Anyone else think Tom Lawrence from Leicester would do a good job for us. Did well at Ipswich last season.

28 Jul 2017 19:09:02
Ok guys who's going to be Captain mmmmm? It won't be Batth!

28 Jul 2017 19:31:09
Miranda or Neves.

28 Jul 2017 19:33:54
Neves or Miranda for me.
But got a feeling Nuno will give Neves the armband.

28 Jul 2017 19:37:24
Tom Lawrence whose gone to derby you mean?

28 Jul 2017 19:50:06
According to Tim Nash, Danny Batth is captain.

28 Jul 2017 19:55:14
It will be batth trust me he'd of changed by now if he's wanna going to sorry guys and Edwards will vice captain pretty clear through out pre-season as if anyone else was going to get it he'd of give them through pre-season and like I say changed you clutching a straws on this sorry.

28 Jul 2017 20:05:43
I don't understand why being "captain" matters at all. Its just silly and means nothing. The coach is in charge. Everyone on pitch should be having their say. Works in my work place!

28 Jul 2017 20:10:25
He can be club captain as a player or non player, but he won't be a regular in the line up so Wolves will need a match day captain.

28 Jul 2017 20:11:15
No I mean Tom Lawrence who Derby are interested in but is still at Leicester.

28 Jul 2017 20:14:20
Boly or neves for me. will we sign two more players tomorrow? Should be 2 strikers really. you think.

28 Jul 2017 20:22:34
If you have a captain like Mike Bailey it means a lot but just to appoint someone who is really just a figurehead not a lot.

28 Jul 2017 20:39:57
Guys it won't be Batth we've bought a new defence I wonder why?
One of the worst defensive records last season!
Neves or Coady!

28 Jul 2017 20:49:29
Your right sorry
My bad! Yes I'd definitely have him.

28 Jul 2017 20:50:52
Any game that Batth starts, he will be captain.

28 Jul 2017 20:54:11
Its amazing that anyone thinks who the captain is matters! Get a grip guys!

28 Jul 2017 20:58:26
If Batth and Edwards are regular starters we WILL NOT make top 6.

28 Jul 2017 21:28:09
Bid willy.

28 Jul 2017 21:31:27
Of course it matters who the captain is. it is no good Connor ronan being it.

28 Jul 2017 21:46:45
Here's an idea. Let's not speculate but just wait until Nuno announces his team.

28 Jul 2017 21:50:18
In what way does it matter? If you can explain I will hapilly apolgise. and I will ignore the ejut comment. Basically because I don't understand it.

28 Jul 2017 22:13:53
Well thanks for the insult mate, (im presuming "ejut" is an insult but I really struggled with your grammar) and the Conar Ronan thing just really confused me. I don't pretend to know much about it but I really think if you are all working together, you all shout together. One person taking control can be counter productive, and if youve got, for example, a central defender as "captain" what good is that when you are on the attack? . Five or ten years from now people will laugh at the very concept of "captains". I will apologise if I turn out to be an " ejut"!

28 Jul 2017 22:28:31
Thanks for the insults Dud.

28 Jul 2017 21:18:49
Coady.

29 Jul 2017 09:24:54
I agree with Tettenhall Toad. Who the captain is is pretty irrelevant. It's not like cricket where a captain is in charge of the on field tactics. A football captain is there to choose heads or tails and be the one to be talked to by the ref.

I've always thought the debate about who should be England captain was page filler for the newspapers. A simple solution would be to make whoever has the most appearances captain. The leaders on pitch will still have their say whoever is captain.

29 Jul 2017 10:35:58
Think it is important to have a leader on the pitch and makes sense that he is the captain. Coadjutor certainly likes to organise and if playing centre back is well placed to do so. Just a quick riposte re Connor Ronan, pretty certain he was captain of U21 team last year!

Looking at the squad numbers shows there's a squad of 31 with three spots available. Numbers not given to evans or oniangue confirms that they will be gone. Mason has number 10 but I can see him going to either bristol city (chased him for a while) or fulham. With there being 3 spots available shows that maybe were after as follows: 2 x strikers (3 if masons replaced) 1 x right back or 1 x attacking midfielder.
I can see it being 2 x strikers, 1 x right back before the transfer window shuts.

28 Jul 2017 16:16:33
When is this so called Marquee signing going to sign, now I here Mason could be on his way which will leave just Dicko as our only recognised striker. We surely must have someone lined up. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™.

Phoned Club Shop yesterday to see when Away tops would be in stock as I was originally told September. I was told the XL, 2XL, 3XL and above had just been delivered. I immediately placed an order online ready to pick up on Saturday before the Leicester match. Just received an email from Merchandising Manager stating that the Kit will not be available until Mid October but I could pre order. In light of this, I've asked for my money back as I don't see it as value for money to only have the Kit for part of the season. I'm sorry but this isn't good enough. I know the away kit is popular but to wait 10 weeks to re-stock is an absolute joke and a kick in the teeth for us fans.

28 Jul 2017 14:45:16
Jas mate, and anyone else- don't order online., the sizes are way out. I buy XL in any shirt. Brought the new home shirt, and I needed a triple XL.

Just a heads up for everyone ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

28 Jul 2017 14:55:36
I went to the club Shop and tried in the home strip to confirm sizes. Looks like I won't be buying a top this season.

28 Jul 2017 10:37:30
Anyone given any thought about Ricky lambert unattached I believe at moment
I know he's 35years old but a real decent finisher, has the target man stature of which we don't have at moment
I know as fans we want somebody with more than one season in them and probably a bigger name but horses for courses comes to mind and with the likes of graham et al whipping balls in from the flanks could be a decent plan b.

28 Jul 2017 11:17:56
Southbankwolfie, your havin a laugh aren't u? The guy wouldn't be able to keep up with play let alone score goals! Well past his sell buy date.

28 Jul 2017 11:28:23
Ricky Lambert? Finished at this level I think, bit like Grant Holt. The march of time!

28 Jul 2017 12:08:33
Just a thought guys thanks for feedback๐Ÿ‘
Good penalty taker though but feel we need someone if his size to bully some of the rough cut defenders we will come across in this league.

28 Jul 2017 14:02:34
Isn't he on tour with Queen?

28 Jul 2017 14:43:33
Might be worth looking at on a coaching level for the young strikers?

28 Jul 2017 14:54:33
Lol hednesford๐ŸŽผBut I think you mean Adam lambert never know he could be a shrewd signing for the southbank.

28 Jul 2017 14:57:04
No, it's Paul Lambert on tour with Queen.

28 Jul 2017 15:42:49
Not worth buying a good penalty taker, are you expecting us to reach a final.

28 Jul 2017 18:58:44
Certainly wouldn't buy him but would be nice to be in a final though, it would be a fantastic sight seeing all those brand new away shirts on show๐Ÿ˜In march or may.

29 Jul 2017 11:42:52
๐Ÿ‘oh yes ๐Ÿ‘.

28 Jul 2017 07:37:59
BBC Sport reporting that David Wagner has said Huddersfield will listen to offers for Nahki Wells, any takers?
