Are we making this appointment unnecessarily difficult for ourselves? What is the priority here, the 13 games left in this season or the longer term?
Simplest option - the man who saves the season should go on to manage the following season/s. Who is best suited here? An old hand like Curbs, maybe Bruce, possibly a young buck, Lambert (with permission). But that's about it you would think, prem experience/prem manager. Where's the issue? The answer - supposing he doesn't save the season, does this blow a Prem only manager out of the water? And invite consideration of non-Prems like Poyet, Clarke, Solskjaer, covering options?
Or a 13 game tournament manager, dare I say it, maybe Rafa, till 13 May?

So three manager options - Saviour, Covering, Tournament. The first, if we have the cojones, please.

I think you'll find they lost to Spain in the last 16, not quarter final. A bit of research never hurt a yone

Ok Mr Research, have you researched the better manager? You can have a pop at my mistake but can you put up a managers name who will firstly come and do the job and secondly get us out of the bottom 3?

Surely this is a matter of opinion and as I am not a decision maker at Wolves my opinion is not really relevant. I will always support the club regardless of who is in charge, it could be Mickey Mouse as long as they do the job

Fair point. The problem is the decision maker is Moxey. If his job is to keep the ship steady then I have no problem. It's when he starts talking football. The current situation bothers me due to the fact the decision may be down to restrictions laid down by Wolverhamptons biggest basketball fan and friend of all people in Stoke (not).

I know an out of work manager who has experience of getting teams out of relegation dogfights, he's managed a team to a world cup last 8 and would get the most out of the squad in the final run in.

Jeez, get a life will you? The man has gone, get over it and move on.

He's a joke he got sacked coz he's pony...... Get a grip we better off without him

And the better manager is who? come on you are taking longer than Jez.

I think you'll find he lost on Pens to Spain in the last 16, not quarter finals. Bellshine

Fair enough, anyway the better manager is who?

I got Walsall to the champions league final on manager 11 so I recon lll have a dip.... Quite simple really if u play players where they play instead of out of position we would of won a few more.... He lost the dressing room ... And top marks for the bellshine insult I'm having that one..... And to the chap u were calling a bellshine.... Shut up u bellshine.. Kinda rolls off the tongue( like his mom)

Benitez ...... Curbs........mate mick was a sausage... Best championship manager in the country but lost his nack in the prem...

Listen to all the suggestions off the girls throwing insults

The girls? Haha ur the ones crying coz Micky has gone boo hoo he's jobless and a great manager boo hoo he was good.... Did u not watch us get beat 5-1 to that shower? Have some pride and strive for the best

Ok now your being constructive i actually agree MM had to go. My problem is the timing. When O'Neil was out of work you had the perfect candidate, but now.
Would Rafa come- doubtful.
Was the pressure at Charlton for Curbs the same as at Wolves - No
Being realistic do any of the so called shortlist inspire. Not for me

If Curbishly & Bruce are out of the running for the wolves job with Warnock having gone to Leeds that leave Wolves with one possible candidate, Roy Keane!

Mcarthy is free

Its not has if we have a list of world class managers to pick from they pick a pope faster

If we are the big club we think we are and Morgan and Moxley have the big ambitions they say they have, we should have a queue for the managers job at WWFC.

Mccarthy had his chance he should have gone last season. For god sake he spent 40million quid of Morgans money.Give that kind of money to 75% of the managers in the prem we would be in the top half at least.Just remember he GAVE away the likes of Elliot Bennett,Mark Davies away for nothing and now looks like hes going to Man Utd at the end of the season, and he buys the likes of Eggert Jonnson !!!We will be better off even if we go down because the new manager will have to bring in the youth the likes of Bathh,Zela and Doherty

I agree never should of sold bennett or his bro kyle whos even better than elliot im glad he's gone our youth team might get a chance even if its only the cup least he didnt get didnt sell em thank god

From what gas been said over the weekend and news in the media I dont think either Curbishley or Bruce will get the job; in Bruces case purely down to the backlash from fans re his possible appointment. With this in mind and Moxeys own comments on Sky Sports last night i have a sneaky feeling that Lee Clark will get the job now and his odds have fallen massively to 5-1.

We need to have the new man in tomorrow

5-1... where have I heard that before!

19 Feb 2012 12:05:26
Is it official tht curbishley isnt interested anymore or is it just a jealous baggie

19 Feb 2012 12:01:40
I think rafa will be in charge till end of the season don't no why just a feeling he can distance himself away from it as much as he wants like ED said Morgan's ambitious n Mates with him

hi ed could u please tell me r wolves aloud to talk to managers that r currently employed? and any truth in lambert being interviewed? {Ed001's Note - they can talk to them if they get permission from the club currently employing them. I don't know if it is true or not regarding Lambert, but it is possible.}

What is concerning me is I have just heard an interview on SSN with Moxey. He states we are about half way through the process. Still more candidates to see then 2nd interviews. This is after 6 days. Therefore forget the new man having 13 games to save Wolves it's going to be 12 at best the new man will not arrive in time to influence training prior to Newcastle game. Terry O' Connor will be in charge most likely for this game. Why do Wolves keep dithering get on with it time is not on our side. Just glad Leeds acted so Warnock out of running. In despair we are a shambles.

Wolves do what they always do, which is why the bookies cant split it. Adds to the excitement for tomorrow or Monday
