Jackett had no money and did a great job keeping us safe. With some funds Jackett would have played good football but knew what he had. Lambert had money and still hoofed it and thank god he's gone.

Would keep your eyes on this young lad from Rio Ave. Fella called Gil Bastião Dias. Young winger who shows lot of potential who's been on loan from Monaco (standard Mendes link) .
Wouldn't be surprised if he was brought over by Mendes and NES if someone like Costa goes.

Have read that players being lined up by Mendes don't really want to come but because of agreement with their agents are coming anyway
Do we really want players here who don't want to be?
And surely we need to get rid before we buy in. lambert knew who needed to go but Santo doesn't. I think we'll just end up with a massive squad again and no settled side and isn't this what got us into trouble last season?

Timtoo44, I read the same thing about Mendes' players not wanting to come here and thought exactly the same thing. If they do not want to play for our club, then stay away, I don't care how talented they are!
I would rather have 11 academy players giving blood for the club than 11 superstars who don't give a toss and only want to pick up ther money.

Nothing we can do about it now except hope that the plan works. Personally, if players are publicly saying they don't want to be here then we're going to struggle.

I think this is all paper talk, are the players were linked with good enough for the prem. Mendes is just trying to make more money, links a player with us, the player then says would rather play prem (fair enough), that's different to saying 'dont want to play for Wolves'. creates interest price goes up, as does Mendes commission.
Costa was valued at 2.85m before coming to us, now after a good season with us its 8.5m, Our wages are probably higher than parent clubs so its really a win win situation for the player.
