How have we gone from definitely not selling Afobe to 'he is worth 14m.' That is a real 'come and get me' now for Newcastle and Norwich. They have the money and it would seem that we are open to accepting it. In that case, the timing is rubbish as we have no time to find a replacement and leaves us with an out of form Dicko and an unproven Le Fondre. I, for one, will be seriously brassed off if we sell #noambition.

Yes EJ good comment have to agree were did this 14m come from I would like to now
Does sound like a come and get me.

Yes I think its a hook too. We would take 14m I reckon has a Championship team ever turned down that kind of money?

Anyone else feel that 14 million for afobe is a ludicrous price?

As much as I rate the player he's essentially had half a season in the championship.

As important as he is to us, Personally I would happily take 14 million. With Rhodes on his last year of contract and players like Le fondre and dicko in the squad our strike force could still be a huge threat.

14 million would also allow us to strengthen the wider areas and the defence and give us a real big chance at a promotion push.

Just a personal thought.

would they spend all of or a big chunk on team building though. I somehow doubt it unfortunately.

Have the club actually come out and stated that Afobe is available for 14 million? Jackett has said he is not for sale and who would not beliee our Kenny.oops.
Is there also a sell on clause for Arsenal?

26 Aug 2015 20:31:49
no sell on clause & I would take £14m, as long as it's reinvested - Dwight Gayle, Harry McGuire & Albert Adamoah

Nobody knows where the 14m came from. Probably a guesstimate by a journalist. Is he worth that? Look at it this way - would Wolves pay that for a player who this time last year was almost unknown? And has played just half a season for a club who didn't get promoted? Probably not, so that makes it hard to resist if someone offers it.

These clubs presumably have problems up front and they would need to pay at least 14m for a young, proven premier striker. So worth them taking a punt on Afobe??

Fair play to Wolves rejecting Norwich 3rd bid of 10 mil. But u know its going to happen, whether it be Norwich or someone else.
