Saunders? Well, they set their sights really high there. If we're lucky enough to stay up then it's going to be seasons of bottom of the table obscurity.

Why Morgan doesn't just do one and do us all a favour I don't understand, yet another badly timed change of manager doomed to fail due to lack of investment. {Ed003's Note - Certain clubs have a certain kind of fan,take Blackburn for instance they think they have a right to have a say in who is the managerand look at them,there board is that weak they are falling into this trap,support your club and let the manager manage and the owners own,to many fans think they know how to run a football club when they don't,me included.happy new year}

06 Jan 2013 23:31:31
The whole club is rotten from top to bottom at the minute and needs a massive overhaul. Some of the players need to take responsibility for the situation we are in, nuff said.

Chasetown Wolf.

06 Jan 2013 23:23:05
Good luck to Stale for the future.
The players are to blame not him.

06 Jan 2013 23:16:42
I'm not a wolves fan but I love football and I'm from wolves...I think this is a bad appointment, how can mosey and Morgan think taking a league 1 manager is going to keep a side which is on the slide down the table in the championship, badges aside I wouldn't like to see his managerial cv.please I hope wolves players give him a fighting chance because 5 losses down the road the boos will start.and we all know what that means

Peace out good luck wolves {Ed003's Note - I think you should look more into his managerial record,he wasn't far off with Wrexham against bigger budgets and then took over donny when they were already doomed with the silly loan policy they introduced,this year he has overhauled things and got Donny playing well within a budget less than others,give the guy a chance.}

06 Jan 2013 23:12:53
truely hope he doesnt bring us back to micks style of play with hoof n run onto it

also hope he is stirct n shakes are players up mabe trys some of the youngsters n people out on loan,

3rdly hope he brings a new fitness coach as why are all are players out with hamstring n groin injurys = tony dailey who has dreadfull legs and histroy of leg problems!

4 and final and properly most important please m and m spend in janury plese!!

06 Jan 2013 22:51:32
Either it's a stroke of genius by Morgan or a cheap knee jerk option.

I am leaning towards the latter, however I am willing to be proved wrong and will support Deano to the hilt.
?
Whatever happens it is paramount that he is given the money to ship out the dross and prima-donnas that litter the squad.

06 Jan 2013 22:49:45
our most successfull manager ever was stan cullis aged 31 with very little experience!

There's only one Stan Cullis though my friend. Sadly we wont have another manager quite like him.

TDW

06 Jan 2013 22:46:17
I'll give DS a chance of course I will. However, I have been reading some of the comments on the Donny Footbal Forum. Hoof type football. I know you cut your cloth etc but don't feel enthused. Still, could be worse...Alex McLeish {Ed011's Note - I'm not saying this is true and no offence to Doncaster, but maybe Saunders was just playing a style of football at Doncaster that would get the best results with the players he had at his disposal.

Agree Ed. We all have our own fundemental footballing principals, but you adapt and adjust those principals to the resourses available to you and the surroundings you find yourself in. Dean was always a hard working football playing footballer. I am sure these principals will now lend themselves well to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Some times the unlikely works.

06 Jan 2013 22:32:36
Just seen the Stale interview on YouTube
What a thoroughly decent gentleman
I wish him well in the future he deserves that at least

06 Jan 2013 22:15:19
Deano beware the people who shake your hand on the way in will be the people who stab you in the back on the way out mate,,,,, only way to avoid is get rid

So positive!

Deano, Kill morgan, moxey, back room staff and the team, you will be safe and we might get a better squad

06 Jan 2013 21:50:26
Well hardly inspiring looks like someone will be having my early bird next season. supporter for 35years love my wolves always will but will not return till Steve leaves. always on the cheap let down too many times with these boys. I'll watch in the pub from now on.

"HOW CAN THEY TAKE A CHANCE" with Saunders after all what they have put us through. smoke and mirrors boys, smoke and mirrors! cherioo and see you when a new CEO and owner come round.

Hown true, moxey rules, the antichrist

Ive supported wolves for many years,
450 miles round trip about £130 petrol plus nights stay at Barons court in Goldthorne hill, no more.
will wait till next year and watch them play the Gills

{Ed011's Note - Just seen a good point made by Jacqui Oatley, it's a different game nowadays compared to 60 years ago, but in June 1948, aged just 31, Stan Cullis became manager of Wolves and presided over the most successful era in the club's history. We can't say that Saunders can be doubted because of his inexperience at higher levels because our most successful manager ever was also our most inexperienced. Give him the chance that he deserves.

I'm a wolves supporter always have been, hopefully allways will be, but there are limits. How much longer have we got to put up with Moxeys penny pinching. He IS the blot on wolves landscape

06 Jan 2013 21:45:18
i know most wolves fans are peed about this appointment but who knows he might accually be alright he also might accually give a chance to batth reckord cassidy McAlinden etc but ill back him while he's down here i just hope other wolves fans give him a chance who knows he might suprise you

Your right, most wolves fans are pissed of by this apppointment

06 Jan 2013 21:19:20
lets see what type of players he will go after

Prob a cheap one if mox has owt to do with it

06 Jan 2013 21:14:36
we all have to get behind him now, but im afraid this is the cheap option a proven manager is what you need to get out of the championship. well morgan got that right deano got doncaster out of the championship into div1

What is a proven manager. Most of the names banded about are proven failures at some level.
what we want is someone that can do it tomorrow.

06 Jan 2013 21:07:56
Welcome to Wolves deano pal the true wolves fans will be behind you all the way but first watch out for Henry, Doyle, Berra, Foley and ward as they will try and get you sacked get rid of them asap.
Also you might want to watch out for Paul Tamworth to because if you lose a match he will start a witch hunt for you.

That's nice...trolling a so called troll, how thoroughly decent of you...not.

06 Jan 2013 20:51:17
right boys and girls let get behind deano and the team lets see wot we can salvage frtom the mess hes taking over no gud slagging moaning its done lets bak the team

06 Jan 2013 20:45:54
R.I.P Wolves!! What a joke league 1 here we come {Ed011's Note - That's exactly what we need, if we all give in as easily as you we will be relegated. I hope the rest of us show a bit more of a backbone and turn the Molineux into a fortress, get behind the team and turn the season around.

For crying out loud give the bloke a chance! No wonder Curbishly turned the job down last season.

Well said Ed. What chance does any manager have with cavemen supporters as above. Good luck Dean you will have my full support. lets get back to young and hungry instead of old and past it.

06 Jan 2013 20:43:18
Out of nearly 9000 votes cast on E&S site less than 5% want Dean Saunders! That's great just great! He's up against it before he even moves into his office! Again Wolves pull a rabbit out of the hat! NOT!

You forget we are the mugs not the big cheese............

Do you think that Morgan is trying to play the Abramovich role but without putting the money in ?.......just our luck !

06 Jan 2013 20:39:34
seemed to go from bad to worse even after connor went !! bad fitness, results, like at the begining of the aeason. bit dissapointed as he is a hoof the ball gaffer i am afraid.

06 Jan 2013 20:39:32
Whatever you're opinion on Saunders, at least give him a chance before slating him. Lets see what he can do and get behind him.

06 Jan 2013 20:15:06
All I'm gona say is how convinent (spelling) that at a time of the season we should be discussing players in an out that we are now in discussion over a new manager!?

I get a good idea this crock was planned an I've been told its abit far fetched but have a think about... Ok results wasn't goin very well at all but why had the board commented saying it will get worse before it get better an that we need a full re-structure? Pre meditated comes to my mind...
Sorry for stale.. Wasn't good enough but player power has won this war time for some1 with balls.. To regain control of the over paid penny pinchers at wwfc.. That won't happen tho cuz jm an sm don't want a gaffer that will call the shots an re arrange the chain of command?

06 Jan 2013 20:01:24
av heard talks went well and were agreeing compo now.

It's Saunders - Tim Nash confirmed on tw*tter. One year rolling contract. Also back room staff - own fitness coach - Daley staying/going?

06 Jan 2013 19:15:01
just seen solbakken on midlands today. the guy was in bits, i thought he was going to cry. the guys time was up and the football was terrible so he did have to go, howeber i feel sorry for him as those spine less uncaring players never gave him a chance. who ever comes in i hope they ship them out and play the kids.

This was his own doing and u just said why.....he give those players a chance, big big mistake on his part.
we were all saying get a decent defence in and replace Ward and Henry at start of season but he didnt and we all knew what was going to happen.

I pray that the next manager doesn't make the same mistake

06 Jan 2013 19:06:55
O driscol turns down Barnsley job no smoke without fire

06 Jan 2013 18:44:43
O'Driscoll turns down Barnsley apparently !

06 Jan 2013 18:41:29
While Morgan looking at Saunders he might as well go n get Colin Cameron Alex Rae n jackie McNamara 3 men who know what wolves mean to the fans

Rae and cameron would be great

06 Jan 2013 18:18:14
ed or anyone else know what kind or football hes got donny playing i know there 2nd n doing well but it is league 1

06 Jan 2013 18:17:31
Think mick and terry actually looked good at wolves compared to stale and co. what a joke dean saunders be warned plays hoof ball and nowt much else. o drisscol teams actually play football. not been funny coz he is crap but as soon as connor went ealier in the season so did our shape, fitness and desire what we got back ? stale rubbish tbh. loyal wolves.

When tc left we went on a good run and then it fell apart when we hired patric weisser

06 jan 2013 18:03:44
i would love to be positive about the expected appointment of dean saunders, but i cannot.we are just outside the bottom three, we cannot afford to experiment with our future.saunders record does not show success or potential to give him the job.the senior players conspired to get rid of solbaken, and have ther own agenda.murray and moxey have questions on there real feelings for our club.i will give saunders a chance, but i will never forgive henry foley, ward, berra, doyle and blake, the hall of fame is not waiting for them, rather the hall of shame

06 Jan 2013 17:17:29
At least the Doncaster fc web site keeps their fans updated with the situation! Our site just says "wolves have no comment at the moment" come on Wolves learn from your cock up last time don't keep us in the dark this time!

06 Jan 2013 17:12:42
wha a joke saunders hasnt even got the job yet n ur all slatting him let me ask u a question what experiance did clarke have manegerial experiance that is before he took over the rubbish

As I said in my post earlier, I for one am prepared to give DS time (if indeed he gets the job, which is looking likely)..

But I am not convinced that signing a manager with only succesfull experience at conference level and a poor Championship record shows much ambition or hope..Back to route one?I dearly hope not..

However, there are also rumours floating around about his signature being the foot in the door for Grahame Sounness to be brought in as DOF...I personally cant stand him as a man, I think he's a horrible creature, but, if this proves to be true you cannot deny him of his past success or experience..Having someone like that on board on derby day (not that we get that many any more) can only be a good thing. We all remember his moment in Turkey at Galatasary...

06 Jan 2013 17:06:02
I agree with a lot of wolves fans dean Saunders is not the answer for us. Not a lot if experience and certainly not the man to get us out if this hole! Steve Morgan put up or get out not ambition and constantly penny pinching! I'm certainly not wasting my money on tickets until they sort this circus act out!!

06 Jan 2013 17:05:40
The problem is we dont have any good players anymore so whoever takes the job has a tough job. We have a slow defence a midfield with no creative flair and strikers who have no physical presence and dont score.

Sell Sell sell.... Ward Berra Henry Doyle SEB Stearman Johnson ..But they wont...

Who to?

06 Jan 2013 16:58:53
just cant get away from the mess were in, just been watching the ski jumping, Andreas **** was followed by Martin Koch and my thoughts returned to Wolves

If i was andreas I'd be most upset that my surname was blanked out my name is WA*K, Andreas WAN* {Ed011's Note - That was automatic haha sorry! And sorry to Andreas ****!

Ed, I am pleased Stefan Kun*z was not a ski jumper, you may have thought I was taking the Peas

Fanny shmeller is a ski jumper.

Was that a reference to moxey

06 Jan 2013 16:33:12
Just noticed on the main page that DMC was spotted at Sir jack complex. Core for the life of me think who DMC is. Giz a clue. {Ed011's Note - Can't get it for the life of me too unless it's a misspelling of RDM

Its Don Marco Carlos, he head of the local mafia

I don't know who he is but I heard he likes to get the players to run.

Werewolf

06 Jan 2013 16:25:43
So Dean Saunders is at the Molineux in talks as I write this..A decent enough player in his time, but with no experience of managing at this level. His kick it and see style of managing might work in the Conference but it will fail at this level.

He is a close friend of Morgan's (Morgan's son is at Wrexham)..So it transpires that our chairman has so much ambition that he has taken to employing his mates-possibly because he is realising that no-one in their right mind would take this gig with the board that is currently in place..

If he gets the job, I'll be prepared to get behind him, simply because I have no choice.Morgan and Moxey will not listen to a word a mere fan has to say..But I am not living in hope...

Welcome back to the 80s

06 Jan 2013 16:25:26
Having spent a fair amount of time reading this, and various other web sites it is obvious that both Wolves supporters and other club supporters, Doncaster, Wrexham all think Dean Saunders is a plonker.

if he is appointed which looks more than likely he will have lost the trust of supporters even before he has parked his car resulting us being on both his and the teams back, imagine if on Friday after 10 mins we are one nil down.

we need someone who can inspire us and the players, so if SM or JM have any thoughts of how to resolve the crisis they should consider the strength of the twelfth man, or fear the strength of playing with 11

As far as i can tell; Jez Moxey does not have a single fan on this site or even in Wolverhampton. That being the case and if fans have really had enough the only thing to do is vote with your feet. Protest outside the ground but do not pay to enter it, Morgan loves his money and hitting him in the wallet is the only way to get his attention. Unfortunately i live quite a distance away and do not get to many games but i willl not go to another until Moxey has gone, yes we are in profit with a lovely new stand which will be even nicer in the first division. For those who say we must support the team, i say they have had all the support they deserve and more and still they mug us off. When Henry signed that new contract he must have been delighted to take all our hard earned money without ever having to work for it.
For me i would like to see Mark Hughes take over, plenty off experience, great contacts and someone who wont take any cr*p off the players. If Dean gets the job then good luck to him and i wish and hope the best for him and the players ( the ones that deserve to wear that shirt). UTW Ritchie {Ed011's Note - I think if we go for Dean Saunders and it doesn't work out then that's the kind of thing we can expect every game, The Gold Knights Fans Consortium does have something of a ring to it doesn't it?

My round trip is 450miles to watch this dross, I started my boycott 6 weeks ago, moxey out. i would rather drive to show my disdain than support the shte that wear the old gold and black without pride

I am a fan of Moxry, he is an outstanding CEO. He has and continues to do his best from a financial point of view for the club. With regard to transfer receits, not all the money is paid up front but in a number of instalments. I think we have missed out with Stale, admittedly, after losing to Luton, there was only going to be one outcome. The players should hang there head in shame, they are the problem, a core group created by MM and pandered to by TC. Stales mistake not clearing the lot in the summer.

06 jan 2013 16:47:28
what was it moxey said 8 months ago. something like " this is no job for a novice " and ds is what? certainly not experienced.
get moxey out.

06 Jan 2013 15:33:05
All us wolves fans seem to do is moan. Give whatever guy who cones in a chance. No manager ever does the sane job at a different club unless he is a special manager with a budget. Look at lambert. Look at hughes. Hoddle. Souness. The kist goes on. Mick had a rubbish record before us and he is a hero to some wolves fans. Unless any manager has players backing or funds he will atruggle. Regaedless who we bring in. Ss would if been good if the players backed him. He didnt win those titles by luck.

Agreed. we tried the 'experienced line with Hoddle and no one has a good word to say on that.

06 Jan 2013 15:06:05
Ray Wilkins + Roy Keane = carrot & stick

06 Jan 2013 14:51:46
We dnt.just need. nre manger though we need money spent n players shipped on and its nit going to.happen i hopee.it does but i.really cant se.it happening id love to see rdm manager n.saunderd.as coach so we cb.play gd footvall look for talent like sako n.tht abroaf atill.i.fink.tht was the right aproach but at the same time be strict on payers who have no spirit or eilf in.the club

but i honestly cnt see this happening. well go cheap not spend.in.jan jez has alredi said to.e and s he fink.the swuad is gd enuf

no clue at all sort it out something needa a massive change

06 Jan 2013 14:24:56
Just been lookig at the betting for new Wolves manager. Nobody seems to be giving odds of 2/1 cockup!

06 Jan 2013 14:24:46
if we had any ambition there are only three candidates number1 gus poyet number2 alan curbishley and 3 dimatteo the rest a lottery

06 Jan 2013 14:12:53
lets get behind the lads friday night and raise the roof!

We need to all be right behind our back four who cudn't defend if their lives depended on it - they cant even do it for their win bonuses

NO ! f**k em, let them do something for the fans for once and turn up, the sooner the new guy sorts the wheat from the chaff the sooner the club moves forward, the right appointment is crucial this time, no more second chances Moxey, you get this wrong the club is well and truly screwed.

06 Jan 2013 14:02:32
i just think this job is to big for dean saunders, i would like to see dalglish come in to manage to the end of the season with the promise of becoming director of football in the summer he can then be given the task of finding a manager who he feels he can work with to clear out the crap players and start to rebuild

Dream on the clowns upstairs wont spend that sort of money!

I wouldn't trust Dalglish as far as i could throw him

Terrible manager

06 Jan 2013 13:53:14
Saunders yet another cheap option.
Come on Morgan show some ambition.
Di matteo for me.

06 Jan 2013 13:49:08
Players got SS the sack. Now move on quickly so whoever SM opts for will have a chance to see what he is inheriting and to bring in new blood before 31 Jan otherwise we will do well to avoid second relegation! Barry

06 Jan 2013 13:35:24
Steve please don't appoint Dean Saunders for this job. Think of it like this you wouldn't sack your plasterer at redrow and then say oh i know ill phone my mate dean he knows a bit about plastering ill ask him if he wants the job. What has Saunders ever done in football? his team got relegated last season and now you want him here managing us! do us all a favor and listen to us for a change we have forgot more about football than you will ever know. stick to your building sites and tell Moxey to p off cause he gets way to involved in the football side of things for a CEO. you don't see Real Madrid's CEO coming out all the time talking b###s. In fact i cant think of a CEO who does! appoint this man and its a big step sideways not forward there are far better out there. I'm not going to say RDM cause thats a bit optimistic but Hughes, Curbishley, O'Driscoll, Roy keane, Ray Wilkins, Di canio, Ince... all seem better choices than your mate DS!

TDW

DS is a young manager who as learnt his trade the hard way.

He as done well at Doncaster, unfashionable club, low crowds and NO money.

O'dris was sacked by Donny so how good is he.
Keane needs loads of money but still cocks it up.
Hughes is a waste of time
Curbishley doesnt seem to know what he wants.
Wilkins isnt a manager.
Di canio is a maybe.
Ince is not a very good manager is he.
Yes what a great choice there you put up,, do you watch football.

Do you watch football? O'Driscoll Nottingham Forrest done a good job, Roy keane got Sunderland up in his first season in charge, Hughes has done a good job at all of his clubs apart from QPR, Curbishley good manager always done a good job and he quite clearly wanted the job but our board are thick, Wilkins may not be a manager but he was interviewed before and has good tactical know how and would do well with a good number 2, Di canio is one of the best up and coming managers and wouldn't take any messing from the so called Sr players. and whilst Ince has not done much i believe that his breakthrough is around the corner.

TDW

06 Jan 2013 13:29:04
Saunders to me means not willing to gamble no ambition another farce in my eyes

Well I would say Saunders is a gamble but its the opposite of what we need at the moment really

06 Jan 2013 13:15:15
I would rather see the likes saunders as manager cos he as learnt his trade from the bottom.
People like Keane and hughes have not learnt there trade properly, this is why they fail

Oh and DS has not failed then? he got Donny relegated. What are our board asking him to do mirror his last seaon in the championship so we can go down and rebuild in L1? cause thats where we are heading!

TDW

06 Jan 2013 13:05:01
Everyone who is slating Saunders for getting Doncaster relegated needs to remeber that Shaun O'Driscoll got the sack because the team were doing so poorly under him and were in the relegation places. Surely he is just as culpable as Saunders.

Whoever is appointed, lets get behind them and get out of this mess.

Saunders was the man who more or lest changed the whole doncaster side with decent loan signings but they still went down the last thing ye want is someone to unsettle the players ye want someone in who can work with the team which on paper is a decent side and who can add a couple of loan signings to get ye through to the end od the season wolves should look at mk dons manager who has done well with no money

06 Jan 2013 12:58:44
Everyone has a good word to say about Saunders reckon he will be a good appointment knows the game inside out said in a interview he likes his teams organised and hard working

06 jan 2013 12:52:17
i reckon the players will feel a great weight has been lifted off their shoulders now stale has gone! this will be reflected on friday night when, with or without a manager in place the passion will be back and we will take blackburn apart!

06 Jan 2013 12:33:16
well lad whats happening to your club glad to see ye got rid of ye last manager came over as a bit of a clown but now it gets more ridiculous with saunders geting the job im afraid for your club steeped in good tradition well supported are heading one way and that is down someone needs to get a grip or wolves will playing the likes of carlisle and orient next season

Sorry who is it you support?

06 Jan 2013 11:28:12
I think you will find Saunders has qualities you do not realize he has.
He will gel the team like you wont believe!
He has a very charismatic personality that will work wonders. Also he has had time to understand how things work by both being a footballer & moving up the football grade managerial wise. Ok! he will make a few mistakes but don't we all. (M&M take note)

Just watch, he will be a breath of fresh air. Trust me!!
I know these things.

All we can do is give him a fair chance and back him if he gets the job.

06 Jan 2013 11:19:27
I think Saunders or who ever comes in deserves a chance now to weed out the rubbish and build his team as I don't want to turn into a Chelsea sacking managers all the time I think stale had to go he was clueless IMO but Saunders deserves a chance at least 2seasons I think we all need to give him a chance

I'd rather be like chelsea and sack good managers every season then be like us appointing rubbish and then sacking them!

06 Jan 2013 11:02:49
What? Nobody mentioned ole gunnar solskjaer yet?? {Ed011's Note - Good point.

Dean Saunders will be wolves manager by Monday.deals done.get behind him.

Do you know what that is a great shout cuz this might be puttin 2 an 2 together but does anybody know where Morgan was over Xmas period?
Anywhere close to ole was he ;)?? Just a thought

Yeah he was on a skiing holiday with his family.

He knows a lot about slippery slopes then

06 Jan 2013 11:00:11
Stale may have gone but the problem is still here (the players) i wonder if the rats will now come out of there holes and start slateing him and his tactics there is no cheap solution to this they have already proved that they are not premier quality and looking at this season so far not good enough for championship, We have to rebuid our great club which means spending big money without putting us in a financial situation that would bankrupt us so get the cheque book out and get rid of these people who are not fit to wear our shirt !

06 Jan 2013 10:56:46
dean saunders, another friend of morgans, took doncaster down last season, before yesterday they had lost 5 on the trot at home.....asking for even more trouble, if you ask me...morgans friend jan molby recommended solbakken and look how that turned out.....morgan and moxey, pair of fLIPPin clowns!

06 Jan 2013 10:50:16
who is on our board ed? {Ed011's Note - According to the Wolves Website the directors are:

Steve Morgan
Jez Moxey
John Gough
John Bowater
Bob Laslett

So no one there has a history in football..... great.

John Bowater lives eats and breaths Wolves and does the best he can in his capacity as Director.
I know as I hear first hand from my Sister and Brother Inlaw who know his family and him very well.

06 Jan 2013 10:49:57
why does eberyone want this dean saunders i dont wnat to go back to an english based manager who will play bad football n if were allowed to bring in players go back to a team like micks old driftwood

i hope we have a bit of ambition in the board n stick with bringing in a manger who cn play gd football along with adding attacking football tht can bring in gd quality foregin and english talent n can adapt to prem if we get there

dean saunders wil be the next mck!

plz have some ambition n keep to ur origional plans of improving thw team n football qualitly plz!

Capmb

In all fairness, do you have any idea of the style of football Saunders likes his teams to play? {Ed011's Note - Only stuff Doncaster fans are saying

06 jan 2013 10:43:29
the new manager will be the one who will come fer the least wages regardless of anythin else!

06 Jan 2013 10:35:42
League table this, win percent that?? Look at other prem relegated teams none doing any good its a rebuilding season wen u first come down, tamworth get back under ur bridge I can here the billy goats gruff heading ur way!!! Its poison like u that moxey feeds off! Look at most prem lower half an championship managers win record ss simlar an thev had time an money! U never liked him or hes style r u is mad mick ur milkman??
Siewolf the happy clapper troll slapper!!

06 Jan 2013 10:32:53
Jaap Stam anyone?
Just reading on the daily mail he is looking to move to England and take the next step into management, he is currently assistant coach of PEC Zwolle who play in the top tier in the Netherlands.
Realistically, would Di Matteo join us? very slim chance.
not convinced on Saunders or o'Driscoll.
Hughes, Ince, Curbishley and Coyle options without a job.
would be very happy with Gus Poyet but Steve Morgan paying a release clause for him is a long shot.
what's everyone else's thoughts?

Liverpool fan here liked wolves used to live beside big douggie in n ireland .now i would like to say saunders would be a great addition but if he were to turn it down i would urge wolves to have a look at the job mark robins is doing at coventry.Tommy Irish Red

Owen Coyle for me...RDM would be excellent, but Morgan and Moxey have made us so unattractive I doubt he would give it a thought,
For the sake of the club don't mess this next appointment up or it could be along slide down the league's...

06 Jan 2013 09:49:17
Can I just say I liked solbakken as a person but his tactics were all wrong and he didn't really have a clue so us wolves fans made it know, but now he's gone your still all moaning about appointments will you ever be happy ? Support your club dont slag it off. The board will make a decision we have no input really so whoever it is lets not be as harsh as we was to solbakken and get behind him and not expect miracles rich

I thought we stuck up for stalle we wanted him to succeed but results dont lie

This board are the worst in our history and should look at themselves .Moxey has presided over the whole debacle for long enough and should resign now, Bring in some football people . Morgan make some big decisions now. or ship out, His silence is almost deafening. I have supported this club for over 50 years and have never felt so ashamed, our lowest point?

06 Jan 2013 09:22:51
Sean O'Driscoll in talks with Barnsley for vacant manager position. I do hope Wolves pull a good one from the hat because there are no real options barring RDM or Curbsishley. In other news thank god MacLeish went to Forest.

Here we go again Wolves fans objecting to a potential manager. Remember this. Last Feb WE got MM sacked only then to be managed by his assistant to end of the season and not a game won. Now in the position of looking for our 4th manager in a year we want people like Dalglish I read. We are Wolves and I hate to say it we are a big name in history only and we need to cut our cloth accordingly those objecting remember last year Steve Bruce was offered the job then because of our fans moaning the offer was withdrawn he now sits 2nd in the championship with what was a worse bet for that last yr than Wolves. Be careful what you wish for.

Ok guys here is my take on the past 24 hours:

Stale is an unlucky guy, there is a chelsea style group withinin the team, instead of terry lampard cole drogba malouda, its stearman johnson SEB ikeme davis henry! This is a fact! The same thing happened here as it did to AVB at chelsea, these players were not in the future plans of the manager, could adapt to how he wanted to play, but knew at the present they were irreplacable, so they stopped trying, ganged up on the manager, went to owners n CEOs saying the manager was terrible and it wasnt working! Manager gets sacked, so the players are back in control!

The board had 2 options, telling the players that this is it, like it n change or attitude, or lump it n move on.... Or move the manager on hoping the players would respond to the new guy!
Dean saunders is very good friends with steve morgan, this is why he is no1 favorite in the bookies, n if you look at the betting, all front runners are coaches, nice blokes, wont rattle a few feathers, exactly like EDM at chelsea, the players may well respond to these as they will just feed their ego!

The club will never move on untill this group is moved on, just like at chelsea, drogba gone, malouda frozen out, lampard allowed to leave, the players no longer hold the power as theres not enough in the "click"... Untill this happens at wolves the club will just keep going through managers, just like at the bridge!

Wolvesruss

Agree mate 100%, I said a while ago this was going on they are poison within our Club, no matter who gets the job they will have the same problem until this group are moved on. P.J.

It is staggering that the management have sacked three managers in a year, two have been poor choices in the circumstances, and they allow a clique of under performing players to dictate their choices. Classic example of how to ruin a business and destroy a club....sheer incompetence. So will this fill the new stand?

That is simply the most intelligent thing I have read on this side in years!

Dan Wolves

Cheers Dan.

I would take Dean Saunders done a great job at donny listen to his interviews he knows his stuff plus people keep going on about di canio Robinson ince he's done better than all of those plus when di matteo took over at Sandwell he was at mk dons and he got them promoted

06 Jan 2013 07:30:02
Will you all please stop moaning about DS already. After the MM sacking debacle and the current state of affairs, we should count ourselves lucky that anybody wants the job!

06 Jan 2013 07:24:04
right to all wolves fans that will be going friday. WHAT IS DONE IS DONE ! it is time to back our team regardless and get behind the team at the matches, we are not gonna change the board and the new manager will need our support regardless who he is, the players have got to get us out of this and we are not going to change the team drastically this transfer window. So to all real fans who will be down there friday sing your hearts out for the lads.

06 Jan 2013 03:00:12
Go go for Di Canio
He, ll take no sh.t off the clique and Moxey

Trust me neither will Saunders.

06 Jan 2013 01:28:53
It won't be Saunders, Morgan has put us through enough ****. he needs his early birds doesn't he. he's ****ing it in case he doesn't fill the ground. it's got to be a fan favourite this time surely?

06 Jan 2013 00:59:01
Personally I think Wolves should go for one of these three:

Paulo Di Canio - lots of passion for the game, young, plays good football, wouldn't be afraid to give our players a good dressing down when required.

Sean O'Driscoll - More experienced manager who plays good football and is simililar to MM in that he's good at getting the best out of player. Also, he's wolves through and through which means it would add even more passion.

Gordon Strachan - More experienced yet again, someone the players would probably be scared of. Knows a lot about the game.

there are definitely a few other managers I'd like to see down at the mol (Di Matteo, Ray Wilkins, Darren Ferguson, Paul Ince and maybe Mark Hughes), but I think these are less likely than the three I mentioned. Also, although the site looked a little dodgy I saw something about MM being about 16/1 or something like that which surprised me. I'm not saying that we we should try to get him back though. I also heard that Morgan sacked Solbakken by text, which shows that surely he's a bit of a mouse. Up the Wolves!

Hertfordshire Wolf

P.S I wonder if Stale is still interested in becoming a scout? (Sarcasm)

06 Jan 2013 00:20:56
saunders is not going to be manager he will
be assistant..
mark hughes is the new manager

Why would ds step down from his no1 position to be a number 2 under Hughes!!

I do think though that Hughes may yet be the surprise appointment!

Wolves moose

Ds couldnt keep donny up and knows he would have more chance of going to prem with wolves thats why he would step down to assistant

06 Jan 2013 00:02:13
So new manger coming but same backstabbers on the pitch in Henry, Doyle, Foley, Ward and Berra.
How long before they try to get our next manager sacked then?

Agree 100% player power rules at the wolves.

Yep totally agree, this band of 5 need booting from our club.
complete trash

How can anyone say that Berra was a backstabber when he was in talks for a new contract. He credited Stale with working to improve his game and also played for the team after initially Stale had said he was not in his plans.
