Alex Mcleish anyone?

02 Nov 2016 07:18:36
No thanks.

02 Nov 2016 09:21:59
Done half decent in most his jobs. Paul Lambert is up there for me with one of my most disliked characters. I'll be gutted if we get him.

02 Nov 2016 18:05:51
Agree wtih you there Wolves_4_Life; Lambert damper than a Monday morning! However, McLeish - no thanks!

Macclesfield v Barnsley!

01 Nov 2016 16:26:50
Paul Lambert and Roy Keane to be re united at Wolves?

01 Nov 2016 22:03:37
Lambert for definate but not sure who his number 2 will be.

01 Nov 2016 15:33:08
Out of the 3 favs. Its got to be lambert for me. I honestly think i'd have to keep away from the Mol if that d**k head pearson was to take over. What a muppet! I just get a funny vibe from Sherwood when listening to him on the tele too. Lambert did wonders for Norwich. i'm not judging him on what he did at the Vile and Blackburn as that was a bad decision on his part to apply for both.

Dougie f. in Freedman?! Did I miss something? Last time I heard he'd done nothing!
Is it just me, or are Wolves making a complete pigs ear of it all again? We sign half of Benficas B team and throw em into the championship with an Italian Manager with no knowledge of the English game and more clubs than Nick Faldo. It all goes pear shaped so we look British this time to try to get the best out of a team that cor talk English, despite the fact that in reality there ain't a decent one out there. ffs.
Out of darkness. hows it goo.

01 Nov 2016 15:00:42
SACK LAMBERT NOW!

01 Nov 2016 16:07:02
And whoever follows him.

Oh, and Fosun out too.

01 Nov 2016 14:34:30
Won't be any of the names being guessed by all and everyone. rather give a chance to "on of our own" Paul Ince, Paul Cook or a youngster by the name of Carl Robinson, Championship winner as player at Portsmouth and Sunderland and managed Vancouver to league title, all be it in Canada. Need a WOLF to lead "The Pack"!

01 Nov 2016 10:48:14
Not dead happy, but Sherwood is my choice of the last 3 🙄.

01 Nov 2016 13:08:35
It may be just me but Sherwood is a muppet so uninspiring if he was that good Spurs would hae kept him. Person is a lunatic who needs counselling. Lambert did well at Norwich on that basis my choice although not my 1st choice. Best of a bad bunch imo.

01 Nov 2016 14:28:55
So the dreams that came with the takeover are just a memory. It was so nice whilst it lasted.
We are poor poor poor.

R. I. P.

Well it seems like Lambert is all but confirmed in the job - 1/ 6 with for the job, Pearson second with 9/ 2. I'd honestly prefer Dean 'Colonel' Saunders as opposed to this Villa REJECT. An appointment really lacking in ambition. Years of turgid, dull football at Villa. He did do alright with Norwich but his time at Blackburn was equally uninspiring. Lacking even the passion that Zenga had. Stick to the punditry in my opinion.

01 Nov 2016 10:05:30
"He did do alright with Norwich"? The bloke got them promoted from League One to the PL in two seasons! He was a genius at Norwich! When Lambert managed Colchester, they hammered Norwich 7-0 in League One. Norwich immediately poached him. Zenga's passion was misleading, he certainly was not interested in giving his all for Wolves, as he never bothered to move here or see the youngsters in the academy.

01 Nov 2016 10:44:39
Well that's all very negative stuff Wolfie Wild, and I for one don't agree with your comments at all.

Lets look at his record. He got Norwich promoted from League 1 and then took them straight through into the Premiership the following season (all done with very little money) . He then kept them in the Premiership the next year before leaving to take the reins at Villa. At Villa he did OK under the circumstances. He was not given any money by Randy Lerner, so had to rely on a young inexperienced side to try and perform in the Premiership, and as we all know no Manager would be able to succeed under those circumstances. Tim Sherwoods failure at Villa can also be excused for the same reason.

At Blackburn he also did OK working with difficult owners (Venkys) and again no money.

Lets be positive whoever gets the job.

UTW.

I doubt the new manager will get any money from us either. So we need someone who can, well, manage.
