Here is the problem,
"We have had some great moments to look back on, especially the performances in the FA Cup against Liverpool and Stoke, and I'm confident that this current group of lads can push on next season to compete with the best in the league.
" Lambert. He also wanted sole charge of transfers in it seems. Who would agree?

30 May 2017 22:16:31
Lee evans and saville would lead us to the promised land.

30 May 2017 22:16:37
The cup run papered over the cracks! It was a dire season!

30 May 2017 23:04:44
Total agreement. Stoke and Liverpool provided two never to be forgotten moments in what was a dire season in which we flattered to deceive every now and them
N best performances by far were reserved for away games, results from which saved us from relegation. Home form was p robably as bad as I have seen and began supporting and watching in 1957. No pattern, no style and no fight. it really was a season to forget.
Hoping we develop a style of play that is adventurous and exciting because we have had very little to put a smile on our faces in recent years.

31 May 2017 03:27:00
The fa cup is a great cup we had two very good matches stoke and Liverpool, and the Chelsea was great too! The atmosphere was great and we played with passion I really don't mind going and watching my team loose occasionally as long as they put in there best performance like they did against Chelsea . but we went from a team who did that in the cup to a team that looked like they had never seen a football pitch games lik Wigan blues Cardiff all at home . Sutton had a good run in the cup that's what the fa cup is all about . Two great wins in a cup verses how many bad p! ss poor performances in the league . let's hope the coach/ manager will get it sorted UTW.

30 May 2017 21:10:17
Joe Hart on list.

31 May 2017 09:20:09
The list of goalkeepers we won't get?

31 May 2017 13:04:12
Joe Hart is willing to take pay cut. If he can be convinced by Nuno then there's no financial issue here. Heaton was in England squad as Championship keeper. It works.

30 May 2017 20:29:52
All fosun have done is revert to there original plan they had a manager lined up but he was offerered the spain job before the takeover was complete zenga was a panic appointment lambert tried n tested championship manager took on to steady the ship decision taken lambert not the man to move the club on nuno identified as the man he's managed porto and valencia this is a real coup for years niw a manager has had to work with the existing back room team so fair play fosun in getting rid n letting nuno bring his own men in now give him time and money objective next season play offs anything else is a bonus.

30 May 2017 20:10:15
All we can do now is get behind Santo make him feel welcome and make the Mol a fortress.

30 May 2017 20:16:32
Seconded Rated RKO.

30 May 2017 20:19:42
Agreed RKO. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

30 May 2017 21:29:46
agreed rko
the wolf is going to howl so loudly the bogies will wet themselves with fear.

30 May 2017 23:56:55
So Santo has 6 months to prove you guys were right to demand Lambert's head? That's all Lambert was afforded so in my eyes that's all you can allow Santo right? He'd better hit the ground running then because if results are not there then he will also have to go. At least he will get a pre-season to bring in his players and work with them, which was more than PL was allowed. I guess you all agree that it is the right way to build a team - swapping the coach every six months? By the way, if Mendes is the guy choosing the squad, surely he should then be the one held responsible if they don't work out? Can't keep blaming Thelwell if Mendez is calling the shots.

30 May 2017 19:31:27
Cannot believe the negativity from some on here about Lambert going. The guy was clueless! When he came the play offs were still a realistic target, instead we scraped survival with flukey wins over forest and Rotherham amongst others. Tactically inept, wrong selections and formations and played Saville every week. Seriously guys give your head a shake! His two signings were average at best but you slate Mendes. He completely failed in his job and has rightly gone. If he had succeeded we wouldn't be changing manager every 6 months as fosun admitted zenga was a mistake. At least we could relate to him and his passion. Who knows if nuno will succeed but I would lay money his football ain't going to be any worse than the dross Lambert dished up every week. No managerial appointment or player signing comes with any guarantee it will work but let's get behind him from the off and embrace the new era. I am not regretting my early bird anymore! COYW.

30 May 2017 20:03:28
With you south bank. Memories are short. I recall the whinging about Jackett when SM was selling and the absolute euphoria when the Fosun deal was announced and the club had little pre season to appoint a manager and get players in. OK if didn't work given the haste, but we tried with a manager who knew the Chamionship, but was not the real deal.

He saved us from relegation which I thought was de fo on the cards. Now we have a name as manager and a good shout at pre-season, and an owner with ambition. Who would not have given a right arm for that two seasons ago. Come on smell the coffee, we could have been div. 1!

30 May 2017 20:09:54
Thank you South that saved me posting that, more formations than the red arrows and playing 1up front at home ever week was a joke, as for Seville it was bad enough in midfield but at full back really, let's face it without Mendes we would not have had costa and without costa we would be in division 1 now, don't like changing managers but it was needed.

30 May 2017 20:23:18
The last 3 posts are the most sensible I've ever read on here. Spot on lads!

30 May 2017 21:08:39
Totally agree with you all. this new bloke might be the best manager in the world but that doesn't excuse the way Lambert has been treated. what has happened to our great club that they behave like this. sir Jack was a proper gent and would never behave like this. I for one would like to thank Lambert and wish him all the best. these same fans will be the ones moaning again in a few months time if results go bad.

30 May 2017 21:29:09
It might seem harsh but let's get real. Managers know the score when they sign their big money contracts. don't get into it if you can't accept what happens if you fail (and they know the definition of failure too) . Choose a different career. I have very little sympathy for Lambert or any other manager. You make your bed .

30 May 2017 21:33:00
Agreed Timtoo44. I wasn't a huge fan but, that's not the way to deal with this. Just an opinion! πŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

30 May 2017 19:10:59
Really.? yes things did need changing give Lambert the funds to get us up and he would have. he was left to work wanders with league 1 players. you lot know nothing at all. every where I've turned fans are saying the same as me. it must be the Paul tamworths of the world who are bored of watching rubbish and just want something intresting to happen which is new manager again.4 managers 2 foreign 2 British.2 managers given money to spend. who would you lot trust with it. i'd say the British. not two foreign goal keepers. work it out lads.

30 May 2017 19:25:28
Talk to any villa fan and they'll say how they felt exactly the same as Wolves fans under Lambert, boring football, Jacket boring football, at least with Walter the football wasnt boring, by the way 2 of the 3 managers who got promoted to the premier lge are foriegn, jump on enjoy the ride.
GodBless πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™.

30 May 2017 19:36:33
Your right Wednesfield wolf I am fed up of watchin rubbish year after year so yes change is good! Fingers crossed the new guy gets it right.

30 May 2017 18:38:06
Charles Ross been on radio WM earlier slaughtering what Wolves are doing how we've treated lambert, crucified mendez for having too much power at the club also says nunno will be no better than Zengha, don't you wish these so called fans would go to the smallthawnes and watch that dross with pulis, what ever happens at least fosun could see things needed changing, at least the football will be better surely.
GodBless you allπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™.

30 May 2017 18:44:21
Agree davetcb, Heard Charles Ross before he's stuck in a time warp doesn't understand how things move on and local papers and radio stations are anti any foreign set up. If it's not British with championship experience it's doomed! They obviously don't look at the top two league tables!

30 May 2017 18:51:02
How come Thelwell is still there? πŸ‘ŽπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

30 May 2017 17:45:59
Bookies now taking bets on the manager for Christmas. also expect a lot of foreign players. they should adapt and settle u guessed it by Christmas. don't think Shi gets it yet. that's after he lies to fans and himself lol.

30 May 2017 15:57:25
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. A bit late but worth the wait. Summer just started so excited I'm like a kid in a toy shop.

30 May 2017 16:19:54
It seems that paul gladon got what he wanted aswell. Only went and liked a link on twitter stating PL had gone. Oh dear, think it wasnt just fosun who were fed up.

30 May 2017 16:51:56
Let's be honest. Gladon is not the best player I have ever seen play the game.

30 May 2017 18:54:47
Agree but didn't bode well if players become disheartened . Think our main problems lie in midfield and defence . Not good enough. i'm sure dicko, mason, bodvarsson, ennis, enobakhare and even gladon can plunder enough goals per season if the midfield were more inventive and two strikers up front were played every week.
Especially in the championship.

30 May 2017 15:05:09
Well pt got what you wanted wonder how long this one will last be careful what you wish for.

30 May 2017 15:30:18
Pity it didn't happen in February. But it's happened now and well done Fosun getting rid of the backroom staff as well! The cosy club are finished, now the mediocre players arses must be twitching!

30 May 2017 15:50:17
Looking back to 30 years ago we were heading out the football league, ground was a state and liquidation. Remember against hartlepool the last home match when we reversed the slide there were donation buckets to save their club from what we nearly went through.
30 years on we have not millionaire owners but billionare owners who get what they want ( chinese don't settle for failure) .
Embrace it and be thankful that were not hartlepool and enjoy the ride and ambition our great club deserves.
top owners, now top manager along with players we broke the transfer records for and players to arrive ( roderick miranda ) that are a distant memory to jon purdie, john morrissey, matt forman, peter zelem, rickie herbert etc etc, no disrespect to those I've named .

30 May 2017 17:19:27
When is Thelwell going?

30 May 2017 17:22:21
Didn't John Morrissey present Animal Magic on BBC?

30 May 2017 22:33:07
Lol PT. OoD yes people have short memories, and success rarely comes overnight. What we have now is beyond our dreams two years ago, the most optimistic position for years. Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs.

30 May 2017 23:06:19
Brimble wolf, thought you would have remembered the mid 80s?, our john morrissey tried to play with a football not morris with animals.
All we could muster was the likes of tommy docherty as manager with other clubs rejects ie the above mentioned and throw in danny crainie, paul doughty, . Only good thing was the strip design lol.

30 May 2017 14:09:37
Good luck PL you deserved better.

30 May 2017 14:28:27
Yeah like a job in league 1 is about his level.

30 May 2017 14:50:52
3 promotions including 1 to the Premier League. 4 seasons in the Premier League as manager and never relegated. Not too bad a record.

30 May 2017 14:59:42
He only didn't have a relegation on his cv because he left villa! He's gone get over it or go and support whoever he ends up managing!

30 May 2017 15:11:12
Villa sack him that's why.

30 May 2017 16:01:08
PT and Dappa, you both really have a problem with me don't you? Or is it just anyone who has a different opinion to youse?

30 May 2017 16:23:10
You've been blowin Lambert from day one, he's gone now get over it and look to the future! Oh by the way your paranoid! If I didn't like u I'd tell u.

30 May 2017 16:36:02
Well hopefully Fosun have got this right. It seems that they are ruthless having got rid of the entire coaching team. Hopefully we'll go the same way as Man City rather than Blackburn.

30 May 2017 16:55:51
Here here Jas more positive. The Futures Bright The Futures Fosun πŸ‘.

30 May 2017 17:00:07
All these so called fans tht keep wanting success yesterday get your Head out the clouds it not going to happen PL should've been given the chance to mold a team he wonted wots going to happen to our youth players now this Santo is coming in hope I'm wrong and a bit worried.

30 May 2017 17:11:51
If the youngsters are good enough they will come through, just like cream rises to the top. But if their not? Fosun will be ruthless and rightly so! If u want success you can't carry anyone.

30 May 2017 17:18:21
Yeah not a bad record shame he forgot to bring it to the mol I was some one who wanted and did give him a chance telling all the then moaners to shut up and give him a chance . But when you watch poor performances week in week out find more entertainment from a blow up sheep then it's time to go . watching Birmingham match and wondering when he is going to put a couple of subs on and try and rescue a point . so long, farewell, glad to see the back of you . And you can say you think he did an alright job you have got low standards if I preformed that badly at work I would have been out of a job ages ago . PT is right roll on next season.

30 May 2017 17:30:39
It's not about carrying eney1 but young players need looking after thts the reason we have done good with BRITISH managers wake up Paul look wht jacket did with bomb squad look at the players lambert give a chance to.

30 May 2017 17:44:20
If u was a gardener and they asked u to shovel 2 tonne with a fork you would perform terrible they let him bring 2 player's in and hoped for a miracle face the facts Lambert was a stepping stone steady the ship the man's a better manager if given the time

30 May 2017 18:03:58
U still going on about Lambert Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz look at our league and the Premier league? The British managers were really successful.

30 May 2017 19:42:23
Chris houton zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

30 May 2017 20:13:42
One? Name another British manager who's team were in top 6 of Championship or Premier league this season? That's right, there wasn't one! U talk like Lambert Humpty,

30 May 2017 21:18:38
How meny BRITISH managers stay in a job for more then 3 years apart from wenger a lot more thn foreigners MATE fact.

30 May 2017 13:54:14
So; PL has gone and it seems that Nuno Espirito Santos (i. e. "Holy Ghost") will be confirmed shortly. Just imagine if we can sign Jesus from Citeh and Moses from Palace - we would be unstoppable!

30 May 2017 12:53:28
I know that this is not going to happen but just imagine if Thomas Tuchel was appointed instead.

30 May 2017 13:01:31
And Lambert took over at Dortmund in a straight swap.

30 May 2017 12:31:38
A new era dawns! Get the new manager and his team in and make sure all the new players are on board this month ready for preseason. Maybe now we can go on our hols and come back looking forward to a much better season. It would be great to keep Costa but I suspect his sale will pay for quality coming in.
Well I can have my rosy coloured specs on for a few days can't I?

30 May 2017 12:28:34
Wonder why it took so long to break the news we already knew? .
Wonder if PL might just have the last laugh even though the football was not very good at the Golden Palace under him?

30 May 2017 12:50:20
Yer just like the rest who have been in prem lambert mad mick dave Jones. Then you look at some who's been there as well . not doing so good.

30 May 2017 12:26:50
I wonder what Paul Tamworth reaction will be . I didn't see that coming . πŸ˜‚.

30 May 2017 12:15:53
Lambert gone and all background staff, pat mountain might stay.

30 May 2017 12:00:50
Well its happened.

Some ambition, some flair and some team building.

Exciting month ahead as I think all players will be in place by 26th June when they are back for pre season.

30 May 2017 11:59:19
Well he has gone . I wish him well but at last some ambition and to clear the decks of a failing coaching staff is vital.

I still believe there will be more changes at the top.

As for Mendes let's just embrace it for now.

30 May 2017 09:36:47
If it is true that whoever is WW manager will be presented with a list of 20 names to choose from ( and it's a big if given the reliability of ITK on here), what is so different in that from the traditional scouting system. No manager does all his own research on players, negotiations etc. The difference perhaps is using an agent but in this day and age perhaps it is an advantage in getting access to talent. Time to wait and see what happens - not something the majority of posters are good at - patience!

30 May 2017 07:56:35
Paul lambert said two weeks ago that it was business as usual since then he hasn't done anything well at least he has been consistent over the last 6 months . Hopefully good riddance to him and his boring football and lack of tactics and common sense.

30 May 2017 09:13:33
Absolutely Devastating news! πŸ˜ͺ If only Fosun had kept him for the next 10 years we may of achieved 8th place in the Championship! He's a massive loss! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

30 May 2017 11:35:16
Still not sent your cv in then Tamworth? Although i'm not sure fifa qualifies.
We all need to get behind the new manager and team and make Molinuex a fortress bumpy and exciting times ahead.
So no calling for the managers head after a defeat.

30 May 2017 11:56:52
It's going to be an interesting season!

30 May 2017 12:02:18
Everyone starts with a clean slate! But if Saville Coady and Evans start the first game of the season and we play one striker up front I will def be moanin! But I believe we've got a proper gaffer comin in who can put round pegs in round holes! πŸ‘.

30 May 2017 12:05:50
That's a quick u turn Paul!

30 May 2017 12:39:52
How's it a u turn? I've always wanted Lambert out! This guy and his team have to prove their up to the task? If Mourinho came in I'd be the same, it's not the gaffer I love it's my football team!

30 May 2017 13:55:55
" if only they had kept him for ten years".

30 May 2017 14:17:11
Lol, that was very tongue in cheek! i'm over the moon with what's happening and I'm sure it will attract another couple of thousand season ticket sales.
