Likability for me it has to be Tim Sherwood. Other 2. both awful personalities. ide give it to Sherwood. better man manager.

31 Oct 2016 23:17:27
Seems too late now but ian Holloway has a better track record on no money than any of the three. Not just the miracles at Blackpool. He has got the personality to get the team pulling together and he already knows all the problems we've got in the squad.

31 Oct 2016 23:49:49
Ian Holloway was my first choice from day 1. no idea why we've not heard about any approach for him.

01 Nov 2016 15:33:48
Mainly because he couldn't manager a piss up in a brewery.
Totally inept Manager with a big ego and nothing else. he is even crap at trying to talk a good game.

01 Nov 2016 23:54:26
Spanish Wolf. you reffering to Sherwood or Holloway?

31 Oct 2016 22:45:58
Any one of the three on the shortlist would be a good choice. For me they they have all past success on their CV's and they are all experienced Managers (except perhaps Sherwood but he had a very good record at Spurs, which is no mean event) . Yes they have all been sacked at some time but how many Managers haven't. My preference would be Lambert who did a great job at Norwich getting them promoted twice. Please would the people that keep harping on about Steve Bruce move on. Steve Bruce has a far from impressive record overall and Wolves fans didn't want him a few years ago. He's not available move on!

31 Oct 2016 22:13:30
Rather give Keith Curle the job doing miracles at Carlisle than pay big bucks for any of the three listed sherwood lambert Pearson mmm no for me.

31 Oct 2016 20:28:51
Out of the 3 got to be Tim what he did at spurs was good . Villa all over the place should not of lost his job . He has the biggest point to prove . And I want are club to benefit from that . He is a motavater of players and worked with Harry at spurs so let's just get it done . He will make big decisions as he will not want to go down the same way zenga did . Pearson and Paul not for me Pearson had derby near relegation zone no thanks Jeff shi not so stupid as to do that . And Paul just don't motavate players . That is just my forts on the situation.

31 Oct 2016 21:28:47
Can't imagine Pearson would be too happy having to work with Mendes. Mind you it could be interesting - with Pearson's short fuse I think Jeff may need an ambulance on speed dial.

31 Oct 2016 22:53:33
Pearson needs to go to anger management first.

31 Oct 2016 20:24:13
Well if its pearson, Lambert or Sherwood would probaly have Lambert, but I posted a couple of weeks back when walter was obviously going to be sacked that we should go get Mark Warbuton from Rangers, don't you remember how good Brentford were under him, has got Rangers back in the top flight.
Also I know won't be popular with a lot of Wolves fans but what about Glenn Hoddle coming back with Giggsy or the Guv'nor as his number 2,its a travisty he's out of management, I know last time it was dull, but with the sort of player we could attract now more cultured (hopefully) he would be joint top of my wish list along with Warburton. Whoever comes in please get behind him be it Pearson Lambert or whoever, can't stand some of the whingers on here who just want to knock the club.

REMEMBER "OUT OF DARKNESS COMETH LIGHT".

31 Oct 2016 20:40:45
If Hoddle would come back, Yeh that would be a good step forward.

31 Oct 2016 23:28:13
You can't be serious. I don't know how old you guys are, but to suggest Hoddle after how he treated our club is shameful. He didn't even have the good grace to resign face to face, he did it over the phone. Also he was very much a failed Manager at Wolves, who in the main drew or lost games that we should have won. He showed very little Management skills at Wolves and his infamous last piece in the jigsaw the so called striker 'Frankowski' who never scored a goal for Wolves was laughable. So don't be fooled by his smarmy Sly Sports persona.

01 Nov 2016 09:53:43
Agree FRANKO don't want him near the place Hoddle what a ****er he was, how he is still talking football and getting paid for it after he was at Wolves is beyond me.
It looks like Pearson, Lambert or Sherwood whoever we get we need to get behind him and give him our full backing.

31 Oct 2016 19:03:51
Got to be Pearson then at this level. Look where his Leicester team got to.
Derby chairman is a bit erratic, a bit like our old chairman.

{Ed041's Note - Pearson would be a disaster mate. Hes a bully. He nearly got Leicester relegated with a team that went on to win the league.

31 Oct 2016 19:33:40
Please not Pearson - would doubt Fosun would go with his personality. Not a great time to sack the manager with only failed managers out there. Why we didn't get Bruce when he was available beats me. We are in danger of trying to make these managers fit the club rather than identifying a stand out 'wolves style' championship savvy, fan approved manager. It's like trying to buy champagne and accepting Babycham - unpalatable!

31 Oct 2016 19:35:22
who do you suggest?

31 Oct 2016 19:51:48
Nobody that's available. Rich club still shopping in the bargain basement. Why aren't we trying to prise a good manager away from an existing position?

31 Oct 2016 19:55:15
Fan approved? Get a grip, it was bitching fans that gave Morgan cold feet concerning Bruce, I get the feeling the majority of wolves fans would moan if Alex Ferguson was rumoured to be interested, just because he can be a bit controversial&abrasive at times.

31 Oct 2016 17:51:52
We wouldn't get him but by far and away head and shoulders above any of the names mentioned we should break the bank and get Martin o Neil. a man of integrity and knows football inside out.

31 Oct 2016 17:34:01
we need someone to shake the tree to much matey matey get rid of tony daley (fitness coach you are joking mate they can't run for half hour) my choice would be big sam if not pearson would be the best of the rest but who ever gets it they will have my backing onwards and upwards COYW!

31 Oct 2016 17:23:08
Get MM back simple.

31 Oct 2016 14:18:45
Whoever gets the managers job, if they drop Danny Bath they get my vote. I have never seen a centre back scared of the ball as much as him, and that first Norwich goal, he wimped out.

31 Oct 2016 16:47:19
With you there, div1 player at best and certainly not a captain.

31 Oct 2016 19:15:22
Danny Batth will play for England. The defensive problems are coaching issues: but will improve when Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany join in next window.

31 Oct 2016 13:01:05
Martin O'Neill is the man we should be going after he'd soon have us ship shape learnt from the best in Brian clough.

31 Oct 2016 13:25:42
Go and get Quique Sanchez Flores from espanyol. He did a great job at Watford and knows the championship/ prem. Managed some very good teams in the past as well. He won't be on a long contract so it won't cost an arm and leg. Failing that try to temp an existing tried and tested away. Forget about the greedy Sam! We need someone who has some integrity and he clearly hasn't! If had a different matter. 😉.

31 Oct 2016 15:18:25
Who ever we get the main problem is our formation we are crying out for 4231 with the players we have with price and Saiss holding or coady and saiss with Costa tex and cav with bod or dicko up front defence where do you start lol.

31 Oct 2016 16:08:53
If you want Martin O Neill because he learned off Clough, why not give Roy Keane a go seeing as he learnt off Clough and Ferguson. Just because you player under a good manager doesn't mean you'll make a good manager. Look at Butcher, Keane, Robson etc.

31 Oct 2016 10:27:33
Out of the names being mentioned I'd have to go with Paul Lambert. He did good job at Norwich. Got them promoted from league 1, then promoted again the season after and kept them in the Premier League. His record at Villa wasn't good but Villa had some underlying issues which saw off quite a few managers, most notably drastic cuts to the budget, which he won't have to deal with at Wolves. As for his stint at Blackburn I think we saw on Saturday that that is another club with off field issues which can also effect performance on the pitch.

31 Oct 2016 10:02:15
As I stated previously in my post I really do think the outstanding candidate for the wolves job would be billy davies. Against all the other candidates that are supposedly in the frame for the job, billy davies's cv blows these candidates out the water! The wolves owners are stating that the new manager has to have experience at being successful in the championship, previously with other clubs. Well davies's experience and success rate at that level puts all the others mentioned to shame. I like the wolves as i've already said and would really want your owners to go for billy davies. Truly if I was like some of you guys as wolves diehards and season ticket holders i'd phone in with the suggestion of billy davies to your hierarchy. Don't know how much they'd listen to you guys but truly guys I really do think it would be worth a try! Good luck to the wolves!

31 Oct 2016 12:26:08
AndyGray don't waste your breath you exaggerate his cv yet omit that he leaves every club under a cloud a big cloud.
He is like Morinho he picks a fight with his own shadow and that is why he will not make a good manager.
Don't waste your breath.

31 Oct 2016 08:28:52
Looking back to the heady excitement of the takeover the chill of winter has landed on us big time. If Fosun had really studied our history they would have realised that sacking managers without a plan B is a recipe for disaster and they have done it twice in 3 months. How much longer does this club keep on making itself a laughing stock before it learns even the simplest lessons. It isn't rocket science.
Never mind about being big in Italy or China how about being big in Wolverhampton.

31 Oct 2016 06:23:09
I feel totally underwhelmed with the vast majority of people being linked with the vacancy and it is clear that a strong character is needed to clear up this mess. Personally I don't think big Sam is interested and although Chris Hughton would be ideal why would he want to leave Brighton? I know many would question my sanity but I do feel that it may be time to have Mad Mick back. Never a great Premier League manager to me but he is one of the best Championship managers and could certainly turn this shower around. He has brought stability to Ipswich with no investment and I have no doubt that with the financial investment that Fosun have to offer he could bring a smile back to our faces. When I heard the likes of Pearson, Freedman, Lambert etc mentioned with the post I knew it was time to go back to the Future and these are all a lot worse than Mick at this level.

31 Oct 2016 08:16:01
Paul great post mate. Unfortunately the only viable candidates available with championship experience are the ones you mention. There will be many upset fans on any appointment. Paul Clement has not been mentioned. My vote so far goes to mad mick!

31 Oct 2016 09:14:50
MM will never bring a smile to my face he has proved conclusively he is not a Premiership manager, he does not have the necessary qualities. Yes I agree one of the best ever for the Championship, OK use him to get out then ditch him because I and many many more will not pay a penny to watch him flounder in the Premier he just is not that good.
