lets give dean saunders the biggest cheer and applause ever heard down the mol! hopefully our passion to watch the beautiful game will rub off on him! come on you wolves!!

I've just heard that Steven Mouyokolo is unlikely to be leaving in a hurry as he is now out for the rest of the season after hurting his wrist trying to open the transfer window...

You mean he actually turned up to open it....

Cancel this jokers contract, he taking the club for a ride.

worst signing ever in my eyes, 3 years he's been here more than most player here now yet he only played for wolves 3/4 times, proberly cost us a million pound a match for far.

get rid of mr glass !!!

mills wolf {Ed011's Note - I wouldn't say he was taking us for a ride, he was Hull's best defender in the Prem, came to us and either wasn't given a chance or was always injured. He should be given another chance before he goes in my opinion.

I'm also extremely impressed with the delay on the Steve bull stand to keep tier one youth academy. It means we will compete at the highest level at under 21s like we have this year and it has already brought us success. For once Morgan has his prioritys straight.
M.Wolf

Mills Wolf. Morgan will do his best to get it right and whilst he will make mistakes along the way he will learn from them. He is a driven successful ambitious business man. It's in his nature to want to succeed I suspect he hates losing at anything. It takes time an effort to build an empire. When red row was failing he jumped back in and took control of the board and turned it back around in face of one of the worst economic Climates in history.

He employes thousands of people giving them a wage, a living. Time people on here stopped knocking him and showed him some respect. The likes of sir jack come around once in a lifetime! I don't see any other filthy rich wolves fans lining up to buy the club do you.

Moxey is my biggest concern, I personally feel that we need a director of football to support the manager and academy and leave moxey to the commercial side.

Wolves Moose

Spot on mate. Been saying for ages Morgan is a good guy, just new to this. Moxey is the problem on the football front.

Craig de Wolf

Spot on moose we have a few millionairs in wolves who could have bought this great club how many did? none theres a certain singer im thinking of.morgan knows what he is doing its that pieman thats the trouble down here

Wolves moose. Despite all my critisism of Morgan, most very much desrved for the choices he made for the club in recent years since he took over, he seems to finally be trying to get thing right, now he realises its a footbal club first and has put that a priority, he has realised thing wasnt working ith stale and his european team, and moved quick this time to sort things out.

like ive always maintianed im neither a moaner or a happy clapper, i just say it as i see it just like Paul Tamworth and the realist, i was one of the first people to go against a majority about stale and the decision made and despite all the slating, was unfortunatly proven right.... but like i said i say it as i see it... and credit where credit is due Morgan seems to be finally learning from his mistakes ! very optimistic about this and with saunders.

also as for a Director of Football, we have one already, KEVI THELWELL, just with a diferent title to save face. And aready seem to be having a good positive influence on Morgan as this youth/team investment over ground wouldnt of come from moxey, he look to be taking a backseat finally, he's hardly spoke since the appointment of saunder if you notice and dare say he's not going to be so involed with football matters now, that'll be down to Thelwell, Saunders and Morgan........ happy days !!

Slimming the squad to 25 was a key target of SS. The fact he dd nt achieve this could be down to two things incompetence of SS or the fact that Sales or Tades did not meet Moxeys valuation and therefore did not move on. Is it the manager or Moxey holding this club back?

Moxey...

He got sacked before he even had a chance to sell anyone?

08 Jan 2013 21:08:28
i think deano has been brought in to bring discipline ive heard for the first time of a certain player being disrespectful to solbakken who should have known better i hope he shifts out the core of troublemakers plus anybody who shows the slightest doubt about playing for the shirt ie berra and the like let mad mick have the lot of them theyve got stale the sack he was a descent guy two good for those bog standard nobodys

So, who was this certain player? ...not libellous if true!

Which player ?

It says in the text

Henry !

opinions on leigh griffiths? stay or go to hibs permanently?

I've been saying all season that we should have called him back in the summer..He's knocking them in for fun at Hibs..Whether it's him that doesn't want to come back or SS didn't rate him I don't know..

I know he had "issues" but he's on fire at Hibernian at the mo.

Worth a punt in my opinion

What do we want him for he wants to stay in scotland in the micky mouse league

I don't think hubs can afford him I've heard that Celtic are interested though. He plays his last game in Scotland on the 19th before being due back at wolves.

He may find it easier settling into wolves now we have a welsh manager.

That may sound like an odd thing to say, but if your Scottish or welsh you will know what I mean.

Wolves moose

A certain Steven Fletcher also scored for fun in the Micky mouse league

What's with people keep going on about fringpong coming back personnely he isn't that good so wish people would stop going on about him whats the lad done in he career oh he hasn't had one because arsenal don't want him let's find some fresh talent from lower leagues and build them up sick of seeing over rated sick notes at wolves

Sick note? hes about 21 years old mate and had two unlucky injuries as for him not being good enough you must of been watching the wrong player when he was here! he is easily as good as doumbia

There seems to be a bit of negativity about Saunders but Let's give Saunders our full support at least we have all heard of him unlike stale, I think Saunders has come to us the right way by learning his trade as a number 2 then in lower leagues people wanted a big name manager and big name players but look at Everton and what David moyes has achieved if Saunders does anywhere near that I think we will all be very happy

David Moyes took Preston from Division 2 to the Championship Playoff Final. He was widely regarded as the best young coach in the country when he went to Everton.
Saunders managed 10th, 11th and 4th (after he'd left) in the Conference with Wrexham, and then couldn't prevent Doncaster from being relegated.
I'm deeply depressed by the ordinary run-of-the-mill players now being mentioned on this message board. Seems the Board's lack of ambition has been picked by the supporters.

08 Jan 2013 17:55:25
Can someone tell me how the hell have we got 40 players on the books yet i only ever seen the same 13 to 16 players in first team.
what were they thinking of.

Did anyone read Swain's column in the E+S talking about Palace player saying this lot don't want to play for him(Stale).......i hope DS kicks the crap out of them for that

08 Jan 2013 17:29:53
Let's show some ambition for once. Get Pennant out of the club and get Dyer in. Proven winger and will work well with Saunders tactics. Paul Tamworth

Why he is a good player but his injury record is dirw

You having a laugh.....he wouldnt last 2 mins before he would get injured!

Paul sometimes I think you post because you enjoy people disagreeing with you? How is crocked, old dyer in any way a sign of ambition?!

Wat you on get rid of one crook bring in anuva

For two games

Good idea. Our medics could do with a bit of proctice.....not.

Ambition-Dyer, you are deluded. Would be like signing another Tony Daley.

Kieron Dyer would look really good for about 50 minutes then knacker his back tying his shoelaces, and will cost us upwards of £30k a week for the following year, getting paid to be sitting in the treatment room.

He was once a fantastic talent, that is undeniable. But now it's time he retired his boots.

NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Sometimes I think Paul is a Baggie trolling on here! With a comment like this I'm starting to be convinced of it!

Given Wolves' recent disappointments, I am not surpised that many of you are apprehensive about Deano's arrival. After listening to him on Radio Wales during his time with Wrexham there is no doubt that he talks a good game. But.....

Redbird {Ed011's Note - Look who's back! Don't worry we'll beat you next time mate ;)

Dont worry mate if it doesn't work out Morgan will move on until he finds the right solution.
But I think Dean will do alright.

Glad you remember me Ed. To show how charitable I am i won't bring up how you fancied our respective clubs to fare this season. Though I admit there's a fair way to go yet.

Redbird {Ed011's Note - Haha go on, I deserve reminding, I think worst case scenario I'd have put us at least 3 places higher up the league by this point.

Agreed, Ed. I had us down for 14th after the first few matches, perhaps 6th at best. Dunno if my post is still around.

ed; give us fans the low down what kind of football does deano play? is it hoof football or does he play a passing game? {Ed011's Note - All I've heard from Doncaster fans is that is was hoofball, all I've heard from Wrexham fans is that it was the best football they've ever played. I'd like to think that, unlike Solbakken, he'll play whatever kind of football the players he has can play to get results.

08 Jan 2013 10:38:52
Ipswich to sign Nouble on 18 month contract according to . Having a medical today. First of many fringe players to be leaving i think. Now lets get rid of Stearman, Hunt, Zubar, Jonnson, Ward, Berra................

And Henry, the ring leader. P.J.

I agree 100% jason wolvesfor life

Suckers !! And we even got a fee for him, deffo proves he was one of connors choices.

08 Jan 2013 10:32:11
I am 100% behind DS and hope he does well despite my continuing gripe with Moxey/ Morgan.
However from what i've read and watched since the appointment ( everything) I can't help but think we have just appointed a younger version of Mick.
All the talk of hard work, a certain type of player, all in it together, players will like him, won't stand no messing. It all sounds very familiar. OK, it might see a change of fortunes for the immediate future but what about long term?
I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say if he can turn it around then his contacts in the game will see him bring in a better quality of player that can do a bit more than work hard ( if backed with the cash). Here's hoping.
GET MOXEY OUT.

Brilliant post and I agree 100% with what you say! We will just be back to where we were, struggling week in week out with no idea how to win enough games to stay in the Premier league! We will have a group of players on more money than Championship sides can afford but not good enough for the Premier League! Its this short term /immediate demands of fans that make the Stale dismissal seem like a really missed opportunity for the long term success of the club!

However, he's gone and Dean Saunders is in charge now! We must back him 100% and hope he has a long term plan that doesn't involve a group of poor players working extremely hard with little success in the Premier League!

Agree he talk the talk similar to mick, but if you look back at mick and stale as managers, then i know who'd i go for again given what i know now.

One big differnce though in them, mick was a defender, saunders was a striker so expect to see us more attack minded going out to win games rather than not loose them

Welcome deano on friday, give him a great reception. Show the players were behind the new man in charge and they need tobe aswell. Not demanding a win on friday but a good performance and effort is a must from the players.

The focuss is on the players now to put an effort in.

08 Jan 2013 10:18:55
never knew saunders had that many friends in wolves they all seem to know who is targets are

08 Jan 2013 10:00:04
My sources tell me that Morgan and Moxey are fed up with the way Dean Saunders is doing things at the club and will fire him today!

Just kidding...i'm just fed up with these clowns

Lol that's brilliant! I nearly laughed as much as when I watched the Wolves Boardroom on Youtube!

, you gotta laugh at that...nothing like gallows humour...!

08 Jan 2013 12:10:16
you've got to laugh at that.

08 Jan 2013 09:26:06
I my opinion it will be about who goes in January rather than who comes in as the squad although thin due to injuries is way too big currently. I think the following will be out the door in January.

Zubar, Noble, Mouyokolo and Hunt as a starter.

I think you may see 4 or 5 players (mainly young and lacking experience) going out on 6 month loan deals just like we have done with Ismail. It is too soon for Saunders to make a decision on the younger players so I expect to see him farm them out and see how they go.
Griffiths would be a little money spinner considering his current form so we might cash in there.

Frimpong would be a good signing and that will spell the end of the line for Henry.

Keepers are fine and De-Vries will go at the end of the season if Wayne returns to fitness.

Defence is an issue and we might look at Dunne as a short term fix for this year and next years challenge in the championship. Liam O'Neil at the Baggies might be up for a loan for 6 months and from what I hear he is pretty solid.

Upfront I agree with a previous post re a new striker who can do the job in the Championship what about Leroy Lita on loan, he is playing a bit part at Swansea and has a record or scoring at this level. None of this is factual but I hope realistic. Your thought??

Nouble of to Ipswich then! Hopefully the first of many and we can get some decent talent in and through the ranks.

Hibs fan here, just wondering what your opinions are on leigh griffiths? Do you want him back at wolves? He's been top drawer for us and i really hope he stays

He's never had a real chance at Wolves so i would like to see him given a go. I think one of the main reasons he came to you is that he is seen as disruptive in the changing room. Has there been any whispers of that at Hibs?

Hes yours if you can stump up 600k.

He burnt his bridges with the powers that be when he was found asleep on a bench in the locker room when he should've been training. I think he'll be on his way to Hibs permanently.

His value has risen considerably, be surprised if you could come up with the sort of money ita will cost to buy him.

Based on our current squad and our present crop of underperforming so called stars I would like to see this team take the field.

fw Sigurdarson
fw Doyle
mf OHara
mf Davis (Doumbia when back from Africa cup of nations)
mf Sako (Right cutting in onto Left foot)
mf Ward (Left, better going forward but clearly not a defender)
rb Doherty
cb Batth
cb Johnson (C)
lb Elokobi (A Unit not good enough for prem, but at championship level surely better at actually defending than Ward)
gk De Vries (Excellent distibution accredited with assists for most of Scott Sinclairs 20 plus goals when Swansea won promotion).

Bench. Hennessey (1st choice when 100% fit), Stearman, Forde, Davis, Ebanks Blake.

Think that Berra, Henry, Hunt, Zubar, Hammil (Only if he cannot turn his character around as is obviously very gifted), Mouyokolo, Jonsson and Foley should all be moved on and at least 3 new faces added including as an absolute minimum a lb, a creative midfielder and a Striker.

The likes of Edwards, Ikeme, Margreitter and Nouble also either loaned or sold as in my opinion only good enough as squad backup or subs bench.

Players the like of Boukari, Peszko, Ismail, McAalinden, Winnall, and Reckford intergrated into the above squad when deemed fit and/or ready.

But what do I know?

Your right you know nothing de vreis is useless worst keeper at the club n elokobi is worst lb at the club n he's out for the season anyway n Ohara only just come back so can't even say he's under performing

Nothing, clearly...

Elokobi is injured
Ward in Midfield!?!? I'll have what you're drinking son!

No ikeme i can't believe hes a better keeper than hennessy and doris

Not bad really if you agree with 8 of my 11 picks. Drop ward and de Vries and buy a new left back sorted.

07 Jan 2013 23:56:32
squad id quite like to see ambitious and not amazing tried to bass it on cheap and sort or relistic deals lol

Ikeme

Foley Johnson(c) Wayne Birdge

Tongo
Frimpong O Hara
Sigurdarson Sako

Vaz Te Doyle

On the bench
Hennasy, cassidy, Boukari, Peszko, Bath

would possibly replace foley if he doesnt come good

wayne bridge i thing hes good tatical player getting a bit older but doing well for brighton on loan and looks good going foward so someone similar

tongo cdm with frimpong n o hara cm lm and rm sako n sigurdarson with peszko and boukari to come on and swop in

and vaz te on loan with option to buy same for frimmy and doyle if he starts scoring if not cassidy if he does well

only an opinion just wanted to see what people thought?

i don't play fm do play a bit of fifa tho lol

Bradley

I think playing with 12 players may give us a slight edge ;)

Its 11 players with a back 3 that has two fullbacks
