Hi everyone I'm a newcomer 2 this site I've been reading all your comments on here for a few months now I can't believe that some of you are still moaning and groaning about the takeover the manager and the transfers we got what we wanted Morgan out moxey out and kj out.

we have billionaire owners now and this the best position we have been for years. I didn't agree with how kj was treated, but must have got a good pay off that was probably what he was hanging on for as he knew he was going.

03 Aug 2016 07:34:25
Stuff kj. he was crap and the squad he has left behind is a shambles.

03 Aug 2016 10:17:15
I Disagree . KJ Did a good job with what he had at his disposal. It would of been interesting to see what he was capable of once the shackles were off . Now we will never know . A new era is upon us let's get behind Zenga and Co.

03 Aug 2016 15:08:50
JACKETT put me in a coma for 9 months! Good Riddance! Onwards and Definitely Upwards!

02 Aug 2016 21:32:02
hi all I have been looking but news on ola john has gone very quiet. any one heard anything?

02 Aug 2016 21:30:45
Ok don't get me wrong . I'm loving the excitement that's surrounding our club at the moment and can't wait to see what happens next and to get Rotherham!,
I just can't understand why we would risk £18m on the likes of talisca when for that money we could get McCormack and Pritchard? . I'd love to see a signing like talisca but fear it's too early into the new dawn that sort of signing, we need experience, lads that are up for and know what the championship scrap is about.

02 Aug 2016 22:05:00
We need someone whos going to beat a man and bang a few goals in. He would be a game changer and a constant treat even when quiet. Capable of that piece of magic at any time.

02 Aug 2016 21:26:47

03 Aug 2016 10:11:06
Me too. If we have one superstar then teams will just play through the other 10, like we saw with Portugal/ Ronaldo. He hardly saw the ball unless it was a long cross or a corner.

The priority should be to remove the weak spots. We signed a striker and Dicko will be back soon. Plus Mason, Bright and Ennis. And Zyro in a few months.

My concern is now right wing and central defence. I like Henry and Batth but are they good enough to push for promotion?

02 Aug 2016 21:25:32
It's ok having all this money and contacts but 4 foreign players nobody knows, also a foreign manager nobody knows with more clubs than akinfenwa 1.5m spent that's not a billionaire club. and you lot think we're safe?

Forget promotion lads, there's a good chance we've been fooled here while moxey walks away laughing. what's wrong with wanting sako back; proven goal machine in our league, we need proven players. look at Brighton they will have Knockart on one wing Pritchard on other proven players.

oh cattermole it what we need a nutter to get these kids going . in players faces lifting the crowd bringing molinuex back to life also experience in english football.

02 Aug 2016 22:26:57
The reason we going european so much is the fair play rule. Everybody knows english players cost a lot more than a european equivalent 90 per cent of the time and its a little old fashioned now to be saying european doesn't work.

How many top 5 premier league teams have more than 3 or 4 english men in the team at any one time. We are buying international players who got further than England at the euros and all I hear is they ain't good enough. I want an english man who has never been anywhere near the England team.

02 Aug 2016 23:07:04
Which internationals exactly? The Icelandic bloke granted, but come on. The Portugese players we've got ain't even getting a game in their own club team. Give em a chance yes, but better than what we've got? Nobody really knows.
I'm in Wednesfields camp - Pritchard and McCormack would do a far better job - certainly in the Championship.

02 Aug 2016 21:02:07
Genuinely can't believe what i'm hearing from 99 per cent of fans. We should be the happiest fans in the countryfor the following reasons.

1.We have money coming out of our ears.

2.We are good friends with jorge mendes (googles claim to most powerful man in football) type most powerful man in football into google.

3.We have signed a portugal international. ('Im sure that's a first)

4.We have signed a iceland international who run rings round cahill and smalling.

5. We have pinched monacos sporting director (or whatever they call him these days)

6.We have a manager who says passion and effort is the most important things. Exactly what we have been missing.

AND STILL I HEAR 90PER CENT MOANING . WHAT WOULD MAKE U HAPPY.

You are the fans that will add pressure as soon as things aren't going perfect. And I hope u people talking about relagation come back on here in 6-9 months time and admit you know nothing about football b3vause you clearly dont. END OF RANT.

02 Aug 2016 21:10:57
And I forgot to add future signings still to come. 1 strong rumour being a 20 mill liverpool target. WOLVES LINKED WITH 20MILL PLAYER COME ON PEOPLE GET REAL WE ARE IN DREAM LAND.

02 Aug 2016 21:15:42
First time I've posted on here after following for months. I have to say I totally agree with you. There is no pleasing so people. FWAW.

02 Aug 2016 21:19:29
Spot on Bentlywolf!

02 Aug 2016 21:31:03
Well said Bentley they make me so bloody mad!
They are never satisfied
Should go support Villa or v Albion.

02 aug 2016 21:35:01
the people moaning are not true wolves fans. we have waited a long time for this. to all the long suffering true fans give it time and support the team and the manager/ owners.

02 Aug 2016 21:46:13
Absolutely right Bentleywolf. Why bother supporting the team if all you can do is be negative?

02 Aug 2016 21:53:01
Totally agree Bentleywolf, and you didn't even list my favourite point:

7. Fosun want us because of the potential of our Wolves identity / brand and how heroic and supportable it is, something Moxey was apparently blind to.

If you look on Nathan Judah's twitter from yesterday to do with Zenga's official press conference, Fosun have introduced a new back drop, black and white covered in statements about our heritage and achievements, headed with the strapline, "The Strength of the Wolf is in the Pack". And I reckon Zenga has the job because Jeff sees that he's a wolf, aggressive and like you say, passionate.

Fosun clearly intend to use our identity and heritage as our foundation and engine in order to make something real, alive and full of fire. They've seen our greatest potential, our identity, and mean to optimise it and capitalise on it, it will be epic :-)

02 Aug 2016 21:56:05
who says we have loads of money? so far, even after today we are up on the mcdonald deal. the signings maybe OK but no one has yet seen them play. we certainly have a manager with a mixed background. time will tell but jumping on some kind of delerious bandwagon could mean you come down with a huge bump. I hope we do well but 60 points would be a good outcome this season.

02 Aug 2016 22:07:57
Walsall fans are happier. My mates bouncing off the walls with their 300k signing.

02 Aug 2016 22:21:31
hey Bentley I used to live in Monmouth Road .

02 Aug 2016 22:33:59
I was montgomery lol.

02 Aug 2016 22:41:52
And I agree ulf was meant to put that but was forgeting while writing as I had so many. I also forgot about the winger who played 25 games for monaco costa.

02 Aug 2016 20:44:21
This Talisca case is really a mystery. Some papers said he didn't want to join a Championship side, and others claimed that he hadn't agreed a salary. It looks like Mendes is forcing this move to England to happen, but despite the agent's super powers, he still can't convince the FA to give the player a work permit.

02 Aug 2016 21:47:10
Apparently on his twitter page signed a 5 yr deal £16 million.

02 Aug 2016 19:39:17
This team would finish in to two Ikeme iorfa batth goldson silvio cattermole teixeira sako talisca judge dicko.

02 Aug 2016 20:10:54
what?

02 Aug 2016 20:43:39
Sako as gone get over it.

02 Aug 2016 20:48:12
Give it a rest about Sako we don't want him imo Graham has the potential to be better than Sako.

02 Aug 2016 21:05:49
Costa not good enough already? catermole banned every other game?

02 Aug 2016 21:45:14
There's no getting past the fact that Sako had sparkly golden boots for his 100th game, and is mates with Dicko too.

02 Aug 2016 19:37:30
Message for Walter Zenga:
Go and get Alex Pritchard! Championship experience and one of the best!

02 Aug 2016 21:38:25
He's signing for Brighton offer accepted 8m.

02 Aug 2016 21:47:35
I think Brighton are getting him.

02 Aug 2016
New image uploaded to the
Wolves Player Sightings page.

02 Aug 2016 19:32:23
Good look to all new players but unless the other 4 signings have a proven track record in english football there's a strong possibility well be in a relegation dog fight reminds me tando much of the solbakkon times. I'd like to see connor goldson . alan judge. sako. talisca. Lee cattermole.

02 Aug 2016 19:57:18
Connor Goldson. Why?

02 Aug 2016 21:29:09
Wolves lad, championship young player of season big built, good defender.

03 Aug 2016 07:35:53
Why do people keep going on about sako. he has gone. forget him. ain't worth a dime.

02 Aug 2016 19:26:02
I think with the 4 new players we more or less have cover in every position.
Gk: Ikeme/ Lonegran,
LB Silvio/ Deslandes/ Hause
RB Iorfa/ Doherty
CB Batth/ Iorfa/ Williamson/ Ebanks Landell/ Hause
LW Costa/ Wallace,
RW Henry/ Byrne,
CM Teixeira/ Price/ Evans/ Saville/ Edwards
ST Dicko/ Mason/ Bodvarsson.

Add to this Zyro, Graham and possibly 1 new defender and 1 new attacking player and the team looks exciting. and the likes of Ennis, Reid and Bright gaining minutes on the pitch. I really think that we can make a big impression this season.

02 Aug 2016 19:33:40
Agreed, stop the general negativity and let's wait and see.

02 Aug 2016 18:55:05
Petition for a new chant. Every time bodvarsson scores. We have to make that noise that sounds like the unsullied in game of thrones that the Iceland fans were making in the euros.

02 Aug 2016 18:25:16
Desperately need a couple of really hard "put your foot in players" to compliment the younger contingent. There is a greater need to "boss" games in the championship and we are deperately lacking in this department.

02 Aug 2016 18:59:42
Think that will be our next signing, maybe be next 2.
Then hope we can get Talisca over the line.
Be very happy with business done if that's the case.

02 Aug 2016 18:17:56
what involvement is poxy still involved with our transfers in or out? Surely he is not signing cheques. got my ticket for saturday- unsure of parking near new york stadium. anyone know?

02 Aug 2016 18:55:57
Sorry mate were getting train from Tamworth to sheff have a few beers then on to Rotherham, for some more beers before the Mighty Wolves beat Rotherham 3-1! Start of the Fosun Revolution 👍👍👍.

02 Aug 2016 18:56:10
Think there's a massive car par by the station 10 min walk or check football grounds guide on Google.

02 Aug 2016 18:08:46
Here is my opinion on Fosun so far without seeming to be moaning.

I like the signing of the 3 portugese players but the appointment of this manager and the signing of this Iceland striker has levelled my optimism out abit.

If Jeff Shi feels that this type of signing is going to get us out of this division he is going to be in for a shock.

To get out of this league you need players of proven quality that are TOP players for the division. With this squad we have zero chance of even challenging.

We need 4 more signings in my opinion and these have GOT to be QUALITY. Proven players of quality that will enable us to challenge.

Not going to moan just yet but these next 4 weeks are crucial.

Quality players cost money so Fosun seriously need to start splashing the cash or I just can't see us challenging

What you guys honestly think?

02 Aug 2016 18:25:58
My thoughts exactly. People are understandably positive because there is a new regime but the signings so far whilst decent have only a small chance of success. Fosun are in for a big shock at this rate.

02 Aug 2016 18:32:27
just getting squad players as QUALITY takes longer, hopefully some some brits!

02 Aug 2016 18:36:00
I'm inclined to agree with MATTyG. These guys are largely unproven but I've received good reports on the ex-Benfica guys from a friend who worked there as an analyst. Perhaps bigger names are just around the corner. I believe an obvious leader is key.

02 Aug 2016 18:42:11
With what we have at the moment there is no doubt we will be fighting relegation, the signing of Talisca should it happen will have little or no impact as he will be butchered by the other teams reducers and be lost for the season we need a mixture of ball players and hardened bone heads who can kick us out of this division when the need arises, surely we could afford several seasoned British players who sit between not quite good enough for the prem and too good for the championship for a fraction of some of the other names banded on here which would give us a fighting chance, without these it could be a long season.

02 Aug 2016 18:03:27
In from work, season ticket on the mat- Thankyou postie,
For the first time in how long- a season to look forward to?

Bodvarsson may not have the best goals for games record, but with proper service, he could provide what we've been lacking- goals. A decent signing.

02 Aug 2016 18:00:03
I have a feeling that we are not going to spend as much as we liked now we didn't get the manager we originally planned for this may be trial and error I feel. hope I'm wrong.

02 Aug 2016 17:03:19
Anyone heard more about Cavaleiro?

With the new Icelandic forward standing at 6ft 3, are Wolves going to play wide and attack with old fashioned wingers?

Henry and Wallace aren't good enough sadly.

Costa and Cavaleiro however would be like the days of Kightly and Jarvis! Attack, attack, attack attack attack!

02 Aug 2016 17:33:49
Costa hopefully, and Graham might be up to the mark if he's fit. We also have Byrne but I suspect he will be away as will Evans. I reserve judgment on Henry. When he's good, he's up there with the best in the league. He might work better with Bod than anyone else in the team for all we know.

02 Aug 2016 16:22:02
The last time I was excited about a signing was when we signed steven fletcher.

02 Aug 2016 17:37:01
Andy Gray will always be the big signing for me. Although I was very young at the time. Paul Ince probably next in line. Then either Miller or Fletcher.

In the last couple of years, Afobe. But this is the biggest batch of apparent talent we've ever seen arriving. Can't wait to see them play, and hope I won't be disappointed.

02 Aug 2016 18:19:39
John Paskin for me.

02 Aug 2016 19:32:39
For me:
Ray Crawford
The Doog
Ince
Gray
At the time all big name internationals and headline signings.

02 Aug 2016 15:44:47
Think the new signing put the crouch rumours to bed. and yes I know he play out wide but i'm sure we will play him uptop can't see a 6foot 3 and 6 foot 7 players playing together.

02 Aug 2016 17:18:46
Kind of like Zyro in that respect. Imagine we have Zyro, Bodvarsson, Dicko and Mason all fit, let alone Bright and Ennis.

So, how's the team looking?

GK Ikeme/ Lonergan/ Zenga (joke)
DF Iorfa, Silvio, Batth, Doc
MF Costa, Price, Texiera, Henry/ Graham/ Wallace
ST Bodvarsson, (Mason if 442, Edwards if 451, Dicko when fit)

Still room for more of course. And I am assuming all the new signings will be in from the start, as I guess that's what we've said to Mendes.

The unknown part is Zenga, and who he rates. Hasn't had much time to get to know players so some randomness might emerge, like Saville, Deslandes, Byrne or Evans starting. Of course sometimes managers get more out of players than their predecessors. Like Jackett got more out of Edwards and Stears than Deano or Solbakken ever could.

02 Aug 2016 15:08:00
This is getting exciting. Haven't seen so much international transfer activity at Wolves since 2012.

. after which we were relegated.

02 Aug 2016 15:43:22
. hope its not a trend European.

02 Aug 2016 15:44:37
Yes, we were relegated, because Moxey and Morgan had totally unrealistic expectations of getting their moneys worth from the crocked and jaded players they'd already signed on such long contracts before Stale even arrived.

The bomb squad refused to work with Stale, Morgan and Moxey blamed Stale, backed the players and sacked him, then we got relegated because it wasn't Stale that was the problem, it was our existing players, Brit and Irish, like Jonhson, OHara, Doyle etc.

The only bit of real light we've had in recent times was Sako and he was an international we have Stale to blame for.

02 Aug 2016 15:45:52
sorry European I meant.

02 Aug 2016 17:30:18
Oxleymoorwolf your spellchecker is getting the better of you. Twice!

Stale signed some good players that season. I always liked Tongo Doumbia. And the Polish loanee Pezko who has been a regular in his national team pretty well from when Deano sent him home. Boukari too, what little we saw of him, and Sako was a real find. Hopefully Zenga's players will be equally good and, more importantly, he himself will be good enough to manage them. At least this time we haven't got the egotistical established players to interfere this time. In fact the only "established" players are really Ikeme and Edwards. Batth to a lesser extent.

02 Aug 2016 17:39:35
Stop moaning Wolves fans the past is the past let's think positive and get behind the club and think of the future, our luck as got to change sometime with all the money we have wasted and let's be honest nobody in there right mind would of wanted we to carry on as we were it was awful shopping at poundland and listening to all those lies from Moxey and Morgan and Jackett with the same old stories every week making excuses instead of having the Balls to tell Morgan and Moxey what was needed to get Wolves promoted which to is credit he probably did and was refused and if that was the case which I think it was he should of left the club at that time, then I would have had more respect for him.

02 Aug 2016 15:06:16
Just seen Charlie Adam in Beatties also saw Palace scout near Compton.

02 Aug 2016 15:17:24
No you haven't.

02 Aug 2016 15:32:51
Rubbish if you said asda then yes I would believe you.

02 Aug 2016 17:38:20
Just seen Jamie Beattie in Adams. Spooky.

02 Aug 2016 15:00:26
Alberto . Pritchard . talisca and a defender now then.

02 Aug 2016 15:12:47
Pritchard off to Brighton.

02 Aug 2016 13:53:27
Brighton about to sign Alwx Pritchard for £8m 😢.

02 Aug 2016 13:44:41
Season ticket card just arrived. No Moneyshop logo, last year's had Silverbug on the back. Where di that Icelandicer come from? Interesting times. Hope he plays upfront alongside Ennis.

02 Aug 2016 13:47:31
He's a big lad 6,3
Should get on a few crosses!

02 Aug 2016 13:41:38
Seems like we need to get someone back out to Compton to see who else has rocked up that we are not aware of.

02 Aug 2016 17:40:33
Perhaps count the number of players speaking Portuguese as I'm losing count.

If anyone sees a guy with a Brazil cap arrive, we want to know ASAP!

02 Aug 2016 13:25:06
Jon Dadi Bodvarrson signs 3 year deal.

02 Aug 2016 13:26:06
LATEST: @OfficialWolves have signed Icelandic international winger Jon Dadi Bodvarsson from German club Kaiserslautern on a 3-yr contract.

02 Aug 2016 17:00:08
Is easy any good.

02 Aug 2016 13:23:44
Bodvarsson (Iceland) is the new signing.

02 Aug 2016 13:29:07
Does this mean we have to learn the Icelandic chant?

02 Aug 2016 13:32:19
Already Montevideo of him Compton confirmed wolves twitter.

02 Aug 2016 13:09:45
Texiera. From benfica B looks decent. Direct and skill full

02 Aug 2016 13:10:17
Wolves have made a £2.7m bid for Iceland forward and QPR target Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, according to West London Sport.

The interest from Walter Zenga's men has put QPR off a deal as Wolves look to spend freely after they were taken over by a wealthy Chinese consortium.

02 Aug 2016 12:44:26
Does anyone else get pissed off with being a wolves fan?

Rewind two months everyone's pissed off that we are owned by Morgan (who in 9 years owning wolves spent I believe a net of 2 million quid on the playing side of things) and the club look as though it's going nowhere fast.

Now fast forward to now, we are looking into the unknown. We have owners with money to burn, links to more international footballing parties that I can remember and signings coming frequently. However this still is something to moan about?

Can we not just for now unite as fans, back the owners, back the manager and more importantly back the lads? I don't care how things go in 6 months time as for now I can't alter that, at least it's now (for the moment) exciting to be a wolves fan again. Let's just enjoy what's going on and see where we are in 6 months. I doubt, it'll be as bad as 6 months ago.

Just my opinion obviously.

02 Aug 2016 12:57:17
Great reply Thegrafter1979 could not of put it better let's see were we are in 6 months, it's got to be better than last season I for one am going to enjoy the ride Instead of keep moaning.

02 Aug 2016 12:58:11
You know here's the thing, I love being a Wolves fan and I am as excited as anyone about what is happening but I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground and not get carried away, years of constant disappointment will do that to you. I'm not saying these lads that we've signed aren't any good or that the club isn't now in a better position than if Morgan was still at the helm, I'm just trying to be realistic about what's happening, I've read people on here saying we're going to win the league and that in a couple of years time we're going to be top 6 in the premier league. With the players were signing at the moment and with how far behind we are with out preparations for this season it may take longer than peppa think for the success to come.

02 Aug 2016 13:57:01
Agree wolvesfan86, but let's enjoy and embrace change. Patience is required, even Rome wasn't built in a day. This is a massive transitional phase we are going through and it will take a while for things to settle down. Whether we like it or not - we needed change. IMO it will take a few months for the changes to filter through and if it takes until next season to go up, so be it (Watford anyone) Patience and support are required by all!

02 Aug 2016 12:34:51
Just been reading Thelwell's comments on the signing of this new lad from Benfica, stating that he feels it's a real "coup" that we've managed to sign him. I'm not saying the lad won't be a good player because he may well be, time will tell but those comments lead me to believe that our stance on the type of player we want to bring in to the club haven't changed, obviously they still want young players that they can develop, I'm all for that but if that's the case don't expect instant success and all these big name players were being linked to aren't going to happen, i.e Talisca, Markovic, Nugent etc etc.

02 Aug 2016 11:54:45
Felix works in the ticket office he's sxxt hot at getting people to buy tickets with all the tosh he's talking I will eat my words with marmite if he's right.

02 Aug 2016 11:41:16
I cannot believe how quiet it is today
Is everyone over the endless rumours and amount of time it is taking us to close deals
Where's Felix when you need some good ITK rumours
It will soon be my bed time.

02 Aug 2016 10:34:52
Why can't all you moaners give it a rest ain't that why Morgan sold the club just think the new guy just might do the same
Then where will we be.

02 Aug 2016 09:08:29
Wondered what Wolves was in Portuguese. It's "Lobos". And "Come on you Wolves" is "Vamos la, Lobos".

In Italian it's "venire su di voi lupi" according to google. Doesn't have the same punch to it.

Clearly no news this morning.

02 Aug 2016 08:10:11
I guess Jeff didn't want Bruce who is a sensible, reasonable Englishman, like Kenny, who would have had his targets lined up and would have chibbed at recruiting 4 or 5 from Mendes euro stable. He has gone for the polar opposite who is going to say yeah whatever, bring it on boss. We will, I think, be in for fireworks and tears at some point though. Tim describes Zenga as volatile, combustible, headstrong and stubborn, a bit like the bald chap who has just left us.
I guess he will energise the team if he doesn't scare the pants off them. Let's see where we are 10 games in.
What matters now is to get a striker as it's gone quiet on the
Talisca front.

02 Aug 2016 09:01:56
It won't be boring with Jenga.

Haha I mean Zenga. There is probably a joke there somewhere.

02 Aug 2016 07:34:08
After yesterdays news conference I'm worried. I know Zenga was buttering up the supporters as any new recruit does, but to say Wolves are the most important team in Italy is treating us like idiots. Also Zenga's 16 jobs in 18 years is still a fact. He's been brought in because he is a 'yes' man, because they are all mates and because he's cheap. Why else turn your nose up at Steve Bruce?

02 Aug 2016 08:02:12
I think 16 jobs in 18 years means he is anything but a yes man. Did u hear him say that he left 1 job because he wasnt paid for 6 months. How long would you continue working without pay? Was steve bruces reason for leaving hull as bad as not being paid for 6 months? I very much doubt it. I must admit i'm sceptical but l who knows football better.

02 Aug 2016 08:06:05
He is no bloody yes man. we just sacked a yes . wot job u do mate.

Us or jorge mendes and as for saying he's giving us all his rejects I don't think that's the case as he is going to want a good relationship his little jeff. The reason we are taking loans and young players is due to the fair play rules and will not be a problem if jeff can make us big in china like he suggests.

As I understand it loaning players makes ffp rules easier to navigate.
By not buying the players we have so far loaned we are only covering there wages till a time hopefully we do go up.

Boggs, give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his comment was lost in translation. He's obviously aware of the scepticism surrounding his appointment, maybe he's just trying to appease and reassure us fans, but maybe didn't express himself quite as clearly as someone who's native tongue is English would have done. Give the guy a break.

Mate, the look of him I doubt he is a yes man! Looks strong passionate confidant.
Let's give him a chance, he did say the team is young so let's hope he brings in a couple of experienced players to the club.

Has anyone watched the PC on YouTube from yesterday? Well I watched it and I saw the bit were, WZ was asked about Luis Alberto and it tells me that there something in it and there interested in him, he was asked the question and he started laughing but like laughing in a way to say yes we're in for him but then saying I don't like talking about other peoples players, you'll have to watch it to see what I'm saying and I'm guessing some have so you'll see what I mean the ones that have watched it but like I say it tells me we're are in for him plus it's not 6m upfront, they want a 6m package that includes appearances related add ons so Wolves would probably only actually pay about 4m upfront, and hope this really happens.
