017 12:10:57
Those 3 wins are paperin over the cracks! Have u looked at our league position? Have u forgotten about no points in February. This season has been dire and Lambert has been here long enough to shoulder some of the blame. U have your opinion and il have mine.

27 Mar 2017 12:42:22
I think people are being a bit hard on Walter Zenger a lot of people are calling for PL to get more time to build is own team but where was Zenger's time? This man came into a job that was never going to be his we all no that the job was always going be Julen Lopetegui before he took the Spain job. Zenger came in and wouldn't of known any of the players wouldn't of watch any games properly didn't known where Wolverhampton was but he was told to take a squad of 20 players plus 11 new foreign players and make a team with only 1 week of pre season left. So to everybody who's calling for time for PL to build a squad just take a look at how much time Zenger got these owners will not mess about PL needs to start winning and performing at home if he's to keep his job and if he doesn't then he'll be gone.

27 Mar 2017 13:00:46
Why don't you apply for job Paul you seem to know it all.

27 Mar 2017 13:23:16
I'm to busy Savin the Planet!

27 Mar 2017 18:59:19
I wonder if PT thought Antonio Conte should have been sacked by Chelsea last August after their dreadful start?

27 Mar 2017 19:42:13
Your on about Premier league Jas not bottom half of a mediocre championship! Paul Lambert will not get us promoted nor the rest of the back room staff. Big clear out needed and I hope Fosun do this. I'm retiring from this board till they do as I'm wasting my time replying to happy clappers. Gee wolf take care mate and wish u your mum and family all the very best.

27 Mar 2017 21:22:25
Retiring again Paul?

27 Mar 2017 21:22:52
I don't no y people won't to get promoted in one season I would rather build a good team over 2 season ie Brighton good team with no over the odds players.

27 Mar 2017 21:23:03
Conte was brought into Chelsea to win the title. At the end of August they looked a poor side. Lambert was brought into Wolves first and foremost to save us from relegation which in the space of the last 3 games has more or less done. Both managers were brought into their respective clubs to do different things. MY point is Chelsea stuck with Conte during the bad spell and are now reaping the rewards.

28 Mar 2017 07:49:22
Jas M Paul Lambert wasn't brought into the club to keep us up when he took charge wolves were only 6pts of the playoff and 6pts of the drop zone. Fosun brought him in to try make the playoff now i'm not blaming him for everything that's gone wrong this season but come on mate he's no messiah he's just a decent championship manager who hasn't set the world on fire and like Paul Tamworth said 2 games don't make a season.

28 Mar 2017 10:13:14
I'm not saying Lambert is the messiah but what would changing the manager at the end of the season achieve considering PL hasn't been able to mould the squad as he wants. Any new manager will want to make changes too so we stand to gain nothing. If Lambert is failing at Christmas he'll have no excuse as he has had enough time to exert his influence and ideas onto the squad and bring in some if his players. Each manager needs at least 2 transfer windows. We get rid of PL we're back to square one. The last two times we stuck with a manager for more than a season look what happened, MM and KJ both stabilised the club and we got promoted.

28 Mar 2017 10:14:54
Why would the board sack a manager if we were only 6 points of the play offs in November? It was because we were sliding down the table. PL was brought in to steady the ship.

28 Mar 2017 10:24:47
Also I think no wins in 7 matches when we lost 5 and drew 2 may have played a part in Zenga's sacking.

28 Mar 2017 10:38:36
1877 you have your facts wrong mate we were 12 points away from playoffs check it out. Who are you really thinking we are going to attract? Paul lambert is just getting it right as I've said he took over at a bad time for us and he has steadied the ship. It's been 4 months. Many teams in the top of the table have had time to build. sheff wed, Fulham, Huddersfield, brighton.

28 Mar 2017 11:57:17
Guys can you show me where I said I wanted lambert gone please? What I am saying is that fosun didn't bring in a new manager in to fight a relegation battle when they've spent 13m and there's 30 games to go and 90pts up for grabs they clearly made the change to try and save their promotion hopes. I agree and have said it before a manager needs 3 transfer windows to build his own team but this lot will not be that patient lambert needs to win home games big time if he's to win the wolves fans and keep his job. Also hasn't PL just come off the back of 6 loses and 1 draw look guys i'm not disagreeing with every thing your saying but ask yourself this I bet Paul lambert thought he could make the playoffs when he took the job let's face it he said just before the blues match that a win here and we could make the playoffs.

28 Mar 2017 13:29:14
1877 I couldn't see us having promotion this season mate and would of been a push to make play offs. Regardless of how much we have spent. Derby, sheff wed, Fulham, Leeds have all spent big for how long now and only just seeing the benefits apart from derby. When u takeover a club a week before the season starts and sack your manager and bring in a foreign manager who has never managed in English football before without no pre season and then sign 14 players in the space of 2/ 3 weeks most of which haven't played English football either.

You can't expect to click your fingers and suddenly be winning every week and the whole team playing to a system. It takes time. Reading thought they were right to get rid of Brendan Rodgers after 3/ 4 months. I agree lambert will need to win home games to keep his job and carry on with good form until the end of season because your right fosun will not mess about.

However my point was why be negative when things are going well? Just because we have rich owners doesn't mean we are in a position of power like chelsea or man city who can attract huge players and pay high wages without the consequences. At the end of the day we are in championship and governed by FFP so we will always be limited to what we can spend and now it will get even harder now our parachute payments have ended. So why get rid of another manager when you have just stuck by him through his worst patch? Qpr also had the richest owners in the country and decided to get rid of how many managers? What division they in again?

28 Mar 2017 14:07:37
Agree DTM but I'm being negative I would love nothing more than PL to get things right.

What I was pointing out was that fosun didn't bring lambert in to fight a relegation battle like Jas M said there was plenty of time and enough points on offer to win the league never mind make the playoffs.

Now i'm not saying that he should of won the league or made the playoffs but I think we'd all agree it shouldn't of been a relegation battle.

Whether he stays or goes one thing is for sure were not safe yet and we all need to get behind him and the boys on Saturday. UTW.

28 Mar 2017 16:36:02
1877stlukes. I never said PL was brought into to guide us in a relegation battle. I said he was brought in as Zenga had lost 5 of the previous 7 games and we were fast being dragged down the table. I said PL was. brought in to steady the ship ready for next season.

28 Mar 2017 21:44:17
27 Mar 2017 21:23:03
Conte was brought into Chelsea to win the title. At the end of August they looked a poor side. Both managers were brought into their respective clubs to do different things. MY point is Chelsea stuck with Conte during the bad spell and are now reaping the rewards. This what you put Jas M if I've read it wrong then I apologise.

26 Mar 2017 09:18:40
Don't know what league we'll be in. Don't know who the manager will be. Don't know who the players will be. Don't know much really do we? Buy season ticket - sell Costa - sell Cav - back to square one - few new players taking time to settle. sound familiar?

24 Mar 2017 15:37:40
someone on molmix thinks we have intelligence but I might not say the same about them. we love you Stefanwolves you are a genius. jonzy24 is the oracle off Benidorm.
our paul tamworth is septic peg.
I have big feeling that something amazing is about to happen at Molineux.
(editor) do you know if club watches this forum?

{Ed001's Note - not sure about Wolves, most clubs do have forums monitored though, so I would assume Wolves do.}

23 Mar 2017 08:41:57
Could 2018 be the year we find a 20+ a season goal scorer?
The Russia 2018 mascot is a wolf, it's name is 'Zabivaka' which means 'the one who scores'.
A few people have already mentioned Tammy Abraham. How about a cheeky loan bid for Danny Ings?
If on the other hand we regularly play a 424 attacking formation and the goals are spread throughout the team then all will be well.

23 Mar 2017 22:27:43
Abraham I'd certainly agree with if we can get him. Danny Ings is still out with a serious knee injury. It's not certain whether he'll be back for pre-season. I think we have enough players coming back from similar injuries so I don't think Ings would be a good move at this point.

23 Mar 2017 08:24:52
How about an Ivan Cavaleiro chant to the tune of Jona Lewie's "Stop The Cavalry".

Oh you say it's tough, have you had enough
Can you stop the Cavaleiro?

23 Mar 2017 17:36:03
Nurse, he's out of bed again!

23 Mar 2017 18:19:02
brilliant.

24 Mar 2017 08:26:21
Ha ha out of bed again.

Oh he scores again, Ivan is his name
Can you stop the Cavalerio?

Dub-a dub-a dum-dum
Dub-a dub-a dum
Dub-a dum dum dub-a dub
Dub-a dub-a dum.

23 Mar 2017 06:13:25
Was it fans parliament last night?
If so did anyone go?
Anything interesting or the usual rubbish?

24 Mar 2017 21:59:36
Batth for England - next friendly. Most under-rated player at Molineux.

22 Mar 2017 09:07:05

22 Mar 2017 11:15:05
Wolves Have? Sacked Lambert? Sacked the Board? Sacked Thellwell? Gone into Liquidation? Any clues?

22 Mar 2017 14:33:25
(a) Signed Suarez
(b) Bought West Brom and with it a place in the Premier
(c) Permission to convert the Molineux to a covered 50,000 all-seater stadium.
(d) Said the current team has potential to get promoted next season under Paul Lambert.

You choose.

22 Mar 2017 14:48:29
Omelettes for breakfast?

22 Mar 2017 15:37:33
Wolves have approached Paul Tamworth for role as manager :P.

22 Mar 2017 17:24:17
I'd do it for free!

22 Mar 2017 19:37:33
PT. you'd have to sack yourself after 6 months though!

22 Mar 2017 19:43:46
wolves have announced paul tamworth is too sexy to be a wolves manager and also he has a face like a lion and fangs like a wolf.

22 Mar 2017 20:23:14
Lol, too sexy 😍. If I went a full month without getting one point i'd walk away! Lambert = February = no points? Anyway I won't keep on you know my thoughts on our gaffer. Summer can't come soon enough 👍.

23 Mar 2017 10:11:04
@Ajwolf very funny!

19 Mar 2017 11:51:07
What do fans think of tammy Abraham, charlie austin, jagielka, george freind as signings?

19 Mar 2017 13:14:14
Tammy Abraham everything for me.

19 Mar 2017 17:28:08
Tammy scores lots of goals I am sure he won't be at Bristol City next season.

19 Mar 2017 17:10:37
Austin - dream on i think tbh
But the rest yes.

19 Mar 2017 23:31:30
Don't Chelsea own Abraham? Might be able get him on loan for season.

20 Mar 2017 10:07:20
Chelsea has something like 40 players out on loan so it would be no surprise.

19 Mar 2017 07:57:02
I see were linked with Oscar Garcia or Paulo Sousa as our next boss. 👍 Ex Brighton and Swansea gaffers. Change is comin! Well done Fosun Your fishin in the right pool 👍.

19 Mar 2017 08:16:36
sousa was a poor choice here in swansea not many keen on his record,

19 Mar 2017 11:23:28
Neither fill me with any optimism.

19 Mar 2017 12:02:16
If Mr Lambert had just took 10 points from 4 games (3 away) managing another club you'd all want him at Wolves. Time to back off and let the man do the job.

19 Mar 2017 13:26:02
Yep let's get behind Lambert and the team, let's face it the results in this league are bonkers.

19 Mar 2017 18:36:13
Yep, let's all get behind the team and PL. he's got till the end of the season I suspect, then the cards will be dealt! Imagine your in a job and constantly reading about people who may replace you. We need some respect and leave all that until and if it happens, we all get frustrated from time to time. None of us would like to see all that crap going on would we, if we were in the same position?! So some space and backing for them is what they need. ⚽️👍😉.
