Unfortunately the strongest rumours online now are loan moves for Steven Pienaar and. Gabby Agbonlahor! If we're not willing to cough up Williamson's wages, I can't see us bringing in either of those two unless their clubs take a large chunk of the cost. Even at that, why would they when they want rid off them? Besides, for me they're just too old and looking for a last pay day - a slight upgrade on Grant Holt! Revert back to a young and hungry policy for me, but we do still need an experienced centre-back.

Bet we could afford Richard Stearman's wages, after all he only left for footballing reasons! Hands up if you sanctioned that move 🙈😢🙄😡.

There must be something about the Steerman move we don't know about because it made no sense then and it still makes no sense now.

Seems as though Williamson won't be signing after all. A new target has been identified - Bolton's Dorian Dervite. NOOOOOOOOOO!
God how frustrating - you don't get a whole lot cheaper than that! Yet if Williamson is looking for the reported £40k a week, I applaud the board's decision - that's ludicrous money for a player of his quality.
I think we ought to look elsewhere. Have a look in France or Spain (or perhaps where most of our joint rumours come from, FIFA! ) and see if there's a guy worth taking a chance on. Yes I know it's experience we're looking for. But 3 clean sheets in 3 games perhaps proves we don't need a major operation.

well, well'what a surprise that is, we have the chance to sign prem quality for a nominal fee and the board still can't pay the guy a decent wage, they must have known he was going to be expecting a bigger wage than possibly anyone else at wolves is earning before they sat down to talk to him.
This is really bad management these people should be ashamed of themselves, new owner, board and ceo needed desperately .

Nick Blackman has signed for Derby, that's one place Afobe will definitely not be going to. I understand Sunderland want him too now but will only pay up to £8m.

If they are only prepared to pay 5m then they don't really want him.
