Best player to go for who has been mentioned has got to be Cameron Jerome. He's the only one who's never played complete crap for a season. Cole has as I'm sure we all remember and Jackson is 3 goals for 15...I know it's championship but that's poor. Doyle got something like that and look at all the goals he scores in this league.

Accually it's the prem for Jackson and out of those 15 games he's only started 6 so it's not that bad

When did doyle last score a goal!?

No thanks, i remember seeing Jerome at Blues fall over his own feet when one on one with the keeper! EBW

If Jerome is the best we can hope for then we're in trouble

we have to be honest here we need a rb, a cb and a lb, then we need a ball playing midfielder, and two strikers, do you honestly think we will get half that be lucky if we get 2players, morgan has done the liverpool connection again. first jan molby with stalle who nobody had ever heard of, then souness with ds, who by any stretch of the imagination is mediocre at best but hope he does well, but until the morgan era as gone from the mol we will always be has beens.

The Morgan era has brought a championship winning team and 3 years in the prem, please what era do you long for?

How about we give DS a chance. I not disagreeing about the players but it was mm that us in this mess. However I would point out that as fans we may need to be positive rather negative, people might want to join us then.

Balls to Saunders...and Morgan...

Starting to get a bit pi**ed off with people blaming the current squad on MM. The guy took over this team at one of the lowest points we have ever had after that useless tw*t Hoddle ran off. He put together a young and hungry team full of passion, who wanted to play for the badge and for us. He got us promoted and gave us three years in the promised land. The reason for relegation is the board and that contemptable worm Moxey, what MM needed was support in the transfer market and funds, he got neither. We have come back down with essentialy the same squad we went up with.( a championship one)
I fully believe that Mick was asking for players to be brought in to keep us up and that Moxey would not stump up the cash. The only decent player bought was o'hara and he was never going to be able to keep us up on his own. So rather than slag off a gentleman who slogged his guts out for us with a mediocre but enthusiastic squad, how about you start putting the blame firmly where it lies at Moxeys feet.
Moxey is a cancer, i bet he is still paying himself more than most in his position in the prem.
If this club is truly going to progress he either has to go and go soon or be put into a little office next to the man who sells the pies and kept away from anything to do with football. Personally i look forward to Mick doing a biography so that we can finally find out how much Moxey got involved and trashed our great club.

Agree but MM seems like too much of a gentleman to write about internal operations at Wolves. However some of the blame has to lie on MM though he was the one who decided certain players were not good enough when they were.

Do we know if anyone has put in a bid, not an enquiry for ANY of our players - including MM?

16 Jan 2013 21:19:41
it just goes to show you when your in the prem we can get the likes of doyle 6 and a half mill. fletcher 7 and a half mill. now we are in the bottom half of the championship people on here saying lets get saha 37 injury prone, prem clubs don't want him as a bit player. and dj cambell had more clubs than tiger woods. we are only going to attract players who have had there day or lower leauge players

Bringing in DS hasn't helped. Most talented players are going to steer clear until we've got something going for us. The bottom half of the Championship isn't exactly a calling card for the young and ambitious.
Hackney Marsh Stroller

That can be said for any manager, not just DS!!

Hackney Marsh Stroller - the pure air of the marshes on a Sunday morning has obviously left you with a legacy of realism. Right now any ambitious players will steer clear until the dust has settled. The club is seen by independents as a laughing stock/a suitable case for treatment, and my worry is that we're descending into a cycle of mediocrity.
Perhaps if the Ed passes on my details we can meet in the Princess of Wales or Clapton Hart, and cry into our beer.

Still can't see the sense in sending ismaill to mk on loan he hardly gets any minutes under his belt surley he would benifit from being on our bench nd training with first team

16 Jan 2013 21:00:50
Brighton sign a striker for 2 mil yet our scouse owner won't open up his war chest to strengthen our strike department.....
Morgan sort it out for f**k sake!

Apparently we won't be doing any signings this month. Well according to WFE that is.

TDW {Ed003's Note - I think there was something regarding Brighton's finances going around the other day,just like Cardiff's,don't fall into a trap where these clubs are financially better off they are not, they are just chasing a dream(£) and history tells you it isn't as simple as that}

The Pearce lad from west ham, who's playing rwb tonight against united looks like a good prospect, wolves could do with a player who is like that, he's had nani in his pocket do far this game and with him only making his 10th appearance for the hammers tonight he looks worth a cheeky bid? He can't be worth than foley!! Aswell as Zubar is too much of a liability what do you think lads?

The leftback potts looks good

16 Jan 2013 20:29:06
griffiths is back on loan at hibs till the end of the season

16 Jan 2013 20:25:02
I am a real insider.
As it's to cold to go outsider

16 Jan 2013 19:38:25
16 days into transfer market and once again nothing positive.

16 Jan 2013 19:26:06
Norwich just turned bid down of 800k from Wolves for Jackson, Moxey said that's a fair offer and HE won't pay over the odds for anyone. Here we go again. P.J.

No signing there then! Wake up Morgan and sack the greasy person!

Where's the source or is it just speculation...
We only need him on loan at the moment and a view to purchase at the end of the season.

Gutted. I had heard a strong rumour from within the Molineux walls that DS has already upset Morgan with his potential targets and that Morgan was in extended talks with Pep Guardiola about the Molineux managers position. And now he has been announced by Bayern Muncheon as there new boss i am gutted. Thought we were about to hit the big time. This was a genuine rumour as my mates moms sister cleans the WV1 restaurent and she is well up on the hot news.

Stevie Wolf {Ed011's Note - I had heard that Pep often went to the WV1 restaurant after a night out shopping at ASDA.

No the real reason was that Morgan doesn't like a quitter.

Bryan Munich is a very persuasive man lol

16 Jan 2013 11:56:28
jackson upfront with dj cambell, doyle feeding them then ohara in center of midfeild the goals will come then

Don't think Doyle would be any good in that role IMO. If your going to play him as a CAM you might as well sell him and use the cash to buy a proper CAM. I have defended Doyle time and time again and he is a good player, don't get me wrong. But he does not fit into our team really. Unless he can turn it around and start scoring more often, then I think we should consider selling him. For me that's hard to say because I as well as many other wolves fans love him.

with QPR buying a new team... lets have a cheeky bid for Jamie Mackie..... get him in with Frimpong that would make me very happy
UTW

gazz r

Plz stop the Frimpong banter I'd rather put berra in midfield frimmy is sooooo over rated by us wolves fans it makes me laugh

Mackie would be so good for us! he has so much energy but unlike Doyle he can actually score, I say we should capitalise on his lack of games at Qpr and the arrival of remy and just put in a 1million bid I believe he's worth more but I'm sure Qpr would like him off the wage bill with remy and presumably mvillas wages

John Arne Riise has been told he can leave Fulham on a free. He's better than Ward and wouldn't command a huge salary. Worth getting him in?

Worth a try

Bags of experience and still a few years left in the tank, think he would look a world beater in the championship if I was DS I'd put a cheeky bid in if we can convince him to drop a league. Ironically isn't he a Norwegian prob would have for Stale.

John Arne riise is a great player i grew up admiring him, he is defo worth a shot, goal a goal or two in him and helps out midfielders...

He oozes talent. Would be great if he came, even if only till the end of the season. Or sign him permanently and make him captain.

Id always get scared when he heads the ball out his box because of what happened when he played for Liverpool against Chelsea in the champions league semis or quarters

16 Jan 2013 09:46:23
Just seen Fulham have granted John Arne Riise a free transfer after falling out with Martin Jol, well worth giving him a go.

Posted this last night, slow coach!

Sorry I'm normally in bed at 00:13...I'll remember to read every post in future. #getalife

Why are some people on here so harsh on anyone who dares to make a mistake/miss something or to make a suggestion outside the box? How about we treat everyone as fellow supporters with a common aim and not as morons!

16 Jan 2013 09:46:15
No chance signing Bertrand!!!
Djwolf

16 Jan 2013 07:49:24
We want DJ Campbell he is a beast.

16 Jan 2013 07:42:19
Jon Harley been released by Portsmouth
Worth a punt better lb than ward and then
Give ward a chance up top
Djwolf

That good he's been released for league one club

16 Jan 2013 07:24:22
At the end of the day you can run round all you want but it's goals a forward is judged on and doyles goal return has not been good enough and that's why he has already not left the club

16 Jan 2013 07:17:11
well only 15 days left of the transfer window left still no news no nothing,

Could be all on the last day. Mind we said this before and only ended with Bassong on loan.

16 Jan 2013 06:28:07
Can't fault his efforts. However, as a striker he's paid to score, which he doesn't. If I underperformed at work would probably get sacked. Plus, I'd rather have someone who maybe lazy but scores 20 plus a season.
