What did people think of bs tonight

Had such little time on the ball it's hard to tell. Had a couple of surges forward but nothing came of them.

Playing with the dross that turned out in the first half didn't do him any favours. Didn't look as sharp as Doumbia did.

theres no fletcher in the sqaud me thinks theres ,somthing fishy going on or is he still got a minor ankle knock ?

He's no good mate, you really should be looking elswhere........!

That ankle knock is obviously very contagious - no Jarvis, kightly or Ohara either.

sunderland fan here cud yous tell me if fletcher is as good as martin oneill obviously thinks he is or should we be spending that sort of money on some1 else ?

If Fletcher plays regulary and stays injury free he will score you 20 goals a season. My reckoning, 20 goals a season striker costs 15m, A bargain at 10!

No take ur stinking money and shove it!

He's good, he's proven his worth in two rubbish sides now in the Prem. He's also a hard worker and does have a bit of flair on the ball when he wants. I can't think of any other British based strikers (and he's still only 25) who you could get for £15m and cheap wages.

Naaaaa dont listen hes crap u dont want him !!

Are you Martin O'Neil trying?

Thanx 4 the sensible answers lads (lasses) , i havnt seen a lot of him but he scored 11 goals last season nd apparently mm and tc played him out of position at the latter end of the season , if he can score 20 goals a season nd stay injury free i wud def take a chance on him for 15 mill , he cant b any worse than bendtner nd gyan !! lol thanx again for the info nd good luck 4 next season hope 2 see yous season after . ( hopefully not in the championship lol

Check out his strike rate ratio, its excellent for playing in such a poor side, and scores the most goals with his head last season. But...... you cant av him, unless you pay 15 miilion so forget it lol

Definitely don't waste your money on Fletcher.

(Is that £25m you have, sir?)

{Ed011's Note - Should we accept a deal for Fletcher including Connor Wickham? Sunderland paid £8million for him not so long ago but he has suffered injuries since then. In my opinion I wouldn't accept anything less than £15million AND Fletcher wanting to go - I'd reject £15m if he was happy to stay because I think he'll be invaluable for us under Stale in the next few years.

I agree ED, if Fletch wants to stay then we should keep him whatever offer Sunderland make.

If he wants to leave then personally I think 12m plus Conner Wickham would be a great bit of business.

Why would we want another sicknote ,we got plenty of our own.
Keep Fletcher at any cost ,pay him premiership wages cos he is worth it

Fletch is worth at least 15m for us plus if they want us to train Wickham for a year then we need to charge them an extra fee for that service.

I don't know how easy it is to put a price tag on someone like that. If he wants to move then we take the highest offer. If he doesn't then we'd only listen to even higher offers, although we're probably not going to get £20m for him no matter how hard to get he/we play this.

Don't know much about Wickham. Only sign him if he's really wanted. Don't want another Mulgrew situation.

As far as I know and have posted on the main rumor page , Wickham is only a season long loan deal.I know Sunderland spent quite a few quid on him (eight million with add on's ) so even if Sunderland came back with ten million plus Wickham that would cost them eighteen million all up , so it would be cheaper to buy Fletcher for fifteen million and have two strikers. My opinion is Fletcher should be kept at all costs and would be invaluable to us in the championship.
Gibo.

Apparently the big roumour around Portman raod all summer is that Ipswich are getting CW back on loan. It was Bruce that signed him and O'Neil seems to think he needs more experience prior to having a go at the Prem!

Whilst I think CW has bags of potential if he was worth 9million with a fee rising to 11million based on prem games played I feel that Fletch is worth a straight 15mil.

If Fletch was to leave and I hope he doesnt! then I would much rather have the money used bringing in somebody on a permanent move!
