Just a thought of mine , Wolves won't sign anyone until Mick returns from Ireland.
Gibo.
he will buy some more paddy power while he is over there if they aint irish he aint interested :0)

Really ? Doyle is useless , Foley too.Ward never scored against Liverpool, Stephen Hunt scored the goal that KEPT us in the premier league.O'Hara at one time (it is on youtube) said that he wanted to play for Ireland.
Gibo.

Well who did score against Liverpool cause what I remember ward slipped it nicely under reina n in to the bottom corner n Doyle useless bet you wasn't sayin that when he was scorin important goals for us just sound so fickle

Eeeedjut, Gibo's takin the Mick..........Gezza

Yeah I was being a bit of a tool , I read it wrong , in my defence I had a drink on me.My apologies.
Gibo.

Pavlyuchenko scored the goal that kept us up not hunt.....

Think moxey is doing a brill job it's not a quick fix it's like building any good business it takes time just look back at the team mm inherited we struggled to get a team out

Agree

Why has some one replyed agree when the is a button for it?

08 Jul 2011 20:49:09
Moxey did state we would take our time on transfers this pre season and that we would possibly break our transfers record so let's give them a chance two cb and a left back job done

Every club has got it bad guy :ie sugar, bates, brady, .....moxey is ours i say get rid and good riddance. he's held us back long enough. {Ed003's Note - Are you really a Wolves fan? mmm?}

I think Moxey can bring us on myself as in slowly slowly method , do we want to become like Pompey , West Ham ? because Sunderland are heading down that road too.
Gibo.

There's a deal in place for Johnson & Dann to come to Wolves for around £15 million plus Berra & SEB.
The sticking point is getting the Wolves players to agree to the move.
Jackery Jones >>> Sylvan is going no-where

Dream on.

08 Jul 2011 19:00:11
Jarvis is worth nothing like 13.5
Mil

08 Jul 2011 18:58:16
United wouldn't even look at jarvis

08 Jul 2011 18:36:26
How do people think a defence of Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell etc will do any better next season than last. Collectively they were not good enough for premiership survival

An ageing & slow midfield plus a shot-shy attack meant the defence was overworked. And Dann was out injured for a large part of the season. Even so they didn't concede that many goals considering. They would definitely be an improvement on our back line.

Brums problem wasn't letting goals in. They struggled to score which is why they went down. Ridgewell & Johnson are a million miles better than Elokobi & Berra

That's what iv'e been saying all along f*ck the blue noses. they were not good enough last season so what makes you think they'll be any different this season. i would rather sick with what we have got and go down than sign ex brum players.

Elokobi is amazing
He tore apart man united both times when we played them Ridgewell i would buy purely as he's good for utility and can play in alot of different places, which will do us good

08 Jul 2011 17:47:55
Why do we go through this nonsense every close season. Let's face facts with Moxey in charge of the purse strings we ain't gonna bid sufficient to talk to anyone and if we do we ain't gonna pay em enough to come. Accept it no more signings and Elokobi to plug the hole in the middle

The most believable thing I've heard all summer

08 Jul 2011 17:45:13
Muppet no. 1 whoever thinks Ferguson would pay that for Jarvis.

Muppet no.2 Stating both Johnson and Dann coming to Molineux-Wolves will not pay the wages-Stoke are most likely to get Dann.

08 Jul 2011 17:19:48
Wolves only bid up to 3m for Mills which is what i would pay . Leicester bid against themselves up to 5m. LOL how clever . Well done Wolves quite right . I suspect the 3m, s aint stupid and allready have the deals done for their centre backs after releasing Mancienne and Moyokolo . Wait for Bassong and Johnson and Wallace and maybe Benayone. Get in , cmon me Babieessss.........Gezza

I doubt this , but I must admit I would love Benayoun at Molineux.

Wolves are already spinning now via Karl Henry that they are not going to spend big on anyone. From the board I understand that they expect Norwich/ Swansea to go down so are concentrating on finishing 4th bottom again.

You must be reading a different article to me Nowhere in the article does it say that they are not going to spend big. What the article does say is exactly what we know - that we are not going to waste money on overinflated prices and stupid wage demands.

To be fair, Norwich and Swansea would have to be favourites to go down and so it is only logical that we aim to be one of the clubs not in the remaining relegation spot come the last game of the season.

The sad facts are that to be financially prudent means that we will progress slowly. If that means another few years of relegation struggles but remaining in the Prem, then I am quite willing to live with that. The alternative is far less enticing. Just ask any Portsmouth fan - would they trade their FA Cup win for staying in the Prem and avoid being a laughing stock of a club?

The sad fact is also that whilst we like to think of Wolves as a massive club, we are not. The days of us being a massive club ended decades ago. Now we are just a decent club trying to regain a permanent foothold in the top division the right way. It will take many seasons before we will achieve the safety of being a consistent top ten club.

Ian

I also think qpr will go down there owners are made of money but don't spend it

QPR are a bit of an enigma at the moment - certainly got wealthy owners but judged by the players they are looking at, obviously don't want to spend anything much at all. Unless they look for better players than they seem to be aiming for, they would have to be reasonable bets to go down. That said, they could just as easily start splashing cash (Ecclestone's natural reluctance to do so notwithstanding) and sign a couple of good players who could keep them up.

how come every deal takes two weeks prefer it done today glad we missed out on mills bring lescott in plus johnson then we be in wast midtable and warnock as well

Love that but won't happen

08 Jul 2011 12:27:21
How about Wolves sell Doyle to Arsenal and take Robbie Keane from Tottenham as a replacement. Wouldnt mind seeing Joleon Lescott back at the Molineux either.

In what universe is Robbie Keane a 'replacement' for Kevin Doyle?

Let it go, will you...

Yep - Get over it

Robbie Keane is a has been and no longer fits the wolves profile. He's too busy looking in the mirror shooting his imaginery pistols. Pow Pow.

Sell Doyle to Arse'ole'nelyou having a laugh, bollox to wenger, as for all the chatter about Robbie, forget the has been, remember he was wanted here not too long ago and chose Celtic, so you know what knickers to him aswell, we are ok up front, get the defence sorted'maybe a battler in midfield and we will be mid table' no problem, sell Doyle' do me a favour

I personally think that there are very little forwards that could replace Doyle, even a £12mil price tag is underrating him. His work rate and natural striking ability is like no others. Selling Doyle would be a huge mistake. If him and Fletcher find a partnership, I can't see too many stronger forward forces. Robbie Keane is past it and I think people need to realise that new fowards ate not the prority. Respect the class of our current forwards and get behind our team

Take the money on Doyle he ain't worth anything like 12mil nor is jarvis gave season ticket up a year ago after 15 years it will never changel

Neither is torres worth 50 million but what price did chelsea pay for him ? so your point is what mate ?

08 Jul 2011 12:22:19
vaughan signs for sunderland sky sports news

08 Jul 2011 10:19:33
Once again wolves lose out on yet another good player with potential to a championship side a mid table championship side at that wake up moxey time too change your ways and spend that little bit extra to keep us in the promised land or we will be back in the micky mouse league

Learn to use a full stop, and stop crying.

Mills? Glad we missed out on him - and if the E & S is right LCFC have overpaid for him by outbidding themselves. By his actions alone, Mills would not fit our team ethos - in the end for all his rhetoric of "wanting to play in the Prem", he ends up moving to another Championship club for the money.

08 Jul 2011 09:39:12
Time to put things into perspective fellow Wolves fans, all in all, despite the lack of transfer activity so far in strenghening the deffence, im HAPPY with the way the club is run YES we have missed out on Mills (the player who ment to want to test himself in the prem but opted for the money instead), but id rather have a successfull business man in MORGAN owning the club then a foriegner who just throws money at it like the thai business man incharge of the foxes, we all know what's happend to last club who had a thai business man in charge of them throwing money around, and they got relegated an he's in trouble with "dodgy" dealings.... i mean just think what will happen to Man city or Chelski if these billionaires loose interest in there clubs, they will sink faster than the Titanic We've been there done that and didnt work when Sir Jack bless him tried throwing money about to get us up, and we've only found success when we did it the hard way and built a team being sensible with sticking to budgets and wage caps. Keep the faith fellow wolfies, i will strenghthen where we need but keep to our so far relatively success formular of not breaking the bank. We have a new stadium on the way & im my opinion have a stronger squad then any of the teams who have come up, if we survived last year in whats been called the strongest premiership in history then we will do it again this year.... in our own way, which is the best run club in the country KEEP THE FAITH MILLS WOLF :)

Some decent points, but to move up another level were gonna have to pay out a bit more, thats part and parcell of the game to get better quallity in.....No need to break the bank but a little ambition wouldnt go a miss... Plus theres a few good players out of contract we should of been in with a shout for, none of us want to be just making the numbers up and being in a relegation fight every year

08 Jul 2011 09:39:04
would settle for turner over mills anyway. but we need to start signing players and pay the prices

08 Jul 2011 06:08:25
Have faith Wolves fans this is the best team we have had for 30 years, going forward we are as good as any in mid table. A couple of good centre backs and a defensive midfielder and our attackers can express themselves. Mills no better than Stearman or Berra, Johnson class but 28 and a year left on his contract only worth 7 maybe 8 mil

This is the team that avoided relegation on the last day of the season by a knats knacker that youre talking about

McCarthy saying he's got a good squad........relegation.....relegation....relegation..

Totally agree 100%, finally another wolves fan on here who think with his head not his heart well done, mills wolf :)
