it was ironic to see kightlys celebration apparantly he was pretending to suck a dummy kind of suits him well rid i say

I say get over it. A few years ago Grays Athletic fans were probably saying the same thing. And what are Lillestrom fans saying now about BBS? Hopefully "thanks and good luck".

Hi Forest fan in peace.

Whilst there is nothing official it is widely thought that we are talking to Adam Hammill.

We tried to sign him last time but he chose you.

I know fans often slate both former and outgoing players but could you give us an honest view on him.

I wish you well this season and hope you get promoted along with us.

Thanks

(Not looking forward to coming to your place this year, you thrashed us last time!!)

Tricky one, I think that Hammill actually thinks he's better than what he is, but also I don't think he's been given a fair crack at Wolves so its difficult to cast an opinion, you'd probably have to go back to how well he performed at Barnsley where he was excellent at this level.

Could be a great player but seems like he upsets the dressing room so i hear

Hi mate, i personally, along with a lot of other fans think that Hammill has got massive potential, fast feet always lookin at attackin defenders, skillfull, i rate him highly.. for some reason like guedioura, cant get a look in here. possibly cause ive heard he's a bit of a trouble maker, just guessing tho... Yeh, all the best this season, LeeWWFC

Hammill has so much potential as a footballer...unfortunately as a human being he leaves a lot to be desired. He hasn't yet learned where to make a happy medium. He will cause problems and his ego will come out to disrupt then his toys out of the pram then off on loan for someone else to suffer.

Good at going round in circles and dribbling into dead ends. Sort of player I would chuck on in the last 10/15 mins if we were 1 down.

Apparently he caused problems at Liverpool as a youngster too, which is why they got rid as quick as. Would definitely do a job for you this season he is a good player, but to repeat what the others have said, he was never given the chance at the Wolves, like so many others, Guedioura, Surman, Milijas etc.

Can't wait to play you at the City Ground (not far from where I live.)

Basically if you sign Hammill, Wolves have basically gift wrapped promotion for Forest, along with Guediora.

Would Forest like big George, Ward and Stearman too as our bargain basement is getting a bit full

Guedioura was sensational for us on loan last season and has looked a class apart in the friendlies plus got our winner on sat. Don't understand whu he was allowed to leave WW

why all the surprise at saturdays result what do we expect the majority of the squad is mccarthys who would have been fighting relegation even from the championship last season sol will need time to pull this around weve got to back him

Well he should stop playing mccarthy's persons ,they let down before and they will do it again/
SS is just bringing trouble on himself

Why are people so anti Mcarthy ans extreme in their views - fighting relegation from the Championship - please get some perspective. Mcarthy,s championship record is as good as anyone's and his players are now being sold for millions more than they were bought for so c,mon if the squad had been kept together it really should be good enough to get out of this league.

Well said, McCarthy seems to be only judged on last season by some silly people. Let's all move on. We have reasonable squad who are just lacking confidence

Any1 else bored to death with the fletch n jarvis transfers? 11 days of the window left, just get rid, even if it means loosing half a mill, n sign 3 good players! A CB is an absolute must, a creative midfielder is a must with the crock o hara still out, and a poacher, some1 who will stick the thing in the net, on sat vrs leeds it was so obvious that doyle n SEB have forgotten how to score, being 10 yards in front of the opposition def is not where u score goals, no1 will play on the last man! N if we r going to conceed goals (which it looks like we are) then we need to score lots!

And a LB as ive said before

WILKO

I really dont think ward is that bad but u cant expect an average lb to play 50+ games and elokobi aint very good backup so yes new lb new cb(maybe 2) new goal scorer and a left winger

If the player situation was not bad enough, all the money spent on a new stand , only to discover that
part of the upper tier has been allocated to Barnsley fans-absolute disgrace!

I hope that is not right the north bank has never had away supports in if rite what next morgan sell our name off call it redrow morgan ground

Away fans are in the stan cullis it says on the web site

Has morgan moxley no brains away fan will small the toilets ect up why can they not be botton of steve bull how much more has morgan moxley going to rub our noses in it i am fumeing away fans in the north bank mongan has no honour

Which is what I have just said

It has been stated quite clearly over the past few months that away fans will be in the corner of the new stand or the lower tier of the steve bull! keep up please!!!

Originally away fans were gonna be situated in the corner but I remember seeing on the wolves website a while ago that they won't be doing that and instead will be in the lower tier of the Steve bull

Thank you for that but morgan moxley piss me off so much

The corner of the steve bull/stan cullis will eventually become the permanent away fans area as stated by the club when they announced redevelopement plans. They will have their own CAGE to keep the wolves off em!

Only teams with a small following will be in the North Bank freeing up more tickets for Wolves fans (not that that is necassary).

The idea of them being in a corner is so the away fans have as minimal effect on the game as possible (a la St. James Park).

It's hard to tell what Wolves are capable of until they get that winning mentality back. The lack of confidence is sapping the creativity out of the team, a few wins and we'll be on our way. Not sure Henry is the best midfielder/captain long term but due to the instability at the club he might be best short term.

Dan Wolves.

P.s - It's pretty depressing playing two strikers who have so clearly lost thier scoring touch. Would love to see Siggy and Fletch up front, would score a barrel load.

Fletch will probz never play for us again

This only my 3rd post ever. My last post eluded to the fact that we were shocking at the back and that I would settle for a 'slightly' extended stay in the Championship in order to cleanse the squad of the fringe/squad players that we don't really need who are taking up valuable pay roll which is the more likely cause of concern for M&M, i.e. the size of squad we have when most of it is Championship standard at best.

My theory behind the situation we and our beloved Wolves find ourselves in is down to the following;

1. We did not recruit premiership talent enough to allow us to challenge for mid table mediocrity during the seasons we had in the Prem. Therefore ;
2. We have in fact - Gone Backwards when all around us have made strides forward. (Look at Southampton 2 years ago in the 1st and now almost getting a result against citeh)
3. We have the likes of David Edwards and SEB (and others) on too long a deal stifling our ability to add too much to the squad in terms of numbers. We therefore have to rely on quality which in itself is hard to attract to the Championship.

So who is to blame;

A. McCarthy for having the arrogance to sign players to long deals that clearly are not good enough to grace the Old Gold in the Prem;
B. Moxey for his apparent reluctance towards commercial common sense
C. Morgan for allowing the other 2 to make the mistakes they have/are making.

My opinion is that we had the arrogant and tactically naive McCarthy believing he could coach premier league football into a bunch of players of whom the backbone he had acquired within the Championship. This why (in my opinion) we have GONE BACKWARDS 2 YEARS!

This is also why we need to SS a chance to re-build and give him the space and time to restore the beautiful game to the Mol. I am not saying he is the man, because anyone would have a tough task ahead of assembling some sort of team out of what SS has just inherited.

On Saturday the 3 stand out performances (however brief 2 of them were) were the 3 acquisitions/loans SS has brought in.

On that note I will sign off with a hearty plea to sing your hearts out for SS and make him feel at home this week, with half a mind on the situation he has inherited.

Out of Darkness Cometh Light!

UTW

B Tim

Spot on!

Good post newbie

So steven fletcher seems to have a ankle injury but according to his mate on twitter, they've been playing golf all weekend! how disrespectfull can a player get, think we should accept the next bid for him and invest in 2 full backs and a winger.. ive heard today also that Burnley want Hammill and Southampton want Berra... LEE WOLF

20 Aug 2012 07:46:47
Still can't believe the Kightly situation, stating how much he loved wolves, then jumping ship, then to watch him celebrate scoring for another team , nowt stranger than folk eh .........

20 Aug 2012 07:28:39
Henry to feature at CB on O'Hara returning to midfield. Strengthening to occur with new LB, CM, wide man with money from Jarvo, Milijas, Berra. Fletch will knuckle down till January unless Tottenham meet the 15 mill, note they will have cash from Modric deal. Wolves will be called to act if Fletch leaves a loan move is likely for striker to offer rivalry to SEB, Doyle, Sigi and Nouble. Kane would be the obvious built into Fletch deal for one year. I think we should test Birmingham's resolve for Marlon King if Fletch goes, Arsenal for Frimong, and use Stale's euro links for a LB, I also would like to see us move now for goalie as cannot believe Hennessey's head won't be turned come January - Stockdale would be my choice but Westwood is not bad suggestion.

Henry at cb hopeless

20 Aug 2012 02:35:45
I know it sounds unrealistic but I would love it if we got thomas ince and Wilfred Zaha in to replace Jarvis and fletcher, respectively. I think it would definitely make me, and many more wolves fans, more optimistic about the current season. Although those two alone won't be enough we need another cb and a lb as well, I am gutted about geromel I think he would have been excellent, and I reckon boenisch wold have been a good fit at left back. But never mind, I'm still relatively positive about this season as even if we do not get promoted I think it'll be a big wake up call for the players and they will work even harder for promotion the next season, and by then they should be fully practiced in the methods of Stale.

20 Aug 2012 01:05:28
Various sources saying Forest are now in talks with Adam Hammil. I reckon he'll go!

19 Aug 2012 23:54:57
Why are our fans demanding eveything to happen now, new players new style of play new backroom staff etc... Its ridiculous, even if we don't go up this year it means next year we can mount a real assault on the league with a clear and defined gameplan then if we do go up we will have a defined strategy like swansea, it takes time to build a team and style of play. PATIENCE!

19 Aug 2012 23:52:55
Why not play mouyokolo? as a Centerback? he hasent played much for us (4games in fact) he is quite decent and i dont understand why mad mick loaned him out last season... why dont he play CB with johnson?

he's barely had a couple of injury free days while with us, he spent a year on loan in france and managed a pitiful amount of matches due to yet another injury, will never make it back regularly.

I think it was his debut against man utd and he was solid in that game don't think he gave a bad impression in the games he played got to be better than Stearman.
