Frank De Boer recently revealed that he would love a chance to manage in the UK but that it would need to be the right project to entice him.
His agent Guido Albers said "My client has the aim of starting a new project from the beginning" and "does not consider any opportunity in the current season. Therefore is considering carefully to choose the best solution for 2017-2018".
Wishful thinking perhaps but that is the type of manager we need, who plays creative attacking football.
Ok, we also need a creative attacking team.

My god, never, ever, ever do I want to see Frank de Boer managing wolves. I live near Amsterdam, and have watched ajax for years as my partner is a huge fan, beleive me, the title wins he got there were not down to him, but due to his players being far, far too good for the league they're in, the style of play he used there is not much different to what lambert is using now, aka, hoofball up to a lone striker and constant backpassing to the keeper/ defenders.

We already have a manager! Let him manage! He has only been in the job 10 minutes!

Thanks for the first hand perspective amsterdamwolf, didn't imagine a 4-3-3 formation and four titles being hoofball.
Would love Lambert to turn it around Shanghai-Wolf but seems to be no improvement after 19 games.

To be honest man, I spent the first few games watching Ajax under De Boer in utter disbelief, I had heard all this stuff about how great they were, and it was just. dire, was some of the most boring football you could ever wish to see for most of the game, then occasionally, the players would just do their own thing and there would be a few shining moments of skill.

Initially I was thinking Marcelo Bielsa, thought he was a free agent. Then found out he's going to Lille next season.
Anything but boring with him in charge.

Lambert out mark warburton in did a fantastic job at brentford before rangers and gets his team. playin good football this hoofing it up and tryin to win the second ball is sunday league.

Warburton ideal for rebuilding in League One again and it will be the U-23s who will be the team: not Portuguese B players. Add Graham, Zyro and Ennis.

Tried changing owners, tried changing managers, tried changing players, seems nobody in the club knows what's wrong, or how to put it right, Would have thought it is plainly obvious there's a need for a top-top football administrator to come in and organize and run the club from top to bottom. Seems that new owners couldn't come in and work with the 'old' manager but new managers are supposed to come in and work with the same old backroom staff, how, s that ever going to work? A succession of owners over the last forty years, some good some not so, has left us with a half finished stadium and a team fit for league one. It's like owning a luxury yacht and not appointing a captain to sail it for you at the moment!

So your remedy for all these changes is to change it again!

I can't for the life off me understand the big contract been given out to rubbish players were supposed to be the 4th richest club in england lambert was moaning about squad size so what do we do fill give them longer contracts instead off getting rid evans batth stearman saville price landell iorfa edwards all need to go buy some players who can pass to feet instead off hoofing the ball into areas and expecting our strikers to chase balls they have no chance off doing anythin with div 1 here. We come club avnt got a clue.

26 Feb 2017 16:21:51
Is Nicola Cortese free get him in to run the club. Look what he did for Southampton, created the best academy in the PL. They were at the at the bottom of div 1. He took them to the PL. had to make some very difficult and momentous decisions. Cleared loads out. Bought in pochetino, some great players were purchased and bought in from the EU. He ran the club but not into the ground but up into the PL! This is the sort of person we need to run the club and sort things out. 👍😉.

What makes me laff is when we win most people are like lamberts class good manager and then we lose lambert out I don't think you can judge him till he has is own way next season we ain't going down if we do il run round wolvo naked.

Lupinehowler ; have a look at the profiles of 'Board members' then tell me which of them know anything about the actual football! 'Managing director'. is commercially minded, who's specialty seems to be organising concerts (Ricoh Arena) and was appointed by Moxey (an accountant) other directors, a former director of 'Tarmac' and the owner of a construction company. Next in line is Thelwell, who is a 'Coach' (maybe a good one) answerable to "the Board" he's supposed to get 'the tools' to do the job, but only gets what he's given and passes them on to the manager. What chance the manager then? When presented with 'the tools' : Goalkeeper who can't catch - defenders who can't defend (one of who likes to play on the wrong side of the pitch) - 7 or 8 midfielders who all play the same game (badly) and strikers, that don't. Should be thankful we've got Mr Lambert and hope he's allowed to do what he wants in the summer, if not, the club will be like Blackburn/ Forest/ CoventryBlackpool ancd a few others where managers and Head coaches don't want to work.

Does anybody think they will sell the 16500 season tickets needed for the early bird refund by 1st May?
I think it's optimistic, and giving the likes of Lee Evans a 3 year contract would hardly inspire most people to rush out and buy a ticket.
We have essentially still got Kenny Jackets team, full of players brought to the club by thelwell. Kenny jacket got the best out of these lot in our first season back in the championship. The best players have gone, McDonald, sako and afobe and never really been replaced by any quality. We have a team full of good league 1 players and Costa, and we need massive investment absolutely massive to get to the premier, and until it starts happening I can't see them season tickets sold.
