Joey Barton anybody?
Proven at this level and would provide the steel and competitiveness we desperately need in midfield.

30 Nov 2016 21:10:31
No thanks.

30 Nov 2016 21:15:55
Need that type Oxley. A cloned Mike Bailey would be perfect. Barton has baggage and could be disruptive.

01 Dec 2016 17:13:24
Maybe but baggage can be lightened if packed and managed correctly plus form is temporary class is permanent.
We desperately need a LEADER by example on the pitch Batth is not the answer he was a much better player with the burden of Captaincy.
Agree oh for another Mike Bailey or Emlyn Hughes!

Correct me if I am wrong. But in 60 yrs going to the Wolves I don`t recall us losing on a Thursday night live on TV. The omens look good!

01 Dec 2016 11:52:20
Didn't we lose to Leeds on a Thursday night live game last season?

01 Dec 2016 16:25:48
Drat!

02 Dec 2016 10:02:25
Look on the plus side, we've never lost away from home live on TV on a Thursday! :o)

Did Fosun never look at the Solbakon experiment of loading us up with foreign untested players. We are a club with spectacular failures to our name, all avoidable with a bit of common sense. Where is Jeff Shi at the moment and where now is the statement of intent to sort this out . Come out of hiding and show us the money.
We might as well have a foreign manager because Lambert doesn't speak a form of English that I understand so how does he communicate with the players especially the foreign ones.

30 Nov 2016 18:01:22
I don't have any problems understanding him and I'm certainly not a Scotsman!

30 Nov 2016 19:32:12
I hope he can understand the black country accent.

What is becoming increasingly clear is that the main issue with the club is Thelwell.
Lets not forget that he has publicly stated that he has authorized every transfer.
Therefore since his time in post as sporting director / head of recruitment, his record looks like this.

Season 12/ 13
Louis Harris Free
Jamie Tank £20,000
Frank Nouble Free
Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson £2,400,000
Georg Margreiter £2,000,000
Abdoulrazak Boukari £3,000,000
Bakary Sako £3,000,000
Lee Evans Nominal

Season 13/ 14
Samuel Ricketts Free
Scott Golbourne £700,000
James Henry £250,000
Michael Jacobs £300,000
Nouha Dicko £300,000
Ethan E banks Landell Signed
Tongo Hamed Doumbia Signed
Kevin Mc Donald Signed
Bradley Reid Signed
Leon Clarke £750,000
Kortney Hause Signed
Season 14/ 15
Tommy Rowe Free
Rajiv van La Parra Free
George Saville £1,000,000
Tomasz Kuszczak Free
George Swan Free
Jordan Graham Undisclosed
Benik Afobe £2,000,000
Season 15/ 16
Jed Wallace £275,000
Conor Coady £2,000,000
Nathan Byrne £1,000,000
Sylvain Deslandes Free
Michał Żyro £350,000
Will Randall Undisclosed
Mike Williamson Nominal
Season 16/ 17
Andy Lonergan Undisclosed
Sílvio Undisclosed
Jón Daði Böðvarsson £1,000,000
Prince Oniangué £2,200,000
Paul Gladon £1,000,000
Romain Saïss £3,400,000
Ivan Cavaleiro £7,000,000

Thats 32.15 million, with arguably only 6 of the above list being of any value or players that we consider good enough.

15% success rate!

How many more people (managers) can become his scapegoat, whylst he remains at the head of the chain and gets off scott free?

Until Thelwell is removed we will never move forward regardless of investment!

with the greatest respect you can prove anything with statistics. For starters you can take out the "Mendes" signings from the stats since Mr Thelwell had minimal involvement.
There are successes in your list, Afobe springs immediately to mind plus numerous bargains, e. g. Zyro, Graham, Williamson, Mac Donald, Henry, etc.
Look at the signing record of other clubs to compare e.g Villa and WBA - longer lists and much bigger money.
In conclusion, if you are looking for scape goats look at the owners who have clearly underestimated the quality required for the Championship. In addition, also look to the players, several (perhaps all) of whom are currently underperforming. The players will improve and regain form but clearly that needs to be soon if we are to get out of the drop zone.

you can also realise facts with statistics too mate.
