Why? Wilsons a different type of player to martin. he's not worth more than 5m and I think that's why we didn't go back with a counter offer. Hopefully they will look at alternatives.

Who are the alternatives that would actually come to us that wouldn't cost more than 5 million? I agree Wilson is a different type of player but still a main striker, I would like to see Martin sign for us think he would be a good buy.

Walter Zenga is working wonders with Jacketts players but I'm concerned that he isn't playing the imports ( Jonny Bod excluded) . Perhaps he can see that they are no better than what we have. The squad is thin and we won't go without injuries - still need more player, particularly LB and CD.

We need defenders and doesn't matter he's 18 he's played premiership and champions league alongside some good international defenders so he probably knows how to play! "If they're good enough they're old enough" - Zenga is crying out for defenders and a striker so we have some cover for injuries during the season.

Don't get me wrong, a fantastic start to season but think people are being a bit premature talking about promotion, previous match we were dreadful. How many false dawns, remember when we won four in a row last season and people were talking about promotion? Before people slate me for being negative I am just keeping my feet on the ground.
