What a mess. The fans, players and club should've backed Mick. No one linked so far is an improvement, I hope the Boo Boys are happy now.

What is going on moxey wake up and offer ray wilkins a long term contract look what happend to chelsea when he left why cant morgan see sense wilkins all the way for me

Mick had not got a clue!!!!!

The fact of the matter is Mick needed to go and we needed to bring someone in asap but our board have no commitment to the club and are only in it for the money and now we have TC as our manager and i wouldnt be supprised if he gets it after the 13 games either absolute discrace we are down end of!

23 Feb 2012 23:10:49
Has anyone watched terry Connors interview. I hate to say it it's quiet good and comes forward quiet a nice bloke has his own idea which could mean a little diffeent football he made the changes at qpr in the second half and look what happened there. good look for saturday come on you wolves come on lads it not over till the fat bloke in gold and black sings( not Jez moxey)

Have you got a link to the Press conf

They should of sacked clipboard with mcarthy just for losing to the baggies either of them not a clue

I hope its not jez aswell i dont want that man repping our club again!

23 Feb 2012 22:50:01
gibo your an person mate get jones back now as for curbishley he was great at charlton but when he had money at west ham he soon struggled add to that he's never managed outside london and when you all realise jez moxey is like a cancer at wolves and cant negotiate with players or managers

23 Feb 2012 22:39:42
Reading between the lines. by curbishley turning us down. he obviously wants more control and say than they Will give him. maybe if he plays it out long enough he Will get the job and it Will benefit the team and club

23 Feb 2012 22:23:23
I think it was on wm today they asked moxey to give a statement to keep us updated n he turned them down flat shows how much he cares about the people who put money towards his wages

23 Feb 2012 22:14:15
To all the people who are asking for Mick McCarthy to be re-instated; we were without doubt the WORST side in the PL. I am in no doubt we are in no worse a position with Connor in charge than with Mick. We were going down BIG style with Mick in charge. At what part of the season do people think Mick showed any ability of turning us around ??
Also, do people think its odd how Lee Clark is always in the top few of betting favourites but there is no mention of him in the media. ED- Has he been interviewed do you know? {Ed013's Note - I haven't seen anything of him being interviewed. The last I heard was Ray Wilkins wanted the job, Gus Poyet had been approached but unsure of Brighton's decision and Walter Smith has rejected the job}

23 Feb 2012 21:53:24
Anyone have any latest info? i wondered if there were anything happening as betting odds on bruce have dropped even further now to just 1.8 on betfair. its looking bad for us imho

23 Feb 2012 21:52:19
Don't believe anything else other than by the end of tomorrow we will have a new manager.....most will be happy and some will be sad.

Its steve bruce hes 2/5 on

23 Feb 2012 21:43:24
If wolves get a result against Newcastle at the weekend, Terry Connor will get the job!

23 Feb 2012 21:31:45
What a shambles TC now second fav for managers job has'nt he out seen about four, five managers come on morgan, moxey gets this sorted we are becoming a laughing stock :(

23 Feb 2012 21:26:13
Give it to Lee Clark for the 13 games and if he keeps us up then he stays on. Simples
He's keen and enthusiastic, talks well and the players would like the guy I'm sure
Give him a go

23 Feb 2012 21:23:31
Paddy Power have Dougie Freedman as 3rd favourite. Not sure where he's popped up from.

23 Feb 2012 21:18:12
It amazes me that all the Wolves fans who were baying for McCarthy's blood now think that he did a good job. How fickle can they be, and maybe that's one of the reasons that we will never get a top class manager. Get a reality check, we are not a major Premiership force, and those who think that we would be an attractive proposition for a foreign billionaire, I would say one thing " Try living in the real world ".

23 Feb 2012 20:59:14
I thought at the outset at M&M said they would only appoint a Manager with Premier League experience, what happened to that?
It now seems that no-one wants the job, why not? what a shambles, I remember when Wolves were the real deal mismanagement has got them here and it's a real shame. Those that really run the club, M&M should hang their heads in shame, after all they got the club for a song from Jack Heywood who had the best interests of the club at heart. They need the fans for the finances of the club and they are losing it. Are they suicidal? They will never get a Manager who believes in their commitment to him now they are doomed! Go and quickly please!

23 Feb 2012 20:56:56
roy hodgson said after the black country derby "people should be careful what they wish for" when asked about mick mccarthy possibly being sacked...

never a true word spoken roy! moxey and morgan should get on there knees and beg mick to come back!

23 Feb 2012 20:34:34
what a circus this search for a manager has become.. You would have thought they would have had someone in place, but oh no!! Lets offerthe job to all in sundrey. With Wolves its always been about the money, but you sometimes have to spend the bucks to secure quality..Get Lee Clark in and stop messing around .

23 Feb 2012 20:14:54
To manage the mighty Wolves is an honour...to own the Wolves is beyond belief...I have some share certificates from the 60's that made fans feel more a part of the process...Morgan should do a private share issue whereby he relinquishes all that is Wolves but maintains the infastructure to meet his development needs..the only way forward for clubs with history although not TV attractive is a well run machine co-operative...John Lewis type Wolves?

23 Feb 2012 20:11:08
Searching for the next manager just reminds me of being single. As the nightclub closes all that is left is the fat and ugly birds.

N I was that pissed I married 1

23 Feb 2012 20:10:08
Can I take this opportunity to say we all owe Magic Mick McCarthy a great big debt of gratitude. He was honourable to the last and its obvious now he had little or no support from the two morons running our beloved club. I for one hope Mick finds another club who appreciate him for what he is. A thoroughly decent man who's been s**t on from a great height. Good luck Mick!

23 Feb 2012 19:32:58
Why don't we appoint a season ticket holder? If you win you get to fill your boots full of ale and get to manage again for the next match?

23 Feb 2012 19:06:10
Do you rember that bloke who used to walk around wolverhampton dressed as a cowboy waving a test card in your face? Well he as come in at 8/1

Legend, chased and shot me on more than one occasion.

He used to rant at the top of his voice " the bandits are coming " Perhaps he knew that Moxey and Morgan were gonna roll up in 15 years time.

The Polish tramp is in at 10's and he's been dead 3 years.

Fred the tramp is evens.

Fred the tramp has turned us down

Ezra the preacher new this was going to happen

Cowboy died years ago..Yes I remember him and he would have sat nicely between Moxey and Morgan if only to inflict his personality on them...he was a sandwich short by design but honest at heart...so a sandwich for Moxey and heart for Morgan

He's still knocking g about,he's a bible basher now,but he still spouts on about bonanza!

Based on the post above, he meets the criteria to at least be interviewed.

So is he alive or has he gone to that big prairie in the sky

You talking about texas pete lookalike?

23 Feb 2012 18:37:32
Lets start a 'bring back Mick' campaign!

Sit down

Shut up you person Mick should have gone before the start of the season or if you wanted to do the right thing by him move him upstairs, but please god NO not as manager

Whats that about bring back mick ...shut up will you mick ,we aint having you back lol

23 Feb 2012 18:34:42
I am as frustrated as anybody regarding non appointment thus far of a new Manager.

However it makes me cringe everytime someone says we should have kept Mick, or even worse lets get Mick back!!!

I have been calling for Micks head since we got beaten by Crystal Palace in the cup way way back as he clearly was tactically inept. Mick is now gone, which is great, but what worries me more is this...

Quite clearly Morgan trusts Moxey on the commercial side of the business and to balance his books. However its quite clear that when it comes to football neither Morgan or Moxey have a clue! hence the reason we had to put up with MM for so long. Also why get rid of the Manager after the transfer window and when you do why not have someone already lined up!!!!

I believe Morgan is realising these shortfallings hence the reason WE do need a director of football to oversee the FOOTBALL side of things. let Moxey worry about the price of the pies he obviously loves sooooo much.

We dont need Mick back we just need people who know about football. Fingers crossed that whatever happens in this sorry process is that we do.

23 Feb 2012 18:15:19
Have heard on the underground grapevine that Ray Wilkins will be appointed until the end of the season sometime over the weekend.

Wow this grapevine is really busy

23 Feb 2012 18:11:25
Steve Bruce's record: 8 yrs in PL: 13th, 10th, 12th, 18th, (2nd Champ), 14th, 11th, 13th, 10th (Sund'land's highest for 55yrs). Thoughts? {Ed001's Note - I don't think your figures are correct, didn't Sunderland finish in 6th during Peter Reid's tenure?}

That was from tim nash off twitter so I have no idea :-/

23 Feb 2012 17:36:42
lets rule out people curbs poyet (due to BHA turning away wolves) smith houghton holloway mcdermott

lets see whos left jones ince keane bruce TC

but iv just got this feeling that benitez will take it till end of the season dont ask why i just a feeling could be nothing

Ive got a feeling Benitez will end up at Chelsea yet. AVB has lost the dressing room and a couple more losses and i reckon he's gone.

23 Feb 2012 17:26:23
time for us fans to take action and protest inside and outside ground untill moxey is sacked and morgan looks for a new buyer this pair are a joke get rid now before they can do anymore damage to our once great football club

For gods sake get a grip

You get a grip

If Morgan pulled the plug we would be in a real world of s**t,but let's face facts Morgan and Moxey might well be excellent business men,but football men they ain't,I think they both realise this now and are a little embarrassed by this situation, that's where this director of football is coming into the picture, give them some credit, they ain't doing this on purpose they will do right by the club,in the long run.GBF

23 Feb 2012 16:58:40
Hey everyone, I've just heard that Jez is organising a social gathering in the local Banks's brewery....everyone coming...?......oh, on second thoughts.....

Lol i get it!!
4d.

23 Feb 2012 16:29:32
I've applied for the England manager's job.I know I won't get it, but it keeps the dole people off my back for another couple of weeks. My mate made the mistake of applying for the Wolves job. He's got to go for an interview on Monday.

Brilliant...made me chuckle.

23 Feb 2012 16:10:32
Time for a "MOXEY MUST GO"campaign. Becoming more and more obvious the wrong M went

Here they go again..... Because the guy wants to bring in the right man u all go off and shout for sackings..... Let's wait n c what happens.. All be singing his praises at the end of the season. Should rename this site fair weather wolves fan banter site .....

All 3 M's should have gone ,,lucky for those other 2 M's that there isnt a match at molineux this weekend

Nobody has ever sung his praises, We could win the champions league and I would still think Moxey is a prick.

It isn't a case of fair weather supporters. I have supported this club for over 50 years through thick and thin.

We are the laughing stock of football and when that happens the buck stops at the top, i.e. the Chief Executive. His sales pitch "to try to attract the right man" has been to offer low wages. no money for players and the sack if we get relegated after 13 games. And he has to work with clipboard man. I wonder why there are no takers. An absolute joke is what it is.

You will never hear true Wolves fans singing his praises.

Yeah sack the manager the CEO and the owner? How Does that work? Great idea shall we tat in the stands and sell the seats .... That how u would run a business? Lost some games so you would sack theanager, then ud sack ur board of directors and then sack it self.... Bravo to you for our input!! We're u calling for his head when he built the stand? Or bought players? Shall we just all give up n liquidate the club? Dow be such a sausage, wolves ay we through thick n thin... And fair play to jez and Morgan for not panic signing...

23 Feb 2012 16:00:34
I have supported this fantastic club for over 20 years, unfortunately as i am in the military i have been unable to attend as many matches as i would have liked to. That said i know the type of supporters we are, deep down all we want is commitment and some sense of direction in where our club is going. We need to see as much work on the pitch as off it, the writing was on the wall last summer with only 2 real signings. I would love for Big Mick to tell us what was really going on behind the scenes, whether he was stopped from making extra signings or not. I would love to see a surprise younger manager take over, complete with a new backroom staff as well. We need a completely fresh approach but more important than all of this is that no matter who the new manager is, the board must back him in everything he wants to do. That means no penny pinching from that waste of space Moxey,(
i dont hate many people but that man would try the patience of a saint, he incorporates everything that is wrong in football, namely greed).
Rant over! Whoever the new manager is (even clipboard) i wish them all the luck in the world and hope that they can keep us up, then hopefully rebuild in the summer. Lets get behind the team and encourage them, not berate them.

Up the Wolves

Give this man the job.... Respect to you. You do us proud

23 Feb 2012 15:47:27
Press confrence at 1700 tonight to inform us about a press confrence about the press confrence that's planned for sometime soon to tell us about some news that may or may not be about a new manager...... Honest, I once had a mate called Dave that knew jez's best friends cousins sisters vets uncle and he heard him say they are after a manager .... It's just a rumour tho but it's deffo true

23 Feb 2012 15:37:54
I think Wolves need to consider hiring a new P.R. person....
SW

23 Feb 2012 15:31:19
I am now third favourite for the job, behind Noddy Holder and Mr Bean

I am Mr Bean and I have turned it down.

Thats the longest sentence you have every spoken, Moxey must have wound you up big time Bean

You are right. I haven't spoken since I put my head up that turkeys arse.

Had a flashback when getting close to Jez's turkey neck?

You don't have to think to hard to know what I want to do to Moxeys neck

Haha, nothing involving roses and a candlelight dinner then?

23 Feb 2012 15:16:26
Breaking news Morgan has turned to his best mate Bob the builder can he save us yes he can. Tamworth wolf

23 Feb 2012 15:16:23
Moxey and Morgan should stop prating about and hire Ray Wilkins... we need someone who WANTS the job, he also has good contacts

You ever think that he might not be as sucessful as a managerhe the best number 2 it the world

23 Feb 2012 14:22:14
Rumour has it that Steve Morgan is trying to get in touch with the one and only Stan Cullis! Ouiji board booked for 7.30pm Thursday!!!!!

23 Feb 2012 14:21:32
Wish your club would stop ringing me up & offering me the managers job. I have said no three times. lol
BLUE MOOM.

23 Feb 2012 13:54:22
Ed- Seriously can you see anyone taking the
job with Morgans "vision" of a director of
football. I can't see anyone worth their salt
wanting to work under financial restraints plus the the two fools at the helm and on top of that someone like Souness for example? The whole
saga beggars belief and now they are blatantly clutching at straws. For so many people not to
want a job in the prem at least for now surely
tells everyone that what they are offering is a
joke? {Ed001's Note - that is an issue, though plenty of coaches around the world work with that system in place. I don't see why it couldn't work at Wolves, it provides for long term stability.}

23 Feb 2012 13:43:18
Moxey siad the deadline is 25th of feb so what happens if we dont have a manager after that do we have to stick with TC as our manager for the rest of the season! get off of your backsides and offer a manager a proper deal!! we should all protest outside the stadium and show that we will not let them make our club a laughing stock.

23 Feb 2012 13:17:50
Dave Jones into 14/1

So? Dougie Freedman has shortened to 33/1. Bruce still the clear favourite.

It's a very thin market. A £5 bet could probably shift it.

23 Feb 2012 12:38:52
Why all this speculation? We know Bruce is waiting for the call and the betting has consistently shown he's going to get it.

Everyone else we've heard about has recoiled at M+M's job spec (Curbs, McD, Smith...)

It's gonna be Bruce.

Anyone still doubting? He's 3/1 ODDS-ON at Ladbrokes. 123/100 at Betfair. That's the shortest anyone has been.

Agree. The bookies aren't daft and have had him in the top 3 from the off.
I really hope they are wrong.
People who think you throw a name in a a price appears are wrong. Bookies get real inside info which is the reason Smith and Mcdermott shortened.
Hopefully the shift in Keegans price has something behind it.

23 Feb 2012 12:34:05
There is nothing coming out of the club its all guess work here, looks like were in the hands of those running the BIG TOP!, this has turned into a farce im not even bothering to post till a manager has been appointed, cannot believe we didnt do this at the end of last season like i said, noone really thinks this is such a good job to take , you only have to look at the championship squad we have to realise that, hold tight all you fellow fans think its going to be a rough couple of years, think we will have to do a ground swap with the $hit as we wont be filling it in the championship!! SHREWD MOVE M+M, dont improve squad that nearly got relegated and build a 35k+ seater stadium.
4d

23 Feb 2012 12:25:08
Just get Steve Bull in until the end of the year. I'm convinced we will be going down anyway. Maybe with Paul Ince alongside

Steve bull manager, come on lets be serious here!! guess as a player manager? folk hero but come on!

23 Feb 2012 12:24:13
Looks like Kevin Keegan will be the next manager to have money placed on him

You're right! He's floating 20/1 with some firms but was absolutely nowhere earlier in the week.

King Kev is the answer.

23 Feb 2012 12:21:04
Dave Jones or Ray Wilkins until the end of the season. Extend contract if we stay up

23 Feb 2012 12:06:46
If they only want a manager for 13 games. Get Ray Wilkins

23 Feb 2012 11:10:55
Most major media outlets are now reporting Walter Smith is set to be appointed as manager until the end of the season.

A permanent decision will be made in the summer but Smith is likely to be retained as Director of Football.

Smith turns down the wolves job ,sky sports news

23 Feb 2012 09:55:57
Just goes to show...
All these rumours amounted to nothing. Right out of the blue came Walter.
It's fantastic for creating a bit of banter and interest.
But for people like wolvesinsider who try to con people into to thinking they are in the know... Well they are just full of the brown sticky stuff. {Ed001's Note - hardly out of the blue, everyone has already said the club were looking for a director of football, just no one knew who it would be. Or do you think Smith is intended to be the long term manager?}

Wolvesinsider said Curbs would be announced tomorrow. If not, then he is officially a person for raising all our hopes. {Ed001's Note - or he has just got it wrong, info is never 100%, no matter who you get it from.}

23 Feb 2012 07:16:28
With all these suppsosed people turning down the managers job at our great club it just makes you realize what restrictions Mick was working under ! Two Ms you have made us the laughing stock of the midlands.

23 Feb 2012 01:17:55
Think ive lost the will to be a wolves fan, so embarrassed by the whole sacking of mick and the shambles that has followed. seems we cant give the job away.

Think Ive got it sorted anyway.
Get Peter Adams in from the other wolves (speedway) after match interviews should be a loff.
Get Moxey out he dont look a good advert for a fit and healthy footballl team.
Lets have Danielle Lloyd and Suzi Perry fronting the club.
Coaching by Frimpong and bassong, just cause I like the sound of it.

And if that dow work at least it will have been more fun than this

Wow , embarrassed by the sacking of mick after the kickin we took off the scum? What a fan.... I'll listen to everything u say from this moment on......mate ur a joke plastic fair weather fan. They wanna get the right man and it takes time. Noone is saying the England set up is a joke coz they ay replaced Capello .... Just impatient joeys moaning coz they don't have anyone to slag off in the pub. Get a grip n suck it in
