moxey to rein in 20m from player sales to cover loss from going down 16m from parachute

23 Apr 2012 20:44:28
IF big sam comes to us n we romp to the championship title next season or get to the final of a cup i wonder how many of you fickle fans will be saying how great he his ect

23 Apr 2012 19:49:30
Hold on a second, how can any1 feel sorry for tc?? He coached the team which mm managed, and when we got rid we made the failing coach manager......... Tc is and always has been a waste of time. Having said that he is defo going 2 be the next manager, wake up wolves fans moxley is married 2 tc's sister fact. Take a look at the women he attends every game with......

If this happens then it will prove the whole set up is rotten to the core.

Just because they're both black doesn't mean they're related...

She's American.

Look TC is not a manager, bu he is good with young players and can spot a good one, he should be given a job with the youngsters

TC is married to Moxey's wife's sister, so he is his brother-in-law, jobs for the boys! I've also said on this forum many times about the fact that Moxey's wife has the contracts for all the catering at the ground, fact.

who the fans do you feel should be sold, who would you keep and who would you buy with them funds.
my opinion out of the starting 11 and signings this would be my team.

Hennessey/De Vries
foley - zubar - stearman - wallace rangers
kites - ohara - davis - gorman/forde
ebanks - fletch

sell doyle, henry, jarvo. income from them by wallacxe from rangers and this team will get into the prem, then with money made buy more players to fill the gaps and challange in the prem again

Henry wants to stay n i say let him how many times did we get beat 5 when he wasnt on the pitch ?

Im just saying fill the team with experience and youth, jus sed henry cus he is linked with clubs but he is a good player for us and has had some great games recently

That lass in the ad above us looks like she could be a decent shot stopper. {Ed003's Note - You do know the ads are based on a demographic history of your own searches..........;) }

^^ could put forwards off no id be distracted

What lass? I get an advert for oil trading. Wonder what I've been searching to make that come up - probably cheaper fuel bills.

I get scantily clad moose

Crikey, it's the wife's laptop!!!!

If Moxey gets this appointment wrong then the chances are we could be in for another relegation scrap.
The whole thing stinks of the early 80's. A new stand ( John Ireland ) , dodgy owners (B. Brothers ) when the gates start dropping the profit goes with it. Don't be thinking it can't cus it can and it did.
MORGAN/MOXEY GET IT RIGHT.

These clowns will mess it up again

God you're negative. Haven't kicked a ball in the championship yet and we're already in league one!

Give me something to be positive about then cus i'm really not seeing or hearing anything that inspires.

Ok have a look at what moxey said yesterday if that's not positive well so fickle if we were in pompeys position then yeah could understand the anger to Morgan/moxey were in a decent position just a step back that's down to the players/managers look at each one of them players can u tell me they have performed to there ability no probably one how's that moxey /Morgans fault we will be back with a better manager

You really can't see what Moxey is up to can you. You only need half a brain to balance books. The clever one's invest and see their business boom and Moxey ain't clever. You will see. A bad start next season eg not top 4 after 6 to 8 games will see gates averaging 18 to 20 thousand. The profit goes, then comes the " we have no money to invest in players". As I said in the earlier post it could be a horrible trip down memory lane.

23 Apr 2012 18:24:44
yesterday we were religated.we have clowns running our club and second rate player with no manager.we should have been gutted but no.fans claped and cheeredlike we had won the league.it was embarasing.

They must be albion fans cos why clap that rubbish, albion fans are cheering and we are clapping ... couldnt believe what i was seeing tbh

Erm i think you will find they was clapping for the effort during the match if you dont like it dont go simple

So they put a bit of effort in on 1 match but still lose 2 nil to a very nervy man city team but we are suppose to forgot the last 20 matches were they didnt put any effort in,, get real will you and dont go urself and this club might move on

More like move down a decent manager wont come in whith hostile fans and neither will the board spend for ungrateful fans for gods sake stop slating the players 24/7 to make yourself feel more of a man (written by a girl btw)

I for one will never Boo my own players unless they are totally unworthy of the club.

I for one clapped at the end, not for the players, or for Moxey or Morgan or TC, but for the club and too say to all those Man City fans and people watching on sky, that NO MATTER WHAT we will always support WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS. The club will always endure and so will the support passed down from generation to generation.

If you cant get your head ropund this concept and just want to be some fickle cry baby go support Man Utd or maybe next week Man City or Maybe the week after Chelsea!!!!

Rumour has Colin Cameron has been approached by the board to meet with club about vacancy. Not only has he played for Wolves in the English Leagues but has coaching experience with MK and Coventry before taking on a managers position north of the border and has been successful in his early managerial career. I suspect he would be a partnership with DOF to guide him along.

On a second note do not be foiled by Jez Moxeys statement today about top players not leaving. This is an old school move to boost the players value. Note Birmingham tested this approach last time out and sold at the 13th hour for well under asking price. I plead with the board to get business done and early so we are settled for start of campaign.

My god were going crazy will someone issue some kind of statement! now cameron are there any more names to add to our file

Robert Plant as DOF and Suzi Perry to manage!

Suzi perry yes got more talent than tc

Would not be surprised if they give it to connor ,his playing sympathy card now he would be good on X factor as well

I would have him but not yet maybe a number 2 along side a good manager n then him to take over eventually

Get real will you

23 Apr 2012 13:48:47
Let the board show ambition with new manager. We stand to lose 20 million when you take in parachute payment. That can be covered by getting rid of all our deadwood ! Plus cuts in wage bill. Let us appoint proven manager and let him pay the wages necessary to bring in class players to mix with the best of our kids.

I have a horrible feeling that the players labelled as 'deadwood' will be the ones wanting to stay! Need to be ruthless in that case.

Jez has said we don't need to sell and also that they will assess the managerial situation at the end of the season. Please don't tell me that they have not been actively looking for the past 10 weeks! Oh my God.

23 Apr 2012 12:41:39
Yay moxey says TC could still have a future at wolves cause he's wolves through n through btw I'm being sarcastic

TC should stay at Wolves! Put him back to A.M. where e belongs but you can't punish him for stepping up when the club came calling! He did us a favour, was better having him as manager than no manager at all!

I know, and in some ways isn't that exactly the kind of nonsense-passing-for-management which has got us where we are today.

Fire Moxey and TC - we've got to move on.

I'd rather have craddock in charge least the dressing room respects him

Don't forget that Ally McCoist will be available shortly!

Read Moxey's words carefully. He didn't say "future as manager". Looks like there's a chance he'll be offered a coaching job under a new manager.

Coisty would be a good appointment. Worked under Walter Smith for many years and has a winning attitude as well as working under difficult financial circumstances.

You can't punish Connor, he couldn't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear could he poor bloke. You are only as good as the players you manage. Doesn't deserve to be kicked out completely - give him the reserves again maybe.

Get rid of the useless so and so ,,he couldnt run a bath dont be fooled by those crocadile tears the bloke should be on X factor

Very harsh

Get real will you this my Football club and i dont want this rubbish no more ,,the bloke is useless ,always as been and always will be

Terry connor is a dinosaur.we want a coach that plays football not hoofball all our problems start with him coaching the players.send him to the rugby league

23 Apr 2012 12:09:38
I'm liking henrys words and he wants to stay and take wolves back up I reckon we can keep most of this squad together we don't need the money just need a good manager to discipline and direct them hoping to feel much happier this time next season

You really think a new manager will have Henry in the team let alone captain. The player is no good and he will be caught out by a decent manager, decent manager wont fall for that im wolves player though though s%^t.

Whats going to happen when new manager picks his own captain ,i will tell you what will happen, Henry will cause trouble for new manager and captain and we wont go up.
F8&K him off

23 Apr 2012 11:15:39
Wolves will find it hard in the Championship, as its a very hard league to get out of..
If we can keep hold of Kightly, Fletcher and possibly Henessey then we have a chance.. Notice i havent included Jarvis as he will most definately GO..

23 Apr 2012 10:10:13
Allardyce. Financially out of market due to back room team.
Bruce. Feels Morgan failed him last time out, and unless sudden change in board will not sign.
Cameron. Young and inexperienced, first not scottish job would be gamble.
Connor. 2 points out of 27. Not the man but wish him well.
Ferguson (Junior). Still much to learn before taken seriously by bigger Championship clubs.
Curbishley. Wants different things for club than board.
Freedman. Palace through and through.
Holloway. Most probable of all but only if Blackpool do not go up.
Hughton. Loyal and at best will give one more shot if fails in play-offs.
Ince. Not shown has aptitude above league one. Will cause power struggle.
Megson. Ex Albion and face cannot and will not fit.
McDermott. Premier league.
Poyet. Taken Brighton as far as he can. Looking for next step which will be West Ham if they fail to get promoted.
Solksjaer. Molde in Champions League, wants to add to his CV before move to top European League.
Souness. Washed up and would not consider post outside of prem.

Based on the above unless there is still a candidate out there we have not as yet mentioned Holloway is the only candidate which is realistic..

My choice Curbishley DOF and Hughton or Cameron head coach - wishful thinking me thinks.

Are we talking Colin Cameron? I think he's got potential - he was an intelligent Scottish player like Paul Lambert. Perhaps a little too soon for Wolves manager but under an experienced manager or DOF he'd be worth considering.

Out of that list, Bruce and Holloway seem to be the easy choices as they both have experience winning promotion from the championship. (Megson too I suppose). We can cross out some of those like Ferguson, McDermott, Souness and Solskjaer.

I wouldn't rule out Ince or Freidman although I don't think they are right.

Curbs is still my number 1 but whatever stood in the way 2 months ago will stand in the way again I guess.

Add: Di Canio, Billy Davies, Ally McCoist (who knows what will happen to Rangers?), McLeish (Villa will probably fire him, perhaps for Curbs) and as a long shot, Tony Mowbray.

Ironically if Mick hadn't been the last manager he'd be in the running too, like Bruce is.

Why would megsons face not fit were a professional club its childish to keep banging on about albion if he is the best man for the job then so be it

Regardless of Megson's Sandwell connection, his record is poor. We must get better than that.
His appointment will keep more fans away and see the club nosedive.

Any real dark horses Keegan? Bilic ed 001 is Morgan even looking abroad? Or names not mentioned so far {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware it is the Championship that is being looked at.}

Megsons not my choice but you can bet if he turned it round sandwell would be forgotten

23 Apr 2012 08:38:52
Mr Morgan must make a decision now and rid the club of Mr Moxey he must employ someone who has a football knowledge ,and will allow us the freedom to move on ,BUT WE MUST NOT OVERSPEND AND THREATEN THE EXISTANCE OF OUR GREAT CLUB

Why curbs ?already turned it down twice he sounds keen NOT if you listened to robbie savage on motd 2 he mentioned lee clark as being young and hungryand worth a shot liked what he said about us

23 Apr 2012 08:29:21
This is a big season coming up for wolves not only do we have to gain promotion we also have to redesign our squad with the basis of a team that can compete in the premier league,so bye bye to a lot of the overpaid substandard players that have been wearing our colours for the past two seasons .well done Mark Davis a young lad who came in and showed some established pros how to win a battleon the field. {Ed003's Note - David}

23 Apr 2012 07:48:28
Im actually quite excited and optomistic bout next season when i think about it if im honest.

No more getting hammered every week

No more biased refs

No more cheating diving, well not as much anyway lol

New look squad & manager

Sometimes its better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish fish in a big pond

Dont get me wrong, i like the coverage of the premiership, but would prefer to build a team that will shock the prem next time were in it like swansea or norwich not just try to survive like we have done for 3 years......

Barnsley, were coming for you !! lol

A few more wins would be nice. I don't have the stats handy but something like 20 wins in 3 seasons is pretty depressing with over 100 matches played.

Dropping to the chapmionship doesn't really bother me. If that's our level then that's where we should be. Should be some old rivalries revived like Leicester, Forest, Palace and Brum.

23 Apr 2012 07:47:52
Wolves already 10/1 favourites to win the championship next season n 11/4 to get promoted hmmm thinking a bet is in Order

Good odds but methinks the market doesn't rate our chances highly. Perhaps we should take note.

For what it's worth you could have got 10/1 on relegation back in September.

23 Apr 2012 00:44:49
Im a loyal wolves fan, I was gutted we got relegated but what a stupid idea putting TC in charge when he has no experience, and players like david davis, eggert jonsson, jonny gorman, anthony forde players who played this season have gained the premiership experience to take in the championship next season and smash it, dorus de vries will be top class for wanderers next season
hennessey I hope stays and we made him but highly unlikely
id like someone who can get wolves to play attractive football and pass in charge next season,

It just seems a coincidence no hennessy no cricket score !

Can't blame Hennessey for the score lines. Our defense has been clumsy and our midfield rather vacuuous at times. We're not bad at scoring goals, though, all things considered.

Clough used to say a good goalie was equivalent to one goal per game (so he signed Shilton). Not saying we need to get Cech or Casillas but it's one position you have to get 100% right - no second chances.

Man City weren't exactly on form yesterday and their shots were largely off target. De Vries didn't have a lot of saves to make but seemed quite confident and his distribution was good. Liked the fact that he was prepared to throw the ball out rather than boot it out for 50/50 possession.
