I think we are all now resigned to the fact we will be lucky to buy one maybe 2 new players. Forsun have probably thought that let's write this season off as a learning curb and get rid of the dead wood and wages off our books then rebuild for next season. Makes sense. I think best we can hope for this season is mid table with a possible cup run. here's to the 2017-2018 season

Comments lower down in this thread refer to liking or disliking players. All we need to know is that players are doing a good or great job for us! Liking or disliking is irrelevant as none of us have to like a particular player do we?
We don't actually know them as people do we? I think they all did a great job at stoke. Fantastic win and PL seems to be pissing in the right direction as well. Great job by everyone! Long may it continue. 👍😉

Stoke are premier league and costas goal was no different to what he has been doing in the championship. to keep the faith of wolves fans they should give benfica what they want which I would say around 15m .
I'm just going off what I know and the rest of us of been told which is were a billionare club and to spend that money on a player that has already settled in after year 15m is a no brainer

As usual Wednesfield you are clutching at straws. You have not taken into account what the player wants and he does not want to stay in the Championship. So just because we are supposed to be billionaires does not mean we can play a computer game and just buy someone.

I am sure the Benfica players came here to showcase their skills and Costa has done the best of them and a Premier club can probably afford him more than we can

I know Mike Williamson played his 1st game for 14 months and looked the part by being tactically aware and organising the defence but can we not put too much pressure on him to turn out that kind of performance week in week out just yet and give him time to adjust to the pace of the league.

The important thing is Jas is Williamson passing on his know how to all our defenders. Every game he plays is gold dust for us in this respect plus he will be doing the same while he is in full training with the first team. In my view its vital to keep him fit

hi all
great win yesterday
quick update on my mum she has had operation. she is steadily progressing well. surgeon told my brother that there was 2 tumours on back not three although there was a cyst that has been drained. they have taken as much of the tumours off as possible. she is talking and managing to eat as well. so all is good so far. up the wolves

Great win great day yesterday, but how many on here would put Saville and Evans in front of Cavaleiro and Price? We won but honestly that was a weakened team on paper and I won't be happy to see Saville and Evans startin against villa.

We now know why Lambert don't want a centre back, because he already as one in Williamson just goes to show what an experienced centre half can make who as been there seen it and done it, like to say Well done Wolves and Lambert.
I think your team selection surprised everybody, just shows we fans what we now about football also liked your positive thinking in putting Dicho on when we all expected for Coady to replace Iorfa, and I have to say you seam very positive in playing these kids who have brought a breath of fresh hair to our football club, keep up the good work Lambert cannot wait for the Villa match, wonder what team he will play Wolves fans.

Why don't you just give it a rest Paul. You don't pik the team neither do I and no one more shocked than me and my son when we saw the team. For the record personally I do not like either Evans or Saville I would sell them tomorrow BUT BUT Lambert calls the shots and he got it spot on!
So I have my critical opinions which frankly I will keep to myself and let PL get on with it as he has proved all of wrong.

Guys its like PL has waved a magic wand and very strange positive things are happening. I still cannot take in the team he put out on Saturday. I for one would never have played either Evans or Saville because I don't personally rate either, shows how much I know!
So if we manage to buy 2 players in this crazy window fine, if we don't I won't be too disappointed
I have to go with PL's plan for us and disregard my personal values on players

Derby were 16th in an average league, 23rd out of 24 in home form rate. So expect whinging, one fa cup win doesn't fix that. We're u at the QPR game? We need quality bringin in.

I was only thinking the same James38, he kept them in a good position in premiership with the situation he was in, put it this way don't think they would of got relegated if he was still there, anyway there loss seams to be our gain at the moment, what we need now is get some points and climb the table.
