It's true McDonald is of to Fulham it says on the express and star website.

09 Jul 2016 23:22:57
Listen up folks, this takeover hasn't happened yet so keep your shirts on.

09 Jul 2016 22:59:07
To offer a balanced view on thelwell, since becoming dof in Dec 13, and working within a budget, we have signed :-
Afobe aprox 7m profit.
Dicko good value
Zyro jury still out but looked half decent.
Graham looked quality.
Henry decent at this level.
Wallace one for future who looked half decent after loan at millwall.
Hause possibly our best asset if continues to improve.

10 Jul 2016 01:46:37
Agreed that doesn't look half bad. let's see the other side of this argument?

10 Jul 2016 09:16:21
Pagewolf it's all very well showing the good side now show that not so good side. He needs to go.

10 Jul 2016 12:19:03
I'm not trying to say the blokes a genius but the only major permanent signing he has overseen, who has not made a contribution is Clarke.

Fit and Proper test.

I have not posted before but have been following the current takeover rumour ever since it was first leaked by the Spanish Press concerned about their new national manager.

The current belief is that the new ownership papers are now with the Football league who will duly carry out their fit and proper test for all directors and owners.

This currently has the following conditions 'The Test

One aspect which applies across all the different above bodies is that the fit and proper test must be passed by all directors of a football club and any owners who own a share of 30% or more.

Elements of the Test

There may be slight differences in the tests adopted by the different governing bodies; however, all fit and proper tests include the following elements:

Individuals will be disqualified from acting as directors or becoming an owner if they:

Are prohibited by law from being a director

Are involved or have the power to be involved in another football club

Have unspent criminal convictions

Are bankrupt

Have incurred administration twice as a director of the same or different football clubs'

the one clause 'Are involved or have the power to be involved in another football club' makes me wonder if Robin Li would be banned from owning Wolves if indeed he has been involved in purchasing Milan AC. It worries me.

What are other peoples views?

09 Jul 2016 22:03:18
People thanks for the above information but it's wrong in one respect you cannot be involved or fit to be involved in another FOOTBALL "LEAGUE" Club. All foreign owned interests do not apply to the English football league

Hope that clears up a lot of confusion guys but just to make sure 100% mr Li's involvement in AC Milan will not effect the football leagues fit and proper test.

09 Jul 2016 23:19:20
Thanks for your reply Monswolf.
The football league has no powers over the prem. Does that mean that an owner can be involved in both a premier league club and a chammpionship club. The wording 'Are involved or have the power to be involved in another football club' is a little imprecise.

09 Jul 2016 23:56:41
If owning 2 clubs was a problem they wouldn't even waste their time handing in the paperwork to the Fa.

10 Jul 2016 10:50:29
Depends on where you gathering the info from some sources say involved in another club, but the precise wording is football league club. Our fit and proper tests have no bearing on any over seas leagues just as our laws have no bearing in other countries

Football league pertains to both premier league and football leagues.

10 Jul 2016 11:44:51
When you have the legal team li has called in do you really think that this paperwork is going to be an issue, fasten your seat belts, buy your season tickets get prepared to get behind our team and let's see where it takes us.
Wolves till I die onwards and upwards let the good times roll.

09 Jul 2016 20:57:08
Appreciate I'll probably get some daft answers. this site can be so unreliable. But anyone ITK have any ideas what will happen to the backroom staff if the takeover goes ahead? Obviously Gallen will go with Ken but what about the likes of Edwards, Mountain, Tony Daley etc will they be gone too?

09 Jul 2016 21:18:32
From what I have seen in Spain prepare to see a Spanish influence throughout. I hope Edwards stays personally not stressed about the rest tbh. No names apart from Arevelo goal keeping coach may be on the radar as worked at Porto.

09 Jul 2016 22:32:27
I think the majority will be gone, and still can not believe the irony of Daley becoming fitness coach.

09 Jul 2016 19:37:51
I can see moxey staying but Thelwall will be gone say by to the Irish scouting and snatching players from rushall olimpic the world is our oyster come on me babbies.

09 Jul 2016 21:28:30
Moxey to stay but will have his wings clipped conciderably and Therwell defo out on his backside. He could'nt spot a decent piece of talent in a month of Sundays his record precides him.

09 Jul 2016 19:03:23
Tohnwwwfc1
Juan Carlos Arevalo is the guy and since you posted he has also started following MoliMix.

09 Jul 2016 16:56:37
I am sure that certain players have been lined up by the incoming regime, confidentiality agreements prevent any publicity but the worlds No 1 agent is involved so preparation will have been going on, expect some high quality players arriving before the start of the season. Well we live in hope UTW.

09 Jul 2016 18:39:09
With Jorge Mendez being involved with the negotiations I believe you are correct. Don't be too aghast if Moxey stays and Thelwell given a final chance too to prove himself. next week.

09 Jul 2016 19:15:48
i think moxey might be kept on for a while'though i'm hoping i'm wrong, but as for thelwell'i just can't see it.

09 Jul 2016 19:17:05
A Fit and Proper Ownership Test, as defined by the FA and FL could take up to 14 days from the date of submission.

09 Jul 2016 19:47:27
Premier league yes but Chamionship a shorter time as it not the ruling body for Chamionship.

Structure of English Football

The structure of English football is as follows:

The Football Association Premier League governs the Barclays Premier League

The Football League governs the Coca Cola Championship, League One and League Two

The Football Association governs the Blue Square Premier League and the lower leagues

The FA Premier League, the Football League and the FA all have different versions of the fit and proper test due to the FA Premier League strengthening theirs while the others did not.

09 Jul 2016 19:48:56
It could go to the wire with FA/ FL rubber-stamping. So what if it's two weeks, the transfer targets are probably already in place. I'd rather wait two weeks for Robin Li than have Morgan continue as owner.

09 Jul 2016 20:01:11
The NDA's will have a closure date so will be interesting!
I would expect the announcement will be in HK before UK, his investment will have cost him 10%, less if it was lodged prior to brexit.
Acquisition will be in the jurisdiction of English Law.

09 Jul 2016 20:13:25
P. s . purchasers will have had an exchange rate mechanism built in to SPA.

09 Jul 2016 20:17:45
Oxleymoorwolf
Perhaps your information is slightly out of date particularly as you refer to the Coca Cola Championship which I don't believe has existed for a good 5-6 years.

09 Jul 2016 20:27:46
Coca Cola is merely a Sponsorship name, the Championship is well . the Championship which has had will continue to have different sponsors.
My post is from current FA and FL legislation.

09 Jul 2016 21:24:17
he has to go through fit and proper test with premier league when we get promoted. I wonder if we will see the Chinese media when he is unveiled. mind you it could be a she?

10 Jul 2016 00:30:25
How long did Aston Villa take to get it rubber stamped and right the way through (which I guess would be necessary as they're in receipt of big Prem parachutes) ? I bet not long.

The thing is with any English Institution, if it's about people with big money and status stuff moves fast, their solicitors move it multi channel if necessary so sign offs are simultaneous rather than queued and everyone is as accommodating and on it as possible. Robin Li appears to have perfect credentials, it means investment in the Country, they're flash people who our people would like to impress and be on best terms with, I reckon if the paperwork is submitted and seems so, it will be fast.

I'd guess especially because they can argue to Authorities that right now they know where they stand with exchange rate but it's volatile, need to close deal asap as if over a week or 2 exchange rate changes significantly could threaten deal.

09 Jul 2016 14:19:39
Wolves fin 2-2 against Shrewsbury.

09 Jul 2016 14:17:44
Hope the deal gets done sooner rather than later. one fit striker for pre season friendlies, I think we will need at least two decent strikers, two defenders and a holding midfielder with pace.

09 Jul 2016 18:36:18
We need 6 or 7 quality signings.

09 Jul 2016 13:05:56
No its not what guillem has said already lin.

09 Jul 2016 13:32:41
Already what Jim?

09 Jul 2016 13:59:30
Eh.?

09 Jul 2016 12:49:58
Jackett 6-8 today or monday. Easy to say goodbyes today. But wish him well.

09 Jul 2016 13:11:17
I don't understand wolf money?

09 Jul 2016 13:33:55
Dont worry lol. Just be easy to tell jackett today lol.

09 Jul 2016 12:15:52
Given the takeover is imminent I wonder if Steve Morgan will break his silence and tell us why he walked away and put the club up for sale.

09 Jul 2016 10:06:15
Its all still rumours guys. nothing is concrete yet. imagine if this does all fall through at the last minute because a lot of deals bigger than this have in the past. then how stupid will we look and where would that leave jacket! Imagine the boos in the ground first game if this doesn't happen.

09 Jul 2016 10:29:56
Williamson out for 4 weeks why the he'll did we buy this guy Newcastle must be laughing their heads off at us . never mind sacking the jackets who ever did his medical should be sacked as well. he will never play for us again when the take over happens he will be gone.

09 Jul 2016 11:22:03
Timtoo you really need to think positively you know, doesn't do you any good at all
Especially as there is another consortium not that far behind this one if it does fail so calm down will you.

09 Jul 2016 13:52:37
I'm with ya derby but if it doesn't get over the line or gets held up or even if someone else comes in times ticking and all the other clubs are buying quality players. as it stands say we've got one of the weakest squads in the league. do u really think we can wait till January. I fear it could be too late by then.

09 Jul 2016 15:32:33
We will be OK.

09 Jul 2016 09:45:59
Stating the obvious I know but you don't win football matches in the boardroom. Money helps but only if you get the right people in and knowing who they are is not as easy as it is in Premier League. Need to get a player with the ability to set the tone for the entire team, positive attitude, talent and work ethic. Could even afford this call without hoped for new money as he is available on a free. Leon Osman. Remember him starring in his England debut a couple of years ago. would come with glowing testimonial from every Everton fan. Just a thought!

09 Jul 2016 10:09:04
Van perse wants in england and drop wages. I don't think i'm the only one looking lol for ideas.

09 Jul 2016 07:30:20
You know what I love about all this takeover saga from the last few weeks! It's the faces of all the Albion fans getting slightly more worried by the day.
We're coming for you little birdies, the wolves are coming!

Parachute money? No need, we can make our own parachute out of 50 pound notes!

09 Jul 2016 08:00:03
Diamo1 forget the baggies are aims are far above that! Never been new Wembley and always said I'd only go with Wolves! Well that over time can be a real possibility👍 But remember success may not happen overnight but we are sure in with a great shout now! 👍👍👍.

09 Jul 2016 11:17:42
Apparently, Baggies might be being bought by the richest man in China who is worth £30 billion.

09 Jul 2016 11:28:14
Can I just add that I am not a Baggies fan jealous of the deal. I am Wolves through and through. Type in West Brom takeover and you'll see the article. I didn't realise until then that Birmingham are also on the verge of being bought. Apparently interest has increased due to the Brexit vote and the falling Pound against the dollar.

09 Jul 2016 12:31:18
Not bein funny mate, but who cares? We're Wolves and as long as we're sorted, F--k the rest! 👍.

09 Jul 2016 13:24:17
Look at the dates re the sH&£ rumours. Been rumours, on, off etc for ages. No corroboration of anything just speculation reignited 'cause of what's happening with us - which they fail to report until its forced down their throat.

09 Jul 2016 13:33:04
Quite agree Tamworth also the way things are at baggies they could get bought out by bill gates and would still be boring as hell to watch with that caveman in charge - we wolves we going take it steady n build team that will make us a player at top table again prob take while but we're going do it cause wolves ay we.

09 Jul 2016 06:12:46
here is money to spend I hope we have a management set up that brings in the righttype of player. When we have had money in the past it wasn't always spent in the most effective way. In the end it was only when we had no money that Mick started building a team to get us out of this division. It needs to be a real team not just a group of individuals. More of a Wales than a Belgium or England. More of a Leicester than a Newcastle or Villa. Could take a season or two to get it right. The players brought in to get us up may not be the players to keep us up and let's not forget the clubs we are competing with. But at least we may have a chance of really competing if this goes through.

09 Jul 2016 05:26:05
Been watching and wishing.
This is momentous, I have wanted the success of the fifties and the great teams we have had in the sixties, seventies not only for myself but for my dad and all the older Wolves fans who have been with them through thick and thin
Hallelujah.

09 Jul 2016 00:16:28
Hello, nice to meet you fellow wolves fans my name is Paul also from Tamworth. I am proper excited on the recent news, I have been following it like a hampster with his nuts. It all sounds so surreal, I so hope it is true or we are all going to luck like a right bunch of proper persons. I an waiting for someone to slap me round the face or stick a finger in my ear or eyes then burn my toes. Please this be real, please. Pleasssssse.

09 Jul 2016 01:08:08
All the doubters are becoming believers! This is beautiful. I think if we get taken over a few tears will be shed. WOLVES AYE WE!
