What a difference! Onwards and upwards now. Good goals too. Let's do it!

And I think what one or two of forget is owners can't splash the cash like they used to, rules don't allow. Things are due to ease up in a couple of seasons but right now clubs are only allowed to overspend by six mill. Six mill ain't going to buy you a player as good as Sako not when you factor in wages

Although frustrated with Morgan for refusing to invest in experienced players, I'm happy he sorted the academy out and improved the ground, but do feel we are now in very choppy waters because we only need to look at other clubs for sale in the region and they have either been approached by faceless consortiums or Far East parties and that's the problem, because these interested parties don't care for tradition or history, just to have a football club on their cv & making profit.

the days of buying a football club and running it as a passion has sadly passed away with the late great sir jack (rip). now you buy a club as a going concern to make money and hope to get a good Return on your investment. so better the devil you know, I say Morgan had his faults but at least didn't try to bleed the club dry. he simply failed to invest in experience over youth.

Best case scenario there is already a buyer waiting in the wings the sale goes smoothly and there is fresh money for January. Worst case? This is Morgan acting on impulse yet again there's nothing lined up the club remains on sale for years just like it did for Sir Jack and just like it is for Villa Albion and Blues. I think anyone who buys a football club needs his head looking at. You're never going to keep everyone happy. Getting stick from fans goes with the territory. If that's the reason Morgan's packed it in then I'm glad he's gone. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. The only thing that's certain is uncertainty. Wonder if some of those jumping up and down now will be quite so happy if the first thing the new owners do is sack Jackett

There are rumours that Morgan has had a big say in transfers this season and jackett has been left frustrated. Jackett wanted more experienced players and Morgan wanted more youth. Hope we can stay up, hope that our young players aren't damaged by this season and get a new owner for next season. I think that's the best we can hope for.UTW

{Ed001's Note - a big say? Hmmmm not what he says. He tries not to get too involved in the football side, as much as he would love to, because he was brought up on the Liverpool way of having a chairman no one even knew existed.}

So, the so called supporters of our club that do nothing but moan and harp on about Steve Morgan and his commitment to the club have finally got there way. The disgraceful scenes at Deepdale on Saturday when Morgan was verbally abused by a group of so called supporters has pushed the man to totally distance himself from the club. What a disgrace.

Now i'm not saying that I am Morgan's biggest fan, I too wish that he had spent £20m in the summer to improve our squad, but he chose not to and for whatever reason that was we will never know. But does that mean the man that has invested millions in our club deserved to be abused. I think not.
I read with interest what the gloom and doom merchants say about Morgan lining his pockets in Wolverhampton with Redrow, and that he will now move on to another city, what a load of crap.

Im afraid these are very sad times to be a Wolves supporter. Some of you so called supporters have bought shame on our great club. And I just have one phrase for you to consider here -

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

Things could well go downhill fast from this point.

good post tom at last someone who can see past the bull . morgan was never going to splash massive amounts on transfer fees but the club was safe in his hands . but people must must must realise morgan was not directly involved in recruitment that was solely down to MOXEY AND THELWELL so the reason we did not sign a replacement for sako was down to MOXEY not morgan.

BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW MOXEY AND THELWELL OUT

They could also get a lot better!! Tom Tit stop bein so dramatic and negative! The guy wasn't going to invest the amounts needed to take us back to the prem so like I said earlier it's a good decision for both parties! Also it's funny it's happened now as there are no more parachute payments after this season!

{Ed001's Note - he is running the club within its means, but that is not enough for some people I guess. You are not a big club any more, you don't have the pull to attract quality without paying through the nose for it to choose you over others. Morgan is not Steve Gibson, who has bankrolled Middlebrough for years but would mean the club would fold without him, if the worst ever happened. He is trying to run it so that, in the event of the worst happening Wolves would just carry on, with no worries about folding. I think people forget how much trouble the club was in after its double relegation and he is being cautious to make sure it never gets into trouble again.}

I'll be amazed if we get a better owner than Morgan. Hopeful but amazed all the same. People are to short sighted when jumping on his back.

Want something to work you build it properly. You don't build a million pound house on the foundations of a 1900's terraced house, nor would you build a ferrari with a chassis from a Panda.

Morgan has been building the infrastructure of the club and has done a good job of it too. You cannot have a business that can't sustain itself and he's gone about ensuring we are self sufficiant.

People forget pre Sir Jack and also expect people to just throw their personal money at it. It doesn't happen. There are 2 examples of that with Chelsea and Man City, none of the others. Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs, Liverpool. These billionairesa rare.

The club should have ensured Sako was replaced but even that is down to Jackett and Moxey as it was stated all along money was available but KJ couldn't identify the right player.

Should we win tonight and Saturday we'd be around the top 6/7 so why all the panic when it's so tight. Granted we could lose both and it look very differently however it's still September/Early October.

Don't get me wrong I'm as annoyed as the next man about the way we have played this season but I just think it's too early to be getting so stressed.

If u buy a football club you need to be willing to invest your own money, if your not willing to keep investing you stand still and get passed by mediocre teams which is happening to Wolves. Just funny how he's selling now as the parachute payments stop and he'd have to use his own cash if we were going to get promoted. He's done very well out the city of Wolverhampton.

{Ed001's Note - you really are talking crap. You think the infrastructure paid for itself? Ingrates like you are why he is selling.}

29 Sep 2015 09:55:23
Paul Tamworth. i'm most certainly not being negative or dramatic. just speaking the truth. i'm not deluded like some of you. I know football, and I know where we are at here at Wolves. Get real, you live in cloud cuckoo land.

29 Sep 2015 10:18:45
Glad he's sellin and lookin forward to better! And Ed IMO your talkin CRAP and Tom Tit is negative!! I pay a lot of money to watch my team so I will def say what I think!

{Ed001's Note - you are entitled to your opinion, but you have as much knowledge regarding running a football club as the average fan - nothing. Have you never wondered why all the clubs that are run by fans trusts never splash out big on signings? There is no money to be made running a football club. You pay peanuts compared to what is paid to buy and run a club.}

29 Sep 2015 11:00:54
And u know better Ed???, that's why I want us to be taken over by someone with money and not just a consortium of small fry who can just about get the money together to buy the club but have no money to invest in the team. We're back to square one then!

{Ed001's Note - yes, as I have family involvement in the ownership of a different club and have seen the amount of work and effort that goes into just keeping these clubs on an even keel. You on the other hand just want to be a spoilt little brat who gets everything now. What ever happened to working for success? What is wrong with building a strong club for the future and enjoying seeing it develop? But no, you just want it all now like a spoilt 5 year old. You want want want and expect someone else to pay for it. Just grow up.}

29 Sep 2015 11:09:25
If I wanted it now now now I'd of supported Man Utd Man City or Chelsea!! U Ed IMO r getting a bit personal??

{Ed001's Note - oh but it is ok for you to post up personal abuse about other people? Precious now are we? You do want it now, you want money spent, when it is not yours. You want them to mortgage the future to sate your appetite for success.}

29 Sep 2015 11:51:53
Couldn't have worded it better myself.

29 Sep 2015 12:00:45
Ed I don't agree with you but I admire your engaging with Paul as opposed to other sites that would not allow him to speak against the head Honcho.

{Ed001's Note - he has every right to his opinion, I disagree with it, but it wouldn't be much of a discussion if he wasn't here to give it!}

29 Sep 2015 12:25:09
football is all about opinions I try to respect evryones point of view I think morgans done a great job of building the basic infrastructure of our club the only mistake was letting moxey and thelwell run the transfer policy, I certainly would not have spent any more money than we have but would have spent it wisely all the dross we have padded the squad out with over the last 2 seasons would have added upto 2 decent signings and pad the squad with our youngsters and let them gain valuable experience

29 Sep 2015 20:03:20
People forget ffp rules mean the owners of football clubs cannot throw loads of money at the club anymore, Steve Morgan kept us out of the red Moxey is the problem imo, I fear for our club now that we will get someone who will bleed the club dry. I hope we get a good chairman but we will struggle to find someone who was as safe as Morgan was.

29 Sep 2015 23:04:27
No, I think its the authorities who have forgotten about ffp at least for those clubs who are breaking those rules.

28 Sep 2015 23:48:53
Red Bull are thinking of pulling out of F1 lol. It would prob mean The Red Bull Molineux Stadium.

{Ed007's Note - Red Bull seem to be concentrating their efforts in RB Leipzig now, much to the detriment of RB Salzburg.}

29 Sep 2015 12:07:57
Eu100 well said on all counts . Some of our fan's are a disgrace!We were building for a decent future . Ok it's not going as planned so far this season but its early days . Who the hell's going to want to buy the club when if you don't plough millions and millions into buying players all you get is abuse.I hope I'm wrong but now I fear for the future.
