Lambert has been here for most of the season and has served up utter dross week after week. How do you change the back 4 and midfield every week and expect us to defend properly. Disrespectful to paying fans to play players out of position and making excuses about having to play Sat/ Tues as if we are any different to all the other teams in the league. Where the heck has Enobakhari been he looked a cut above all the others in controlling and moving the ball and should have been playing regularly.

Thelwell, Rob Edwards, Pat Mountain, Tony Daley and Lambert must go.
We need to employ a manager not a coach. Someone with some standing in the game, who will insist on employing his own experienced backroom team and someone who could put their trophies on the table in front of our players.
Let's take a gamble and look no further than either Frank Lampard or John Terry.

I know Lambert can't be criticised for buying the majority of the players. But he has had long enough to get a side together who don't roll over and die in front of their home fans. Surely out of this massive squad there are enough players to have a real go. If they're not good enough, why were they brought here? . The whole recruiting system needs to be changed.
Thelwell needs to go, also the "fitness" guru Daley needs to go, as our injuries list is ridiculous . I would give PL the boot now, before he's given money to buy average players to play his dour style of football.

Brimble wolf, I would not argue with that list and you could add quite a few more, how can we end up with players who are average division 1 players, how can Fosun expect we to be in premier and stay there with this lot of crap players who couldn't play tiddlywinks never mind football.
Lamberts starting to confuse me with is after match statement if you can understand what he is saying, and is team selections are getting stupid and boreing, I think he as lost the plot he says the squad wants thinning out he as to many players and then says the players are tired had hard season .
Well Mr. Lambert with all these players you have you should be able to rest players and give other players a chance.

I went. paid hard earned money. gave up a shift at work and I don't ask for much but at least try. there was definite discontent in the crowd today. somethings got to give.

Need a break? Do me a favor! I used to work shifts at Good Year, throwing tractor tyres about, decorate the house, do the garden, help with the kids. Run at least 50 miles a week. These guys don`t have any idea what work is like!

Strange starting lineup Saville in wrong position well that could be anywhere I suppose but why not Silvio? Evans too and I don't like this 4231 because we play like 6 defenders maybe Cav didn't like it either.

Jas your fella made 8 changes today, 2 midfielders playin fullbacks, we were never in the game lucky to only lose 3-1. Game was over before Cav got sent off. I'm sure everything will be ok when Lambert has a pre season? Top two next season hey? 😂😂😂 get rid now Fosun he should be arrested for impersonating a manager! It's fraud!

Quite frankly, the whole damned squad need to go and we can start again. Cavaleiro has shown in past games he has a poor temperament and today he just confirmed it with his petulance. We are not going to get our £7m back for him! The rest just simply are not good enough.
Everyone hears what you say about Lambert, Paul T, but he has got nothing to work with bar the academy players. You cannot say that he has not given everyone a chance in all sorts of positions and formations and they simply are not good enough. Mourinho would struggle with this lot!

So will Jeff Shi stick to what he said and go for continuity with PL or if say Silva becomes available will he go for it?

PT, you keep having a go as if I've personally chosen Lambert for the job. All I'm trying to say is that he's already come out and said the squad needs an overhaul. He only plays the current players because he doesn't have much of a choice. If we had Jose, Marco Silva or Pep they would be in the same predicament. The players are useless and it is up to the manager to change it.

We need to play 5 at the back as the defence is to weak, I'd of brought Iorfa and Stearman back. Price, Marshall and Sais would run the middle and Bod and Dicko up front.

Fair enough in trying a different formation but again its the regular players who have played and failed. The only problem being that in playing 5 at the back there is less creativity to feed the two strikers.
But then again, this is all opinion and we all have different opinions. I just think that the squad as a whole isn't good enough.

I understand what your sayin about lack of creativity Stattowolf, but I think out of all our midfielders Marshall can pick a pass, I put Bod up top as most of our play is hoof ball so no use just havin a five foot 9 inch striker up there like Lambert has done regularly.

The problem with the way we play (and this has been the case all season) is that the lone striker is being pulled into the channels constantly and is not in the box to get on the end of crosses. Dicko has played the front man successfully when we won League 1 and the season after with Sako and Afobe, but we don't have that quality, fluidity and personnel any more.
I think that a proper 442 is required - after all we have enough wingers, albeit out of the fit wingers, Costa is the only decent one. The sad thing being that most of our assists from the left this season have come from Doherty.
I agree with you Paul T about Marshall in central midfield. He could do the job that McDonald did. I think that Ronan next season could do the same.

PT, it's clear that you and me are never going to agree on the manager situation as I believe that now that Lambert was had most of the season with the players he knows who he wants and who he doesn't. Just imagine if at the beginning of December he told the likes of Batth etc that they weren't in his plans. Do you think they'd even try to perform week in week out? I think Lambert has been forced to play the dross every week as January is always a bad time to try and reinforce the squad.
I think that we do agree that Batth, Stearman, Saville, Evans, Edwards etc need to be shifted out and players with real fight and desire brought in.

I'm still 100% behind Lambert as I believe that he will make the changes necessary as it's obvious we ain't good enough. However I'm saying that Bug Sam would have been my 1st choice when Zenga was sacked but he turned us down. Maybe we should have paid him whatever he wanted. But then again some in here didn't want him because if the style if football he plays.

Just looking at the out of contract players list and there are some good players available:
Martin Kelly, Phil Bardsley, Charlie Adam, George Boyd, Joe Ledley, Jan Kirchhoff, Michael Carrick, John Terry, Grant Leadbitter, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Frazier Campbell to name but a few. Any of these would vastly improve the team.
