Should Saunders go

I posted last week that I have believed all along that Saunders is not the future at Wolves but I was willing to be converted to him if the team / club started to deliver.

Well after what can only be described as a brilliant weekend and congratulations to everyone as they are deserved due to their efforts whilst prompting them with the simple message "it has to continue" I have to conclude that my opinion has not changed.

You could argue that Middlesbrough are currently in dire form, as were Millwall and that Birmingham are like the Pakistan cricket team - you never know which team is going to turn up, the good or bad one so the results to a certain proportion can be ignored except for what it does to team spirit and confidence.

My concern is that the teams that have done well recently are not the first choices of DS.

De Vires - only playing because a tactics board got between Saunders head and Ikemes fist

Hunt - only playing because Peszko apparently stood up to Saunders

Davis / Doherty 0n extended runs - only playing because Sako is injured

Additionally, why when you are 3 up and goal difference may count at season end do you revert to defensive tactics, is it because you do not trust your defenders or only understand negative situations.

Sorry to be the party pooper but although the last two games have shown optimism I cannot see either the tactics or style of football advocated under Saunders helping the club post May

Hard to know which of the 7 dwarves you are - Happy or Grumpy?

Grumpy - I cannot get excited by short term wins against a team in shocking form or one who fluctuate all the time.

I want to support a team that
a) plays positive football
b) is managed by someone who understands tactics
c) has a plan, irrespective of what it is
d) is managed by a manager who knows his best 11

Why get excited by two results and think all the problems have disappeared, look at the table, results since Christmas, ability to sign players etc.

Papering over cracks, that is what Saturday and Monday was about but for those who fall into the "Dopey" dwarf category, it was seen as the salvation and future

Defensive tactics in second half against Blues because they were knackered after only 48 hours break. Blues had an extra day and were, after all the home team fighting after we outplayed them in first half. Barry

Sorry how has sako being injured mean the influx do Davis and Doherty, they are on the other side of the pitch? Ludicrous, considering they were playing before he was injured. And hunt was playing because he is better than peszko and Saunders doesn't rate him, nothing else. Plus you can only beat what is in front of you, doesn't matter who even though birmingham were in good form, they had just creamed palace. With Saunders we play more effective football than under solbakken, when we had no clue what was going on. Make your mind up do you really want disaster for the club, then go back to solcrappen

All I can say his keep up good work, deserves all the credit he can get if gets us out this mess, because the board havnt helped him one bit, moxey hasn't even said nothing since we went on losing run, supose we won't shut him up if we get out this mess and morgan, they will come out with same story, this won't happen again and we all now that it will, if nothing changes at board level, because they need to now what direction they are going and stick to it and get this great club up and running, the fans are the only ones who get behind them 100 per cent, its about time they gave we something to cheer about, then you will see your stadium full mr. morgan keep up good work deano

Downo's football is dull. We're papering over the cracks every week.

The team you need to support then with the list above is Man U. Don't be Bashful toddle off and support them.

Weather u think is football is dull or bril let's just keep in this div and if we are safe look at it then. until then back him to the hilt for these last 6 games. at least we are attackin a bit more than we did with solbacken

The football is dull - did you go to the Boro game - best match at home this season, it may not of been technically brilliant but not dull. The dull football. Finished at Christmas.

How can you say deanos football his dull, when he has not been backed by board, and most of playes at club were not brought in by him and he his fighting for every point to keep us up, he told you to forget prety football for this season because of the mess we are in, so judge him if he keeps us up and his then backed by mr money bags, then you can judge him

You're all just making excuses for him. Why has it taken this long for him to get going, playing a style of rubbish that the players are apparently used to? I hope this hoof ball merchant is gone at the end of the season come what may.

Doesn't matter how long it has taken him to get them playing again - the only thing that matters is that he HAS got them playing again. If that continues for the last few games that will suit most of us. The summer is then time for post mortems and re-building.

I think that Ebanks Blake will not sign a new contract until we have guaranteed our place in the championship for next season

Agree blake will not sighn if relegated, when he can still stop in this league scoring goals, deano wanted a striker who scores goals and at a big club in this division has been let down by board badly, hope we can stay up, and if so, board back him next year

He'd be doing the sensible thing in that case. He doesn't have to make his mind up till he knows what's on offer.

No one will sign a player with a broken leg.

To anybody who ever doubted what the problem with Moxey is then the SEB injury is the last straw.
Deano has somehow turned this shambles around and given a sinking ship half a chance. He asked for 1 thing and that was support in the transfer window in regards to getting in a striker but was told to " go with what you have got".
This will bite us on the bum and will be the difference in staying up or going down.
For mistake number ( i've lost count ) I demand, GET MOXEY OUT.

Think if board mess this up this time, after not backing deano, when he wanted loan players, then heads should roll in boardroom, because it will show that they havnt got a clue how to run f. c. just like to give credit were its due, and thank deano and players on there form at moment under presure, keep up the good work. oldgold

Anybody got any guesses as to who will be in the bottom three come the end of the season? Thinking (and hoping) it will be Bristol, Huddersfield and Blackburn or Barnsley.

Bad news about Blake and not sure about Dicko as replacement. Still believe we can do this. C'mon Wolves!

Well b city have gone, hudersfield, barnsley, posh and blackburn take your pic, i'd go for barnsley and blackburn. it might do blackburn fans some good the venkys will sell up. and that's got to b good news for the fans.

Blackburn now lost both of their keepers which won't help them much!

Bristol gone like you say, then it's take your pick from several clubs up to mid-table. You got to look at the form of each team though and fingers crossed we have got some form and goals in us at the right time. Blackburn look in big trouble.

Blackburn have lost their two first choice keepers, yes. And so have we!

Yes but we still have an experienced keeper in de vries!

Yes, just as well De Vries has stuck with us. We have to hope he doesn't get injured too. Teams will know we lack depth in goal and will go in to him strongly and he also might be injured 'accidentally'.

Would not like to say who would be in bottom 3, just glad we are not at moment, if had lost over easter we would of been dead and buried, has it his with great win at bham we have a chance

Well it looks like Pez' is off at the end of the season.
Pity he looked useful when he played.
All the best for the future and good luck.

Where has he said that he's going?

WILKO

He will go to a club at least of equal stature to ours if not bigger. And if there is any truth in the price tag of 500k, it's a steal and a real shame.

Thanks Pez, I wish you well.

And here is hoping we haven't seen the last of SEB too

Try the e+s online, it was mentioned on the site early this morning.

Why r people bothering to slag Deano off any manager that leaves Henry Berra and ward out of the starting 11 must know a bit about the game

Yes, I thought his team selection was a bit iffy at first but now he seems to manage to pick the best starting 11 from the squad.

I don't think we can blame him for the lack of incoming players.
