I cannot believe that most posters want a clear out of the entire first team and bring in either no hopers, has-beens or a foreign import with a unpronounceable name. The issue that SS will hopefully address is to reverse the trend started by MM under influence of TC to buy players for good money who supposedly had potential, and then either demotivate them or train them so poorly they became hopeless, if not both.
The hopeless defence, sloppy organisation and on field antics suggests that the players could not care, not because they are not professionals but because they lacked direction and motivation, led by Muppets not leaders (sorry Kermit – you have talent)
Hopefully SS will reverse this process and yes, there are a few who you wouldn't even give to Sandwell i.e. Berra, Stearman and Henry who will be quickly found out and hoofed out.
As the saying goes, they don't become bad players overnight, it takes a few weeks under MM and TC to achieve that

Will Mick McCarthy hurry up and accept a job in the Championship so he can take Terry Connor, Richard Stearman, Christophe Berra, Stephen Ward, Steven Hunt, Karl Henry, Sylvan Ebanks Blake and Dave Edwards with him

SEB is worth keeping for the championship. Needs to cut down on his pork pies though.

Karl Henyy has his limitations but he does provide a bit of steel in midfield. Championship is a hard slog so could be useful, especially if young Davis picks up an injury.

Blake has had 3 seasons without playing or scoring very much. he won't be the same this time round. Better start a fresh without him. Karl Henry is getting towards the end of his career and is a red card waiting to happen

I'd like to see SEB stay. There's some life in him yet. Like we had Iwulemo at the end of his career and got a good season from him. Don't want SEB to shine elsewhere.

He's overwieght and lazy.

I am certain Stale will do things his way and will be a great manager for us.I hope he gets rid of nearly all our present first team though because apart from henersey/ jarvis/and fletch they dont deserve to be here any longer. they are not good enough and have let us down.

Typical. The only ones you don't want rid of are the ones most likely to go.

Ha ha it's lovely up here on the moral high ground watching them all struggle!

Get Carlos Cuellar for free and take whatever we can get for Johnson..No-brainer imo

The real no brainer is to get Johnson's agent to do his job and earn his corn. All we can do present him on the basis of "it was really us, not his fault really" - you know, the kind of thing you say to a girlfriend when it's not working out, darling it's really me, not you, you're wonderful, I couldn't possibly keep you, etc.
