What broken promises? don't get confused about the speculation of Talisca and others been promised by Shi or that they would but Marquee signings. Wages wise I think we are splashing the cash - I bet all the Benfica guys, Prince and Bodvarson are on around 25K a week minimum - I doubt Price, Saville or Evans are on anywhere near that!
I really wish people would consider the real cost of players rather than just looking at the reported transfer fees.
Luisao will only cost about £2 million or less to sign but his wages will be close to that per year.

Honest opinion guys!
I don't know what to feel so far about Fosun and the direction they intend to go in. To me it seems like they are very oblivious to what it will take to get out of this league with the lack of knowledge of players etc. I keep hearing about Benfica players but surely they need to look outside the box.
Quite frankly the squad we have now is nowhere near good enough for top 2 so to enable us to do this we need to sign 4 TOP players that are literally too good for this league.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is a decent player but he's not top notch. Joao Texeira has looked promising, Helder Costa isn't yet fit enough and Silvio is injured.
The likes of Mario Ballotelli, Talisca, Luis Alberto, Sako, Bamford are exactly what i'm suggesting. These players would literally wreak havoc in the Championship and this is what we need.
The next 2 weeks will show us the intentions of Fosun because at the moment i'm totally underwhelmed by what I have seen.
Theres too much mediocrity in that starting 11 to seriously challenge for promotion.

I have to agree. its been very underwhelming to say the least. no proven Championship experience. all this talk of marquee signings. one thing about the Vile. their owner is putting his money where his mouth is while ours is throwing peanuts into the team. very dissapointed if I am honest.

Take a second . You can already see where wolves might have been had no takeover had happened by the fact that 4 players were signed straight away to improve things. Poor kenny wouldve been shopping at Aldi and Lidls just to loan the shop assistant things were that bad!

Just because we haven't had to pay a big transfer fee, signing on fees and wages will undoubtedly have been a fair amount (as was the sweetener for Silvio to pay up his Athletico contract I should imagine) .
The loan signings seem to be with options to purchase if things work out so I'd rather do business like this than Villa's spending extortionate amounts for Championship quality players who they will need to replace if they go up.

Been saying for weeks that talisca wasn't coming. never was. its just a way to sell more season tickets. but while this has been going on we've missed out on Pritchard, jedinak. chester. etc etc. all good players and just the type of players we need and haven't got. we need some fight and grit because we didn't win a tackle against Ipswich.

We are in a far better position than we were a few weeks ago. With the new signings already in plus a few more before end of Aug`, also Dicko/ Graham to come back I feel quite confidant about this season. I believe these guys are serious. If not this season (which would be tough given the original squad) then next season for sure.

Wolfflea. Yes I do think they were cheap. they might well turn out to be half decent. but the owners are talking about spending 30m plus over next 2 years. I'm yet to see us break the 3-4m barrier yet. whilst as you say Villa are buying proven quality championship players like Mccormack. If the owners came in and said we are going to spend 5 -10 m a season ide be a little less frustrated. We have 2 weeks until deadline day. Ide rather us get the deals done asap so our players can bond and get the points on the board early. that Talisca deal went on for longer than Pogba . they should of just come out and said we are trying to get him rather than the speculation rifle and get fans hopes up. times running out and we need 6-10 qaulity players to stand any chance of promotion. our squad is thread bare 1 or 2 injuries to key players and we will be scrambling around bottom half of table.

Paul T, I fully agree with you. I am happy with our signings so far but we still need a total clear out of our lousy, slow, unimaginative midfield. I'm also OK with the idea of Balotelli joining us but the fact is, we could have Messi and Suarez playing up front but with no service, even they would do naff all. Three more midfielders needed yet to cover for injuries, loss of form, African Cup of Nations etc please Jeff!

Nah unfortunately Bully is too old and knees have gone lol - if you can smell anything it's premature exasperation (just because a big deal looks to have got away from us - remember we are in the Championship and so when top league teams come sniffing of course players are likely to go elsewhere) .
Patience is the key as I'm sure we'll have 4 or 5 more new players (at least) before the window and I'd also bet at least one will be seen as a "big" signing - we're already punching above our weight in the transfer market getting players like Bodvarson and Silvio.

It said yesterday that the paperwork to enable Talisca to move to us had not yet been given the green light and in case it did not come through in time other options were being explored for him. Not sure why a £20m player is not in Benfica's plans but if they don't want him why should he hang around . I guess he isn't in our plans now so let's move on. Hope we don't go panic buying now our marquee signing has gone down the pan.
I hope Prince or Price is going to replace Evans he has done nothing to keep his place .

Right now, Wolves are relegation fodder - in reality, the same core of last season. Must be prepared to pay Premiership wages, otherwise it's just a dream. If Anderson Talisca signs it will show intent, and Joe Hart could be a loan now. Batth the only player frommlast year to improve this season, so far. Saved Wolves v. Ipswich. Bodvarsson is inconsistent.
