Our players should be good enough to beat Crawley.

Thought Crawley were excellent tonight and deserved all the chances they made, can't blame any of our defenders, they played pretty well. I have to say, the backbone of the team is the strongest it's been in a while; Batth, Davis and Doyle were all very good tonight. We probably should've got the killer second goal to finish it off but, sigurdarson was probably a bit nervous knowing he's got to to try and keep big Leigh out the team. Only fault for me was on occasion Doherty, Evans and Ismail made a few silly mistakes but that will iron it with experience hopefully, as soon as Ismail matures a bit and realises the right times to pass or cross he will be a very, very good player

Not sure why but whatever league stearman is in he is an absolute liability, for this league I'd bring back frodo and stick him at left back on a pay as u play deal.

I like Davis but for me he played poorly tonight. He did look good on the ball and his first half performance was decent, but after that he had too many misplaced passes. Ismail looks good, he does need to learn when to pass but I thought his crosses were excellent, Just our strikers were not getting onto his or Sakos crosses. Evans looks set to be the next big thing but didn't show us why tonight. We haven't seen enough of McDonald yet so I can't say much about him, but well done for pressurising them for the penalty which Griffo took superbly. Siggy did well to get his goal but I would of liked to see him get onto some of his chances a bit better. The defense looked solid and can't really be put at fault for the goal. Doyle got a bit erratic towards the end but you can see the quality is still there. And finally if any Crawley fans are on here, well played tonight you should be proud of your lads and if you carry on like that you may well find yourselves pushing for promotion.

Stears did quite alright tonight mate

Were you watching the same game. Stearman was solid. Davis gave the ball away all the time. he was the weakest link tonight.

Seriouly what do people see in Davis because I think his over rated, Macdonald seems way ahead of him

Number 2. I agree. I think Hunt would be great in this league

Davis fair in first half but too many wild passes in second half. Doherty solid and McDonald needs to start - looked composed on the ball. Good 3 points but patchy performance. Nice to have a good atmosphere back at the ground.

Late winners in last two, this shows spirit. KJs comments spot on. More needed, should have wrapped earlier and stone wall penalty. We were not at our best but we won. My assessment of the team tonight was back line looked good though saw less of the fullbacks as an attacking force and Stearman lost his way becoming a liability from mid way through first half. Midfield was over run and wide men were at best inconsistent, but showed flashes of brilliance, both forwards worked hard but prolific not, particularly Sigi was starved of good service. Would like to see McDonald given start next week and Griffiths too, Evans and Ismael to be rested with Sigi starting wide right. COYW.

The stearman back flick to put the Crawley player through on goal, he never gets these lapses out of his game that's why I think he a liability, so yes I was watching the same game

McDonald and Davis are too different cm's Davis is defensive who can usually pass (passed poorly tonight) and McDonald is a attacking midfielder who'll shoot and create chances, Davis is like a version of Karl Henry really just possibly a bit more of an attacking threat than him.

WILKO

Stearman is always a concern. Got too cocky trying to dribble out if defence. Almost cost dearly. Davis looked too casual

Davis was very poor last night, he gave the ball away far too often and looked sloppy. Doyle too was a bit wasteful and to me now is starting to look very pedestrian. Ricketts looked excellent, I think him and Stearman could be a good partnership.

My biggest concern is the lack of quality going forward. I don't understand why nobody wants the ball, there is only Griffiths up front that has the ability to do something different. I'd also play him in front of the overrated Sigurdarson.

Verdict on first half, shocking standard of football!
Doyle earns more than their whole team put together!
If this is all you have Jacket, burger off!

We won today didn't we? Crawley are a hard opposition and play the best offensive football in league 1. You should be the one to burger off, we don't need negativity.

Wow are you a fan top poster? We played relatively well in the first half and we are top of the table for 24hrs what more do you want from KJ. Personally I would of liked you to of said that to the south bank tonight and saw what they had to say to you!

I'd be happy for us to play badly and win matches, . that's what the promotion/title winning teams do!

Well said poster two and we are top of the league for at least twenty four hours. There's no pleasing some people on here.

Verdict on first poster, what the '*#k? we ain't Barcelona, the trouble is we have too many negative supporters like you which is part of the reason we are where we are. I thought we played well in patches and if we had scored a second we could have relaxed and played a bit more. Crawley sensed this and gave us a good game. I think a lot of teams are going to come to us this season with a nothing to lose attitude, so be prepared for more games like last night.
