stale will get no money lutons his last game just doing the final bits with owen coyle, then he is our next manager im afraid to say this is the calibre of manager we can only attract now, look at the dreadful results bolton went on.

If this does happen, which it could, then at least the players will have a motivator for their manager, and somebody who plays a straightforward attractive game instead of somebody who continually confuses them with complex tacticts. Solbakken should have gained the confidence and respect of the players by playing a system they could easily understand, and then gradually make the changes he wanted.

with all the loanee's coming back, do you think wolves should was their hands with hammill or give him another chance? seeing the lack of options on the flanks at the moment.

Hearing big rumours from a reliable source that stale wants Tony Daley out of the wolves backroom staff.... we have looked awfully unfit and tired recently

Daley couldn;t even keep himself fit so chance the team got

That would only be using Daley as a scapegoat. Look at his recruits so far and tell me you are confident that Stale knows what he is doing.

Are we really tying to lable Daley the scape goat? The team was very fit under MM.

I wasnt trying to lable him as a scapegoat with my original post but the source told me that its just a matter of time as Stale wants all his own men in his backroom team. CravenWolf

Tony daleys almost as fat as SEB, he's a discrace to his role and just shows what a poor set up we have at the club that he got a job here in the first place.

On princible he shouldnt of even had an interview after costing 2million plus and being able to count his apearances on my hands for the club.

The clubs infested with poor staff who make poor decisions who are poor at there jobs.

Solbakken has never put emphisis on fitness, he had the same problem at FC Koln, but instead does a lot of talking about tactics on the traing ground. Don't blame Daley, we've been fit enough other seasons.

ok question who do you want as manager no matter who has been mentioned there not good enough
were not going to get anybody who can walk into any prem team not even mourinho or guardiola or any body of substance , admit salbaken is useless
just a question to find out
so who do you want ??

Kenny Hibbit/Steve Bull managerial partnership please!

SOD would at least stabilise our club and move us in the right direction. That's got to be better than the free fall we're in at the moment.

Can't see beyond, Di Matteo, or Coyle

03 Jan 2013 20:35:07
Can't believe ss is seeking talks about January funds and targets! Surely most clubs would already have this covered off!? Maybe the powers that be know what is around the corner so they won't give him the funds to spend?

The report in the E&s that said KH and RJ are completely behind the manager was to cool the fans down following messages from fans on twitter asking players if they know what the shirt means and that they are disgusted at lack of effort and passion etc.

The reality is the players aren't behind the manager in fact many have complained to the board they don't understand Stales tactics etc.

A new manager will be unveiled just as soon as Morgan has struck a deal with his man and nothing will be announced before.

The current favourite is Coyle as Morgan likes his passing style and also his sound knowledge of the championship and the English game in general.

with all our new appoimtments behind the scenes forget about a change of coach stalle will get a rollicking and told to park the bus as arry did against chelsea forget zonal marking for the time being as mccarthy would say and get the players to put a shift in

03 Jan 2013 20:23:34
Get Roy Keane in, Not bothered about him as a manager but at least he would give the overpaid lazy good for nothing's a good kick up the backside!

A wise man once said this time last year. "Be careful what you wish for." 12 months on and Wolves fans haven't learned. What a mess. What is a new manager going to realistically do apart from feed those deluded wolves fans with the satisfaction that one person has wrongly paid the price for those that should really be held accountable. The problem is at the root of the club, . Stale is trying to change that by putting the correct structure in place. This is not Football Manager, you can't ship out a whole team and replace it with another in one transfer window. The players he has brought in are better than the rest of the dross left by McCarthy who managed to hypnotize us into thinking that our squad was premiership quality. If that was the case how come more of our players haven't been snapped up. Then they were 7 average championship players with 3 average premiership players and Stephen Fletcher. Now 3 of them have gone which exposes the flotsam and jetsam that's left. Stale given time will prove these people wrong and if that means League 1 then so be it if we get rid of the cancer within the club. Norwich did it , now look at them. And by the way any chance We could give the guy a little respect by spelling his name correctly. S T A L E.

I dont blame Stalle, its the owner and his pupet and the useless players who think they run the club.

Did you deliberately spell his name wrongly lol

Can spell it both ways actually, dont tell me im wrong as i lived in sweden and norway for years.

And yeah blame stale as he's just as poor at his role as moxey and morgan are at theres.

If this person wanted to bring in a new lot of technical and continental players y did he ship out players like gideoura and milijas who were our best out and out footballers, they could paly good passing football and those he has brought in are not as good as you think as none have matched there price tag. I know you will say sako but he hasnt scored or got an assist in 6 weeks. n we make the same mistakes every week which is the managers fault for not sorting. If mick was here we would be hard to beat against good sides and score plenty when we could, we needed a proven goalscorer and he bought siggy. i like him but hes a kid who has pitched in ocasionally, not setting the league alight!!

lets be honest alarm bells rang when ss never changed our defence after watching all those CDs of last season, any manager with a ounce of football knowledge would have changed our back four, we have a forward playing left back(I personally think ward is more effective on the wing or upfront think back to when we beat west brom 2seasons ago at home)our midfield he has tried to change sako can't play two halves of football and has now hit the wall along with doumbia (what a joke that is)forwards who struggle to score for 3 seasons so we sign 1 striker in siggy we play him on the right wing, tactics there doesn't seem to be any we don't create hardly any chances which in itself IMO should be worrying the board and i think its time they are honest to everyone and say we took a gamble and it backfired and sack ss ASAP as we look like a team heading 1 way and that's down.

I agree that even if you changed our back four to Barker, Corbett, Morecome and Wise they still wouldn't be as laughable as this lot. However in Stale I trust.

Dennis Wise was a midfield player.

Very droll

Look at what's happening in front of them. Didn't someone once say that a team defends from the front?

03 Jan 2013 16:14:48
Why would a manager want to come to our club? They are given no time, backing or support from the fans whatsoever. Maybe if we got behind them like we used to things would be a little easier for them and play withess pressure, but no. No patience at all no support.

S$$t fan ^^^^

I agree with the general sentiment of this. SS hasn't been given a chance, firstly his appointment was delayed until July, presumably M&M didn't want to pay him earlier, this didn't give him much time. Secondly they sold out his two best players for £24m and gave him little time to replace. He did well to get the players in that he did and has been very unlucky with injuries. He has inherited a squad that was largely McCarthy's failed combination. McCarthy spent a lot of money bringing in new players after promotion very few of whom have done anything, so SS is also restricted on wage bill and can't get rid of the dross. Finally he has players who aren't committed to the cause, talk about a poisoned chalice! Add to this an unrealistic fan base and unsupportive Board I'm surprised he hasn't quit, no-one in their right mind will want to replace him.

Yes we only gave mick McCarthy 6 years because he was liked by the fans and the team were doing well.

whats everyones thoughts on Karl robinson fromMK Dons?

No, No bloody NO. P.J.

He is the manager of MK Dons. Those are my thoughts.

03 Jan 2013 16:05:38
anyone else notice that since SS hired patrick weiser is where it all started to suffer?

We all can see that the players dont seem to be willing to fight for the club so I think we should be playing the likes of Doherty(who had a solid game v liverpool in prem), Batth who must be wondering what he has to do to get a chance, Zeli, cassidy and Mcalinden

Yes because Zeli really set MK Dons on fire. Started once and subbed before half time. Just shows that you do actually need to know a little about football to be a manager.

The question to all Wolves fans out there is 'do you want new Wolves - the club with players who turn up week in week out 30K-40K per week who prior to joining new nothing of Wolverhampton, the club or its history and are looking for the next carrot to be dangled' or have 'real footballers who care, those who burst and gut week in week out for cause but are inferior in ability, players we can relate to who may lack style but give it a go'. If you wish for the latter, let's shake things up, say thanks but no thanks to Stale and his foreign legion. Let's call on Big Sam (when he's relieved of his duties in the summer at West Ham) and until then bring in an interim boss, Thewell I feel is a key cog in the Molineux team and must be kept at all costs. As for this transfer window get in a few old heads to steady the ship along on loans with Frimpong signing on permanent, who I see as a big player moving forward, during the summer cash in on Sako, Doumbia, Margeriter (none of which I see as stayers) - keep Ohara as Big Sam I feel will have big plans for him and could reignite his career as he has done with many others before. The message to Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey is use this as a lesson learnt this is not the Wolves way, take step back and see the club through the fans eyes (we want to see the players show pride to wear the old gold shirt - effort, commitment, etc), install it, live it win/lose/draw but in the knowledge you or the team could give no more and you will then become one of us. COYW

Sorry to dampen your post but big Sam is staying at whu gold and Sullivan want him to stay n he wants to stay as well

Why can't we have quality and commitment without spending a fortune (Swansea) they show it can be done but it took them time to create an ethos at the club which intakes giving a manager time to instil a philosophy. Wolves fans are so fickle it's untrue. Makes me sick when we boo and remain silent all game creating a nervous atmosphere that spreads on the pitch

03 Jan 2013 13:34:54
Well done in letting Doherty get cup tied. Perfect game on Saturday for him to stake a claim for a first team place but he will be in the stands watching. How much are these people paid to allow simple things like this go on.

03 Jan 2013 09:16:09
The whole wolves team needs to be gutted like a fish total clearout give them all away on frees so stalle can build different squad if hes not allowed then get rid of stalle

Not quite sure about that. Are these players as bad as we think? Surely they should be adequate to survive in this league? I bet if the manager went, and the senior players took charge, results would improve immediately. There is a deep rooted problem at this club. I do hate Moxey, but I am beginning to understand what he means when he says these players must do better

03 Jan 2013 07:41:02
I like SoD but we can't have him just cause he's a wolves fan he's never managed in the prem just another championship manager

mark Hughes done well at man city Blackburn and Fulham he can't be judged by his time at qpr

RDM why wouldn't he come to us cause he fluked the champions league know one knows of he would or not

Or we could go for mark robins who seems to do well everywhere he goes any other suggestions

Just hope interviews are being carried out under the radar this time so that we can sack SS and appoint new man immediately. Surely M&M have learnt a big lesson from the last debacle.

morning .hi ed how come a bookmakers , have opened betting on the next wolves manager do they know somthind we dont know ? owen coyle is the 3/1 fav deatteo is 16/1 {Ed001's Note - no, it just means someone has gone and put enough money on betting for the next Wolves manager that it is worth them opening a book on it. Bookies know very little, one of my best mates is from a family of bookmakers and he hasn't a clue and spends most of the transfer window asking me about transfers for their shops to set odds on.}

Thank you for that ed ps sorry for spelling jason wolves for life {Ed001's Note - no worries, I was gutted when I found out how little he knew. I always thought bookies had inside tips from footie, like they do from horse racing.}
