Had a it one else seen the article about Jez and the club not wanting to pay championship wages?!

Yes I know ATM were in league 1 bit surely they must see us as a top championship- prem team in the next 3-5 years I know I certainly expect us to be in or around there

If they don't see that as the ambition we are building a cheap side to stay in the championship if we go up that is!

How many times have we brought cheap pllayers who can't adapt in the higher leagues I agree young and hungry especially if they have potential yes I agree but surely we should look at buying or atleastbtrying for players like waghorn, wood, Emmanuel Thomas mcgregor and even frimpong etc. players who can adapt jacket can get the best out of them like he has done?!

Surely with the size of are club and facilities along with the aim on prem in 3-5 years we could attract them.

Ship on players like sako Doyle foley O hara if they aren't going to play with these gone offer then a good package and bring back some glory let jacket to continue his good work but not have to do it in a show string!

This wouldn't surprise me why we didn't get Philips as surely we could have guranted him
more game time with a coaching role in the making?

Easier said than done on shipping out Sako, Doyle, O'Hara and Foley. If they could of done they would of done. All these are on premiership wages so they're only trying to balance the wages out it's just that these 4 are taking up the bulk of it and contributing nothing!

Yes the aim should be to get back to the EPL, personally it is more fun winning in L1 than losing most weeks in EPL.

On the subject of wages, we are already paying over the going rate for L1, KJ has recruited some good young players who will develop together, a bit like Mick did. The problems come when judgement is needed on when a player is past their best but still worth good money. That is where Sir Alex was really good and Mick wasn't.

Players in the championship are probably on about £20k. I think he means we won't pay that kind of wages now not for the foreseeable future. I don't think the article was meant for us, I think it was more of a message to the players and agents. Philips was never meant for us he's not a wolf and why waste wages on him when we can use the money on a younger player who ain't a journey man.

We can't have a premier league team in league one. Be patient and let them build the team if and when we go up

Ave weekly in EPL - £22,000
Championship - £4,000
L1 - £1500
L2 - £747

Do those figures intimate that many of our players from EPL have a decimal place too many on relegation. if my boss wanted to over pay me for nothing in return then I wouldn't be in any rush to go anywhere.

Agree with you DAT. I like seeing us win. The PL is about staying up and trying not to be as rubbish as 3 other clubs. Also with moving players on. Imagine Man United holding on to players who don't make the team. They are sold to the likes of Sunderland and Fulham. I think Jackett is more dispassionate than Mick. He drops players when they underperform. In time he'll ship them out too.
