Long time snooper, but first time poster. just had to make my feelings on this known.

I think it's ludicrous the amount of complaining a lot of you are doing with regards to our dealings in this transfer window. Firstly, you were all saying we needed Williamson, but wouldn't fork out for his wages. then we signed him. A lot were clamouring for us to stump up the cash and sign Mason, we signed him for £3,000,000 (by NO means an unsubstantial amount of cash for a championship club to spend on a player btw) then everyone is saying he's useless and we should have spent the cash elsewhere. Mason will turn out to be a great signing for us, mark my words. Everyone is saying we should sign Bradshaw. a friend if mine is a Walsall season ticket holder who hasn't missed a game in 15 years. He tells me he is far from a great player, and would unlikely cut it at a higher level. He just stands in the right place and league one defences are awful.

So that pretty much sums up my thoughts. I think after recent times, we (as a club and as fans) should be happy with the current state of the club. be happy with our young future stars. not get annoyed when we inevitably sell them for huge profits (that's how all successful clubs work. except the top 3 or 4 teams in the country) .

Just relax and be happy.

And quit this boycott nonsense. Be thankful we aren't Leeds. Portsmouth. Luton etc etc. We are not in crisis. We are challenging for the playoffs.

Okay, I'm done :)

UTW.

No, we're not Leeds, Portsmouth or Luton. Neither are we Bournemouth, Stoke, Leicester or Swansea. These clubs showed ambition and spent some cash in order to get out of the Chumpionship and are now well established in the Prem. We should be able to compete with clubs such as these IMHO but we never will so long as M and M are running/ ruining things at Wolves.

Very very funny, can't take any of it seriously.
You must have written scripts for Monty Python with all that humour you spouted.

Bournemouth and Swansea didn't get promoted by splashing cash. They got promoted by having good young managers in Howe and Rodgers (/ Martinez) who trusted their good young players to do the job. Stoke and Leicester got into a position where they were able to splash the cash before doing so. aided by attendancies of 30k+ week in week out and sensible running. (leicester still aren't splashing cash btw)

{Ed003's Note - Bournemouth did spend lots (wages, bonuses etc way beyond their 'natural' income)

02 Feb 2016 00:06:51
Is that you Jez welcome to the forum :)

02 Feb 2016 00:07:31
Bournemouth are not established in the premier league.

Swansea's good spell seems to be ending.

Leicester's dramatic turn around didn't come through spending.

And stoke began spending only when already established.

Other than that. you're spot on.

02 Feb 2016 05:05:38
Ed - the point made was that bournemouth spent big to get promoted. They may very well have spent high on wages, but certainly not much different to Wolves' wage bill the year we got relegated to league 1. And the bonuses were paid upon getting promoted. not TOO get promoted.

As far as transfers were concerned, they spent £3,000,000 on Callum Wilson and around £1,000,000 on Andrew Surman. Both in the summer. no players were purchased in the January window.

I'm not suggesting Joe Mason will prove to be as good a player as Wilson. but he's a good player and will do well for us. I'm disappointed that we missed out on a couple of loan players who other championship clubs got. McGeady and Sanogo to name but two. I think we definitely should've signed Clough - injury prone or not he's a great prospect and his value is only going to rise. and I want Moxey out as much as the next wolves fan. But our club is far from being in crisis.

{Ed001's Note - but Bournemouth would have been in trouble if they had not got promoted, there is no long term plan for the club. If their owner gets bored they are screwed.}

02 Feb 2016 06:54:59
Totally agree. which is why spending big isn't (necessarily) a good idea.

I hate to come across as so argumentative on my first day on here. just advising caution. The people saying we should splash cash should be careful what they wish for. O'Hara, Johnson and all were thought of as good signings when we made them. nearly ruined our great club.

02 Feb 2016 09:17:12
Surrendering big is not the answer the v teams mentioned prove that. But l don't think Swansea or Leicester did.
Ooh and guess what both managers involved in the creation of the clubs are both on the file as we speak .

02 Feb 2016 11:20:46
I agree with you.

Amidst everyone blaming Moxey/ Morgan etc let's put it this way. Had Dicko not been injured we would be 100% at least 6 points better off right now thus within a win of the play-offs. To lose your number 9 for the season is a tough one and you can't 'just' replace that type of player. To then lose Graham for a year too is astonishing, Zyro looks good and again out for 6 weeks.

It's not all their fault some is bad luck. We are not far from a good side. Take the top 4 out, Boro, Derby spent big, Burnley and Huil kept good parts of thier sides. We're not that far off the rest.

By no way am I happy with the club don't get me wrong but I think people have wound themselves up to the point they're slightly blinkered.

01 Feb 2016 22:39:56
Until people start voting with their feet nothing will change, Morgan will keep on banking the cash and sending Moxey and Jackett out as pathetic spin doctors to tell all the lemmings not to worry and keep sending their money in. Until one of these home league matches has a sub 10000 crowd nothing will sink in.

01 Feb 2016 22:05:17
Please tell me if this is a stupid suggestion but I've been thinking recently the last 3-4 games wolves have been playing more attackive exciting football than they have done throughout the season. Could this have been a suggestion from Morgan and moxey to play 2 up front and boost excitement recently and help boost early bird sales. Surely more people will buy if the footballs more exciting. Just a suggestion.
Thoughts?

01 Feb 2016 22:16:27
No point doing an early bird with the lack of activity in this transfer market! Until were sold or some proper investment people will be pickin and choosing games! Well done Wolves shot yourself in the foot again!

01 Feb 2016 22:29:07
Everyone should boycott the early bird. Then we may get some investment.

01 Feb 2016 22:39:07
That's a good idea cut your nose off to spite your face and pay full price 3 months later doh.

01 Feb 2016 22:42:56
What exciting football is this? James Henry running down the wing while the rest stand still and Edwards running round like headless chicken.

01 Feb 2016 22:47:51
That's exactly it but it's an improvement from the 6-7 performances before that.

01 Feb 2016 21:33:29
No kike, no signings, no ambition, not surprised!

01 Feb 2016 21:51:32
We are to slow to catch a cold, never mind sign some decent players.

01 Feb 2016 21:59:37
We were told this morning that two transfers were planned by Wolves and this is exactly what we got; Mekhi Leacock-McLeod to Rangers and Ismail to Oxford. Excellent business Wolves; that should add at least 5000 to the gate tomorrow!

01 Feb 2016 20:49:01
Jordan Rhodes has been finalised, does this mean kike is on his way?

01 Feb 2016 21:19:06
Boro say he won't be leaving today.

01 Feb 2016 20:03:18
Get sako on loan.

01 Feb 2016 19:37:52
Well wait for loan window there's two games until then we need players now.

01 Feb 2016 19:32:33
Is adelene guediora available for us to loan. would love to see him back, was never given a fair crack.

01 Feb 2016 19:42:26
Should never of let him go so strange but that's wolves.

01 Feb 2016 18:11:00
Get bradshaw and clough in, now. leeds and brighton have joined the race to sign kike.

01 Feb 2016 17:00:17
So kj happy with LB situation not looking bring anyone in says happy with doc and hause is option just chasing a striker waiting on other clubs so on about Kiki I expect.

01 Feb 2016 19:32:37
The man has become a joke to rival desperate Dean!

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Everton Tie Marred By Racist Chants, Altidore Shock As He Scores And Much More

01 Feb 2016 13:59:28
Steven Fletcher to Marseille!

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

01 Feb 2016 15:02:19
If he ends up on the guillotine then he really CAN say "Head's gone! "

01 Feb 2016 12:42:25
Hearing Tom Bradshaw is off for a medical/ discuss terms at Bristol City after they had a big accepted. Surely we can afford what they can afford?

01 Feb 2016 13:08:04
Unless JACKETT has got a number 9 lined up be stupid not bringin Bradshaw in. Young and cheap which our board like.

01 Feb 2016 13:16:15
Not true - story came from a fake twitter account.

01 Feb 2016 15:01:31
Just seen Bradshaw in ASDA car park. Basket full of isotonic drinks. Likely? I think so.

01 Feb 2016 07:15:08
Does anyone else think we shouldn't sign a striker on a permanent today but only on loan. Come next year and say we're playing 1 up top we will have the new striker, joe mason, dicko, zyro, sigurdarsson, enobakhare, mcalinden all pushing for the first team. Yes it will be great for competition but players will be pushed out due to lack of game time. Could even possibly lower the morale of the squad.
Also who do people think will be coming in and going out today?
Thoughts?

01 Feb 2016 07:35:07
Those last three probably out of the reckoning but yes it does look like we have too many strikers my guess is no more strikers but maybe a loan if injuries continue.

01 Feb 2016 08:29:11
We do need a striker but only a quality one because that's what we're lackin up top! Quality!

01 Feb 2016 11:06:27
Wonder if we will play Alf and Mason against Bolton. That will probably be the first time we have played Alf in the position he needs. Who will go wide left, Henry VLP Byrne or a real left sided player in Rowe. Maybe three up front with Mason on the left VLP on right and Alf in the middle.
