Im hearing all sorts of names flying about for a striker but after watching Cardiff do a number on us the weekend. I was quite impressed with there front man Zohore. Think he is the kind of striker we need wouldn't get bullied by many defenders in this league and scored 13 times in 33 games last season more than our front man last year. Would be interesting to see Cardiffs reaction to a bid.

Wolves have a good squad of players this season just lacking the finishing touches and that's a top class striker but only the best to get us back where we belong so come on fosum don't hold back now put up the money to put the icing on for all of us loyal wolves fan that have followed for years time for us to have the best.

Afobe, Oliviera or Tiquinho (based on limited bits I've seen of this guy but he seems to be good both in the air and on the deck and 12 in 15 for Porto looks impressive) .

If none of these are viable and there's nobody Mendes can get I'd take a gamble on Wells as seemingly only one who is available.

I really hope we do well at Southampton but Brentford on Saturday is far more important. Coady, Boly, Jota, Neves, Bonatini and Bright all rested by the looks of it. Team will include Dangerous Dave and Danny Batth, I'm sure Nuno already knows plenty about them but it will give him a good chance to see how Ryan Bennett is progressing in terms of the 3 at the back system. Only a matter of time before through injury, suspension or lack of form that he has to change that back 3 so good run out for Bennett to show what he can do. Cardiff was a disappointment but a decent performance this evening against Prem opposition and a win on Saturday and we will be back on track. I am very excited and optimistic about what we can achieve this season. Experienced striker still required but with advice from Nuno and Uncle Jorges Big Jeff will sort that out I'm sure.

Why are we just talking about getting a new striker they don't they just put the money up and get the man they want and stop messing around let's make our team great again like we where.

Reason it doesn't just happen is because selling team are in pole position. They will sell when they are sure they have got the maximum price possible for their asset. If means waiting until the last minute to sell that's what they'll do. Our bids are probably in and closer to window close selling club will let all bidders know price in pole position and encourage a bidding war. Can't think we are the only ones looking at our top targets, whoever they may be!

New striker likely to come from Portuguese league if recent transfers are anything to go by. T Soares keeps being mentioned. Oliveira from Norwich another possibility but I can see that one going down to deadline day. Perhaps we should go for a journeyman like we did with Iwulemo. Someone who can score a few at this level.

{Ed047's Note - Me personally i would prefer Wolves to sign someone who is proven at this level and can get them out the league just like Rafa did last year, and than once in the Epl they can target better quality players because as long as Fosun run the club than Wolves will continue to spend heavily as these guys are insanely wealthy}.

Burton need a striker more than we do, so I see why they've gone for him. Good luck to both (especially against Cardiff, Ipswich, Forest. )

I'm happy to see the backups, after Saturday I think some of the new guys should be rested, would rather have a stronger lineup against Brentford and get back on it.
