Should we be worried about league 1 football next year?

No mate, we'll walk league one lol

It has to be a possibility. I believe we'll stay up but we should be 10-20 points ahead of where we are now, so hard to be confident.

Once Deano's team wins a match we'll forget the bad times.

Mate we will need to win more than 1 match at this moment in time, can you please tell me who we are going to beat, after losing to ipswich p"boro blackpool at home, mind you being a wolves fan we will probably go to leicester and win, which would be absolutely briliant if we did wolves for life

Beating Leicester would feel good. But we need to be winning against the teams around or just below us (Ipswich, Blackburn, Peterbrough hmmmmm) to really reap the rewards.

You can't manage with 1 arm tied behind your back and until Jez stops doing things on the cheap we will go nowhere.

On that basis we should have stuck with Mick. But we went with Stale and signed some great players after selling 3 of our best to premier clubs.

And playing just as bad as us

It's often like that. And it's our saving grace. Those early wins have been essential to our survival chances. Imagine the season startnig 10-15 games ago. We'd be bottom probably.

God sake... He has put millions into this club just cause he hasn't bought messi and Ronaldo you lot think he's just banking it... He's put a whack into the team overall... He's put money into the stadium and promised more (when people ain't going- he won't justify spending the cash) and he is building a training ground that's going to be among the best in the country- developing our own talent... Stop wishing for Morgan and Moxey out cause we could end up in a lot of debt with owners like the Venkys or the Hong Kong persons at Blues..

I think we should sign Stuart Downing in the transfer window he would fit in great with the eleven useless overpaid persons that turn out for us everyweek lol

I've never much rated Downing. But that's really as an international player. Compared to where we are and what we've got, he'd be worth adding to the squad for sure.

If he could take a pay cut, that is.

How on earth can they play like that against premiership team and we can't play like that in the championship??

So, those of us who backed Stale's attempt to change the mentality of the game at our club were lambasted as happy clappers and blind, ...hope everyone who wanted him out (Paul tamworth idealist etc) are delighted with what that has wrought upon the club! Yes it's the same players, but at least SS had the idea of changing the style for the better, not back to the hoof and hope mentality we have again now! We had the opportunity for change at the club and you blew it by being impatient!!

One, we were not protesting he went because of the results and performances there were no open demonstrations. second, the football is now far better than it was under him, least we created a chance saturday, they were lucky and we lost because of a lack of confidence and solidity, neither thing that was instilled in them by solbakken. when the mistakes stop and the belief rises there will be more goals going in at the right end and less at ours, don't panic after 3 games

NO we lost cuz we ain't any good, come back S.S. and get rid of this Crap. WFE

I'd prefer to see players with talent and skill rather than heart and spirit. They say those two things are the crux of the problem with the English game - we produce more cloggers than flair players. Solbakken was trying to bring skilled players into our team and succeeding. Saunders is trying to bring Jason Scotland into our team. No prizes for guessing who I'd rather have as manager.

How exactly is the football better? the ball went higher granted and was hoofed forward more often towards the goal however if that is better football then I am stuck in an episdoe of ashes to ashes - blackpool in posession played us off the park and found their man

Haven't been on since yesterday morning! Has Paul Tamworth called for Saunders head yet? If not why not? The football he's getting the team to try and play is awful at best. Also I'm sick and tired of interviews with the players saying how great training is now and that Saunders is taking us in the right direction, making us more solid! They must all want to play in Div 1 next season!

We are in serious trouble! And to think we thought things were bad under Connor!

Just looked at the form guide - we are bottom with blackpool second from bottom - leciester second behind Cardiff so can't wait until thursday - but at least DS knows the formula of success! I'd hate to think where we'd be if he didn't.

I think it's fair to say that Morgan and the board will have written this season off. Don't expect any transfers in Jan, certainly nothing game changing is going to happen.

The Championship is all about getting the top two spots; the playoffs are a lottery. Looking at the table it's unrealistic to expect Wolves to challenge for automatic promotion, our objective will be to consolidate our position in the league and let Deano make his mark.

Wolves aren't playing well, but there are at least 3 teams worse than us in the league - so why would Morgan want to spend money in Jan just to push us higher up the table, it would be a meaningless gesture. Plenty of players will be put in the shop window during the second half of the season; you can expect radical changes in the summer when Morgan's going to have to show his hand. He's either looking to sell (having got the books looking healthy and the stadium expanded - attractive to an investor) or he's going to put his money where his mouth is.

I agree with your summation, but it is down to chronic poor leadership that has allowed this to happen. We have to rely on that same poor leadership to steer us through the plan, and keep us up. I would not wager my cash on a successful outcome. If we do and I hope we do, it will be luck not judgement who is our saviour!

Although I agree with the above post in theory, there is one major flaw in it.if something isn't done soon, there is a high chance that our beloved wolves will be plying their trade in division one next season.

Big ground being one third filled, massive wage bill as no one wants our squad..that's not such an ideal business model.

If Morgan and Moxey are not careful, we could end up doing a Coventry..

Got to agree with last post is getting more serious by the day, and I dread to think of no activity in transfer market thursday, and without being a defeatest losing to leicester would be the worst week for our club in ages, so I want to look on the bright side and hope we get what we want thursday, and turn the corner, wolves for life.

I think we can now forget about Griffiths coming back after the latest episode he has been involved in. However I would still like Hammill to be brought back in the fold for thursday to play alongside our new marque striker!

I am starting to get irritated by the 'spin' coming from Dean, such as 'we have a solution for it' - 'we already have many good players, may not need any more' etc. etc. and where is the 'marque striker' he was taking about? We had many marque strikers over the years such as Murray, Farmer, Crawford, McIlmoyle, Curran, Dougan, Richards and Bully. Our current strikers just a pale shadow of these.

Where is the money that SS would have been spending now?

Trouble with this team is they are past it when we won this league they were 4/5 years younger hungry nobody's Henry Stoke reserves foley Edwards Luton Blake Plymouth ward Irish Sunday league and so on now there all millionaires with nothing to prove or fight for they are all made they need shipping out get hungry players again they have played there part for us so thanks but bye it's not the manager

Zubar was mint yesterday.

Not a big Zubar fan but thought he was man of the match yesterday.

Zubar has never been used to his full potential. I still think he'd be better allowed further forward and run at the opposition. Great player, sadly unliked by the masses.

The football yesterday showed the Deano has managed at the lower level - when you play long balls you have to then win the second ball - which we just didn't do I counted once. Worst football I have seen down mlo since MM took over with TC. Wont renew seaon ticket if that s what I have to watch week in and week out - although the way it is going the opposition will play similar in league 1. Fair play to blackpool short linked passing - at least SS tried to play football even if tempo was too slow for championship the core of old MM squad are just simply not good enough and if we can stay up then revamp the majority over the summer

Agree with comment at least stale said the truth and said we were bad championship side, and I can't understand why hammill as not been given chance, last 3 managers now and they still havnt given him a chance as great talent could someone tell me who is picking this team and why he as not been given a chance same saturday had foley at right mid. then due to injury had to go fb. and peszcho who was on the bench to start played and had a very good game with zubar down right surely every fan nows that he should have been there from the kick off because foley is never a right mid. with players we have got and doyle who as lost is way should have been taken off to put him out is misery and put siggy on

Morgan right up there with the worst of wolves owners. This guy gets every football decision wrong. Appoint a Manager whose only experience in this Div. is to get a team relegated. Well he is going to make it a double. Well done Morgan & Moxey aka Laurel & Hardy!
