17 May 2017 11:57:21
Why? Fulham is a good weekend out.

16 May 2017 20:14:37

16 May 2017 17:52:06
Out of darkness comes the Holy Spirit in the shape of Nuno EspΓrito Santo!
Just thought I'd throw another name in the hat, he also happens to be a Mendes client.

16 May 2017 18:33:46
Out of the darkness comes Bart and Homer Simpson along with Marge dealing with future transfers βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

17 May 2017 04:07:43
Do we have actual names of likely candidates?
So far it seems like quite a shortlist:
Carlos Carvalhal
Marco Silva
Aitor Karanka
Paulo Fonseca
VΓtor Pereira.

17 May 2017 05:01:28
Forgot JosΓ© Couceiro, you could probably throw in other available managers like Claudio Ranieri, Roberto Mancini, JΓΌrgen Klinsmann or Iain Dowie (joking) .

16 May 2017 16:21:36
Just been told by myself that if pep doesn't win any silverware he's coming to wolves πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

16 May 2017 20:49:26
ITW - it's not Karanka it's Cotterill - Steve gets Head Coach job!

16 May 2017 21:00:44
Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

16 May 2017 15:19:41
sshq reporting boro's head of recruitment is leaving he was karanka's r/ hand man. maybe a coincidence?

16 May 2017 15:54:04
He's not wanted there because his recruitment was crap that why he's gone. we need someone who knows how to recruit quality don't we? πŸ˜‰.

16 May 2017 14:34:21
What's going on?

16 May 2017 14:53:05
Don't think anybody knows!

16 May 2017 14:03:20
I'm in agreement. no point in beating around the bush. If you are sacking him. then bloody sack him. no point it delaying the inevitable. unless they are settling/ negotiating on a compensation for Lambert. Just feel sooner it's done sooner we can move on and start shaping a new team. get rid of the flops and priorities the main weak areas in the squad. A must for me is a 20 goal a season striker. then 2 because and a new number one GK with Ikeme as the back up.

16 May 2017 13:56:12
This is all guess work guys but heres my theory.

FOSUN were ok with Lambert until he said he wants to buy British and mould the team around players like coady and Edwards in that interview a month ago. At this point they knew they wanted someone to replace Lambert and that person I believe is Marco Silva. it may sound silly but stay with me.

Wolves would have already announced that Lambert has been dismissed and that our new manager is Karanka if it was karanka we were after. think about it he's not in a job at the moment and it would be fairly easy to just quickly announce it as a deal would be easy to agree.

I believe they were waiting for Hull to get relegated to get Marco Silva. And if they stayed up the second choice would have been Karanka.

The Premier League season is not over yet and Silva is still under contract at Hull. however he has already stated that he wants to move on after Hull.

So I'm just wondering if they are waiting for the Premier League season to finish before they announce anything?

Also have to take into consideration the teams that are in the playoffs and their managers.

It is a crazy Theory but at the same time it could be very possible.

16 May 2017 14:37:36
Yep mate was thinking the same thing.

16 May 2017 15:01:16
My guess is that Silva will feel he has already proven himself as a champions league quality manager at Olympiakos and now a premier league quality manager at Hull. If he just bides his time he will be offered a job at an established prem club by Christmas at the latest. Top of the list is probably Southampton followed by Everton (if Koeman goes to Barcelona) and Watford. Coming down to the Championship will look like a lack of ambition. It could easily take three years to get us promoted and during that time he will start to be seen as a Championship manager.

16 May 2017 13:02:33
Wolves Coast, if Lambert goes it must be Karanka for head coach then we can chant; Aye-Tor Karanka, Ranka, Ranka, Ranka, Ranka Wanderers.

16 May 2017 13:25:56
Sounds too much like, well, never mind.

16 May 2017 13:00:03
Just seen Wednesfield Taxi (official Wolves partner) in Norwich, asked the driver what he was doing there, he said circular tour just dropped a Mr Lambert off the going to Ipswich to pick up and a Mr Mcarthy and a Mr Connor, before returning to Wolverhampton.

16 May 2017 13:04:42
Just joking, but we need to smile at our clubs off field antics sometimes.

16 May 2017 16:26:31
A Wednesfield taxi wouldn't make it down the road without falling apart let alone Norwich lol.

16 May 2017 10:38:55
Waste of everybody's time changing "Head coach" after "Head coach" without any football people at board level the club will just drift along aimlessly. It doesn't take long to become a Blackburn, Blackpool, Portsmouth or Coventry, We've already been there and done that!

16 May 2017 10:52:37
Totally agree, There must be so many people who could take on the role of Director of Football. We don't seem to have a strategy as the board are reporting to a non footballing organisation when they need to have some guidance. Money is no object so get someone with experience and knowledge.

16 May 2017 11:21:44
I would agree we need a proper structure. Someone who has a detailed knowledge of football is required. Maybe that is what Fosun are trying to put together now. I think that is what they tried first of all with Butti as General Manager but it all happened too quickly. Maybe they are having another go at it, but this time they are trying to get the right people in.

I think we just have to reserve judgement until all this is sorted. I think even Paul Tamworth would agree with that, and we've had our disagreements in the past.

16 May 2017 11:59:15
I agree we do need a new structure at the club, no use puttin a new coach in and keepin Thellwell, Mountain, Rob Edwards and Daly. We need to put round pegs in round holes on and off the pitch πŸ‘.

16 May 2017 21:00:04
I also think its time for Thellwell, Rob Edwards, Mountain and Daley to go they have been here to long and added nothing, it wants a clear out.

16 May 2017 09:55:11
I think that it is time for a shake up at the top, As a club we are quickly losing our identity and style of play. We have been served up drab rubbish for a couple of years now and simply play on the break.
I would look at bringing in a footballing director of football, someone who is given the remit to create an attacking team. And then use Mendes to put the players into this system together with the kids. Fosun need a footballing man at the top to give some stability, Hoddle, Mclaren, It simply doesn't work in this league with Thelwell.

16 May 2017 11:05:44
I've been saying this for a very long time now, about a shake at the top! We have already lost credibility as a club because of all the porkies our leaders have spouted to our management. This has been made known to the rest of the football world, so trust and credibility have flown down the tubes.

During any conversation you would always be asking yourself is this the truth or just a pile of you know what! Nobody can work in that type of environment can they? Very big changes needed from the top down, preferably with people who do have football knowledge and are trusted with a good line of credibility! The new Manager/ coach has to be quality and given time to do the job and likely come with his trusted staff. Rant over!

βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

16 May 2017 12:43:03
Its incredible really that there is no one with a link to Wolverhampton that could do this, obviously we tried John richards some time ago but since then nobody comes to mind really. It won't happen but someone like Hoddle as DOF and paul Ince as coach means there is a connection.

But if we are going to go with the Mendes connection which of course we should, its not about his 10%. He has Ronaldo on the books do you think he needs the money, he wants to find some Costa's which is great. How successful were we before, Saville and co.

Think bigger picture Wolves fans, Fosun are fantastic for the long term future have some patience.

16 May 2017 12:47:00
Personally, if we can't have Marco Silva I would rather we had Pardew or Moyes than Karanka! Just a personal choice! At least they both have a lot of experience at the right level! βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

16 May 2017 13:44:03
Eogg52, it's a little hard not to think it's about Mendes' 10% as that is his career and how he makes his living. No matter how you dress it up, it's a conflict of interests.

Ok, if you want Mendes involved, a slightly more palitable way would be to hire him as a consultant. That way he takes no cut of sales but maintains an income and has a responsibility to the club to do what is best for the club, not himself. As it stands he has no accountability.

So far he has found one good player. The rest have been poor, so I am not exactly shouting from the rooftops that this guy should be involved anyway.

With regards to the bigger picture, buying and selling players for a profit on a 12 monthly cycle may make money for Fosun but it does not build a squad and we will not achieve anything apart from being a cash cow for someone.

16 May 2017 13:54:55
I think that we will know when the Costa position is established if he stays for a season under a new manager then I think we would all think differently.

How many players are actually clients of Mendes, I think its only two!

16 May 2017 15:34:34
And the loan players?

16 May 2017 15:40:52
I would have thought that the four Portuguese signings were with Mendes at the very least.

16 May 2017 16:33:28
When you check the signings out only three were under the Mendes banner. He also negotiated the Costa deal over the duration of his contract so that it wouldn't affect FFP.

The person who should go is the person who agreed the Gladon deal!
Thelwell

Director of Football :- Glenn Hoddle
Alan Curbishley

With a role to creating a playing style for the club and making sure the youngsters in the club progress.

16 May 2017 18:13:36
Eogg52, I agree with you absolutely about Hoddle. I'd have him as Director of Football any day.

16 May 2017 19:17:45
And Hoddle with his links to Monaco too!

Have some courage fosun and go for it!
