I hear so much talk about Doyle when the transfer windows open. Its always the same old stuff he gets linked to this team and that team. Then every time he commits to WOLVES. And every time people on these sites always say the following:
If they offered X amount i'd snap their hand off,
goals win games and Doyle don't score &
there's no place for sentiment in football.
Some key points here though, one yes everyone has their price tag, two Doyle does way more than just score goals why do you think prem teams such as Arsenal, Everton, Aston Villa and Reading have been linked with him in the past. And three if there is no place for sentiment in football why did Bully stay with us for all those years when he could of easily gone to division 1/prem teams.
For me I see Doyle as a great role model to all aspiring footballers and young pro's and if you cant see why you must be a complete and utter person! If every player had the same morals as Doyler football would be a much better and well off sport, he puts spoiled players such as Tevez, RVP and Modric to shame in that sense

Great post mate. I got slated for saying something similar when we sold Fletch ( money grabbing glory hunter) who seems to have dried up.
Doyles problem is he isn't greedy off the pitch and he's not greedy enough on it. He needs to sort the 2nd part out.
I remember when Doyle got injured in our run-in a couple of years ago... He had run his socks of all season and was instrumental in everything good we did... He still does that and is a loyal guy, difference is that he was playing in a team he knew well and knew him and how we are playing. THAT WILL COME AGAIN IMO! As long as he keeps working when things gel and we have regular and reliable and consistent players around him he will continue to contribute above his weight and come very good again...
Because Doyle don't score bags of goals and the opposition seem to single him out sometimes, it is easy for fans to use him to take out their frustrations. If at one point this season Doyle isn't available to play a game for us I bet that we don't look as good without him. we saw last Saturday that when he is on form he's unplayable. Considering how well we did last week with KD, SEB and BBS i would consider going 4-3-3 with the following players:
SEB as LS
Doyle as CF
Siggy as RS
Sako as CAM
Doumbia as left cm
Henry as right cm/cdm
Ward as LB
Berra as CB
Johnson as CB
Foley as RB
